The rooms are very nice and spacious, with comfortable beds. It’s a quiet place, and we slept very well. There’s a nice pool and a good breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place.

Grande chambre au confort très moyen. Mais avec le breakfast excellent. Personnel sympathique mais insistez bien pour pouvoir payer par carte bancaire car ils vont d'abord vous dire que ce n’est pas possible ( car bien entendu ils préfèrent le cash) alors qu'au final c’est ok.

Nous dire que la carte bancaire n’est pas possible et qu’ensuite, après avoir insisté, c’est OK !!!

Staff were very helpful especially helping us arrange a coach at short notice due to flight changes. The room was pleasant and the bed was comfy. A short tuk tuk to see the sights.

The shower was a little tired and needs new shower head fittings.

Guter Ausgangspunkt für Sehenswürdigkeiten und Tour zum Wilpattu NP (Leoparden) Ausgezeichneter Fahrer verfügbar (Leo Wild) Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In einer speziellen Situation, Unfall, erhielten wir nach Telefonat ins Hotel, sofort Hilfe und Unterstützung.

Großes, sauberes Zimmer mit großen Balkon. Schöner, sauberer Pool. Sehr, sehr freundliches Personal! Die Lage etwas außerhalb war für uns vollkommen in Ordnung, da wir ein eigenes TukTuk hatten und gerne etwas ruhiger wohnen. Leckeres Frühstück.

Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft eher einfacher gestaltet. Das Badezimmer ist funktional, nicht mehr das modernste. Besonders im Frühstücksbereich (durch die offene Raumgestaltung) Mücken.

The location is very convenient. Tge breakfast was excellent. More importantly, Sanjaya and his staff provided us excellent service.

Onze 2 nachtjes waren geweldig. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en hielp ons met het regelen van onze scooter, een guided tour in Anuradphura, tips voor Mihintale en we mochten zelfs onze spullen in een andere hotelkamer leggen na onze check-out. Daarbij is het zwembad erg ontspannend, het ontbijt heel uitgebreid, de locatie net buiten Anuradphura ook prettig en dat alles voor een zeer goede prijs.

De 4 gezellige mannen die samen het hotel runnen. Alles gebeurt met veel humor. Ik was daar jarig ,werd 70 jaar en ze hebben een geweldige verrassing voor me gemaakt met taart, heel veel ballonnen en een confettikanon. Het zwembad is heerlijk en voor een fijne massage hoefden we alleen naar de buren. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en de rice en curry smaakten prima

Kényelmes tágas szoba, minden reggel két gyönyörű szarvcsőrű madár kukucskált be az erkényablakon. A vendéglátòink végtelenül kedvesek voltak, és nagyon jól főznek itt (nem gondoltam volna, hogy egy vegetable sandwich ennyire finom lehet). Kellemes medence is van a kertben. Nagyon jó ár - érték arány! Köszönünk mindent.

rustige ligging in groene omgeving het personeel is zo vriendelijk en behulpzaam vergeet vooral niet om 's avonds de curry te eten, je moet dit 1 dag van te voren bestellen ivm de vele kruiden die in moeten werken een heerlijke rijsttafel klein zwembad om af te koelen. het bed ligt prima en de kamer is ruim wij hebben alle excursies in het hotel geboekt , ze rekenen normale prijzen.

The hosts were very attentive and friendly. The room was very clean. Breakfast and dinner were freshly made and it was delicious! On the first day of our arrival, it was not possible to order dinner. While we were working on our laptop in the common area, the host surprised us with a cheese/egg sandwich and he offered us hot tea. Hairdryer available.

Fantastic room in a quiet area, just ten to fifteen minutes from any of the sites. Wonderful staff, wonderful breakfasts and dinners. They were all so helpful and went out of their way to accommodate any requests I had. They even built me an adaptor when I didn’t bring the proper kind. Fantastic, refreshing, VERY CLEAN pool was a huge bonus!!

Està una mica lluny del centre i, com que es troba a prop d’un llac, hi havia un munt de mosquits.

Fantastic breakfast and amazing curries in the evening. The staff were incredibly helpful with arranging a tuk tuk to view key sites. The staff were really flexible about check out time and helped us with a change in travel plans with onward travel. The pool was great fun with the kids

Guests should plan ahead and place dinner orders well in time, as dining options around the property are limited. Overall, it’s a no-frills, value-for-money stay that delivers exactly what it promises

The amazing staff. Maybe not the most luxurious place you'll find in sri lanka, but definitely the place with the nicest staff. The room was very big with comfortable bed and a good working ac. The location at the lake is very nice and close to mihintale. Staff helped us out with the ancient tour for reasonable prices. Dinner and breakfast were absolutely amazing and full of taste. Staff did anything to make you feel comfortable.

