* Toilet paper could not be flushed (which is rather common in the accommodations in Taiwan yet still unattractive to me)

Reviewed Apr 26, 2026Memories Homestay was quiet, comfortable, clean and conveniently located in Xincheng township. It is a 20min walk from/to the train station but the staff was helpful and booked us a taxi. I definitely recommend staying there for a day trip to Taroko Gorge.

Reviewed Apr 23, 2026Der Rezeptionist war sehr freundlich, sprach sehr gutes Englisch und hat uns sowohl beim Check-in als auch bei der Nutzung der Waschmaschine und der Kaffeemaschine bestens unterstützt. Besonders positiv war, dass kostenlos Snacks, Instantnudeln sowie Kaffee mit Milch und Zucker zur Verfügung gestellt wurden. Das Zimmer selbst war sehr geräumig und verfügte über eine eigene Sitzecke. Das Bett war bequem, und das bereitgestellte Shampoo sowie Duschgel haben sehr angenehm gerochen. Toll war auch, dass wir unsere Fahrräder sicher im Ergeschoss abstellen konnten. Wir hatten insgesamt einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt und können die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

Reviewed Apr 19, 2026No breakfast however the lobby always puts some snacks and instant noodles available for guests! The room was spacious and the beds comfortable which allowed us to have a good night sleep. Conveniently located close to the train station and convenience stores. Laundry machine available to use for free.
The receptionist hours were a bit uncertain. However, they provide you with the door password so you can access anytime. It's hard for me to put more than 8/10 because the town itself is a bit sad and the overall atmosphere is a bit gloomy, but the hostel itself is doing a good job.

Reviewed Mar 30, 2026The room was light and clean. The view from the window was amazing, especially in the morning with clouds above the mountains. There was enough space to put my bag and a jacket, and a nice table with chairs in front of the window, so you can read a book or just look out the window. Even though toothpaste and a toothbrush were not provided, there was a soup, shower gel and shampoo.
The smell in the hall on the first floor was a bit too intense, and it didn't feel comfortable staying around there. Also, the shower head did not work properly. It would be nice if there was a smaller pillow option.

Reviewed Feb 28, 2026位子還算滿方便抵達，員工素質也不錯，只是停車位卻是要停在馬路兩側對愛車的客人有點難接受，民宿環境算是蠻乾淨的，房間也很大，我們是選海景房陽台打開就看的到，然後甚至有兩個陽台都比我家裡房間還大了😂。
或許應該是熱水，要浪費很多水後才有熱水。

Reviewed Jan 7, 2026因位置在花蓮新城鄉，所以附近商家大部分都很早休息，旅店裡準備了泡麵、餅乾、沖泡咖啡等等，給了旅人一個應急的方便，不怕臨時到來沒東西吃餓肚子，非常貼心。房間非常乾淨，接待人員親切，都非常加分。但有點建議，一、泡麵可以準備葷、素各一種，就更貼心了。二、房間衣服掛鉤不足，且有些損壞，掛夏季衣服可能還可以，但冬季衣服較重，吊掛就有問題了。
