Badry nous a super bien accueilli. Un chauffeur est venu nous récupérer au Caire et nous a conduit jusqu’au camp de Badry. Une fois arrivés Badry nous a demandé si on voulait aller 1 ou 2 nuits dans le désert et après s’être mis d’accord sur le prix, il a été super efficace pour nous trouver un chauffeur pour commencer l’aventure dans le désert blanc ! Le trip désert était époustouflant ! Fox : notre chauffeur, guide, cuisinier était génial !

J’aurai préféré que Badry me donne les prix pour la partie désert avant le départ car c’était un peu la surprise

Food was Excellent and made to order. Amazing selection. Care from the kitchen. Mr. Badry and staff are extremely helpful and make big efforts to ensure everything is to guest satisfaction. Mr. Barry asked every day if we were enjoying our stay and if we need anything else. We recommend the view of the city from their viewing point. Very pretty and a lovely environment to begin a desert safari from. The hotel arranged our trip and the guide—Mr. Rada—was polite, clear in communication, and made sure we knew what to expect and the schedule for each stop. We will make the same trips again because of such a positive experience.

Very friendly staff. Made us feel at home, responded to special requests and helped organise our desert excursions. We had a great stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a base to explore the wonderful deserts :) Kids had so much fun!

Ich Blicke auf meinen Aufenthalt mit gemischten Gefühlen. Das Gute zuerst: Badri hat mir per Telefon geholfen, einen Bus nach bawiti zu finden und holte mich ab. Das war eine große hilfe!Er ist sehr hilfsbereit und bot mir sogar ein größeres Zimmer an, das ich aber nicht annahm. Ich sagte ihm, ich möchte bitte vorher wissen, wenn etwas extra verrechnet wird, und er sagt no worries... und lud mich auf mehrere Kleine Ausflüge Ein und immer wieder Tee, kekse... Der Ort ist sehr schön, hinten erstrecken sich Tafelberge, man kann direkt in die Natur lisspazieren, außerdem gibt es Tiere und ich konnte ein neugeborenen Schaf kennenlernen und Wolle, die weggeschmissen werden sollte, mitnehmen. Danke dafür! Und ich habe wunderbar geschlafen, in der Nacht ist es sehr ruhig.

Die Unterkunft entspricht nur teilweise den Fotos, es gibt viele Verwahrloste Ecken mit Müll, alten Polstermöbel die herum stehen... Kontakt zu gastgeber: Gastfreundschaft gepaart mit Machtdynamiken. Als ich eine Wüstentour von einem anderen Anbieter in Erwägung zog, weil er gerade keine tour hatte, wirkte er verärgert, redete schlecht über andere Anbieter. Zum Schluss verrechnet er das Abendessen -fair enough- und als ich sagte ich zahle gern aber hätte es gern vorher gewusst, da wurde er verärgert. Er wurde auch gereizt dass ich nicht schon vor meiner Abreise eine booking Bewertung schrieb, obwohl er mich mehrmals bat - ich wollte es gern nach meinem Aufenthalt machen. Als Frau habe ich immer etwas wachsames in mir gespürt, konnte nicht ganz entspanne. Er bat mich am Abend zu tanzen (nachdem ich kurz getrommelt und er gesungen hat) und war recht touchy, hat öfter versucht mich am Arm zu berühren und ich musste einer Umarmung ausweichen... Also sehr gemischt, ich hatte schöne Erlebnisse mit ihm, seine Gastfreundschaft ist wirklich bemerkenswert, aber da waren seltsame power dynamiken und Spielchen, die ich nicht mag. Für wen das passt oder nur kurze Durchreise ist das sicher kein Problem. Als Frau allein eher keine Empfehlung.

Wszystko ok. Cisza spokój duży pokój . Bardzo dobre śniadania oraz kolacje. Byliśmy w styczniu noce są wtedy bardzo zimne - trzeba o tym pamiętać .

We stayed in one of the larger (family) rooms. The room was newly built, clean, and comfortable. Internet/Wifi worked well and the breakfast was good. But the main reason for staying here was to take the overnight camping tour in the White Desert. This tour was excellent - great scenary, nice camping spots, great guides, and fresly prepared meals. It was well worth it. Badry, the owner, was very helpful and spoke good English. He arranged couple different tours for us.

This camp is excellent for relaxation and any type of spiritual development. Badry is an excellent and welcoming host with staff with the same values. The food was ample and up to our trained taste buds. The Black Desert is around the corner and the White is an amazing jeep-ride away. Thank you very much.

Badry Sahara Camp offers a unique stay in the Bahariya Oasis. It's less of a traditional hotel and more of a rustic camp experience, focusing on the natural surroundings and a laid-back atmosphere. Mr. Badry, the owner, is really helpful. He answered all of our questions about the area and the local culture. He, even, offered to drive us to the town! The rest of the staff is also very helpful and friendly. It's a budget-friendly option offering good value for the experience.

Amazing stay and experience! Me and my girlfriend spent one night at the camp before going for a one-night trip to the black and the white desert, and we fell in love with the place, with Badry and with the other people who work there. The hospitality and kindness are unmatched, the location is stunning and their experience in the desert make Badry Sahara Camp an amazing choice for your stay in Bawiti and for visiting the white and black desert with some extra days of rest. Thank you to Badry and to everyone who made our experience unforgettable. We'll surely come back!

Falling asleep to the sound of chirping crickets is a priceless experience after the aural onslaught that is urban Egypt. Half of the thatch huts have been replaced with lovely brick domed en suite rooms. I stayed in both and while the brick rooms have ensuite plumbing, there was a certain nostalgic charm and quiet in the thatch hut. I was there in winter and the thatch hut was comfortable inside, and the thick bedding ensured a warm and comfortable sleep. Meals were simple and tasty. I was surprised to be served fish so deep in the desert, delicious fish and chips in fact! Thank you Badry and sons, I look forward to my next visit.

The location is a bit far out of town, but this is actually a very good thing. Mr Badry kindly picked me up in town where I got off the bus from Cairo. The bath house is showing age, please be understanding and gentle with the faucet taps. Your patronage will help repairs along.

Very “natural”, good location, great food, very friendly staff

The little huts are very nice and cozy. There was always a fire after the tasty dinner to sit at and drink some tea. The hosts were very nice and helped us in any way we needed, including picking us up from the bus drop off and getting our beduin pants tailored!! We did an amazing three night trip into the desert - our guides were great and so nice to us!

Nice staff and was a good stop before my desert camping trip. Be prepared for a small room and a shared bathroom. It's basically camping plus.

The shower floor could have been cleaned better.

Badry and his son Ahmad are such amazing hosts. The place is great with basic amenities but the food and the cats are great. At night it is super peaceful and you can see the moon rise which a true magical feeling. I also booked a one day safari with Ahmad and he showed me all the major sites. It was such an amazing experience and the family are super nice human beings!

I wish I had more time!
