Cabañas Dechi

My son and I’s stay at Charlie’s place was amazing! The location just out of town, but within easy walking distance was peaceful and quiet. Our 2 cabañas were comfortable and clean. The tours that we booked for Charlie were fun and we learned lots about the Amazon and its people. José was our (English speaking) guide during our stay, and he was easy and wonderful to chat with and cooks a delicious breakfast. A true asset for Cabanñas Dechi. Thank you to Charlie and his charming family for a great stay and thank you to José for all the adventures!

Ich hatte einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in diesen tollen Hütten mitten in der Natur! Die Unterkunft wird von einer unglaublich herzlichen kolumbianischen Familie betrieben, die mich fantastisch beraten hat und super Touren organisieren kann. Sie kennen sich in der Gegend einfach bestens aus. Mein persönlicher Spartipp für alle Reisenden: Kontaktiert „NAINEKÜ Amazon trip“ für tolle, lokale und indigene Touren zu absolut fairen Preisen! Mein persönliches Highlight im Garten war der kleine Kaiman im Teich und natürlich die unvergleichliche Gastfreundschaft dieser Familie. Ich habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt und komme sehr gerne wieder!

Vor Ort gibt es zwar kein Frühstück, aber eine tolle Alternative: Ab 8:00 Uhr öffnet das Restaurant Amazonas in Puerto Nariño, wo man sich bestens für den Tag stärken kann.

Entri letteralmente a far parte della famiglia di charlie sin dall’arrivo a puerto Nariño dove è venuto personalmente con la sua famiglia ad accoglierci e a presentarci al resto della comunità! Le cabañas sono in un complesso sicuro, pur mantenendo la loro privacy e condividendo uno stagno comune dove vive il loro “animale domestico”, il caimano Fermín! Charlie si adopera per tutte le escursioni da fare in amazzonia, personalizzandole in base alle necessità e in ogni momento spiega e condivide qualcosa della sua cultura (piante, animali, abitudini). La cabaña é fatta davvero bene, spaziosa, pulita, ma l’esterno lascia senza parole: una verandina con amaca con vista sullo stagno e tutt’intorno alberi da frutto, piante, animali,..

Assolutamente nulla

La sistemazione si trova praticamente nella foresta, la proprietà è ben curata con fiori e vie ben segnalate, i bungalow affacciano su un delizioso laghetto che ospita piccoli caimani che Carly, il proprietario, "recupera" da brutte avventure. Nonostante ciò il centro è raggiungibile con una piacevole camminata su strada illuminata e battuta in meno di 10 minuti. Lo staff è disponibile e pronto a soddisfare le tue esigenze,.abbiamo organizzato tutte le escursioni con loro, la nostra guida José preparatissima e appassionata nonostante non fosse autoctona. Qualità prezzo eccezionale, sia per la struttura che per le escursioni. Godetevi il relax che questo posto vi offre.

Non aspettatevi il lusso, ma siamo in Amazzonia, il lusso e le comodità lasciamole a casa!

Increíble experiencia en cabañas dechi. Pasamos 5 noches, nos hubiésemos quedado muchísimas más.Charly y su familia son encantadores. Su casa es un paraíso para los amantes de la naturaleza. Se nota que cuidan del entorno y que aman el entorno que lo rodea. Además, Lino, fue el mejor guía que pudimos tener, transmitiéndonos un amor profundo por el amazonas. Ojalá podamos volver. Muchas gracias por todo familia!

El sitio es paradisíaco. Estás rodeado de naturaleza: monos, aves de todo tipo, caimanes...es imposible de describir la maravilla del lugar. Desayunas en plena naturaleza. El trato con ellos es de 10. Puedes contratar con ellos más excursiones y el guia, Lino, es fantástico

Todo muy bien, quizá un pelín más de consenso sobre las excursiones que íbamos a hacer y el precio. Muchos días iniciamos la excursión sin saber bien a donde íbamos y, por ejemplo, la última no la habríamos cogido de saberlo. En cualquier caso, merece la pena alojarse con ellos porque son fantásticos.