Posizione molto tranquilla ma con pochissimi servizi appena fuori l'hotel. Camera tripla ampia, pulita e comoda. Personale gentile ma solo pochi parlano inglese. Piscina piccola ma carinissima, abbiamo apprezzato lo spazio esterno. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Purtroppo non c'è un ristorante all'interno, si può ordinare del cibo a domicilio ma non era granché. Non vendono nulla all'interno dell'hotel, ho chiesto una birra e dopo 40 minuti me ne hanno consegnata una calda! Sono dovuto uscire a comprarne una io fuori. Molto scomodo.

We ordered Sri Lankan breakfast, it was a dream. Fresh and tasty. We took it at the pool area. So nice this bamboo, wish to have it on my terrace. The rooms were pretty, large balconies to the palms, quiet, a bit from the ugly new city away.

Outstanding stay, food was some of the best food we had our entire trip in Sri Lanka. The staff are amazing, they will go out of their way to ensure your stay is peaceful, organised and that you have everything you need. We organised a city tour and safari through the hotel which both went so smoothly, they did our washing for us and a great pool. The safari was a highlight for our trip and the hotel thought of everything for us down to the toilet roll! Can not fault this place at all, pro tip definitely try the banana fritters.

Het personeel heeft er alles aan gedaan om ons een fijne tijd te bezorgen. Bij onze aankomst en constatering dat we nog niet geluncht hadden, kwamen ze ons even later een heerlijke loempia brengen met een pot thee. Ze informeerden regelmatig of alles naar wens is. De omgeving is rustig. Het was een heerlijk groot bed en een lekker zwembad.

Las camas eran comodísimas. La pisicina está genial. La zona de los templos queda bastante cerca.

La ducha no tenía casi presión y nos costó mucho ducharnos. El WiFi va terriblemente mal. A las instalaciones les falta un poco más de cuidado.

L'habitació era molt gran, espaiosa, neta i confortable. El personal és molt amable.

Faltava una mica d'espai al voltant de la piscina per prendre el sòl. Les tumbones de fusta eren molt incòmodes.

La comida tenía precios muy caros

Fijne grote kamer met veel lichtinval. De bedden waren prima. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en het personeel was erg vriendelijk. We hebben er ook 's avonds gegeten, dat was ook erg lekker. Toen onze chauffeur pech had met de auto mochten we langer in de kamer blijven.

Resort is een te groot woord voor dit hotel. Het zwembad en de buitenruimte waren een beetje eenvoudig.

Leuk en betaalbaar onderkomen, ontbijt was goed, het hotel was niet centraal gelegen, maar voor 400 roepee zit je in het centrum.

De ligging was niet ideaal.

Hele goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Heerlijk zwembad om af te koelen met leuke sfeer. Personeel doet alles voor je om het je naar je zin te maken en is erg vriendelijk. Ruime en comfortabele kamers met goede airco. Het zwembad en de bedjes bij het zwembad konden iets schoner, maar dat was niet storend.

Het personeel was uiterst vriendelijk en deed er alles aan om het naar je zin te maken. Ze hadden de Willpattu-safari voor ons geregeld, wat top georganiseerd was! Ook een groot voordeel is de gratis laundry service.

Helaas heeft het hotel wel wat liefde nodig. De kamers zijn wat vervallen en worden niet heel goed schoongemaakt. Daarnaast was er een probleem met mieren op het balkon en in de badkamer.

Owners were nice and friendly, they were very helpful with changing the booking and helping us start our tuktuk in the middle of the night. Beds were comfortable. Spacious room.

Camere spaziose e abbastanza curate, pulite. Staff gentile anche se parla poco inglese ma ci si capisce. Colazione abbondante e buona. Bella piscina.

The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were huge, very clean and comfortable and good value for money. Away from the hustle and bustle of town but very easy to get a tuk tub wherever you wanted to go which is easily arranged for you. We went to the old market and got some good bargains. The swimming pool was clean and nice and cool.

Ein super Hotel, das Personal hat sich um alles super gekümmert. Die Safari die wir über das Hotel gebucht hatten war genial. Uns wurde immer geholfen. Es war alles sauber und das Zimmer war sehr ruhig und super Ausgestattet.

