La tranquilidad del sitio
Los enchufes i los baños, les falta revision
Staff very accomodating. Breakfast was nice. Place is clean.
Bonito jardín. Personal excepcional! Siempre atentos y dispuestos.
The beds and aircondition
The WiFi was horrible need to improve. And response time when texting with the property also need improvement
Large room. Good ac. Hot shower. Good breakfast. Nice lawn to chill out on and relax. Can easily rent scooter to get into town.
Ac broke one day but the hotel sorted it immediately, so even when things went wrong they were very good. Even noticed the hotel receptionist stayed in our room and watched the gentleman repair the ac felt like she was protecting our stuff. Which gave us confidence.
Location is good. Comfortable room.
The bathroom smelled like sewage. For two days, every time we left and came back to the room, there was a strong, unbearable smell of feces — it was impossible to stay there without feeling like throwing up. It was clear that the issue wasn’t the housekeeping, but something related to the plumbing. The breakfast was just okay.
Mily personal♥️ snidane super! Ochotny, vse fungovalo. Perfektni terasa na meditace a jogu. Prodluzovali jsme ubytovani nekolikrat✨
Personál moc milý a ochotný. Pokoje perfektně uklizené. Rádi se sem vratíme.
Clean and comfortable room, nice staff
Phone signal is weak, room was quite small, shared fridge was too small, designated space would be great cos other guests took up all the space
Pulita e personale simpatico
Zero servizi offerti, non erano presenti al check in ne ci hanno lasciato istruzioni per entrare
We had an amazing stay at Diwa Siargao Eco-House! The place is peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained. Every time we requested for room cleaning, the staff responded quickly and did a great job. The manager online was also very fast and helpful in answering all our questions and requests, which made our stay even smoother. There’s a security guard every night, and that really made us feel safe and comfortable while sleeping. They also offer free breakfast, and it’s really good! A great way to start the day before exploring the island. The location is perfect: near Malinao and right at the center of General Luna, where the life and energy of Siargao are. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, safe, and eco-friendly place in Siargao!
None.
Accomodating staffs and early delicious breakfast
Water interruption
I booked this property as a graduation gift for my brother, who stayed for a week and had a wonderful experience. He really enjoyed the peaceful, private setting. The house has its own garden, which made it perfect for relaxation. The breakfast food was really good with enough portions, though they could improve by offering more variety and choices. The overall atmosphere was just what he needed. He truly enjoyed his stay and definitely wants to visit again!
The property itself is beautiful and quiet for a nice wind down from the busy general Luna area. A pretty garden in the back to chill and sunbathe with nice kitchen facilities.
There weren’t any events going on like advertised on the Instagram (yoga etc), the photos did make it look a lot bigger than it was, our room was tucked away down a dark area so we didn’t get much light into the room and felt quite claustrophobic. Our door jammed one of the nights and we couldn’t get into our room. It was a very stressful experience as the security guard couldn’t speak English very well and didn’t have any data to call the owner to help us. We had medication locked inside the room too so we really needed to get in. After around 40 minutes he had to unscrew the door so we had to sleep with an unlocked door. They did sort the problem out very quickly the following day, and gave us a free airport transfer.
I really appreciated the breakfast
Great location, great staff and everything you need for a comfortable vacation.
Nice place with cute little rooms, clean and quiet, hot water, good wifi, a couple kilometers outside of General Luna so plan to either rent a motorbike or else you can just catch a ride from a rickshaw or tricycle out on the road into town.
No problems.
The staff were great!
The driveway needs to be leveled. Hard to ride a scooter on without falling
Good shower, tasty eggplant omelette , good WiFi, the bed was comfortable and most of the time the staff was amazing untill….
After check out. We wanted to pay for the laundry and gave a large bill and the girl said she didn't have any change and wanted to take the entire amount of the bill. We found an exact amount and there was only three pesos(!) missing and she did not agree to accept it (which is fine) and only after she realized that she was not behaving well did she go and bring us the change. A nice stay with a bitter ending
The rooms are clean and the location is quite good (even though it is not in the centre - but you can walk). The hotel area is very calm and with no noise. The rooms are also well decorated and have air conditioning and a fan in case of power cuts.
The reception only works from 9am to 5pm and since we were never at the hotel during those hours we could not get in contact with anyone. One of the nights (like 7pm) we needed something and called the “assistance number” and no one replied (we keep waiting….). Also, there was a water dispenser in the reception and it was empty for 2 days. It seems the hotel is quite “abandoned” in terms of staff. One other thing: the rooms are very small and space management (even with backpacks only) is very hard.
we stayed at Perfecto room which is good for 2pax. it was clean and cozy, room smells good too & very cold aircondition. clean water from their rain shower unit inside the toilet. all the staff were friendly. the room also has an emergency light with a fan. good breakfast too. the location is just few minutes from the center of general luna. its situated in a quiet area.
