Reception people knew no english and continued to keep speaking spanish irregardless. The office was vacant mostly, and unresponsive to their bell chime. when rung. Also, i had to request breakfast every time as i felt it would be forgotten. Also the wifi was frequently down.

Los banquillos para sentarse a la mesa de la cocina, soy muy incomodos e inestables. La verdad es lo unico que desentona con el resto de los muebles y camas.

Reviewed Feb 14, 2026The property is very clean and modern with a good amount of space. It is motel style with rooms having windows onto a shared parking space (which is behind a gate, away from the road). The room has a kitchenette inside it, and the breakfast they provided was to give us a range of foods to cook ourselves - this was a generous amount, covering a lot of different kinds of breakfast! The property is a short walk from the centre of Coyhaique (around 15 minutes).
Everything was fine. It did feel a bit like you needed to prearrange a time for the manager to be in reception, which wouldn't suit all travellers. The property is in a very quiet location, a walk away from the main part of town, which wouldn't suit all travellers.

Reviewed Jan 29, 2026We loved our stay at the Rumbo Sur. We rented the two bedroom two bathroom duplex for one night. We had access to a green space which allowed us to dry our wet tents and gear after completing a trek through Cerro Castillo National Park. The duplex was spotless and included clean towels, fresh linens, and toiletries. There was more than enough room for our group of 5. We especially enjoyed the fresh breakfast supplies already on our counter and in our fridge: Fresh bread, eggs, coffee, yogurt, milk, juice, butter, and of course, MANJAR! This was a much better experience than eating at a common buffet with other guests as I have experienced at other places. The receptionist was delightful, attentive, and helpful. We felt welcomed and free to come and go as we desired.
We needed a bit more toilet paper than was provided.

Reviewed Mar 17, 2024Breakfast was perfect....good bread, meat,cheese,jam, manjar, milk, juice, sweet rolls, coffee. All self-contained, as I arrived after 2 solid days of travel, and was very tired. I could eat when I wanted. Vilma was a very nice lady, who brought the breakfast food to me the night before. The bed was very comfortable, all was very clean, and nice. It was a studio apartment, and perfect.

Reviewed Dec 10, 2022I love this amazing place. it’s like a home from home in Patagonia. This was our second time staying there (last time in 2018!) and it was as amazing as I remembered. The staff cannot so enough for you and went so far out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. We stayed for the Patagonman Triathlon and it is a perfect location and they stored bike boxes and other things for us when we went travelling other places after the race.
Internet can sometimes be dodgy but great 5G reception and local SIM cards are very cheap.