La hospitalidad de Charlie y su familia. Experiencia auténtica, durmiendo escuchando el sonido de la selva por la noche. Charlie organiza los tours/ excursiones, no debes ocuparte de nada. Él mismo nos acompañó en caminata nocturna por la selva, brindándonos todo tipo de explicaciones y contándonos muchas experiencias personales. Nos llevamos un recuerdo inolvidable ❤️. Aconsejamos a todo el mundo que se hospede aquí en su viaje al Amazonas.

Los anfitriones son de lujo, su calidad humana y servicio son únicos, muy atentos y dispuestos para que la estadía sea toda una experiencia. Las cabañas y el lago brindan una ambiente excepcional de tranquilidad y paz.

I had great time at the Cabanas Dechi. Charlie and his family made me feel super welcomed and answered all my questions. The room/cabana itself was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. The Cabanas are around 5-10 mins of walking (lit during night) from the town of Puerto Narino. Charlie sent me all the info about boats before, showed me the property and I was able to do little bit of fishing with him and then feeding their caiman. They also made breakfast for me each morning.

We spent 3 amazing days at Cabana Dechi, with Charlie, Jose and his lovely family. This has been one of the best experiences in our lives thanks to the incredible effort and passion Charlie and everyone else put in making the stay the best possible. Puerto Narino is already an oasis of peace next to the Amazon river, but what really make a difference in the stay are: - the beauty of the stay and the cabanas (clean, fresh, with a pond next to them where charlie keeps ARAPAIMA!!! And a caiman that you can feed!!) - the activities done with charlie and jose. In particular the jungle walk (day and night), the visit to the community san antonio, the seeing of the dolphins while swimming in tarapoto lake, the fishing of the piranas etc etc. Charlie and Jose are both full of knowledge about the jungle and its flora and fauna, and they are enthusiast to teach you everything and they try to make everything to accomodate your requests about what you want to do. - Charlie’s family, so kind with us that we really felt like part of it (the breakfast on the terrace with the little Emy and the perrot piwi will always be in our memory!) Make yourself a present and book!l the stay here! 10000/10000 experience recommended.

La gentillesse des propriétaires fait toute la différence! Toute la famille est attentionnée, ainsi que les personnes qui travaillent dans le domaine. Les excursions que Charly propose sont de très grande qualité, car il les fait lui-même ou c'est son frère qui le remplace. Ils connaissent leur région par cœur et la respect énormement. Les cabanes sont sobres, mais très efficaces. Les lits sont de très bonnes qualités avec une moustiquaire et ventilo, et la salle de bain est très correcte pour une cabane. L'endroit est calme et c'est seulement les oiseaux sauvages qui vous réveilleront. C'est un très joli domaine rempli de végétation avec un étang Si vous recherchez un endroit en accord avec son environnement, c'est la bonne porte et je ne peux que vous le recommander niveau qualité/prix.

Loved pretty much everything. Charlie, his family and his team were all fantastic. It was such a pleasure meeting them all. Every one of them went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. Charlie arranged all of our tours and we loved them all. Lino and Eddie were great guides. Both were super nice, knowledgeable and passionate about the area they live in. Our cabin sat right off the Amazon and had amazing views. Quiet and only a short ten minute walk into Puerto Nariño. Highly recommend you choose to stay here and get to meet them all.

Our bathroom was open air and we had some visitors a couple of nights, but big shout out to Brenda, Rodrigo and Charlie’s adorable five year old daughter, Emmy, for helping relocate them back to the jungle. Wasn’t a big deal. The location was so immersed in the jungle, it would have seemed odd not to have the occasional critter come visit. And showering in the open air bathroom looking out at the river was such an amazing experience!

I stayed here with my partner for 4x nights and 5x days. What stood out the most was how friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable Charlie is. The moment we arrived we were greeted with a delicious guanabana juice, showed us a snake he had found the night before, and took us too feed the Pirarucu fish and caiman right there in the property. He has a wealth of knowledge about the town, the region, it's history and nature. It was a pleasure talking to him over a 100% cacao drink made at the property, and meeting his beautiful family and friends. The property is located in a beautiful setting; you will hear so many birds in the early morning and the sound of frogs in the evening. Fully recommended.

The location is great! All 3 cabins are on a small pond, which is surrounded by jungle. Amazing insect and bird sounds all night. I slept like a baby every night. Spent a lot of time in the hammock on the porch. Great place to finish an active day of hiking to one of Puerto Nariño’s many attractions. The owner Charlie and his wife are the salt of the earth. Incredibly kind, warm, and accommodating. It’s also only a lovely 10 minute walk into town along the river. Cabañas Dechi es lo máximo!

