Absolutely exceptional! We loved staying here, and the manager and family at the guest house really made our stay fantastic. They couldn’t do enough for us - we were dropped off and picked up from the Great Wall to the hotel which helped to save time and energy and was a really nice bonus. The food was incredible, and was included in the price. We really enjoyed the home cooked meals, and it was great to try some different dishes. Location was brilliant because you actually stay within the park, so it’s very quiet and so close to the cable car and chairlift entrances. And being able to arrive at the wall so early meant that we had the section almost to ourselves which was a once in a lifetime experience. The room was well thought out and had every feature you would need, and there are lots of drinks and even coffee you can buy in the communal lounge. Stay here for the BEST experience in China - you will not regret it!

This is a lovely guesthouse run by a wonderful family. They were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. You can really feel how much they care about every little detail and about making their guests feel at home. They even waited for our late-evening arrival with a delicious homemade meal, which was such a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was excellent too! The owner drove us to the Great Wall and helped us book our tickets for the visit. He also offers a transfer service to Beijing at a very fair and reasonable price. He speaks some English as well, which was extremely helpful and quite rare during our trip in China! The location is perfect, only about a 2-minute drive from the Great Wall. Our room was very spacious, the bed was comfortable, and it was very quiet at night. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay near the Great Wall, with fair prices and excellent value for money. You have everything you need right there, so there’s really no need to stay in the town center. We will definitely recommend this little gem to all our friends planning a trip to Mutianyu, especially those who want to get an early start at the Great Wall!

The hosts were incredible. The hotel is a 2-minute drive away from the cable car and they would drive us there and back whenever we needed on super short notice. The food was home made and really good. Unbeatable value for money, honestly.

De eigenaar is FANTASTISCH! Extreem vrolijk, vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Hij zit een paar minuutjes rijden van de ingang cable car en hij brengt en haalt je daar op. Je hoeft hem maar een berichtje te sturen en hij staat er! Hij regelt ook alle kaartjes! Het is sowieso al een fijn verblijf maar hij maakt het compleet! Je hoeft je echt nergens zorgen om te maken! Zijn familie ook heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam en maken lekker eten en ontbijt.

Disponibile in tutto,ci ha procurato i biglietti per la muraglia, ci ha accompagnato gratuitamente e la cena e la colazione sono state veramente molto buone, come essere in famiglia perché cucina la mamma. Anche le stanze pulite, fornite di tutti i confort necessari affinché il soggiorno sia piacevole. La zona è molto tranquilla e si trova a 10 minuti a piedi dall’entrata del parco della muraglia, ma non preoccupatevi lui ci tiene moltissimo ad accompagnarvi ed essere disponibile per voi. This was an exceptional place to stay. Everyone in the host family was exceptional and was interested in making it a great experience for me and my wife. From the family cooking authentic dinners and breakfast to them driving us to the Great Wall Entrance and airport. The drive to the airport was an additional charge, but they didn't just drop us off at the door, they went above and beyond to park and walk us to the correct security checkpoint. Being so close to the Great Wall, we were able to get on to the wall before the huge crowds started to show making that a more enjoyable experience. By the time we were done, there were two-hour lines. We normally stick with the big chains of hotels but are so glad we went with a place that gave a more authentic experience. I would recommend this location to any family or friends traveling. One thing to note is that the location is past the visitor's center entrance and your taxi/Didi driver will need you to contact the family to be allowed to pass. But after we did this, the host was waiting up the road about a mile to guide the driver in.

Il proprietario ci ha accompagnato all’ingresso della grande muraglia ed è tornato a riprenderci, un servizio che abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo. Davvero una bella ospitalità, complimenti!

Great location near the entrance to the Great Wall. It’s a family-run homestay with friendly and helpful hosts. Great value for money as breakfast and dinner are included in the price. We loved their adorable and friendly cat 🐈‍⬛

The breakfast was a little small (1 fried egg and homemade bread). Could be a bit cleaner but all in all everything was great.

Comme nous étions à pékin juste avant, il est venu nous chercher à notre hotel à pekin et nous a ramené à la gare de pékin pour qu’on puisse prendre notre train pour Xi'an. C’est très agreable et tres confortable surtout que nous voyageons en famille (2 adultes / 2 enfants). Nous avons préfèré dormir à proximité du site pour pouvoir aller 2 fois sur la muraille : le 1er jour à notre arrivée en milieu d’aprem et faire la fermeture car le soir il n’ya plus personne et nous avons eu la muraille pour nous seuls et le 2eme jour tôt le matin et y rester la matinée pour profiter également avant la foule et à chaque fois nous avons pu compter sur nos hôtes qui nous ont conduit aller/retour.

The host Mr. Yang was very friendly and resourceful. He gave us some great advice about visiting the Great Wall, and he helped us to book tickets. He also gave us a ride to and back from the entrance. The free breakfast and dinner were a big bonus.

The shower in our room was hard to adjust temperature.

The hosts were very kind! They even stayed up to let us have a late check in around midnight. They also drove us from the homestay to the wall and back and even allowed us to have a shower in the afternoon despite us checking out that morning!

This place is so well located... and the family that owns it even drove me off to the Great Wall entrance and picked me up for free. The lady gave me free meals, was so kind. She washed my clothes for free. Upgraded my room for free. It was just so amazing. I felt like I was part of the family. If you go to Mutianyu, you need to stay there.

