Abhi Homestay Hampi

Deux réservations. Une grande chambre meublée avec de beaux meubles anciens, une autre plus petite, meublée aussi avec goût. Au calme, à 3 km du centre de hampi, nous avions une voiture, mais il y a suffisamment de tuktuk pour se déplacer. Boutiques, restaurants à proximité. La clim de ma chambre était à l'agonie, si bien que je n'avais pas vu la différence lorsqu'il y avait des baisses de tension qui faisait que seules les lampes et ventilateur fonctionnaient.

Oubli ou mesquinerie. Je ne demande pas des kits complets de bienvenue, brosse à dents, rasoir, shampooing, j'ai ce qu'il faut, mais un petit savon, tout petit, pour se laver les mains ! Et revoir la clim de la grande chambre, peut-être un simple nettoyage...

Brilliant homestay tucked away from the busy main street. The host Mr Raghavendra Poorma and his family were superb hosts. They provided me with a concise list of places to visit while I was in the area. And happy to engage in meaningful conversation about the changes in the area and what the future holds for tourism in Hampi. The Happy Hampi Cafe is a short walk from Abhi Homestay and serves excellent non-veg food. The breakfast they prepared was simple and delicious. The room was very spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed. I'll definitely stay with Mr Poorma when I visit Hampi direct and would consider booking directly with the hosts. PS. Abhi homestay is names after their son - Abhi. How sweet.

Overall it was a great experience. Clearly the hosts have given great thought to creating an unforgettable experience. So well done. No suggestions that I can think of.

The owners were friendly and helpful and the room was clean.

One of the reasons we specifically booked this place was for the kitchen: "The twin/double room's kitchen, which has an electric kettle, is available for cooking and storing food" quote from booking.com. There was no kitchen but there was a two ring burner on a plastic table downstairs outside with nowhere for storing food. The owner said this was a booking.com issue. That was irrelevant to us the info on the site is wrong and misleading.

The host is very helpful. The room and facilities on property are as described. The food prepared by the hostess is very good.

Location, with respect to sights in Hampi, is great. But the New Hampi area is a bit under-developed. During our stay, the whole area lost electric power for many hours each day, which was a nuisance.

It is a very beautiful, clean room at a good location to visit Hampi per bicycle (200 Rp a day, but the bicycle you need anyway to visit the scattered tempels and ruins). The owner is very hospitable.

Kadirampura is a more agricultural village with limited provisions for international tourists. There is one international orientated restaurant, which is enough most of the time.

Chose this because reviews suggested warm and friendly family. Only the owner, no family Owner was abrupt and seemed put out by our attendance. No breakfast or evening meal available. Cold shower. He took our phone and said that we should say we didn't arrive for the booking

Very well kept room. A bit far from Hampi sites, but they are so spread out you are going to need a scooter or driver anyway. Host is very gracious and helped me find a scooter. Room is clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Nearby temple is a bit loud in the morning, but definitely not an issue.

The host Raghavendra was extremely helpful throughout. I was greeted upon arrival and the room was comfortable and clean. Raghavendra provided detailed information on sites to visit and arranged transport for me. The homestay is situated about 2 kms from the main temples abd there are shops and restaurants within walking distance.

The bed was a bit hard for my liking.

Exceptionally good value homestay with a generous and helpful host. Nice taste of surrounding local life especially with the ongoing banana throwing festival that was happening at the time.

Cleanliness, Service and very well mannered and caring family members. The Owner Raghu is always just one phone call away. Only home made food is served and it is made to order. Therefore it is always fresh and the taste is comparable to none. If you are not very particular about the swimming pool, huge reception etc and wish to enjoy the trip then the property, don't look for other options. Best Place.

This is located just 3 kms from main Hampi temple area and it is in the village called kadirampura but believe me it’s worth and you can take share auto to main Hampi temples for just 10 rupees per person or buses runs from here to main town of Hampi. So what’s great about the place: 1)Good,Comfortable,Clean and Spacious Rooms unlike in main Hampi town where rooms are small. 2)24/7 AC and Hot water 3)Very Warm and helpful host, Raghavendra not only help us with check in but also with places to eat around and he always gave us good 2 days itinerary for Hampi 4)Good Cafes near by 5)Quite and Peace Area Overall I enjoyed my stay in Abhi Homestay

Our host was incredibly helpful in organizing day tours of the local ruins at very fair prices and essentially took care of all of our trip planning for us. The homestay was located close to restaurants and the ruins of South Hampi. When our departure travel plans were cancelled last minute, our host was quick to help us find alternative arrangements. He was the highlight of our stay!

The beds are very firm and the bathroom/wet room had an odor. However, everything was very clean!

I had a great experience at Abi's homestay. The room was clean and spacious and the location good. Raghavendra went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed for my stay. He arranged a bathroom for me to use to freshen up free of charge before check-in. He provided great information about the town and helped me create my itinerary for my stay in Hampi. He also provided me with numerous rides to town and bus stop on his scooter, also free of charge. He really made my stay in Hampi a great experience. I definitely would recommend this place as it is great value for money.

One of the best homestays I have been to. Raghavendra and Sridevi personify 'Athiti Devo bhava' because they take care of the guests and don't treat them just as customers. He will guide you with a good itinerary for the day. Sridevi prepares tasty food and serves it with love. Prices are extremely reasonable and rooms are clean and well maintained. I was a Little apprehensive as some reviews mentioned some bad smell in the house. This is a village and there is a lot of cattle around, however there is no smell in the house and the rooms are kept spic and span.

