The venue was easy to find and close to the Karoo National Park which we wanted to visit. It was quiet and comfortable. The hostess phoned well in advance to ensure that we have all the information. When we had to stay another day due, to the previous day being windy and unsuitable to visit the Park, she was very accomodating. The unit is spacious and comfortable. We quite liked the extra effort to have special coffee mugs with the logo on them;o)

The place was large, fit for a family with kids. Braai facilities, and amenities were generally good. Comfortable bed, Air-conditioner that was great in hot condition, and the DSTV channel selection was great.

If I may nit pick, I was not impressed with the lack of "simple kitchen" towels or even a paper towel! No mop or dishwashing soap even basic cleaning equipment was non-existent, especially for a Self-catering unit. Almost half of the Inventory items on their list were missing! Other than that, the place is lovely, I guess the hosts should manage the house keeping better. Lastly, It was my first time to experience a deduction of 50% of the total amount, yet I authorized & paid 100% upfront, and that caused so much drama and inconvenience with my banking. But I hope the hosts will consider 100% booking fee, upfront in the near future.

This is a place that I would recommend to anyone even if its only for one night. There is enough space for a family. Its clean and the owner was amazing.

The location was very easy to find. The property was very clean and we enjoyed it very much to stay there. We had contact with the owner and everything was fine.

The cat poo in the corner of the backyard, our puppies kept going there to scratch and eat it. Fine pepper on it would discourage the cats from going to poo there..

Great location and the unit is a beautiful old building

We stayed at the Splendid Village accommodation, which is stunning. The only downside was that the unit had a narrow staircase, which meant that we could not carry our suitcases up the stairs to the bedrooms. A slight inconvenience.

Location felt a bit dodgy. It was fine once you were inside the gates but I wouldnt have wanted to walk out the gates at night.

The accommodation exceeded my expectations. Safe and quiet place. Self check -in is very convenient, really appreciated.Home away from home with everything you need. You just need to bring your groceries and the rest is available. I highly recommend this place to family and friends who will need a stopover to and from Cape town. Had a great stay at De Hoek Selfsorg Eenhede in Beaufort West, the place was very spacious, clean, and had a quiet, comfortable vibe. The beds and pillows were honestly top quality, perfect after a long trip, and check-in was super easy. Definitely great value for money and I’d absolutely recommend it.

La experiencia fue muy negativa desde el primer momento. La caja de llaves está extremadamente escondida dentro de una caja blanca con un logo de electricidad, algo totalmente poco intuitivo y sin ninguna indicación clara para los huéspedes. Tras no encontrarla, tuvimos que escribir a la dueña. Nos dijo que venía, pero cuando llegó lo hizo con una actitud muy desagradable y de mala gana. Sin mediar palabra, arrancó la tapa de la caja de forma brusca, introdujo el código y se marchó inmediatamente, sin dar ninguna explicación, sin disculparse y sin el más mínimo gesto de educación o bienvenida. El trato fue completamente inapropiado y poco profesional. La sensación fue de incomodidad total. No recomendaría este alojamiento si se espera un mínimo de atención al cliente y respeto hacia los huéspedes.

The property was very well presented, modern and beautifully furnished. Very clean and much more that we expected. Excellent value for money. The location was excellent. We only used it as a stay-over for the drive from Joburg to Cape Town which will definitely use in future. But next time we will stay longer in this very comfortable unit and take some time to explore the surrounds a bit. The owners were super friendly and accessible to help. The unit 2 that we stayed in was perfect for our traveling group. Kitchen, lounge and bedrooms were 100%, however the bathroom is due a revamp.

Affordability and comfort, beds were very clean and comfortable.

Our second visit, and again very clean, spacious, omfortable and in a quiet area. Beautifully decorated with an aircon, and we particularly like that it has parking for 2 vehicles behind a security gate, so very safe.

There were previous visitors'leftover food in the fridge. Upon inspecting the beds we found the linen on all the beds were dirty (sweat stain) seems like linen were not replaced The double bed linen and mattress protector had stains 🤢 The sink in the kitchen was dirty. The shower was filthy with soap scum and hairs🤢, which indicates it was not cleaned after the previous guests checked out.

Cleanliness, we'll equipped with everything you need. Beautiful place, will definitely be back.