Leider ist die Toilette während unseren Aufenthalt kaputt gegangen. Leider konnte dies nicht repariert werden. Zudem war die Wäsche die wir dort waschen lassen haben dreckiger als zuvor.

Chambre très spacieuse, literie très confortable. Personnel très agréable et aux petits soins. Petits-déjeuners et restauration du soir de très bonne qualité et à prix raisonnable. Rien à redire.

Le traitement de la piscine doit être un peu fort, nos 2 enfants ont eu des réactions cutanée.

We liked this as it was a little outside the busy city, but close enough to the old city and all the history. The pool was bigger than expected and refreshing after a busy day exploring

Der Pool schön. Leider war irgendwas mit dem Wasser, was ein unangenehmes Gefühl auf der Haut u in den Augen hinterließ. Das Wasser aus den Hähnen im Bad hat unangenehm gerochen.

Había en bastantes telarañas y en zonas comunes y habitaciones (se pueden quitar cuando se limpia). También las hormigas llegaban encima de la cama y se metieron en la mochila. Podrían tirar algún producto por el cabezero de la cama y esquinas para evitar que haya tantas hormigas y que se metan en la cama.

Rustige ligging, ruime kamers, vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt. Ze regelden ook een fijne tuktuk driver die ons naar Mihintale en de old city heeft geleid.

Bedjes bij zwembad zijn niet heel comfortabel. Een matrasje erop zou fijn zijn. Er is vrijwel geen schaduw. Verder was het zwembad niet helemaal schoon (alg). Het personeel was niet goed op de hoogte van de bustijden naar Tricomalee. Wij werden hierdoor twee uur te vroeg op het busstation afgezet. De bus gaat om 11.50 en niet om 10.15 uur zoals het hotel vertelde.

Ongelofelijk aardig personeel die alles voor ons regelde: fantastische safari en Tuktuk naar de tempels. Het zwembad is top! En een avond eten in het hotel is ook een aanrader, echt heerlijke curry! En de bedden zijn groot en slapen heerlijk! Een dikke 10 dus!!

When i booked the place I liked it, based on the reviews and the pictures. After hours of searching online, I booked this place as I thought it would be a convenient place for our elderly mother. After i started my journey to Colombo I received a message from the property manager, cancelling my booking. I had provided my credit card information already, and I am yet to find any charges! Apparently it was double booked. The message I received was on cancelling and nothing more, asked to contact them via booking.com. i was driving at the moment and didnt have any alternative day to switch the trip. I called the manager on whatsapp and he worked with me to find a place, in between my husband panicked and ended up booking a horrible place for double the price

I wish I had a chance to stay and add a comment.The worst was, booking.com had no idea about the cancellation and they asked me why I didn't stay! i am very suspicious about any fines or charges imposed on my account !

Si l’hôtel est un peu excentré les chambres sont très propres, la climatisation au top. La piscine fait un bien fou au retour de balades et est très propres et d’une bonne taille. Le personnel est vraiment très bienveillant et propose de nombreux services à des prix vraiment très très corrects. Le petit déjeuner est bon et complet En résumé nous recommandons cet hôtel

We arrived at 8pm, raining cats and dogs and they could not provide for dinner. The person in charge was rude and unprofessional. Very unwelcoming. Our guide later told us that the manager was “drunk and rude”.

Très bel accueil dès l'arrivée dans l'établissement ! Tout le monde est au petit soin pour qu'on se sente bien et qu'on ne manque de rien. Bien que nous soyons arrivés tard, nous avons quand même pu déguster un excellent kottu au bord de la piscine ! Les chambres sont grandes et propres. La piscine est ouverte en permanence. Notre chauffeur a également été très bien logé et reçu. Un grand merci à toute l'équipe. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel.

We had a wonderful stay at Thinaya Lake Resort. Upon arrival, we received a very warm welcome, and throughout our stay the staff did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were well taken care of and incredibly tasty. The hotel has a spacious and pleasant swimming pool, perfect for relaxing. Our room was clean, spacious, and had very comfortable beds. What made our stay even more special was the help we received from Pradeep. We were supposed to go to Ceylon Resort Wilpattu for a stay and safari after our time at Thinaya, but that was cancelled last minute. Pradeep went out of his way to help us and arranged a safari for us upon checkout. We were picked up early the next morning from an alternative hotel, and he even arranged breakfast and lunch for us to take along. All in all, we had a fantastic stay at a lovely hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful people. Highly recommended.