From the moment that we arrived to Puerto Narino we were welcomed and shown where our stay was which was a lovely touch! After this we met the hosts who were extremely welcoming; it's got a lovely family dynamic and we were welcomed with a couple of bracelets and got to hold their parakeet which was the cutest! Our whole stay was a blast and the hosts managed to setup private tours for us for the entire duration of the stay including going with us at night on a night tour - they even lent us wellies and because I didn't have any long trousers I was even lent some of the hosts. When we didn't manage to see some of the animals we were wanting to see (Piranhas) the host made sure that we fit another trip in the following day. They really go above and beyond to make sure you're happy. As for the place it's in a wonderful setting, amongst the jungle - and you get to hear all of the natural sounds of the jungle which we loved! The lake in the back also has two Caimans which we were able to spot. 5/5 would highly recommend especially if you are looking for an interactive and welcoming place

My family and I just returned home from THE most wonderful stay at Cabañas Dechi ! Charlie and his beautiful family were the most extraordinary, loving, and thoughtful hosts. They helped us plan out each day which included highly personalized tours w our dream guide (we love you Marco !) — piranha fishing, indigenous community visits, epic rainforest romps, etc !, inviting us to their daughters performance in town as well as on a very memorable jungle night walk, and really going above and beyond to make my birthday a memorable one (including a gorgeous cake and serenades sung by his family !?). Truly the most salt of the earth humans with so much passion for their community and land ! So much gratitude for this stay and this experience — we can’t wait to go back x x x

Staying at Cabañas Dechi was one of the highlights of my trip. They have a lake filled with fishes and the famous Pirarucu. The cabins are cozy, clean, beautifully set in nature and close to the Amazon river, but what makes this place unforgettable is Nancy, her husband Charlie and all the family. They welcomed me with genuine warmth, sharing their time, stories, and care. Thanks to them, I left with a full heart and the feeling that I’ll always have a home in Puerto Nariño!

El mejor sitio para conocer el Amazonas colombiano. La familia es encantadora, Charlie te organiza las excursiones para ver monos aulladores, delfines rosados, el safari nocturno... La cabaña es ideal, duermes rodeado de naturaleza pero en un lugar seguro y limpio..

No busques más, este es el mejor alojamiento de Puerto Nariño.

Toda la familia y trabajadores se desviven por hacer que esos días sean una experiencia inolvidable y en ayudar en todo lo posible.

Hemos pasado unos dias maravillosos con Charlie y su familia. La cabaña es sencillamente preciosa, amplia, con mosquiteras, ventilador, comodas camas, baño privado. Charlie se ocupo de organizarnos los dias en el amazonas, contamos con Santos durante esos dias y solonpodenos decir cosas maravillosas de él tambien. Las actividades propuestas fueron de 10. Enriquecedoras yvautenticas. Recomiendo alojarse en cabañas dechi sin lugar a dudas.

Fue una estancia perfecta.

Charlie e la sua famiglia sono molto accoglienti, simpatici e preparati. La struttura si trova in una posizione favolosa con un bellissimo giardino e laghetto privato. La notte dormi tra i rumori della natura, perché le cabanas non hanno finestre ma solo zanzariere e tende, così da sentirti veramente immerso nella giungla. Siamo stati da loro ad agosto e non abbiamo trovato zanzare in camera, anche perché Charlie procede alla disinfestazione. Ci è piaciuta un sacco la cioccolata a colazione fatta direttamente con il loro cacao. Le escursioni sono state fantastiche, ben organizzate con guide molto preparate (un grazie speciale a Marco che ci ha accompagnato nella scoperta della foresta e dei suoi misteri, grazie a lui e a Charlie abbiamo potuto vedere tantissimi animali!). Consigliamo vivamente cabanas Dechi per chi vuole provare un'esperienza autentica ed immergersi nella vita dell'Amazzonia.

Il bagno piccolo e la mancanza di acqua calda, ma c'è da aspettarselo quando si va in posti come questo, ovviamente nella foresta non possiamo trovare tutti gli agi a cui siamo abituati. Detto ciò Charlie e la sua famiglia fanno di tutto per farti stare bene!

