The property is spotlessly beautiful with a calming vibe and tasteful interiors. Surrounded by huge in-house plantation. Homestay owners are very humble and supportive, ensuring that the guests' needs are taken care of.

Strict time constraints around meal availability from in house kitchen.

The location is fabulous. A great view, very well maintained and decorated homestay. Very courteous owners.

Everything was perfect but they close breakfast at 10 am which caused us a bit of a stress as despite rushing back from the Periyar boat safari we could only reach the homestay by 9.45 am. I think that put some stress on the owners too.

Lip-smacking food, local specialties, gracious Host and lovely property. George and his parents are personally involved in running the home stay. Their warmth and hospitality shines through every moment and every corner of their property.

Everything was great. Nothing to dislike.

Superb Stay

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful homestay in Thekkady. The property is surrounded by lush greenery and their own tree plantation, making it a peaceful and refreshing place to stay. 🌿 The room was neat, clean, and well-maintained. The breakfast of our stay was the delicious and freshly prepared. The host was very responsive, friendly, and attentive. They took care of everything we needed and made sure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Overall, the peaceful surroundings, greenery, cleanliness, amazing breakfast, and warm hospitality made our stay really enjoyable.

George the host is a lovely human who is always happy to help. The place is beautiful, with lots to see and explore on the property and the food is great too. The safe are always happy to help and the rooms are beautiful and very clean and tidy

Le confort de la chambre, très spacieuse. L équipement que ce soit dans la chambre ou la salle de bain. La literie est très confortable. Les repas, que ce soit le petit déjeuner ou le dîner., copieux, fait maison et délicieux. La gentillesse de notre hôte.

Le positionne du homestay nécessite une voiture ou autre mode de transport car un peu éloigné de thekkady et kumily. Un ou deux panneaux indiquant le gîte serait bienvenu car pas simple de le trouver quand on ne connaît pas le coin.

Es preciosa. El cuarto amplio y luminoso. Los espacios comunes también son bellos, llenos de plantas y detalles.Reina el silencio y la calma, solo se escuchan los pájaros. La persona que trabajan son súper amables. La comida es deliciosa y pueden adaptarse a "no picante"

We loved our stay here. Everything from the comfort of the bed, the balcony and the size of the room, along with a gorgeous bath and a bath robe made for an enjoyable stay. The location is really easy to find. The breakfast and dinner cooked by the owner made it really comfortable and easy. My husband needed a hair cut and I a massage. George was always more than happy to help. Thankyou so much for sorting it for us and for our lovely stay. A great spot 😊

Only the size of the room is little small but it's ok

This was a lovely place to stay, one of our most favorite. The room was lovely and spacious with a balcony to enjoy and the bed very comfortable. Altho it was a homestay it felt like a hotel, but with a personal touch. George was very willing to help with any questions and his Mum a wonderful cook. Great Wifi too!

We received a very warm welcome by Mr.George Mathew who along with his family runs this home stay. His mother made us feel like home with her delicious breakfast and dinner. Mr. George was kind enough to help us with tickets and arrange for a cab for sight seeing. He also took us through a short trip around his home stay patiently explaining the beautiful flowers, veggies and fruits they grow in their beautiful 4 acre landscape. We had a wonderful time and felt relaxed spending time in their homestay. Will suggest this place to any person who plans to visit Thekkady.

Accueil très sympathique de notre hôte, George. Délicieux petit-déjeuner. Possibilité d'avoir une collation dans l'après-midi. Délicieux repas du soir préparé par la mère de George. Magnifique chambre avec piscine privative, très belle terrasse face à un paysage de rêve : palmiers, bananiers, montagnes... le paradis.

Tout était absolument parfait. Le seul bémol est que la route n'est pas très loin et que l'on entend parfois la circulation lorsque l'on se trouve sur la terrasse, mais c'est un détail tant le lieu est idyllique.

George and his team were incredibly friendly. The outside spaces of the property are so peaceful and the breakfasts were relaxing and enjoyable. The surrounding area makes this stay exceptionally good.

The place was really calm and serene. Very well maintained and managed property. They have a beautiful inhouse plantation. George gave us a tour which was very informative. He also helped us in booking other activities in the town. We had a great time.

Of our 5 hotel stays in India this was by far the best one. The rooms are very clean and have a great view. The dinner was very delicious. The location within multiple spice plantations was lovely. To the Periyar tiger reserve it is just a 10min TukTuk ride. The owner of the Homestay helped us every day to organize any activities we wanted to do and also organized the tuktuk/taxi drivers. They were all great and could speak very good English.

Coffee and Pepper Plantation is a great place to stay when visiting The Periyar Tiger Reserve. George is very helpful with booking safaris and boat trips and organising Tuk tuks to take us there. The dinners are good though the choice is limited. Breakfast is also good. It's in a good location, just off the main road, where it is easy to get a bus or tuk tuk into Kumily town.

