ROOTS Tiny House

Complete accommodatie waar alles aanwezig is wat je nodig hebt. Lekkere plek op het balkon met avondzon. Vriendelijk personeel dat zeer behulpzaam is. Goede ligging tov station en centrum.

Het bed is hard en vooral hoog, lastig als je van geringe lengte bent. De badkamerdeur in TH18 kan niet van de binnenzijde worden gesloten. Ongemakkelijk als je het toilet gebruikt. De locatie is op dit moment het middelpunt van een bouwlocatie. Dit wordt vast een prachtplek als alles klaar is. Er waren koffie en thee faciliteiten aanwezig. Jammer genoeg ontbraken melk en suiker.

Het bed

The only nice thing was the balcony. The rest was not good.

The property is probably part of the contruction company. The keys are 1 km away. The bed is too small for 2 and very high; you need to climb. Not suitable for staying.

Zeer schoon en alles op loopafstand, het station,het centrum en 013 waar wij voor kwamen.

Er ligt een drukke weg recht voor het appartement. Het was warm dus we hadden de schuifpui in de nacht open vandaar dat we alles hoorde maar als de pui dicht is merk je daar niet veel van.

Door to the bathroom couldn't get closed from the inside. Needs a handle to pull it shut. Otherwise all fine!

The location was right next to the shuttle bus for Awakenings festival. It's also about a 10 minute walk to the Tilburg train station. It's close to many restaurants as well.

Check-in process: 1/5 You have to walk to the Hostel Roots building to pick up your key. That area is in the opposite direction from the Tiny House. Cleanliness: 1/5 The bed was made and the sheets were clean. We were provided with 2 bath towels, and that was it. Everything else was dirty. There was a pumpkin seed sitting in the sink and more on the floor. The microwave had grease and handprints all over it. The bottles of soap at both the bathroom sink and the kitchen sink had nasty, watered down soap. They didn't even refill it. The bathroom needs a deep clean. The hard floors were filthy. The furniture was dusty and the chairs felt dirty. I sent the team an email about this with pictures, and no one offered to come clean it for us. We were there for 3 days and had to just deal with it. Service: 0/5 Not clean, and no services were provided. They didn't come to clean or refresh the room or the towels, we had to walk to the Hostel to pick up more towels. Bathroom:0/5 Small, cramped, and completely useless except for a quick shower. There was only 1 shelf above the sink. No shelves in the shower. No hooks for towels. It was quite literally the bare minimum. Sink was very small. The shower did not have anything to keep the water from splashing out into the bathroom floors. The floors were either soaked or the towels on the floor would be soaked. The hot water would run out too. So if you're staying with 2 people, make sure you save some hot water for them. The bathroom door doesn't close all the way and there is no door handle. Functionality of space: 0/5 Absolutely zero thought was put into this space. Layout was inconvenient. Outlets were inconvenient. Storage space and countertop space was lacking. The bathroom door did not have a door handle so you can't close it. There is no A/C so if it's hot you have to open the balcony door. But if you do that, there is no privacy curtain.

Een nette studio (bovenverdieping) met goede faciliteiten. Het is een knus verblijf met balkon. Goede ligging, Spoorpark, station. Schoon, hygiënisch en netjes. We hebben afgetrapt met een koel trappisten bier van het huis 🍻

Door het ontbreken van airco loopt de temperatuur ontzettend hoog op in de ruimtes. Er zijn twee ventilatoren aanwezig. Die lagen verborgen in een kast. Die houden het nog een beetje draaglijk met de hitte die er nu is. En met de balkondeur open. De Tiny House is omringd door een bouwplaats. Dit staat nergens gemeld. We werden letterlijk het bed uit gedrild. Het bouwstof kwam ons binnen tegemoet. Ik vind dat de gast hiervan wel op de hoogte mag worden gebracht, mits je in het weekend verblijft, dan heb je denkelijk geluk. Gezien de prijs kwaliteit verhouding vind ik dit een essentieel aspect. Zonder deze minpunten kan ik ieder een verblijf in Tiny House aanraden. Een tip. Koffiemelk of poeder is ook wel lekker om in een kopje koffie te doen. Dat ontbrak 😉

Very modern, spacious and clean

No soap in bathroom, nobody told us about the construction works we had to find our way to the tiny house and Its a far walk with luggage to go get the key at the hostel and then walk to roots; would be better if it works with doorcodes instead of getting a key at a different location.

