Not really a fault of the property but attic apartments and heatwaves don't mix well. The church makes for a nice view but beware of the bell if you like quiet places. Road was fairly noisy.

The kitchen had everything. Gerrys instructions for getting the key & getting into the apartment were very clear & easy.

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026The location of the apartment was excellent. We were within walking distance to all of the Longford amenities. Had two lovely dinners out (Spice India and Vocellis), plus nice coffess during the day! We did our own breakfasts, and everything needed was in the apartment.

The bells of the cathedral were a bit annoying at times but completely understand that there’s nothing that can be done about that it’s simply the location.

Reviewed Apr 12, 2026Very clean , well laid out, comfortable seating and the memory foam pillows and bed were amazing to sleep on. A great tv with all you could possibly want to watch available on it and lots of places nearby for food if you didnt feel like cooking in the immaculate kitchen thats already provided in the apartment. All the velux windows provided beautiful morning sunlight when I woke up. It was lovely.
There really isnt much i can fault about this apartment. Initially I was told that the cathedral bells are loud and can be heard in the mornings from other places nearby, but it was nothing worth noting in this apartment I was very pleased. Great place and great host.

It's a location close to the center, very quiet, I felt very comfortable. Thank you very much for everything.

No habia calefacción ni agua caliente, al parecer por un problema eléctrico pero la respuesta llegó después de haber abandonado el apartamento aunque hay que decir que yo no escribí a Gerry hasta por la mañana Cuando ya habíamos hecho el check out me escribió para disculparse y me ofreció una noche gratis por lo ocurrido, pero no voy a volver a Longford en un plazo breve, o sea que no voy a poder usar su compensación He de decir que ha respondido a los mensajes, y me consta que ha sido un problema del que no ha tenido conocimiento, por lo que creo que sin este contratiempo es un lugar adecuado para quedarse

I would not describe this property as luxury. Tired. Needs updating. Small bed. Old towels. Half empty bottles of Tesco shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom. Cheap toilet roll. Random frozen chicken in the freezer.

From the minute we arrived Gerry was there on hand to greet us at the door and provided us with a little info on where to eat and drink. Visited longford over the years due to family living there. The accommodation is spot on, in a really good location of the town, central to pretty much everything you need and good views of the cathedral. We will definitely book in at Tranquility again. Thanks again Gerry.

Way overpriced for what you get. Considerable differences between the photos and listed features versus the reality. Old and worn furniture and appliances. No electric shower, an appliance that's been standard in new house builds since the 1980s!