* if there is power interruption, they dont have a generator as back up. their water supply depends on electricity. so no electricity and water all at the same time. (though there is a bucket of water in the toilet) * when there is strong rain, the roofing gets really loud (they provided ear plugs- but this is just our preference that its uncomfy to wear while sleeping, and somehow can still hear it) * pls take note of the operating hours of their staff- they can attend to your needs from around 7:30am till 4 or 5pm. after that you’re on your own so better take note of your request before booking or while they’re still around the area.
The place was outside the city - so the night was as quiet as it can be - only noises was when it was rain the hotel have some cheep earplugs for those who need it :-)
It can be hard to take a shower the water pressure is very low at times And it can be hard to get in contact with the manager since all should go through her.
Nicely decorated, comfortable place. They provide tasty breakfast too. China was very helpful in coordinating our movement.
Room could be more equipped with necessities e.g water heater, clothes hanger, small fridge etc. Rooms are small too.
I had two big double beds for me alone, very comfortable. was a nice garden the Personal where very friendly. good advice for lone travelers.
the only one its just only for families. its not a description on booking.
Amazing place just outside the busy General Luna area and yet within 5min by scooter there - calm - perfect if you want some peace and quiet - we were able to rent a scooter on a daily basis and also have our laundry done here! A gym is right next to the place. All in all a perfect stay - clean and nice interior style.
It's in a quiet area. We were happy to be away from all the noise and smoke from the busier part of General Luna. The room is very nicely designed and the bed was comfortable. The motorcycle rental and laundry service were all very convenient.
The neighbors tin roof can get very loud when it rains. The access road can be a little tricky. It's minor and we easily bought from across the street but we would have liked to have shampoo and conditioner available.
The bed was comfortable and kind people.
Not worth the price you’re paying for this accommodation. It’s kinda expensive for asia. But the quality was not good, beside the bed. All windows could not close. Shower was terrible. Cold super hot and again the cycle. No middle way
First of all: Lovely manager who helped out anytime. Had really tasty breakfasts here. Only 4 rooms so it feels quite small, which is perfect. Beuatiful designed building. Would recommend.
Clean, quite, extremely nice stuff and value for money
You must have a bike or tuk tuk to get there
Lovely staff which was helpful and could always be approached in person or via WhatsApp. It was a clean house and room. A 5 minutes drive away from general Luna (GL), and therefore rather calm. Ideally you can drive a scooter, otherwise you need to call for any commute a cab, since restaurants and everything else are in GL.
I'm thankful for the fact that after transferring from another hotel that gave me such a terrible experience, Diwa was prompt and available, no questions asked. The staff were nice and welcomed me with open arms even in such a short notice. Traveling can be stressful, but it helps ease the noise when you can stay in not only a beautiful and peaceful spot but also very comfortable place like Diwa.
I almost have no complaints. The place gave me all the freedom I can experience in a hotel. The downside is the commute. Not a lot of trikes pass by so it takes bit of waiting.
The bed was comfy. The breakfast was small but tasty, the staff were very nice and helpful. They have a laundry service. The room was clean. The facilities are basic but nice.
I really value being able to rest well and wake up peacefully. And although it was comfortable during the night, the mornings were horrible. They have a carpenter workshop right in front of the hotel that starts working at 7am and don't stop with the chainsaw for hours till almost the sunset. I had the bad luck that the gardener also came when I was there and started cutting the grass at 6:30am with a line trimmer. So basically I couldn't sleep further than 7am any of the days that I stayed there. I think the rooms could be cheaper.
It was clean.
Water in dispenser at common kitchen taste bad. For the price of the room it was lacking a tv, or an electric kettle. But staff were helpful.
NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL
Our family came to Diwa after long travel and we were really looking forward to it. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!! The place was closed, we had to wait for someone half hour to welcome us and then she said that unfortunately we they can't host us due to an electricity shutdown that they had a day before and still the sir condition not working and they don't have other solution (like fan). We were shocked and had to find an ad-hoc alternative that ended to be double in the price! We were VERY disappointed from their approach. It seems that they couldn't care less... We've had the feeling that simply prefer to leave the place closed instead of having us due to low capacity.
very accomodating, friendly & clean. would recommend!
Delicious omelet for breakfast. Great staff always ready to help.
The water in the room smells like urine! This is unacceptable! The workers started banging on the roof with hammers at 7 am! The pillows are very uncomfortable! Not a lot of shade for breakfast. Sitting in the sun is very hot!