Charly y su familia son encantadores, amigables y muy hospitalarios. Te reciben con los brazos abiertos, siempre dispuestos a ayudar en lo que se necesite. Te reciben con un zumo de bienvenida, te explican las actividades qué organizan y que puedes hacer con ellos adaptándolas a tus necesidades haciendo que te sientas como en casa. Te gestionan el traslado y te vienen a recoger. Desayuno rico y variado. Habitaciones amplias y cómodas buena relación calidad precio.

No había internet en la habitación, solo en las zonas comunes, es algo que están valorando añadir.

Nuestra experiencia en el Amazonas fue sencillamente inolvidable. Desde el primer momento, Charlie nos recibió con una calidez y una dedicación que hicieron que nos sintiéramos como en casa, pero en medio de la selva. No solo Charlie, sino todo el equipo de guías, mostraron su conocimiento sobre la fauna, la flora y las costumbres locales. Gracias a ellos, pudimos descubrir lugares extraordinarios, alejados de aglomeraciones y vivir experiencias que jamás habríamos imaginado. ¡Totalmente recomendado!

Le séjour passé aux Cabañas Dechi était super, Charlie, sa famille et son staff son très sympathiques, à l’écoutes et bienveillants. Les activités sont très diverses, donnent un bon aperçu de l’Amazonie et sont d’un bon rapport qualité prix Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Charlie je recommande !

Gastvrijheid was uitstekend, heel erg warm gezin. Doordat je in de ver afgelegen in amazone zit is het prettig zo ontvangen te worden.

Charlie and family were wonderfully welcoming and helpful. Situated around a lake and surrounded by forest the location was fantastic. The cabanas were well maintained and very clean. Charlie helped arrange boat reservations to Puerto Narino, gave us eating recommendations and the excursions booked directly with him were great and good value.

The Bungalow is nice and is close to a lake, where you find some Kaiman hanging out. It has a great garden, where you can find many birds and other animals. Charlie and his family cares for you and all your needs. Its a clean bungalow in a quiet and nice surrounding. I highly can recommend a jungle trek with Charlie, he knows this area well and you will learn a lot. Its a great place and please keep it like this.

We had the best time here! Charlie and his family will make you feel like home. The cabañas have everything you need: mosquito net, comfortable beds, nice terrace with a view over the lake and most importantly they are clean. I also highly recommend booking your tours directly with Charlie, he will plan out your days perfectly depending on your preferences, so you can sit back and relax - you don't have to worry about planning anything, which was a great plus for us. His guides are local experts so your tours are of highest level for a very reasonable price. Also we had a private guide for all tours, so they were really tailored to us. I would definitely come back, thank you Charlie for everything! 🤠🫶

Cabañas Dechi is the place to stay in Puerto Nariño. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. We were met by Charlie and his sons at the dock when we arrived from Leticia and taken to the cabins. They are a short walk from the centre of town, on a beautiful property surrounded by nature. The cabins are simple but impeccably clean, comfortable and with everything you might need. Charlie and his family helped us arrange activities, transport and meals for the three days we were there. They are some of the warmest and most welcoming people we met on our trip around South and Central America. We had a truly wonderful time staying here, and only wish we could have stayed longer. It was the highlight of our trip.

Beautiful property in nature with peace and quiet. Has it’s own small pond with a caiman and many piraracu fish. Owner organizes tours, if you desire. You’re even invited into the family’s home to have meals like your a part of the family.

Liked everything

The place is very nice, you have your own hut with private bathroom and balcony with a hammock facing a beautiful pond, where you can hear the famous Pirarucu fish jumping and see a baby cayman (you don't have to go further or buy a tour to see them). It is quite comfortable. I loved the hosts, Charlie, his wife and their children. They were all lovely, kind, helpful. Also, I loved that we could have genuine conversations with them, so you make a connection with the local people. They were also flexible to change my date and leave my luggage, when I went to stay the night within the jungle.

Nothing really, I loved it. The place is 10 mins walking from the town itself and it is part of the experience for me. I had a cabin baggage with wheels it was ok for me to carry it. But you should think twice if you have a heavy baggage or wheelchair, as the road is not flat everywhere.

