Lucky Ranch Snow Igloos

Fantastic experience staying in a snow igloo , amazing location on side of huge frozen lake . Amazing breakfast and lovely hosts. Highly recommended

Nice hut with a fireplace next to the igloos were you keep everything warm during the night in the igloo. The owners are nice and friendly Finnish people.

Breakfast was okay, but there could have been more variety, such as scrambled eggs.

Very authentic, and down to earth, nice place. Exactly what you would imagine it to be.

Moc milý personál, snídaně byla velmi dobrá a příjemně nás překvapilo, že jsou k dispozici zdarma ručníky, fén a káva/čaj. Na spaní v igloo jsme dostali veškeré potřebné vybavení a nahřívací láhve už byly pouze příjemným bonusem:)

Wir waren insgesamt 3 Tage in der LuckyRanch - 1 Nacht davon im Igloo. Die Igloos sind liebevoll gestaltet und es war gemütlich. Das Basecamp war die ganze Nacht offen, d.h. man könnte auch mitten in der Nacht umziehen. Abendessen und Frühstück war auch sehr lecker. Wir haben die Snowmobiltour gemacht ( Cool!!!) und die Sauna genutzt. Wir hatten Glück und haben die Nordlichter gesehen! Antti und Anu und das gesamte Team waren immer sehr bemüht. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit!

We were very well taken care of by the host, who cooked us a warm meal personalised to our dietary requirements and sat with us to chat. He made sure we were happy and comfortable and talked to us about the area, making us feel very welcome.

Unique experience, like no other. Be prepared for a youth hostel vibe in a lovely relaxing lodge. Food was great and home cooked. Our host was amazing.

But like a youth hostel the facilities were shared and limited. Only one shower for everyone etc. We slept well in the igloo, surprisingly toasty and warm. But door coverings were practically non existent so noise and light from outside came straight in. Could have been a thicker, wider curtain. Or door panel on the inside that you could move over to cover the entrance. Still didn’t stop the majority of us sleeping for most of the night!

First time sleeping in the ice hotel ;warmer than I expected. Andy , the host was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was fresh.

The staff, specifically Jonas was extremely helpful and so accomodating, he really went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We loved everything at Lucky Ranch, a real gem of a place.

I enjoyed everything regarding my stay at the Lucky Ranch Snow Igloos. I was very well welcomed. The owners treated me like part of the family and were super helpful . The place is spot clean and super cozy. Sleeping in the Snow Igloo is an unique experience and creates memories for a lifetime. I would love to come back to Lucky Ranch someday.

Sauna and the ice cold water

The food was very good. The host was extremely accommodating and informative. It was an amazing experience to stay in the igloos - the decor was a bonus and the aurora borealis was stunning!

Anu and Anti were incredible hosts. Very accommodating and personable.

The experience was amazing! The staff was extremely friendly, but that's always the case with family run businesses, so it's perfect! The beds were amazing, the sleeping bag was great! All and all, a mesmerizing experience!

LOVE THIS EXPERIENCE! Sleeping in a snow igloo was just so magical. It was -12 in there surprisingly had a good night sleep. Kids love it. Hospitality was excellent and you were made to feel at home. Their Horse farm was also great to visit, love the time spent in the common room making new friends, sharing with others from all over the world. Beds in the igloo were comfortable and sleeping bag provided kept you cosy! Breakfast next morning was great and adequate. Would highly recommend this experience to all.

I loved that it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The iglo was handmade and they provided a sleepingbag to help with warmth.The staf were really welcoming and thoughtful. Also there are tons of activities you are able to do on the property

I liked everything here. The snow igloo is so beautiful. You can also rest and hang out in the living area. Nice atmosphere. Great staff. And the owner is so nice. I really like him as a friend. He treated me also as a friend. Great work on building these igloos.

Frankly, you'll find one night is enough

Proximity of parking to accommodation, friendliness of the owner, the unique accommodating and the other facilities like the sauna and frozen lake plunge, free tea and coffee. Essentially you are made to feel at home

Only shower (if staying in the igloo) is in the men's bathroom

It was a lifetime experience to sleep in the igloo, social around the fire and have Anntie’s amazing food!!!

Everything was perfect. don’t expect a fancy hotel, you do it for the adventure!

We really enjoyed our staying here! The iglo was a great experience for one night. Thanks to antii for his flexibility and guiding us through the beautiful lapland surroundings!

The snow igloo experience was amazing. The traditional Finnish sauna and the bath in the frozen lake were experiences we'll never forget. We made a very good choice with the traditional dinner - it's well worth it. The atmosphere in the LR Saloon is intimate and so friendly. And the scenery is like a fairy tale. We enjoyed it a lot.

The owners are beautiful people! we loved meeting them and talking with them about their daily lives. we also got to meet all the other guests staying in igloos as you hang out in the common area together until it’s time for bed. I was perfectly warm in my igloo. it was a great experience While we were there we also went ice fishing and horse riding. There were quite a few activities you could do as well. it was also close to the ski fields.

They make the igloos from scratch and in many locations. my bed (and none of the other guests had this problem) was on a slope so I kept sliding off the bed and had to lean against the icy igloo wall. But my husband’s bed was fine.

Magical place that everyone searching for a quite time should visit. The Host was helpful and allowed us to grill our self caught fish in the fireplace inside main building! :)

Stay was too short! Too many activities for a longer weekend :( need to stay longer

An interesting experience.

amazing place with amazing staff. initially was worried as we need to share the restroom and main area as we are used to travelling with private restroom. also, worried about the coldness but the thermal sleeping bags were very good my kids slept through the night (overslept) but the overall experience with other guest and interaction with the staff whom was so helpful and nice to show us around was fantastic

breakfast didn’t have enough food for certain items (eg ham) but overall is a must try experience when in that area!!!!

Our stay at lucky ranch was amazing! Anttii and Ano are the best hosts, they make you feel so welcome and are very attentive and helpful regarding anything you need! The ranch is magical, so much todo there. We stayed in the igloo one night it was one of the best experiences we have ever done in our life and highly recommend it. You don’t feel cold as you would expect to because they provide special sleeping bags and the saloon is open 24hours. The other nights we stayed in their cabins, they’re lovely and we also enjoyed Antis 3 course Finnish meal which was so delicious. We booked activities such as husky safari, snow trekking through the national park but apparently the horse ridding was amazing sadly we didn’t have enough time to experience that but extremely good reviews from other guest. Cannot recommend this place enough.