The room was very comfortable and clean, and the location was perfect for us. Very helpful owner who kept in touch with us regularly.

The bathroom is perhaps basic for some people's taste, but was perfectly clean and had everything you need, including hot water.

Great stay! Hampi is amazing! Very friendly host, clean room, good wifi, nice room lighting, comfy bed, plenty of storage space for luggage/clothes.

Slightly out of hampi town but will need transport to get to all of the temples anyway. The amazing host gave us maps and tour information free of charge, as well as the contact number to hire out a moped for my partner and I to get around. This was the best way of transport in my opinion (no haggling) and cheapest option. The homestay is on the pricey side compared to some but the host made it well worth the stay. Would definitely recommend.

Abhi is in all the details for make your stay perfect

The property is in a very good location, just outside the hustle of Hampi. Its serene and has ample parking space, and the property owner is really a boon to first time visitors. He provided us with an itinerary on where to visit and when.

Great place to stay in Hampi. Abhi was polite and always in touch. The room is very cozy and comfortable. There were everything you need. Especially we liked the big soft bed ☺️

We were very satisfied, we enjoyed our stay in Hampi a lot!!! The room was well maintained, very clean and nicely furnished. The owner, who was always approachable and helpful, deserves special mention. He also organises drivers if you wish. The building is a bit off the road, so there is no traffic noise. At the same time, you can get to all the big attractions very quickly from there. In the village there are food stalls and a shop for cloth, jewellery and much more if you want to take something back from Hampi. We definitely recommend it!

We loved our stay here. The breakfasts are so delicious and our hosts are so kind and helpful in every way :) we would definitely recommend staying here.

Everything was just perfect: we loved the room, clean and spacious, the bed was the biggest I've ever seen, the balcony outside was nice to sit in the evening, the place is safe and well kept, and they have hot water too in the shower. The area is a bit far from Hampi (3km) but so quiet and silent that you won't regret staying here rather than in the centre of the village. The host was very kind and attentive with us, he sorted everything out for us, organized a pick up from Hospete for a very honest price, took us to a beautiful festival in a temple, offered us tea and coffee and his wife cooked delicious meals. Close by there is a nice bar and restaurant with very nice food too. He rented us very nice bicycles, in good conditions, for a good price and we explored the area with them thanks also to his suggestions. Even wifi was very good and it was quite important considering that the signal from the phone is not always good in this area. Definitely recommended.

I stayed here for 3 nights.19 20 and 21 January 2023.Raghav sir is a real gem of hampi.after reaching hampi me and my son had high fever.Raghav took me and my son to a local doctor.and due to fever me and my son can't eat anything.But Raghav sir and his wife gave us GANJI a local drink.He is really genuine person.This Gentleman in Hampi really helped us in everything like medication food travelling..Thank you for your help which made my Hampi tour memorable...

Excellent homestay. The building is modest, but rooms are neat and with all facilities like AC, TV etc at a very very reasonable price. The hightlight however is the Host Mr Raghavendra. I was travelling solo so Raghavendra made every effort to make me comfortable and his service was exceptionally good. Equally good is his wife Sridevi's cooking - so if you want simple yet tasty south indian home cooked meal served with a lot of love and care - dont miss dinner in the homestay. Overall the host and his family is extremely welcoming and provide great service. Highly recommended.

The property owners Raghavendra & his wife are a wonderful host by nature as well by deeds taking care of the guest in every possible way. They also advise regarding local travel & where to eat when on the move. The food they served, breakfast & dinner though simple was homely & delicious. Though the location & facilities at the home stay were average but our stay was comfortable. We stayed for 3 days. We recommend other guests to try their hospitality.

The approach & location to the property is average so also the facilities. They need to install mirrors, Cupboard & Tepoys in all the rooms also need to instal wash basin with mirrors in all bathrooms. Cleanliness & upkeepment is Ok.

Everything is good such as location, room views, facilities, food, wifi, toiletories and even a view from terrace is calm, its a very peaceful place. Owner provided all facilities such as WiFi, packaged drinking water, time to time tea, coffee and awesome South Indian breakfast each morning. All the major places and monument sites are very nearby range of 5 kms radius. You will get public transport too very easily from this place. There is medical shop and hampi traditional bazar store nearby around 100mtrs. Earlier we thought we only just book the Abhi homestay and will take meals from outside, but since we were tired due to long journey we decided to try out food offered by owner and it turned to be so delicious that we continued to have homemade food prepared by Raghavendra's family until our checkout day. I would highly recommend Abhi homeystay if you are planning to visit Hampi.. owner is very humble and will help you out as much as he can, right from arranging Guide or plan your visits in Hampi or nearby places. If you ask owner can provide you upgrade to your room as well(if available). I will always appreciate Raghu as his intentions are not only earning money but to serve the guests in best way. He has served many foreigners as well in this homestay. Thanks

Loved everything about the homestay. Best budget stay in Hampi. Owner was the most helpful in creating detailed itinerary. He went out of his way to make us feel at home. He even drove us on his bike when we wanted to go to a nearby place. He really cares about the guests. His wife prepared authentic Kannada cuisine which was finger licking good. The Upma and thali we had there were very delicious. The room had all amenities with TV and super fast Wi-Fi connection.
