It was centrally located enough for shopping and pubs but still far away enough from night life for peaceful nights. The beds were very comfortable, loved it had a washer and dryer, the rooms were sizeable and comfortable and he even supplied muffins and coffee which was very sweet.

There were different soaps in the bathroom, all the essentials in the kitchen, laundry products and even little lemon cakes, which were very good. The host was very nice and available. Really good location, in Sligo city center. We had a great stay at White Birds!

Last minute cancellation by host of 3 night stay after my 2 hour drive to Sligo with two adults two teens. Very disappointing .

Reviewed May 4, 2026Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean and fresh. They left some coffee capsules for us, a carton of milk and a fresh lemon cake. that was thoughtful.
Cleanliness wasn't great - dirty oven trays in the oven, bin was full from last guests, carpet was not clean especially up the stairs. Oven didn't work, we had to reset it at the fuse box to get it to work.

Reviewed Mar 8, 2026A lovely, spacious apartment with sizeable kitchen, sitting room, three bedrooms. Walking distance to town and parking is straightforward enough. Nice furnishings and very comfortable. We came as a couple but it's also suitable for a small family or group.

Reviewed Jan 10, 2026The home was centrally located and very easy to walk everywhere. Close to shops, stores, restaurants, bars and grocery stores. Fully functional kitchen with well-appointed kitchen made it easy to cook meals. Even a crock pot/slow cooker and basic spices. Washing machine, clothes dryer and dishwasher all located in the kitchen area. Paraic was a wonderful host. He met us at the house to show us the rooms and basic house amenities. Gave great tips on restaurants and bars. He sent us links to find great local music and paces to see. Beds were very comfortable, and we slept in more than once! The street itself was nice and quiet. Close to bus stops to hop on public transport to the beach or sightseeing. We enjoyed our family holiday and would recommend to anyone that wants to enjoy the charm of this lovely town.
Everything was great and Paraic was a very attentive host.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2025Sehr schönes kleines Haus in Sligo. Liegt in einer ruhigen Straße, fußläufig sind Geschäfte, Pubs und Supermärkte. Die Inneneinrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll. Der Vermieter war sehr nett, hat uns an der Wohnung empfangen und uns Tipps gegeben. Parken kann man ganz in der Nähe für 3€ von 8.30-18.30 Uhr (nachts und am Sonntag frei).
Die Wohnung war sehr sauber. Die Küche allerdings nicht überall (verdreckter Backofen, zurückgelassenes Essen im Eisfach, Geschirr in der Spülmaschine, schmutzige Pfanne). Der Blick aus dem Badezimmerfenster nach links auf die Müllhalde des Nachbarn ist kein schöner Anblick. Die Matratze im großen Bett hängt in der Mitte durch, so dass man nicht ganz so komfortabel schläft.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2025This is a gem of a property right in the heart of Sligo, but on a quiet street a stroll away from the pubs, restaurants and shops. Paraic met us at the property and told us all we needed to know about the property and the surrounding area. Excellent sponge cake, milk in the fridge, tea and coffee, a very nice touch. I would definitely recommend this property and I hope to stay here the next time I visit Sligo.

There was milk coffee suger etc there for us and a lovely homemade sponge cake.it was delicious. We would defo recommend this house as it is walking distance to the city centre.

Shower didn’t hold hot water for long had to keep putting the boost on but that wasn’t too much of a problem. No hanging rail in main bedroom so nowhere to hang your clothes in that room. Other rooms had storage.

We were met by the host who showed us everything we needed to know about the house. The house is furnished beautifully and to a very high standard. The beds were extremely comfortable. Really didn’t have much noise from the street at all. All facilities in the house exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend this listing. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Reviewed Oct 15, 2024The property was renovated and decorated to a very high standard. The kitchen was equipped with every appliance we could imagine. There was a lovely cake and other food and condiments for our use.The beds were very comfortable and there were more freshly laundered towels than we needed. There wasn’t a speck of dust or the slightest stain anywhere in property. The house is in the centre of the city.
It was just beautiful and we loved it. We had a car with us but we were being bussed to the start of our Saturday hike. Because it’s a townhouse there aren’t private parking spaces but we got to park at the hotel where the mountaineering meet was held. We had parking on the street for the evening and night. It’s pay parking during the day.

It is right in the centre of Sligo so very convenient for shops, bars, restaurants etc. We didn't actually meet Paraic but he was super quick to respond to any messages. Reviewed Sep 12, 2024Our stay at White Birds in Sligo was phenomenal! The townhouse was so charming and comfortable for our family, it came with everything you could need. The host, Paraic was very easy to communicate with, met us to show us the place and shared many recommendations that we enjoyed during our stay. The location of the place is perfect, just one block up from town. The little cake as a welcome gift was such a lovely gesture. Can't recommend this place enough if you are visiting Sligo!
The only thing that is needed are a few hooks or places to hang your towels in the bathroom!

Reviewed Sep 10, 2024Great location, clean enough for us, mod cons and amenities in the house were great. Coffee maker, milk frother, dishwasher, wachine machine etc. Even an iron press for your suit! The communication was clear, check in seamless too. All in all very happy.
Hot water seemed to run out pretty quickly so had to have a cold shower which soon woke me up! Carpets needed a deep clean as well, but otherwise it was really clean throughout. The front rooms could also do with some horizontal blinds for more privacy.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2024The location is excellent - pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. Doorley Park is close by for a river bank park walk. The house is spacious with an outdoor table for brighter days and the decor is very thoughtful. Small touches like having a coffee maker, milk and some cake waiting made for a ncie welcome. Beds, sheets and towels were good quality and the whole place felt clean and fresh.
There's just one bathroom so that took some coordination in the morning but the bathroom is very nicely decorated and the shower is excellent.
