Gaodiyuan Tea B&B 高帝園茶業民宿

Absolutely fantastic experience! The owner, Lin, went above and beyond to make our experience memorable and perfect. We were pleasantly surprised by some phenomenal (albeit challenging) hikes within walking distance of the hotel. Thank you Lin!

for us, this accommodation in lovely ruili village was a true hidden gem and, if we could, we'd give them a 20/10. we have stayed at numerous accommodations all around the world, many of them very good. but nowhere have we felt more comfortable and welcomed than at gaodiyuan tea b&b. the room, restaurant and common areas were all spotless, well appointed and tastefully decorated. a great breakfst was served every morning. but, more than the accommodation and the facilities, it was the people that operated the place. from the owners to the staff, they all truly cared. right from the moment we landed, they all went above and beyond what one would expect of a great holiday stay. they surprised us with plates of fresh cut fruit at different times of the day. when we missed the bus to an ecological park 7 kms away, the owner drove us there himself and refused to accept payment. while we were there, the rains came down suddenly and very heavily. the owners kept in constant touch with us throughout and reassured us that if the bus didn't show up, to let them know and they would pick us up. they always enquired about our comfort and food needs, even inviting us to have dinner with them once whereas the b&b did not serve dinner to its guests. and when we departed, we were plied with little gifts and food for our journey to taipei. it was like they were seeing off two of their own family. we would absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone going up into the lovely taiwan mountains

there was nothing not to like. everything we experienced not only met all of our expectations, but vastly exceeded them.

4/12當天超過10點後 電視可打開有畫面 但使用遙控器無反應，打電話到總機 #9也都沒人接聽 當天工作人員說有問題可以撥打電話🥲 客房內也沒有遙控器使用說明（如故障的時候）

覺得好像可以搭配一下晚餐也不錯 畢竟附近沒什麼吃的 附近的餐廳不是很ok 但是吃飯的地方需要走樓梯 如果有帶長輩去 有些不方便

房間舒適乾淨，老闆及員工都十分親切。早餐是自助吧，選擇性多且十分好吃！

從奮起湖方向開車過去，路多轉彎且路上還有一些落石，會車時開得有點緊張。

The property is lovely and super clean with amazing views of the mountains and tea farms. Ms. Lin and the staff of Gaodiyuan Tea B&B are so helpful and friendly.

The location was amazing, directly in the mountains. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The breakfast was delicious and had a good mix of western and asian cuisine with a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Exceptional stay, probably one of my favourite places I’ve stayed anywhere in the world. Details are very thoughtfully considered and there is a high attention to cleanliness and health. The provided breakfast is excellent- very local with many choices and with delicious fruit. The staff went above and beyond helping me to find dinner, checking in about my stay, driving me to the bus stop, etc. A truly outstanding property well worth a visit. There are numerous hiking trails and small shops in the village. A great place to spend a few days. The views everywhere are great. If you’re a fan of tea, this is also a good place to experience some high quality locally grown and picked tea. If you’re on a flexible schedule, consider coming on a weekday when it’s much less busy- however, there are also fewer transportation options on weekdays and some shops may be closed.

It can be a little tricky to reach the property so don’t leave it too last minute to make plans. I had some small communication challenges with the host before arrival (not replying to messages), but as soon as I arrived the warmth and friendliness more than made up for any challenges. Foreign guests should note that staff only speak Chinese; however, of course everyone can use translation apps easily.

Staff is very helpful, go out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible. Attended to all our questions and requests no matter how small. Room is big. Very clean. Have everything you need. Can't praise them enough.

Super friendly staff that went over and above to make sure we were happy and comfortable. We had a great time tea tasting, very informative. Very good breakfast with a variety of food.

It’s quite hard to reach cuz of the winding roads. Try to get there early before the sunsets. There’s no food onsite for dinner so preorder your food or bring food with you

The hosts were very polite and helpful. We did not speak Chinese, but they helped with arranging restaurants and giving tips.

We liked everything regarding the guesthouse. Something to keep in mind that if you plan to visit Alishan forest, it takes about 1.5 hours of driving each way.

Very clean & modern and the elevator is a huge plus! Comfortable beds, pillows and linen that are of above-average quality. Most hotel-like Minsu I’ve come across. Ms Lee was a most welcoming & enthusiastic host! The helpers are also very kind to heat up our food and make us extra fruit when we were having a take-out dinner at the end of a long day of trekking. Felt very well taken care of during our 3 nights stay!

the B&B is located in a beautiful Tea plantation area, Meishan. The whole building looks brand new. The host are all nice, helpful and informative. They also conduct Chinese tea preparation session for the guests in the evening. Our room is spacious, stylish and comfortable. The Taiwanese style buffet breakfast is super delicious.

It’s REALLY clean. Every corner in the building is clean, even the window frames at the breakfast area. The owner was very friendly serving me different tea that they make and took me to see the traditional candy making process across the street.

I hope they can make it a little easier for foreigners to communicate with them before checking in. I tried to message them a few times but they responded at their convenience. I finally understood when I arrived because they also have a tea business to run. Communication would not be a problem once you are there.

Beds were super comfortable, lovely rooms and facilities. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and more than happy to spend time teaching us how to brew tea properly (which is distributed around the house and you can use as you wish!).

Nothing about the B&B itself, though dinner options are very limited without driving quite far away.

The entire family loved this B&B. The town is peaceful, the room is spacious, the beds are wonderful, lots of amenities, view is unbelievable, parking is easy, breakfast is fantastic, and the hosts are both lovely. We couldn’t ask for anything else. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

very friendly staff and owner: they tried to reach out to help. It is a new B&B hotel with some nice decoration. The room is spacious and clean. The breakfast is wonderful with many choices. Location wise is good to us because it is surrounded by many beautiful team plantations (or farms) even though it is a little bit far away from Alishan. Plus you can also enjoy their tea for free.

Lovely hotel. Beautiful area and the staff were super friendly. Rooms were modern and comfortable and breakfast was excellent.

Only minor thing I can think of was would be good to turn off external balcony lights after dark to see stars better. That’s how good the hotel was: that such a minor thing is the only improvement I can think of
