La Rose Des Vents vs Similar Hotels

Rooms/apartments frequently described as spacious and comfortable with good kitchens and beds; some negatives about aging equipment, shower issues or balconies under repair.

Multiple guests report inadequate cleaning (hair on floors, dirty sponge in kitchen, general 'logement sale'); a few guests mention very clean or new rooms, but overall cleanliness complaints lower this score.

Consistently praised: proximity to the port, beach and D‑Day sites, good position for sightseeing and shops; many reviews explicitly cite excellent location.

Numerous mentions of friendly, welcoming and available staff ('amabilité du personnel', 'Très bon accueil', 'personnel accueillant'); some isolated issues with breakfast staff's knowledge (gluten) but overall service is a strong positive.

Breakfast is described as copious and good by many, but recurring problems with gluten-free options and staff knowledge (important for guests with celiac) lower this rating.

Pool is repeatedly praised (warm, very good) but opening hours are inconsistent and there are noise/TV cut issues; paid parking, lack of EV chargers and some missing small items reduce the score.

Several guests call the price good or excellent value (including positive breakfast value); a minority note poor value because of cleanliness or extra parking fees, but perceived value is generally high.
