Our hosts were such a wonderful family, and made us so incredibly welcome and comfortable
Having to leave once our stay was over 🥲

Boya and Lisa were kind, generous and welcoming. We loved learning about Taroko culture and enjoying their delicious breakfast. The house is in a beautiful location, surrounded by so much greenery, a short drive from so many beautiful spots.
Lisa, Boya and their son where great loving and engaging hosts. They pick us up and dropped us off at the raiway station. Boya gave us an evening tour of the nearby Taroko Village where he explained some history and interesting facts sbout the Taroko people - very interesting. Lisa got us to make bean braclets which was great fun. Boya also showed us around his coffee and fruit trees.

The host Lisa and Boya are the warmest hosts people I had met in this 21 days around Taiwan trip. They picked us up from the train station and provided the basic in and out from the property for us. They shared their love story and sing to us, share their culture and their life to us. They made the best breakfast and the best coffee. They are the best Air B&B host. I will recommend this Home stay for everyone.
I don't have anything I didn't like. The location is not very close to the public bus round. But the host provided us the pick up and sent out which is more better than anything the inconvenient of the location.
This is my second time staying with Boya and Lisa, and my husband’s third time, and by no means our last. Boys and Lisa make us feel like family every time we visit and it’s truly the perfect get away.
Lisa and Boya were one of the nicest hosts and people we’ve met on our trip. They gave us an extra tour of the area and prepared an amazing breakfast.
Amazing hospitality, super friendly hosts, spacious, great breakfast
Train line is next to the accomodation

The staff was the most amazing staff I had . Friendly and loving their guests - felt like family and so heart warming . Selfmade Bread and Jam. Great communication- welcoming and warm hearted ! Would stay much longer next time and even consider a proper holiday there ! ❤️

Great hospitality with authentic taroko family. Homemade breakfast with fresh fruit and coffee from the farm and garden. delicious ! Best b&b in taroko!
The nicest owners who will provide you with every little thing you can possible need to make sure you will have the most pleasant stay. Amazing coffee! Also - even though the Taroko Gorge is mostly closed, it is still very much worth it to visit! The visitors centre + Dekalun trail are opened and beautiful, and the nearby town is small but lovely.
Lovely gardens and orchards, with mountain views. Very kind hosts who explained Taroko culture in excellent English. Generous breakfast with delicious coffee.
We loved the warm personal welcome.
Lisa and Boya are one of a kind hosts. Truly some of the nicest people I have ever met and very generous. Boya showed us around the local village, highlighting the Taroko culture and how it has changed and evolved up to the present day. Lisa was the best hostess and managed everything for us making our stay truly fantastic.
Such friendly owners with an incredible beautiful garden
Great garden, nice beds, awesome breakfast but Most important: Lisa and Boya are one of the friendliest and most generous hosts we have met. They took amazing care of us and particularly of our children. Also they taught us about aboriginal culture and performed a self composed song. You guys are amazing!
Nvt.
This b&b is the best place we stayed in Taiwan. The family room is specious, the garden and the view is wonderful and it’s just minutes drive from Taroko gorge. But the best thing is the wonderful hosts. Lisa and Boya are so kind and a wonderful hosts. It was a pleasure to stay in their house. We recommend it very much!
As all guests we prepared our bracelet. It really brought us luck toll today. We took the right decision to change travel plans and escaped the taifun and flooding. It seems as long as we are wearing the bracelet we are safe and happy. Thanks Lisa, Boyan your son and your daughter in law. — you were very kind hosts. And the other guests were very kind too.
The room is very clean and has sufficient storage space. The beds are comfortable. The shower has great pressure. The provided breakfast is excellent with many home grown ingredients. What really stands out is the host family's hospitality. They are very warm and accommodating. They picked us up from the train station, drove us to dinner and back, and provided a free evening tour with in depth information on the Taroko tribe. There is also a free bracelet making session using the home grown Chinese barley beads.
Really nothing at all The lodge is located close to the rail line. So you will hear trains passing by. Bring earplugs if you are a sensitive sleeper.