Absolutly fantastic place! Owners are so kind, food is amazing, you can play with parrots, they will show you around in the junge, route to the town and they will help you in everything, including booking ferry ticket from Leticia. AMAZING wooden houses in the nature, mosquito protected, well equipped spottles clean bathrooms. Fantastic. Please, go ther and help local community in the jungle. Fast Wifi and good network recepotion. You will LOVE it!

- not for the faint of heart - you’ll hear all the sounds of the jungle at night! - good level of fitness needed for walking to and from town

They are kind and friendly. Had some ok talk with owner and other guests. Seems like he is very for socializing at the common area, so if you are looking for it it's great place. Not far from city but very chill and green. They have good Internet in common space (no signal at cabins).

Cabañas lack of care. The shower is terrible - one strong tiny water going, missing parts. No curtain makes it splash everywhere. Sink is equally bad - no way to wash hands without water splashing all over. Mosquitera had issues and I had to fix it to be functional - broken strings. The cabin has big infestation of cockroaches in the night. Walking and pooping everywhere on cabinet. Also missed feeling about their trustworthy. When checked it, they apparently didn't have change. After patiently waiting 5 days for it, I decided to ask for it at check out. Apparently no money in entire house. Owner is somewhere in the city. After all got my little change but the bad aftertaste stayed. It should be their priority if they didn't have at check in.

The host Charlie and Nazdi treat you like family and keep the property in amazing condition. The location is great and I was very happy with all the arrangements!

The Host is amazing!!! The worth of this place lies completely because of the owner. He’s kind, honest, hard working and invested in making your stay well rounded and unique. My son loves to fish so Charlie took us out on the evening for our own fishing excursion. Charlie ran all of our tours personally. All our tours were private and personalized because of this. Cabin is a 10 min walk from town so it was generally quiet. We asked for breakfast to be included and they were happy to oblige. Charlie booked our boat tickets, picked us up and dropped us off from the dock ( really nice personal touches). His family are polite and welcoming.

I found it a tad challenging to cook food in the kitchen because it is where the family cooks as well.

Nice location with all the necessary comfort you would expect in the Amazon. Fantastic welcome. The manager is a very good guide and can draw up an entire program for you at the best price. We arranged all activities through him. He will pick you up in the village so that you do not have to carry your luggage yourself. Pleasant family (with wife and children). Absolutely recommended, best service at the best price.

The property is beautiful and in a peaceful area. Charlie and his family are kind and welcoming and want to share their home and culture with visitors. They were very helpful with setting up tours and accommodating other needs while in Puerto Nariño.

It would be nice to have a reliable source of drinking water, rather than having to ask for it or buy bottled water.

Beautiful cabanas (wooden houses) on a private property with a lake,and a big garden. Only few minutes walking distance from the city centre. Everything was super clean. The attention from the whole family was perfect. They were friendly and warm. They offered us an amazing tours to enjoy the breathtaking nature of Amazonas. We loved it so much that we plan to come back again with our friends and family.

Extremely spacious and comfortable Cabanas. Charlie and family welcomed us warmly and you can tell they are very genuine people. Loved that the place is surrounded by nature, giving a sense of peace. Instantly regretted that our stay was only 2 nights the moment we entered. Location is at a peaceful corner slightly outside of the town but easy to walk to and from. Highly recommend for anyone visiting this Puerto Nariño. Unbeatable value!

Awesome place to enjoy the Amazonas. The room was actually an apartment with an incredible view on the Rio, and the hosts are otherworldly. Highly recommended to enjoy Puerto Nariño.

This is a wonderful place to stay! I would recommend it to all my family and friends. Charlie and his family have a beautiful property. They are kind, welcoming, and very helpful with finding tours and places to visit. They have an amazing guide named Santos that can take you on the tours of pink dolphins or across the river to Peru for a hike in the forest. We stayed in a comfortable studio, and had breakfast and lunch cooked for us on site. It is a beautiful family environment, and you also have the privacy of the studio. Perfect place for a vacation!

