Reviewed Sep 18, 2026The property is very spacious, modern and clean with scenic rural views. Extremely comfortable bed and great coffee machine. Good easy parking on the drive and quiet location, despite being near a school.
Whilst access was ok for us, the property is down two flights of stairs from the parking area and there is no handrail, which could be problematic for elderly or disabled visitors.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Ruim en zeer compleet appartement op een rustige locatie aan de rand van het dorpje Tramelan. Erg vriendelijke eigenaren die overal aan gedacht hebben. Het was fijn dat er een potje zelfgemaakte marmelade, een paar kuipjes boter, water en melk in de koelkast voor ons klaar stonden. Uitstekende prijs- kwaliteitverhouding!
Het matras lijkt wat doorgezakt en de dikke deken was wat te warm voor het snikhete weer.

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026Die Wohnung ist ruhig am Rande der Gemeinde gelegen. Der eigenen Gartensitzplatz war fantastisch mit wunderschönem Blick in die Weite. Beide Räume hatten Fenster bis zum Boden. Das Wohnzimmer ist grosszügig mit der Küchenzeile und es gibt ein Reduit um Sachen zu deponieren. Die Gastgeber, Julia und Orlando, sind sehr nett, sehr angenehm.
Evt wäre ein Insektenschutz sinnvoll. Wir waren in der heissen Zeit dort, mit offenen Fenstern Abends und in der Nacht und hatten daher viele Fliegen in der Wohnung. Aber das ist Kritik auf hohem Niveau. Es war wirklich alles topp.

Reviewed Jun 19, 2026Ruhig gelegen, sehr sauber, gute Ausstattung, grosszügiger Garten (waren nur eine Nacht dort sonst hätten wir davon profitiert), kein Schlafsofa sonder 2 richtige Betten, grosszügiges Studio (eher 1,5 Zimmer-Wohnung), gut ausgestattete Küche, wirklich top!

Reviewed Mar 13, 2026Wouah ! Superbe rapport qualité/prix. En plus, l'accueil de Julia. Pas besoin de sonner, elle nous attendait. L'appartement est très spacieux et confortable. Un petit-déjeuner non prévu mis à disposition. Il n'y avait plus que le pain à acheter et elle nous a donné trois possibilités. Nous allons y retourner et pouvons chaudement la recommander.

Ein paar Kleinigkeiten wurden auch schon bereit gestellt und man hat sich direkt willkommen gefühlt 🥰 Alles war sauber und bequem. Nach kurzer Zeit fühlte man sich schon wie zu Hause. Da haben wir viel schlechtere Ferienunterkünfte leider Kennenlernen müssen. Der eingezäunte Bereich ist super für Gäste mit Hund. Den Jahreswechsel haben wir als sehr ruhig empfunden; eine halbe Stunde ein paar Raketen und Batterien die abgefeuert wurden, danach und davor war nichts. Zentrale Lage wo man schnell in allen größeren Städten wie Basel, Bern, Zürich oder Genf hingefahren ist.

Reviewed Oct 11, 2025Man ist wie in einem Einfamilienhaus. Oberhalb ist einfach die Garage und da hört man manchmal Geräusche. Der Umschwung, der dazu gehört, ist phänomenal gross. Julia ist eine super engagierte und sympathische Gastgeberin. Hat man einen Zusatzwunsch, wie wir für ein zweites Duvet, ist sie sofort zur Stelle, um den zu erfüllen. Die Wohnung ist gross und modern. Das WLAN funktioniert gut. Es gibt eine super Bohnenkaffeemaschine und Bohnen gibts sogar mit dazu. Wie auch Marmelade, Tee, Gewürze, ein paar Teigwaren etc. Julia ist sehr großzügig mit allem, was sie bereit stellt, zum Beispiel auch Abwaschmittel und Waschmittel. Wir schätzten die Waschmaschine. Die Lage ist ruhig. Die Betten waren bequem. Es gibt einen begehbaren Kleiderschrank. Die Fotos im Beschrieb entsprechen der Wirklichkeit.
Der Fußweg vom Bahnhof ist steil und 15 Minuten lang. Der Wasserhahn im Badezimmerlavabo ist zuwenig lang im Verhältnis zum Lavabo. Das ist nicht sehr praktisch zum Zähneputzen oder Waschen. Es spritzt schnell so. Die untere Brause bei der Dusche funktioniert leider nicht. Was für uns nicht ins Gewicht fiel, aber wichtig sein kann zu wissen: die Treppe zum Hauseingang ist nicht barrierefrei.

Easy access steps down by side of house onto terrace with table, chairs, loungers and tranquil open view. Glass door opens into open dining-kitchen-lounge space with panoramic windows and electric blinds. Single (trundle) bed behind front door, large sofa that can also be converted into a bed plus separate bedroom with double bed and walk in dressing. Spacious bathroom with toilet and paper and airfreshner, huge walk-in shower (no shower gel or shampoo), sink with hand soap, mirror, plenty clean towels, good lighting. There was orange juice, milk, butter, jam in the fridge which was a very pleasant surprise. Tea bags available as well as coffee capsules for the machine. Large, fresh, delicious macaroons for each of us on the table that were also unexpected and much appreciated. Coop, Micro, Denner grocery stores 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive to buy whatever needed (though I'm sure host would've provided basics eg bread if requested.) Beds made with beautiful presented clean towels that were rolled and a chocolate heart for each person. Impeccable. Highly recommend if you want a quiet getaway. We walked into town to eat.
couldn't find a kettle to boil water, used a saucepan instead. Otherwise, VERY WELL EQUIPPED kitchen with dishes, glasses, cutlery, utensils, microwave, raclette machine, bar-b-q grill, oven, fridge with small freezer, clean dish clothes, oil and spices, etc.

A lovely surprise was waiting for us in the fridge – a delicious breakfast that was just what we needed after our trip. Reviewed Dec 1, 2024The second time there, I felt exactly the same excitement as the first time. Everything was perfect down to the last detail. The hospitality was very generous. There was even handmade marmalade, milk, and juice in the fridge. A huge selection of coffee capsules, tea sachets, and even Ovaltine powder to use. They even provided spare shampoo and shower gel in case you hadn't brought your own. Everything that makes your stay easy was provided. I wish it were the same in all my destinations. Thank you, and please stay like that. 🙏 Plus; there are 2 big supermarkets very close by.
Really, there's nothing here to mention. Perhaps it's a bit isolated, but you know that in advance (or even desire it) before you book at Travelan.

the only reason i didn’t give a 10 is accessibility. you have to go down outside stairs, without handrails, to get to the unit. i have difficulty with stairs, so this made it a 2 person job to get me down. this should have been mentioned in the ad.