The location is stunning, very close to Taroko Gorge (only 10 minutes drive from the visitor centre). Our room was spacious and had nice amenities. But most of all, our hosts Lisa and her husband were very kind, sweet and attentive. Boya (spelling?!) took us on a short night drive to give us some historical information about his aboriginal background and Lisa spent time with us doing some small arts and crafts and telling us about her family. Their son also cooked us a lovely breakfast. Overall, a wonderful stay and we will be back when more of the trails in the National Park are open.
The bed is plenty big enough but the duvet iis a bit small for two people. We have had this "problem" a few times in Taiwan where we are fighting for the covers in the night!
Homely stay Very friendly genuine owner happy to share about their culture and spend time with us to make local art bracelets and take us to local village Confortable room Great breakfast and very good coffee
The host hospitality exceeded my expectation. They were incredible kind and enthusiastic! Their artful breakfast and their home-grown coffee were yummy. My kids also had a great time learning how to make bracelets using pretty local seeds.
Lisa and Boya are exceptional hosts— I felt very welcome and enjoyed their tour, Boya ‘s piano playing, and making a friendship bracelet. Boya was very kind to pick me up from the train station and to bring me back there. The breakfast was exceptional and the room was very clean and comfortable. I slept like a log!
Super friendly hosts Lisa and Boya . Property is located at picturesque coffee farm with beautiful mountain views. Very species and clean
Fantastic hosts, great recommendations. Very interesting to learn about Taroko people. A unique and fantastic travel experience with Boya and Lisa

Stunning location and spotlessly clean.

Dear Lisa and Boya, We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for hosting us at your beautiful bed and breakfast farm. Our stay at Taroko Coffee Farm was truly memorable, and it’s all thanks to your warm hospitality and the wonderful environment you have created. The farm is absolutely stunning, offering plenty of space to relax and unwind. We appreciated the clean and safe surroundings, which made it perfect for our family, especially for the children. The main meeting room was a lovely space for us to come together, and we thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to play on the piano. Thank you for sharing the rich history and culture of the aboriginal Taroko tribe with us—it was both fascinating and meaningful. The farm's convenient location, close to both the city center and the beach, made exploring the area very easy and enjoyable. Your personal touch truly stood out. From preparing delicious breakfasts and coffee to taking the time to pick us up and drop us off at the train station, you went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and special. We felt incredibly welcomed and cared for throughout our visit. We wholeheartedly recommend Taroko Coffee Farm to anyone looking for a peaceful and family-friendly getaway. Once again, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and hospitality. We hope to visit again in the future! Warm regards, Jan and Misha
Very kind hosts , really loved the interest they took in explaining the local culture and history . From the time of reservation till check out Lisa really stayed in touch and was very helpful.
Hosts were wonderful and the breakfasts were excellent. Room was large and comfortable.
The beautiful setting, the hospitality, proximity to Taroko Gorge.
Everything - the location, the hosts, the facilities and the service. Boya and Lisa are naturally hospitable hosts and their knowledge of the area makes them a great source of information. They looked after me really well and made my stay a very pleasant one. 5/5
Everything was perfect
Lisa and Boya won my heart in a second. Lisa already contacted me before and were so patient with all my questions. As I had no car, they picked me up at the train station and also organized a driver for my next station. I enjoyed hanging around with them, listening to their love story and enjoyed the quietness of the property. Every morning I took a walk on the beach. Their breakfast is lovely and made with so much love for detail. Taroko is super near, you can walk 1km to bus station that brings you to the entrance of Taroko. One day Boya drove me, I made clear it is not necessary but he just said „I am here and have time“ - he is originally from Taroko tribe and knows the history very well. Come here and allow yourself to seek in their kindness and peace - and give it back equally.
Best place we stayed at in 6 weeks in Taiwan! :) Lisa and Boya are the most wonderful hosts and we felt at home right away. Delicious breakfast and coffee, amazing details like cultural tour and music nights, so close to stunning Taroko Gorge and even pick up service from the train station Xincheng - couldn't be better. Thank you SO MUCH!
Expectional. Had a great experience. Had some nice talks about history of the place and their family, had a little concert with the songs on Chinese. Made great hand bracelets. Low price and great location. They also provided help for us to find the right place in Taroko to start our hiking. Would definitely return (with gifts haha)
nothing
The B&B is in the perfect location. It’s surrounded by 700 coffee trees and lush green mountains. There are flowers and all sorts of plants growing in the garden, and plenty of seating to enjoy the tranquility. The rooms are spacious and there is a great communal area where you are served homemade coffee and also get to meet other guests.
Nothing at all! This stay was perfect.
Lisa and Boya are the most amazing hosts. They helped me with everything from my hiking petmits to my transportation. The garden was beautiful. The breakfasts were delicious, I felt truly at home.
Nothing
The kindness and hospitality from the hosts. Breakfast was made with love. This place is like feeling at home. Lisa and Boya offer some entertainment at night, my kids loved doing some bracelets!
The location is nearby the Taroko Gorge. Lisa and Boya are very warm and kind hosts together with his son. Lots of vegetation and fruits to educate us. Room is spacious for 3-4 people. we have two Queen beds in our room and a shower area. Breakfast was homemade pancake and jams. We would love to come back again in the ner future. Also we would recommend this B&B to those who are looking to visit Taroko Gorge.
I loved everything about this place and Lisa her husband and son. I would recommend it a 1000 times over