Surely one of the absolute best places we’ve been so far on our three week Kerala-trip! It’s a family run business and George and his parents are such kind hosts. George gave us a tour around the property (gardens & plantation) and showed us all the different plants, herbs, fruits and spices they are growing. He will also provide you with anything you need sightseeing-wise in and around the area if you ask for it. The rooms and the house are incredibly well maintained, everything is cared for with meticulous attention for detail. Super clean, super well thought-through and beautifully designed. It is by far the most beautiful place we’ve stayed at and puts many European hotels to shame. There’s plenty of restaurants in town - however we would urge you to not skip their home cooked dinner which is absolutely delicious and served in the new dining hall downstairs. Truly, a memorable stay we highly recommend. Would definitely come again!

Wer Ruhe und Natur sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir wurden wunderbar empfangen und direkt mit einer Tour durch den eigenen Gewürzgarten sowie einem Wegweiser durch die Teeplantagen überrascht. Die Verpflegung war ein echtes Highlight: Das hausgemachte Abendessen war köstlich und das Frühstück eine kreative, willkommene Abwechslung zum Standard. Ein ruhiger Ort inmitten eines grünen Paradieses. Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen!

Die Freundlichkeit und das Engagement der Besitzer sowie die Zimmer sind herausragend. Auf der eigenen Terrasse zu sitzen und in tropische Landschaft zu blicken ist wunderbar. Sehr unterstützenswert ist das Engagement die lokale Kultur in einem wunderschönen Umfeld für Gäste erlebbar zu machen.

Im Verhältnis sind die Preise recht hoch. Für den selben Preis habe ich in einem Hotel mit großem Garten und einzigartigem Pool übernachtet.

George and all the family and staff made our stay really special, helped us book trips and events and kept us well fed with lovely food. Everywhere was clean, great shower and a comfy bed.

The homestay is in a quiet location surrounded by lush vegetation. The king room was spacious and very comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the onsite restaurant both of which were excellent.

The breakfast was good, but it was very slow coming.

We asked for the breakfast we wanted the night before, but it was not served the next day until the staff were prompted.

Very peaceful, stylishly decorated with easy access to spice plantations and a good circular walk directly from the property. George was very helpful organising everything for us and the spice tour was very informative and interesting. We also bought their own produced coffee beans which we had enjoyed each morning

Die Unterkunft ist luxuriös, wunderschön mit geschmackvoller Einrichtung und tollem Bad. Das Abendessen war sehr gut, Frühstück ebenfalls. Der Gastgeber ist sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns gute Tipps für Unternehmungen gegeben. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, die Gegend bietet viele Möglichkeiten.

In den neueren Zimmern oben hört man die Straße relativ laut.

This is the most beautiful and most special place I have ever stayed in my entire life. I received a huge room with a magical balcony overlooking a spice grove and a heated private pool. A young and charming man manages the place with kindness, patience, and willingness to help with any request. His mother cooks deliciously! This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, highly recommended to be here — it's hard to leave!

One of the most beautiful places we have been to in india. Very close to the city but so quiet, inside a plantation so it is surrounded by green.

Scrupulously tidy property nestled within plantations. Wonderful bird song Private, large and comfortable room. A home stay as per certificate but functionally a boutique hotel. Not a lot to complain about . The highway is a few hundred m away - cars / trucks can harshen the otherwise tranquil experience.

We loved our stay at Coffee & Peeper Plantation. The room was lovely with a great view. We enjoyed the walk around the garden and the pride the hosts take in the property. The home cooked food was delicious and brownie and ice cream a bonus.

Een bijzonder mooie homestay, moderne smaakvolle bouw en inrichting. Volledig in balans in een prachtige natuur. Diner en ontbijt was super goed verzorgd.

Het is een erg mooi verblijfje in het groen. We hadden een erg ruime slaapkamer met groot balkon! Het eten was steeds lekker, opties waren wel eerder beperkt. Met vragen konden we steeds bij George terecht, hij zorgde ervoor dat alles steeds zeer snel geregeld werd (zo vroegen wij op een avond voor vervoer naar Kochi de volgende ochtend, even later liet hij weten dat dit geregeld was).

De ruimte om te eten is niet erg gezellig, het geeft wat een ´reftergevoel´ zeker doordat er een open keuken is. In het gebouw zelf is er een gezellig binnenplaatsje, het zou veel gezelliger zijn om daar eten te voorzien. Hoewel George steeds voor je klaar staat wanneer je een vraag hebt, misten we in vergelijking met andere verblijfjes toch wat het warme ontvangst/ de grote gastvrijheid. Wij ervaarden het op andere plaatsen steeds als heel aangenaam wanneer de gastheer/vrouw echt interesse toont, komt checken hoe het met je gaat, advies komt geven die aansluit bij je interesses,... dat zou in deze homestay nog wat meer mogen. Op wandelafstand van het verblijf vind je niet zoveel, je hebt vervoer nodig als je naar het stadje wilt (ongeveer 15 min met de tuk tuk, voor 200 roepies). Een tuk tuk wordt wel heel erg snel geregeld door het verblijfje!
