Dodo Villa

A quelques pas de la plage, entouré de nombreux hôtels de bon standing et de quartiers résidentiels luxueux, L'endroit est calme, à proximité de divers restaurants, épicerie, salon de massage d'un bon rapport qualité-prix. Le propriétaire est sympa, disponible et à l'écoute de la moindre requête du client. Mon séjour s'est déroulé sans problème particulier, dans un climat de confiance réciproque. Je recommande.

Dodo Villa heeft een goede centrale ligging. Vanuit de accommodatie kun je gemakkelijk verschillende plaatsen bereiken en het strand ligt op 1 min rechtdoor lopen. De eigenaar was vriendelijk en stond snel klaar wanneer ik iets meldde. Nadat ik een paar klachten had aangegeven, heeft hij persoonlijk geprobeerd de accommodatie zo goed mogelijk schoon te maken en heeft hij enkele zaken vervangen.

Helaas was na mijn mening, de accommodatie bij aankomst niet goed schoongemaakt. Er waren mieren, kakkerlakken en problemen met schimmel, roest en onderhoud. De eigenaar heeft na mijn melding wel geprobeerd de problemen zo goed mogelijk op te lossen, maar ook na de ongedierte bestrijding/schoonmaak, bleven er kakkerlakken en mieren aanwezig.

Un departamento hermoso y cómodo con balcón a palmeras y luego un pedazo de mar. A una cuadra de la playa de Pointe aux Biches. Muy luminoso, TV, buen wifi, cama muy bien con buenas sábanas y toallas, elementos de cocina, recomiendo.

Estaba limpio salvo la toalla de cocina y el cajón de cubiertos con muy mal olor. Respecto de Troux aux Biches está a 2,5km.

L accueuil est organisé en personne et en cas de problème l hôte vient immédiatement sur place (je n arrivais pas à allumer la cuisinière et il est revenu en soirée lorsque je l ai appelé). C est très propre, bien agencé et équipé. Situé en accès direct à la plage. Un arrêt de bus à même pas 100m. Très bon rapport qualité-prix : nous recommandons.

Ce n est pas du au logement, mais à Trou aux Biches il vaut mieux avoir une voiture.

Absolutely close to everything... 2 mins walk to the beach. Shops and restaurants are quite close... You can have a long walk towards the coast. Ajay is very helpful... he's there every morning, looking after his customers and keeping the place clean... Good value for money. Recommended.

Il n'y a pas d'eau chaude, manque des couverts et une cafetière.

Was ok. Comfortable. Clean. Location was quite. At night... you can hear the noise from cars on the road.

There was no knife to cut vegetables. Few lights wasn't working. Water pressure in shower was low. The check out was too early.

Appartement très bien situé à la pointe aux piments. À quelques minutes de la plage public et quelques kilomètres des principaux centre d’intérêt du nord est de l’île, je recommande cet hébergement. Très bon rapport qualité / prix. L’appartement est simple, fonctionnel et très bien équipé. Parking gratuit sur place.

Could be closer to the beach 😁

Great host! Very helpful with almost everything we needed help this gentleman was always ready to help. He even drove us to the south cheaper than a taxi because taxis were quite expensive at that time. The apartment is very close to a nice beach (not pointe aux piments) which is suitable for kids because the water there is shalow and calm. Pointe aux piments public beach is a 10 min. walk (or less).

wifi was poor. It is on the main road which was very noisy during the first week of the year. The locals were driving with extremely loud music even at 2 am. And every evening and night there were fireworks (less and less every night)

Well situated near the beach, secure and calm environment. Very clean apartment with all amenities

The room was in a 2nd floor so we have to climb the stairs with our big luggage. The apartment was lacking some essentials like soap and towels, we have to wait until someone who was not on the premises cameras with the items.

Very close to the beach, incredible sunset view at the beach with just 1 min walking. The price is very affordable, being a villa very close to the beach. Had a really peaceful time watching the the stars in the balcony

a perfect location at a 1-2min walking distance from the beach and a small shop, and ~5min driving distance from bigger beaches and a supermarket, sea view from the balcony, own parking place, a very accommodating host (we had to reschedule arrival time twice and he made it possible)

the apartment and furniture are very basic and could use some minor repairs

Good location, not so busy like Great Bay, more quiet, but you have a supermarket not so far. Beach on the other side of the street. If you want a more populate Beach at great bay take the bus or walk. Bus 45 roupies not expensive

Garbage was not picked up regulary, bath towels where not changed

Appartement confortable, host social and friendly. A bit noissy on the balcony from the main road, but most of the time you are outside on the beach etc More quiet than Great Bay , can be more relaxing. Over all good place ho stay

The location was very good.

I didn't like how we didnt have dish washing soap, toilet cleaner liquid and toilet air freshener, we had to buy our own.

Location: close to the beach, shop next door, few nice restaurants at walking distance

Broken non-closing window in the bathroom, broken non-flushing toilet, sheets with stains, towels with stains, bad WiFi, dirty utensils, dirty kitchen appliances, used and dirty cleaning materials in the kitchen sink, non-working stove and hood, leftover soap from previous guests, leaking ceiling, old and discoloured aircon, old and dated appearance. Underaged kids do the online communication via the app with the customers, the young son (under 10) even took the keys when I checked out, not even the owner himself or another adult.

The apartment was bigger than I expected it to be. So, you have much space, an AC...a balcony... To get to the beach you simply need to cross the street and go 40 seconds and you can go into the water. The water is good for kids to swim but also simply to relax. Le Gourmet bar is alright to eat very nearby. Quick and easy communication with the owner via WhatsApp. I would definitely return if I'd come back to Mauritius and need to be in that region. There are busses stopping nearby - but anywhere in Mauritius it's much faster if you have a car.

It's clean in general - only a little suggestion to the owner is to paint the ceiling in the bathroom. Also to wash the bathroom carpet more often and the forgery in the kitchen.

Thank you Akshaye. I saw 1 review for Dodo on Booking.com and it was rated a 9 Superb, this is the reason we booked this Apartment. Great stay to get showered and lay your head. We had a kitchen, shower, comfy double bed, Air con, balcony everything you need. Max Store, next door for your needs. Not many restaurants here so good for only few days stay. Close to beach but not good for snorkelling. Balaclava is the best, short bus ride. Hope this helps 😊

Close to beach - but we love to snorkel and it wasnt very good for that.
