A casa super equipada com camas confortáveis e banho muito bom. A anfitriã é muito simpática e solícita, tudo foi maravilhoso na hospedagem.

Semi busy road in residential area. Somewhat steep hill. Stepped in dog poop between the rental unit and parked car.

A bit far from the town center, but we had no problem at all since we had a car. The shower booth had tight space and the sink was small.

Reviewed Mar 20, 2026Die Anlage ist eigentlich sehr schön. Die Betreiberin ist super freundlich.
Wenn man mit Schimmel ein Problem hat, sollte man die Unterkunft leider nicht buchen. In Apartment 2 gab es anscheinend vor einigen Monaten einen Wasserschaden, wesswegen sich an der Wand zwischen Bad und Küche einiges an schwarzem Schimmel ausgebreitet hat. Wenn man eincheckt, merkt man den Geruch ursprünglich nicht wegen den Lufterfrischern, aber wenn deren Geruch abflaut, riecht man den beißenden Geruch vom Schimmel. Ich bin leider ziemlich sensitiv was Schimmel angeht. Meine Nase hat direkt beim einchecken angefangen zu laufen, aber ich habe dann erst später gecheckt wieso. Ich konnte zum Glück in der zweiten Nacht auf Apartment 1 wechseln. Das hat das Problem nicht.

Reviewed Mar 3, 2026La amabilidad y la ayuda brindadas por Mary fueron excelentes. Siempre estuvo atenta a responder a nuestras consultas, incluso mucho antes del viaje. Nos encantaron mucho las recomendaciones que nos dio sobre el servicio de transporte privado en El Calafate. Mary fue una excelente anfitriona.
La cabaña está un poco alejada del centro de la ciudad, aunque Mary nos había advertido con anticipación y nos dio sugerencias de servicios de taxi para movilizarnos. Tuvimos un pequeño problema con la cerradura de la puerta de la cabaña y después de comunicarnos con Mary la situación se resolvió en muy poco tiempo. La cabaña se sintió un poco pequeña para nuestra familia de cuatro, pero contaba con todo lo básico y necesario para nuestra estadía. Recomendaría agregar una secadora para complementar la lavadora de ropa que se encuentra en la cabaña.

It’s location, although close to the Main Street it requires you to walk uphill at least 1/4 mile or longer to get to the place, also a lot of loose dogs around the residential streets. I strongly suggest people to have a rental car available as we did.

Reviewed Apr 13, 2025Mary was a brilliant host. She proactively contacted us via WhatsApp with check-in details (early check-in, key safe, etc). The apartment has a lovely view of Lago Argentino, a 5 min drive from town, quiet and safe at night. Comfortable facilities, hot shower, heating in every room, good-sized kitchen, two bedrooms. Mary was always on hand and also helped with our laundry, which was so appreciated. Parking was fine for us but could be problematic if both cabins are full at the same time and both cabins have their own cars. The open area in the cabin is a dining room, not a living room (i.e., no sofa).

Reviewed Jan 28, 2024Mary was a great host and this is a wonderful little house with two bedrooms, a kitchen and a deck with sweeping views. Mary and her husband own these two cabanas which they are renting to be able to send their three sons to college in Buenos Aires. Off street parking, and a CLOTHES WASHER (which we needed by this point in our trip). Mary texted us the map location of a very nearby grocery store, and we were glad to be able to cook for ourselves after too many hotel meals. After a day of travels, we sat on the deck in the sun and watched the Ibis and other birds walk around the yard. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

It was a little far from things, but after hiking 30 miles in Patagonia, we were fine walking 15 mins to get into town.

Reviewed Nov 12, 2023beautiful view overlooking Lago Argentina. 2nd bedroom a plus for belongings. Grill and patio a great plus - we were able to have our first self-cooked meal in a month. Mary, the owner, is incredibly responsive, warm and kind.
We did not realize that it was a cab ride to the center of town, but still kind of nice to be away from the touristic center. We did have a problem with the water tank, but Mary assured us it was a one-off situation. She also drove us to a new place when we realized we booked her home one-day short.

Mary was the most perfect, kindest host and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible (even giving us a lift to the house the day that we arrived at Calafate). The house was super clean, smelled wonderful and had absolutely everything we needed, including the most amazing views of Lago Argentino. Thank you Mary, we so hope to come back one day! 😊
