Stayed here a week and had the best time. Ganidu and Kamani are such helpful and friendly hosts. If you’re looking for something peaceful but close to everything, I highly recommend.

The wifi was very good. The room was huge and quite comfortable. The place is very silent and cosy. They have good scooters to rent. The kitchen is not too big, but have a good atmosphere.

I wish they had more power sockets. I can't say the performance for the price is perfect. But it's ok. The location is a little bit far from the city center. Kitchen utensils can be improved. There was no water in kitchen and the markets are a little bit far.

Amazing location close enough to the center by walking distance but still far enough to be in a quiet and local area. Super calm neighborhood and really amazing host that will make you feel like you're at home. Room is clean and bed is comfy, comes with all facilities needed, a well furnished kitchen as per as towels and clean bathroom. Lot's of space in the room and even two tables to work on, wifi is fast and reliable, had no problems to work from there for 5 months, video calls, online marketing... The place is really safe with inside parking with cameras, felt safe to leave our bike and surfboards ! But the best part is the owners, Kamani and Ganidu that are just the kindest and will for beyond expectations to make you enjoy your time here ! Can only recommend this place, will come again for sure !

We have spent many months over the year staying at Senarathna with Kamani and Ganidu, and we will remember this guesthouse forever. Firstly, the hosts are two incredibly generous, honest, and hardworking people. They will welcome you into their guesthouse with open arms. The property is safe and secure, with CCTV and an enclosed parking space. The room is fantastic, with a comfortable bed and a fully-equipped kitchen (fridge, kettle, cutlery, pots, pans, stovetop etc.). It does not get too hot, and the fans are more than enough to keep the room cool. Most importantly, the hosts understand that WiFi is very important for guests who are traveling and working like us, so they ensure that the data is always topped up. We had an incredible few months here, and will be back for sure! We will always have special memories of drinking tea with the hosts, sharing dinners, and living a comfortable and happy life here!!!

Great space ! Very good value for money

We spent almost two months at Ganidu and Kamani's guesthouse. There are so many amazing things about this guesthouse, it is hard to summarise it into one review. It is a bit outside of the main road with a peaceful view and nature around but still close to the beach and the city center (5min). The amount of birds which we saw from the top floor balcony was incredible! The room was perfectly cleaned every week. We were both working online (teaching with video call and working on website) and the wifi was perfect for that. The beds were great and the room was cool. We did not need AC, the fan was enough for us, however, you can Book an AC room if neeeded. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need (pan, pot, fridge, kettle, bowls...) and cleaned every day. We cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. Not to mention that you have a great open space to eat with a view. The kitchen and living room on the top floor is only shared with one other room. Everything is safe and secure at this guesthouse. You can park your scooter behind the gate and there are CCTV cameras to add to the security. Senerathna Guesthouse is a top quality guesthouse. But the owners (Kamani and Ganidu) made it feel like home. We have travelled through South East Asia for a year now, and we have never felt the comfortability, security, warmth, and kindness that we felt here. If you have the privilege of staying here, please treat this wonderful couple with the same respect and kindness that they give to you. They deserve it.