Cabanas Dechi is a beautiful place to stay within walking distance of Puerto Narinho (1 km). The best about this stay is the host, Charlie. Although he doesn't speak English, we communicated well enough with my little Spanish. He organized wonderful trips for us during our 2 day stay. The highlight was undoubtedly the night walk in the jungle. We saw a lot of tarantulas, a poisonous frog, a poisonous salamander and lots of other interesting creatures. During a day trip in the jungle we saw sloths in the wild. That was very special. We also saw the pink dolphins on our river trip although just momentarily. They are very shy. Our cabana was very comfortable and we had a huge fan. The humidity in the Amazon is close to 98% which can be very uncomfortable. Despite that our cabana was nice and cool at night and we slept well. The bathroom is small and there is only cold water but in the Amazon you don't need hot water. The only negative is that the shower spilled water over into the rest of the bathroom and the floor was constantly wet and muddy. We wished that we had a mop and some rags to clean our bathroom after showering. Most places in the Amazon, even the very expensive eco lodges, does not have electricity 24 hours a day. Cabanas Dechi, however had 24 hour electricity and Charlie's rates are very good. The accommodation and the sightseeing trips are not expensive and if you are booked for a day trip, breakfast and lunch are also included. The breakfast is scrambled eggs, bread, fruit and hot chocolate and served on Charlie's own back porch. The one day we had lunch at his place when coming back from a jungle trip and the other day lunch at a local restaurant in the jungle was included. Charlie's friend collected us in a small boat from the port at Puerto Narinho upon arrival and took us about 300 meters along the river bank to where Cabanas Dechi was located.

The shower spilled water over the rest of the bathroom floor. A mop in the cabana would help.

The location is fantastic, close to town but feels very private and right next to the pond.

The location is nice as it is outside Puerto Narino. The host was very nice and friendly.

There was a consistent bad smell in the bathroom. The shower pressure was non existent and you had a tiny stream of cold water to shower. They were cockroaches in the room at night

Simple but very cozy accommodation. Charlie was not only an extraordinary host, but he also organized my trips in the jungle. Thank you once again Charlie for my wonderful vacation.

Everything was perfect. Charlie and his family were outstanding. The place, location, value for money and environment were excellent.

Charlie and his family are just great hosts where you quickly feel at home. The chalets are very beautiful and practical with the air-permeable and mosquito-proof walls. I also took part in excursions offered by Charlie, which were very successful and inexpensive. So my 100 percent recommendation for Cabañas Dechi👍

What a wonderful stay at Cabañas Delhi! I was made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived, including the offer of breakfast at the property. The cabin is a short walk from town and so is lovely and peaceful. I so enjoyed reading my book in the hammock and watching the birds that came past. Would definitely recommend going to see the sloths and doing some bird watching while you are here.

The host was absolutely amazing and made you feel very welcome. It was near puerto narino and everything was still walkable. Always power and water and the cabin was really cute with hammock and all amenities you need. The palm trees and little lake looked very cute. Their house is amazing and the cabins even had a little fridge and a tiny tiny little terrace. Great value as well! We could pay with Revolut which was very nice. We even got a little goodbye gift.

Sadly there was no breakfast and not even a cup of coffee, this meant we needed to walk all the way to town (20mins back and 20 minutes forth = +40 mins) before even waking up. I expected a forest location but it's in between other houses, plots, a loud generator / pump that runs 24 hours. None of this was an issue since their plot is very green anway and everything looks beautiful.

Very authentic experience, jungle immersive feeling without actually having to camp (jungle glamping even!) Situated by a gorgeous little lake and surrounded by trees, if you love nature this is the place for you. Charlie is absolutely lovely, so kind and helpful and very knowledgeable about the Amazon and indigenous people and culture. Would love to go back and spend more time there.

We loved our stay at Cabañas Dechi. The family is extremely welcoming, and the cabañas are beautiful and cosy. The tours were amazing and we loved the delicious food! Highly recommended!

We liked EVERYTHING

Charlie and his family were so warm and welcoming during my stay. The Cabanas provide a peaceful base for your stay and Charlie is happy to help arrange tours and translation services if required. The Cabanas added to the magic of my visit to the Amazon.

The Cabanas are not in Puerto Narino itself (if that is where you are looking to stay); they are a little walk away. I enjoyed the walk as it allowed me the opportunity to see more of the community and local guides can also pick you up by boat from down the river bank if asked.

I feel very lucky to make decision on staying in Charlie’s hostel for 4 nights. Charlie is a very nice person. I feel he is truly nature lover and he has strong knowledge of everything in the forests. The room is very clean and the mosquito net makes me feel safe. Relaxing in the hammock after the day trip in afternoon and falling asleep in the surround nature sound at night. Charlie takes care all activities, I don’t need to worry anything but always have surprise about Amazon. I highly recommend staying in his place and join his day tours! I will miss his lovely family!!