Super host! They were so kind
We loved the spacious room. The garden outside was so relaxing and having the mountains as our backdrop was truly inspiring. The accomodation was close to Taroko Gorge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hosts shared the indigenous culture and my kids still wear the bead bracelet they made here.
I like its tranquility and the great hospitality of host Lisa. It feels like home and Lisa’s breakfast & coffee was delicious! Will stay here again when we revisit Hualien.
I don’t think there are enough words to describe our experience at George Coffee Homestay. It’s a beautiful location in the heart of Taroko, perfect if you want to go visit the national park. The hosts are just the most welcoming and warmest people I’ve ever met. They make you feel like home right away and truly go the extra mile to make sure you having a great time by recommending places to eat, trails, and things to visit. They were so kind and though this was not part of their responsibility, they’ve taken time to introduce us to the town, culture of Taroko people, history, traditions and a little bit of their beautiful and unique family story. We finished the night by making our own lucky bracelets which I personally loved and the highlight of the night was them playing a song that Boya wrote to Lisa about their love story. The room is super nice and big, cozy and very clean. The breakfast was delicious every morning and the best part if of course drinking their own coffee. If you’re looking for a place in Taroko, you don’t want to miss out on George Homestay! :)
Nothing really.
Charming family owners. Personal B&B experience where they take an interest in you and want to visit/chat with you. They had the kids do a crafts activity in the evening. Took a morning run to Makbo beach nearby which was glorious.
The hosts are outstanding! And the location is perfect for visiting Taroko Gorge—much better than Hualien! Xincheng Station is much closer.
Dark bathrooms—need more light!!
If you are visiting Taroko, you really must stay here! Lisa and Boya are two of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Once we arrived, Boya gave us a list of great local places for dinner, then he gave us a night tour of the nearby Taroko Indigenous village where he grew up and told us about Taroko culture and history. Lisa showed us how to make bracelets from local seeds then they played music and sang songs that Boya wrote about their love story. Breakfast was wonderful both days, and they served us amazing coffee that they grew on their farm! They also helped us get permits for Zhuilu old trail, which you have to do over a month in advance. The location of the guesthouse is very close to the national park.
Nothing
Great location, large room, lovingly prepared breakfast and coffee and most of all the fantastic hosts Lisa and Boya. They really went the extra mile, recommend places to eat and hikes, introduce us to their culture and made the whole stay amazing.
It is close to the railway, so occasionally you hear a train, but it didn’t bother us much.
This is the best place we've stayed on our backpacking trip - no doubt. Boya and Lisa are so kind and hospitable. Boya collected us from the train station and helped us with transport every single day, as we didn't have a car or scooter. He let us use some bikes on his property (very old and rusty - only useable for short leisure rides around the farms). Their coffee and breakfast are wonderful, we were spoiled. The rooms are very comfy and clean, and the property is beautiful to walk around, sit down and meditate/write/draw. The best part was the hosts sharing their lives with us. The culture, craft, music and stories were beautiful to hear about and participate in. Do yourselves a favour and book this experience :)
Big, welcoming.
Nothing nearby need owner to drive us if want to go anywhere as roads are not that convenient to walk with young kids.
The evening guided tour on the local Taroko history was very interesting and we really enjoyed making our own bracelets and the impromptu live music by our hosts!
Friendliness and hospitality. The property itself. So relaxing
Nothing
Absolutely loved the family that ran the farm. It was our best and most restorative stay of the week. Beautiful views and nothing was too much trouble for Boya and Lisa.
Nothing!
Breakfast was very good. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They tried their best to make our stay very comfortable.
