Reviewed Sep 10, 2026There is thoughtful attention to detail. Linda offered us to book in earlier even though she didn’t have to. The view and sunsets are beautiful. Of course one has to mention the four legged welcoming party Ben and Buks.
My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026Sea la vie is in a quiet area, near the sea. There are many winding paths and coastline to explore. There are also a variety of eating places relatively nearby. The room was cosy and warm and there were some extra touches that came with it. The bed was comfortable.
Can't think of anything I didn't like.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026A beautiful and peaceful location directly overlooking the bay. Linda's attention to detail and all the little extra's provided were so thoughtful and greatly appreciated. Ben, the little dog, is so cute and well behaved and we loved his little visits.
No plugs next to the beds for phone chargers or near the table if you need to plug in a laptop.

Reviewed Jan 25, 2026Gefallen hat uns einfach alles. Es war unser erster Besuch in Südafrika. Die Fahrt nach Jacobsbay vom Flughafen Kapstadt war unkompliziert. Der Linksverkehr ist für Kontinentaleuropäer etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig aber das hat uns ja die französische Revolution eingebrockt. Linda hat auf uns gewartet und uns den Parkplatz zugewiesen. Jacobsbay ist ein sicherer, ruhiger, wundervoller Ort direkt am Meer. Das Haus ist kamerabewacht und die Orts Community stark. Man fühlt sich immer und zu jederzeit sicher und willkommen. Linda hat uns sogar in die Kunst des Braai eingeführt. Und ihr Hund Ben hat Kultstatus. Es gibt selten Orte die man so gern wieder besuchen möchte, Jacobsbay bei Linda gehört auf jeden Fall dazu!

There is a delightful private covered seating area outside. The hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful. They have a small dog, which is very friendly. We particularly appreciated that the owner asked if we liked dogs - if not, she would ensure that it left us alone. And it did leave us alone, we neither saw nor heard it! Thank you

From a mini heater for the cold nights to keep the place warm all the way to small things to use around the house that most self-catering places don't tend to have. All in all, it was a wonderful place to stay at.

Everything you could possibly need for self-catering is provided. A generous supply of nice quality coffee, tea and milk even providing rusks and muesli. We are already planning to come back and stay for a week!