An amazing stay! The cabins are simple but a lovely design with views of the big pond area and are kept very clean. We loved sitting on the decking, watching the birds fly around and the cayman swim. Charlie and his family were incredibly lovely, they welcomed us into their home. We learnt a lot about the local area. Charlie arranged trips for us to a local lake, an area to see sloths and a 4 days in the jungle. All were fantastic and very reasonably priced. Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

Wow! This was a magical and truly authentic experience in the Amazon! Charlie and his wife welcomed us into their family home and were extremely accommodating with helping arrange our boat ride and tours. They also cooked us a couple of delicious breakfasts with the most amazing hot chocolate! We loved the tours we went on with Charlie and with his tour guide- the night hike was a highlight for sure! The accommodation was great, a true authentic experience in the jungle on the families property. We especially loved their dogs who were always there to greet us! Puerto Narino itself is a magical place, we felt very safe and everyone couldn’t have been more friendly. A beautiful community of people in a beautiful part of the Amazon.

The location is fantastic. Far enough from the town to be away from any noise and bustle but not too far to walk. The cabins themselves are by a small lake with views and sounds of all the nature around. My cabin was spotlessly clean when I arrived, the bed was comfortable and the mosquito netting did its job perfectly. And the host family, who live in the main house at the entrance to the property, are lovely people, right down to the small children, who were noticeably polite.

The main thing I didn't like was that I couldn't extend my stay for two more nights! Both cabins were booked and I had to move to somewhere more expensive and less comfortable! There are a couple of inaccuracies in the description, which the owners are trying to fix on the website. Note that each cabin has only one bedroom and the kitchen facilities are shared with the family. The property is developing, however, with another cabin with kitchen under construction, and ideas for an outdoor kitchen area. Watch this space!

Very good calm location (1km to city center, but its ok for us and our 5 years old daughter). One double bed and one single bed. Very good fan, fridge, private bathroom and shower. The owner took us to tours and very very good price. Recomend 100 proc. Very nice place to stay with family (the owner has three yung children). Location very safe.

Charly and his family are exceptional great. I travel in a lot of hotels and hostels and this was one of the best stays ever. Clean, helpful and you feel like sleeping in the jungle.

We loved how Charlie welcomed us into his home and made us feel like family! We truly enjoyed his experience and knowledge of the area, culture, and finding all the secret spots to find dolphins, wildlife and flora. The cabin was glorious! We loved the layout, the privacy, and the location within the indigenous part of the village. Charlie and his family were so friendly and hospitable. They made us the most amazing breakfast and lunch and took care of our water taxi accommodations and our guided tours, even accompanying us out to the lake, and down secret waterways, and on a night hike where we spotted a coral snake, a poison dart frog, many poisonous spiders, tarantulas, and very beautiful flowers. Also along our adventures he showed us native plants and we tasted lots of native fruits. What an incredibly authentic experience! Also he is in the process of building a new cabin overlooking the Amazon River with a private balcony. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for the most immersive experience in the Amazonas all the while being within walking distance to Peurto Narino so that you may also explore the beautiful village on your own! We will be back someday!!!

What we found most difficult was our inability to speak Spanish, but Charlie did an incredible job of using Google Translate to communicate with us when possible. He was always so friendly and willing to teach us or introduce us to his friends or family.

Wonderful!! We spent three absolutely extraordinary days here and enjoyed every moment of our stay. We had a nice cabana situated in on a beautiful little lake with Kaiman and Kolibris surrounded by pristine nature. We fell asleep with the noises of la selva and woke up by the chirping of the birds. But we were also integrated into the community of an extremely well organized village of mostly indigenous people the Amazonas region. You get a short impression of the daily life of the whole family and neighbors. It is a perfect mixture between an authentic homestay and a cabana. You can choose how much you want to get involved. The owner organized our private tours and we always had the feeling that our guides wanted to fulfill our wishes and make every tour a very special individualized experience just for us. So we experienced and learned a lot more than on previous tours in other places. We highly recommend this accommodation in every way. Next time we will stay longer. Thank you, Charlie!!