Lisa and Boya are the nicest people I have ever met in a home stay. Because the hotel is a bit out of town, Boya brings his guests to a restaurant and picks them up again after dinner. I was there with my (adult) daughter and there were 2 other couples. The first night, Boya took all of us for a small trip to explain the taroko people and their culture. After that, Lisa organised a little DIY bracelet making, all free of charge. If you want to go to the Taroko Gorge or Qingshui cliffs, then the location is great, and much closer than Hualien City.
Lisa and Boya were fantastic host. They were so helpful and kind. They gave us great tips and made our stay in Taroko a memorable one. Thanks a lot and we will be back.
Nothing.
Best homestay ! Lisa and Boya are the greatest hosts, incredibly friendly and helpful people. The rooms are good value. There is a very nice garden. breakfast was very tasty and really made with love.
Nothing
Lisa and Boya were absolutely wonderful hosts and I feel very grateful to have met them. They told us a lot about Taroko’s history and culture. Lisa also recommended an amazing local restaurant - the best food I ate in Taiwan. Thank you so much for everything! The accommodation is perfect and the AC is very good.
The hosts are truly wonderful. Thank you Lisa and Boya! You made our stay fantastic!
Wonderful hosts!!! Got upgraded to a bigger room. Great breakfast along with fresh local coffee!
None!!!
Friendly and helpful local hosts. Very nice breakfast.
Quiet, peaceful environment of a coffee farm and of course, having good coffee to drink. Comfortable room with all necessary facilities. Hosts are welcoming and informative. This is a great place to escape and a good base for the area.
One of the best places I've stayed all over the world. Lisa and her husband were amazing guests and made me feel right at home. They shared their culture and their love story with us ❤️
boutique
Amazing hosts that made us great tasty breakfasts and one evening gave us a tour of the village and explained the aboriginal origins and instructed us to make some handicraft bracelet + prese t some love song with piano for us. Amazing hospitality! They speak some English.
Simple interior
Great family place. Owners are very client-oriented, will make great efforts to answer any query. Great surrounding grounds - we spent a nice morning in the garden and orchard. Comfy room (we had one with partial tatami floor which our toddler greatly enjoyed).
Best breakfast I ever ate overthere: tasty, made with local, fresh, home-grow organic materials. Lisa made it individually for each person with love and caring. Definitely in the level of healthy high class restraunt. First time I tasted the home made mulberry jam, it was so good I never knew jam could be so tasty, fresh and without any additives, or artificial flavors. The water was so clean and even tasted a little sweet. Home made coffee and the coffee plant was very impressive. For any plant lover, place with a lot of fruit plants and flowers is like water to the thirsty person. Location was good: very close to the train and bus station. We got the car service from the host every time we go out to the scenic place. Boya is a well educated historic teacher, he not only provided tour plan /suggestions but also Taroko culture background, and their love story! It really exceeded our expectation. For anyone first time travel to Taroko, this is the perfect place to stay and start.
It would be better if stayed a little longer there to discover and relaxing.
Lisa and Boya provide a comfortable and personable experience that goes above and beyond any expectations. Our group traveled by large tour bus which doesn’t fit on their small roads but they picked us up at the main road and shuttled our luggage with ease. They shared their experiences as Han and Toroko and we learned about their community’s history. Boya and Lisa made homemade breakfasts that were filled with love and care and we loved their coffee so much we bought bags to gift to family at home. I truly cannot wait visit again.
Nothing at all
wonderfully warm and welcoming couple
Boya and Lisa were warm and accommodating - they made our stay so enjoyable that we've already planned a second trip! They shared so much about their culture and we thoroughly enjoyed listening to their stories. They even performed for us on the last night! Thank you Boya and Lisa for your kindness :)