Nicely decorated rooms and bathrooms. Nice lush garden to have breakfast in every morning. Staff is very nice and welcoming. Quiet AC. They will arrange anything you need. A special thank you to Jay Anne who really brightens up the place with her kindness and smile.
Small details that didn’t bother our stay but might be worth mentioning: sheets felt polyester-y (like not soft cotton), pillows are of low quality (we had to ask to change but seems like they are almost all the same), more hangers on the clothes rack. But all in all a very nice stay.
The room is very small and every one walking outside can see inside the room. We woke up in 6am to very bad construction noises. We desaided to leave the place after one night and they didnt give us the money back.
The room, service, breakfast and the rate
Hard to get a public vehicles/tricycle late at night. Still best to stay if you have or renting a motorcycle.
Diwa was great. The location is in a quiet area but still just a few minutes ride to get to the main area with restaurants, etc. The rooms and facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff are fantastic! I also really liked having a fridge and kitchen in the common area. There are only 5 rooms- just the perfect size for the homestay.
I wish there were more hooks or places to hang clothes up for storage but also to dry, especially since you often have wet clothes or towels from going to the beach. Maybe a simple wooden clothes hanging rack and some hangers would work in the space. Particularly since it rains or is damp sometimes, so you can't hang stuff outside to dry.
Hotel was great, the staff were outstanding and super helpful with bookings and advice. Rooms were nice and cute with a good location. Vibe was great, a family feel.
It was just next to the first bnb we stayed at. Bed is comfortable.
The fabric conditioner they use in sheets and other linen is too strong that I couldn't sleep properly. No visible staff so wasn't able to tell them my departure, had to just leave the key somewhere at the dining.
super friendly and helpful staff - made us feel at home thank you so much !! breakfast is amazing - you need to try the mango coconut chia seeds pudding ! bedroom and bathroom clean and well decorated
The staff
In the morning is noisy, dog barking, roasters, local speaking loud, I couldn't sleep good and properly. Room small
We loved our stay! The room was cute, I appreciated the shower gel, hand soap and sanitizer in the room. The linen and towels were changed on request. The Diwa online magazine was a nice touch. The staff was really really nice and friendly. We rented a scooter for 4 days for 400 pesos per day. There was good hot water and reception wifi was good. We could also use the shared kitchen to make breakfast. On the first day we could even use the blender, but then they decided that it was not for guests to use :D You can also order breakfast on spot. There is a nice garden, but there could be a few lounge chairs. There is also a rooftop area which is not in use, but a few plants and sun loungers would make it beautiful.
You definitely need a scooter as the location is quite remote. The beach is close but getting there is not straightforward. We ended up going through someone’s backyard. During the night and early morning, there can be a lot of noise (dogs, roosters, people) and the windows are not really soundproof. It would be nice to know the housekeeping schedule - how often is linen and towels changed or if it’s only upon request.
Staff was very nice. Clean and very peaceful. Room is straight-forward... comfortable bed, pretty small work area and clean restroom. Overall, budget-wise, it's okay. if you're looking for a location in Siargao that's peaceful, consider this.
We had 4 wonderful days at Eco- House. Jean and Theresa gave us a warmly welcome. and do a great job. It's a quiet place a bit outside. Restaurants and bars are 5 min. with motorcycle away. Rooms have AC and hot water shower.
Just preparing breakfast took a bit long
the staff were nice. The restroom is clean - the beds are comfortable
The staff are so accomodating especially ate ji-an? Not sure if I spelled her name right.
Internet is slow especially inside the our room
Four night stay was comfortable. WIFI was ok and morning coffee great with beans, grinder French press. Linen service every 2 days with good bed and warm shower. We rented the DIWA scooter 400P a day and explored Gen Luna and Cloud 9. Many snobby foreigners to see. Rain 3 days if 4. Jay Anne is sweet and deserves a raise.
Would really recommend and will stay again. Fantastic staff and loved the shared kitchen.
Internet speed but that's something they can't help with unfortunately.
The ladies give you a warm welcome at arrival. Their accommodation is a bit out of town which makes it very relaxt. Rooms are big and clean, shower is warm. And they have a kitchen area that you can use. Internet is relatively stable for the Phillippines so that is a plus! You can work here. And they have a great cat called Louis who guards the territory. :)
I like how cleaned the place is and also it's price. The owner is so accommodating and kind.
Well the WiFi is not that stable and slow (globe data is much better). Our room was the cheapest room but I was expecting a cabinet but there wasn't any (I would recommend to add a hanging area just in case the guest wanted to hang their wet clothes)
the hotel is absolutely beautiful, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. beautiful kitchen for those who like to cook.
there are construction works every morning which where a big loud. the location is a bit far from the main area, but the staff assisted us in getting a motorbike, which solves that problem.