De ligging midden op wen bouwplaats. Sochtends vroeg bouwvakkers herrie. Dan is 160 euro voor één nacht echt veel te veel!!

Alleen het bed was aan de hoge hoogte voor iemand die hoogte vrees heeft ,ik heb op de bank geslapen indien mogelijk. Een eens persoons dekbed voor over je leggen

Heel net, gezellig Tiny House! De collega's zaten in een druk hotel nabij kerstmarkt of andere festiviteiten, ik heb lekker geslapen.

De ramen hebben een fantatisch uitzicht, jammer genoeg is de locatie minder. uitzicht op een grote weg. Wel dicht bij het station.

It’s just a hole. Doesn’t command the price they ask for. A double room in the hostel run by them will be a better value.

The room is dimly lighted. No privacy because the huge window is facing the Main Street and every passer by can see the whole unit. The plumbing got a problem so the unit is covered with the sewage smell. That was the reason why the previous occupier try to air the room and cause the strong wind to break the door.

We arriveerden ruim voor de check in tijd, maar werden uiterst vriendelijk ontvangen. En omdat we ook iets langer moesten wachten tot onze kamer klaar was, kregen we een drankje van het huis aangeboden.

Het Tiny Roots ligt gunstig ten opzichte van het centrum. Maar omdat er werkzaamheden rondom Tiny Roots gaande zijn, kan je niet langs de gewone weg bij het gebouw komen. Omdat de werkzaamheden al even gaande zijn, hadden ze bij het inchecken hiervan ook melding kunnen maken. Over de kamer zelf nog de volgende op/aanmerkingen: het lampje in de afzuigkap is kapot en daardoor heb je slecht zicht op het keukenblok. Ook staat er aantal leuke elektrische kaarsen, maar daarvan zijn de batterijen leeg. Bij de kamer zit koffie en thee inbegrepen, maar geen suiker en/of melk.

The tiny house was spotless, well located, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed. Although the tiny house is located near a fairly busy road, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was inside. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made my stay even more enjoyable. A perfect little getaway spot!

Nicely decorated, great location and just in general a very convenient place to stay. We had a minor issue with the towels which was immediately handled by the staff so great service

Bathroom door doesn't close properly, which has been an issue since we stayed here for the first time in the summer.

Location is great and the staff very accommodating! We have stayed here twice now and will definitely be back again.

The shower isn't closed off so a lot or water gets in the rest of the bathroom, but it's not a big issue at all

all in the room was dirty, and broken. Once I complained about it at the desk, they told me they will not refund me and that I have to contact booking,com all by all a bad experience, I check out the same day

The little house was so lovely. Cosy, exactly like photos and great location. We booked it to see a gig in and the venue was a ten minute walk away. Perfect walking access to everything in Tilburg. Collected keys from main hostel property which was about 15 mins walk away through train station. Staff were friendly and hostel itself seemed great. Clean, welcoming and fun. Thank you Roots!

Wasn’t an issue for us at all, but the tiny house is surrounded by building sites, there was no noise or issue while we were there.

The bed was too high and one of us had to sleep on the couch in order to not fall down from the bed.

A bit far from the check-in location to the home, It would be nice to have a self check-in at the tiny home.

Excellent and friendly service. Very quaint little room at the Tiny House, comfortable bed and very close to the train station and 013 venue.

One of the bathroom lights and another in the main room weren't working but there was still enough light (just a bit dim which we prefer anyways), and there was no handle for the bathroom door - just an uncomfortable hole in the wood you had to stick your finger in to pull it open.

The tiny house was clean and felt new. The bed was comfortable but one person gets the wall. The bed is elevated. I loved the little balcony.

There is no WIFI! The keys had to be picked up at a different location. which was not convenient. The house was pitch black and it looks like you were in the ghetto in the back. was at first not happy but once inside I changed my opinion. you have to walk up a skinny circular stairwell. but very private.

The house was super modern and pretty. Very well equipped regarding cutlery and crockery. They even provided essentials like cooking oil, salt, coffee, and tea. The location is also very accessible and the city centre is easily reachable on foot.

Since the house is directly next to a very busy street and the train tracks, it was quite loud during the night. Earplugs recommended!
