Better communication at check ou like a message the day before. I had booked from 27th to 31st July, I thought check out would happen on early morning on 1 August, however host called on the morning of 31st to note the cleaner is there and check out happens on 31st

Nothing to like when you book a place a month before your arrival and have it confirmed by booking.com. You arrive for work to walk into a place that is already occupied by someone else and then get told you have to leave. I do appreciate the owner/manager trying to offer us alternatives - but staying in one place for a night then moving to another place was just not an option at all as we were there for work and would have been in training all day.

The fact that a booking can be confirmed a month before arrival and then when you arrive to the property you are told to leave as the property is overbooked. I feel that booking.com needs to take more responsibility for this as it was super stressful being in Johannesburg without knowing where to go thereafter. We then needed to pay for very expensive phone calls to booking.com and find our own alternative accommodation which cost us more. This is totally unfair as it is not our fault. Booking.com did not assist in the process at all and we were placed on hold for over 15 minutes each time we called. Shocking service in my opinion.

The host was easy to get in touch with and when the apartment had no water, she bought and sent it to the apartment which we appreciated. She also moved us to a new unit which did have water. Both units we stayed at (not the unit in the picture) were clean and in order.

First off the property we booked (the one in the pictures) was not the one we stayed at. This unit was double booked so I was moved to another unit about 15-20 minutes away. I was already on the way to JHB so I agreed to another unit as I didn't have time to now look and rebook somewhere else. The new unit (Ascari Estate) was satisfactory and we were happy with it unfortunately there was no water in the entire area. Firstly, water issues are common in the area and the host should have confirmed the unit had water before moving us there. This is apparent due to the extra water kept in bottles and by asking around. So anyway, I asked to be moved to another unit the next day and we were moved to Jackals Creek in Honeydew which is another 20-25 minutes away. This unit was very very small. All in all, it wasn't close to what we booked neither what we paid for. When we arrived at the unit it was still being cleaned at around 2.30pm, this was fine with us as I presumed it was normal (earlier on we were told that the Ascari unit was still being cleaned when we wanted to check in). However, on our check out day, cleaner came in at 10am sharp and began cleaning despite us still packing our items. For all the inconvenience caused this was uncalled for. The cleaner could have waited for 15 minutes extra outside instead of insisting to start cleaning whilst we were changing.

Well... I think the owners of this place must check themselves in for a night or so and review the following. The kitchen dustbin lid is broken, there are no breakfasts plates to have your cerial in, The bath leaks between the bath and the toilet on the floor, the door handle in the spare bedroom cupboard is off, the down lights in the main bedroom DOES NOT WORK, the shower and bedroom lights are all on one switch, this is not clever. Why would you not have bead side lights next to your bed? When we checked in at 14h10 the lady cleaing was still busy so we had to wait another 20 mins for her to finish. This should have been done waybefore 14h00. At night because the complext in right next to a squatter camp the smoke from the squatter camp when you get out of your car is horrendous to say the least. They will never see me again.

Location was close to main centres in the area. The apartment was clean and offered everything we needed for our short stay.

Because the accommodation is in a complex, it was a little noisy. Only one room fan was working.

My friend and I enjoyed our short stay here. The apartment was clean and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and cosy.

The property had everything we needed for our stay. Very clean, comfortable and big enough for 3 people. Lovely kitchen facilities and cosy lounge area. Excellent Wifi and a nice TV with access to streaming. The host was great at communication and was accommodating. The beds were comfortable, we even had electric blankets for the colder nights. The 2 bedroom apartment is tastefully furnished and decorated. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, one with a ensuite bathroom with shower. The second bathroom has a nice big bath. There is also a guest bathroom downstairs. The patio from the living area leads onto a little garden. Very good value for money.

Beds were comfortable and the electric blankets were great since it was a really cold week when we were there.

Plug in the second bedroom didn’t work. No usb plugs. No hair dryer. A little bit of milk or milk pods would’ve been nice for our coffee the next morning. Side lamps in main bedroom don’t switch completely off during the night.

The place is very Clean and Well Maintained. Love it and real value for money.

Home away from home nice and clean

Exit and entry whenever you go out if you are not driving using Ubber it’s always a hustle to get the Ubber driver out sometimes the owner doesn’t answer the call and the security guard won’t open for any Ubber

The unit itself was designed beautifully and was clean and cozy apart from the garden being waterlogged it was definitely worth the money

1 or 2 of the security guards at the gate gave some of the delivery drivers a bit of a tough time entering and leaving but its eased out eventually.

I loved everything about a place, it is close to everything which meant we did worry about fuel. I wouldn't mind going back there.

The pictures don’t deceive you, it’s a lovely place with an even lovelier host. It was homey, close to Monte Casino, shopping centre, entertainment, restaurants and more.

We had to buy basics of spices and stuff for ingredients but other than that, we cannot complain.

The host for starters is so friendly and warm. The apartment is beautiful, well kept and sooo comfortable. Home away from home. The beds are comfortable and clean.

The blanket in the cupboard was not clean. Only downer.

This place really felt like a home away from home...beautifully decorated...the host was super accommodating...beds very comfortable...all in all our stay here was amazing...we will definitely be staying there again😊❤️
