Reviewed Sep 16, 2026Beautiful location over the lake. Feels very private and away from other rooms in guest house. Very cosy and modern. Good size fridge and freezer (perfect for food storage for our 4 day pre-hike food). Quiet. Access to Netflix. Spacious and comfortable room.
Toilet is very tight with door closed, but easy enough just to keep it open as it is tucked away.

I only spent there one night, but it's a perfect place for a longer stay. The hostess was very kind. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd happily return to The Ark Guesthouse at Marina Martinique.

We asked for activities around the area and we're told we would get them on our rival but when we got there she told to Google them . The picture are misleading because also we got a back room without balcony or views of water it's upstairs.

The estate features Cape Caribbean-inspired architecture, scenic waterways, abundant birdlife, and easy access to pristine beaches, making it ideal for boating, kayaking, fishing, and relaxing coastal living. Conveniently located just off the N2, it offers a peaceful holiday or residential setting while remaining close to Jeffreys Bay's shops, restaurants, and world-famous surfing beaches.
If tranquility, beautiful surroundings, and a relaxed ambience are what you're after, it's hard to fault Marina Martinique. I visited in early July, and the weather was fantastic, with sunsets that linger long in your memory. The only downside is that it's a quiet estate, so if you're looking for nightlife, shopping within walking distance, or a bustling holiday atmosphere, you may heve to venture about 4,7km to Jeffreys bay.

No refund or part of it. No way to retrieve a payment made when you cancel the accommodations within a short period of time.If you change your mind or feel unsafe, there is no way to get your funds back.

The location is a little out of the city and you have to move by car. Even to the restaurants close by due to lack of light at night.

Dit was heerlik om op die bed te lê en by die deur uit te lê en staar na die water, eende/ganse en mooi huise daar buite en saans is orals liggies wat brand en op die water weerkaats. Jul plek is baie goed in gerig en die dekor uit die boonste rakke. Sal beslis weer soontoe gaan. God bless 🙌❤️🙌

Reviewed May 11, 2026The Ark Guest House is an absolute gem! After a long road trip back from East London, walking into such a warm, welcoming atmosphere was exactly what we needed. The level of hospitality here is rare; the owner is incredibly lovely, super friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel instantly at ease. What truly sets this place apart is the incredible attention to detail. From the delicious biscuits and the thoughtful selection of books to the elegant glass carafe of sherry waiting on the table, every corner feels intentional and personal. It doesn’t feel like a standard rental; it feels like a curated sanctuary. The setting along the beautiful canals is stunning, and the decor is filled with personal touches that make you feel right at home. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We are already planning a much longer return trip soon and cannot recommend this beautiful spot highly enough. A perfect 10/10 stay.

Az egész lakópark őrzött, szuper biztonságos (ezért nem is volt egyszerű a bejutás, foglalás után kódot kapsz amivel beengednek az őrök). Még kajakot is kaptam, hogy kajakozhassak a lagunában. Gyönyörű idilli vízparti hely. Este jót sétáltunk a szép házak közötti parkokban. Az apartman tágas, ízléses. Süt belőle az angol elegancia. Kár, hogy csak egyet aludtunk ott. Feltétlen ezt válaszd, ha a környéken keresel szállást.