The property was nice and the family that owes the property are wonderful. They waited up for me when I arrived at 10pm. They made me dinner and breakfast which was so nice. I highly recommend this place if you are hoping to see the great walk. Stay here the night before and they will take you to the wall

Nothing I did not like, however be aware that it’s expensive to have them pick you up from the airport. My data was not working when I arrived and I had no other option. I paid $120 one way and then $120 again on the way back to the airport.

Had a wonderful stay here! The house is located in the wall of China village with is very scenic, the family were very friendly and drove us to the wall gates and also supported us getting taxis upon leaving. The food was amazing, having both cooked breakfast and dinner, authentic and delicious. Would definitely recommend this stay for anyone going to the area.

We booked this homestay based on the positive reviews we had read. While we had four fantastic days in Mutianyu, especially the two days spent on the Great Wall, which were absolutely brilliant, there are some aspects of our stay that, after reflecting on them for several weeks, we feel should be mentioned in this review. What We Liked - The family were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. - As vegetarians, we found the food to be both good and plentiful. - The complimentary lift to the bus station was greatly appreciated and very convenient. - The location is excellent, being very close to the Great Wall.

What Could Be Improved - The bathroom (wet room) was disappointing. Taking a shower left the entire room wet, and it never properly dried out. It also appeared to need a thorough clean and, in our view, would benefit from a complete renovation. Please see the attached photos. - As is common in some areas, guests were asked to place used toilet paper in the bin beside the toilet. We did so, but the bin was not emptied during our 4 day stay. As a result, it became wet from the shower and increasingly unpleasant. - Noise from other guests was a significant issue. There was frequent shouting and screaming late into the evening over several hours, to the extent that we felt compelled to make a complaint. - The airport transfer service was convenient, but the price was considerably higher than comparable Didi fares, approximately two to three times the cost. - Coffee at breakfast incurred an additional charge, whereas tea was provided free of charge upon request. - Although there was a kettle in the room, no cups, tea, coffee, or other refreshments were provided, which made the kettle of no practical use.

Siamo stati accolti a casa di questa famiglia dove abbiamo conosciuto un host simpaticissimo e i suoi genitori. La struttura oltre alla camere offre anche la cena e la colazione stile cinese autentico cucinate direttamente dalla mamma. I migliori pasti fatti in Cina. Inoltre ti accompagnano (andata e ritorno) fino all'ingresso della muraglia cinese.

Full, personal, exceptional service. I visited for two days and nights to attend a nearby wedding. Manager Yang and his father personally drove me to and from the wedding events throughout the weekend, amounting to four drop offs from the hotel and four pickups back to the hotel, at any time that I needed. This was immediately offered to me for free, and I did not expect or request it. Personalized breakfasts were provided at the time of my request. Truly the best that the Chinese countryside has to offer!

This place is about 2 minutes away from the great wall Mutianyu entry. For a little additional price the host took care of our transportation to and from the great wall, and also bought tickets for us. The food was good too. It was a really good experience.

Property had a fantastic location, really close to the wall. The hotel owners were really helpful and nothing was too big of an ask. They were happy to pick us up and drop us back to Daxing airport the next morning all in time for our 19hr layover. They had prepared a really lovely meal for us for when we arrived and breakfast for first thing the next morning. They were able to sort our tickets for the Great Wall and then drop us there in the morning aswell. Made what could have been quite a stressful layover into something really easy with nothing to worry about. The room was huge with a great shower and a friendly little cat that visited us!

The hospitality at this guesthouse is amazing and the facilities are top quality. All is clean and neat. From the time of booking there has been excellent communication. The food served is delicious home-cooked Chinese. Some of the best food I have had in China. The guesthouse is close to Great Wall Entrance. A comfortable and reasonably priced transport service was supplied. I will certainly highly recommend this guesthouse and plan to visit again.

Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir wurden direkt zur Ticket Station der Mauer gefahren ohne Aufpreis. Wir haben Abendessen und Frühstück, das war lecker. Zeitlich könnten wir es uns flexibel legen.

Die Betten waren sehr hart. An der Sauberkeit könnte etwas gearbeitet werden war aber alles in allem okay.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly polite, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed, which made our stay especially enjoyable. The food was outstanding. Dinner is prepared individually for each guest, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from — you definitely won’t leave hungry! Breakfast was also delicious, with a warm, homemade feel. The location is very convenient. For just 15–17 yuan, you can easily reach the cable car to the Great Wall or get to a nearby village where a well-equipped hiking trail begins. We really loved our stay and think it’s a perfect place for a one-night stop. Just keep in mind that this is a village hotel, so it’s best not to expect the same level of infrastructure as in Beijing.

I missed the opportunity of going to China due to my passport not being valid. I booked this accommodation for my companies Executives. Their feedback was exceptional, all 3 instructed me to give this establishment a 10 out of 10 all round. Fue una estadía grandiosa, un hospedaje atendido por la familia, demasiado amistosos y amables, comida tradicional China deliciosa y abundante hecha al momento, el dueño nos movilizo hacia la muralla y luego nos fue a buscar, la habitacion estaba muy comoda, limpia y con una vista increible, al día siguiente nos organizo un tour y luego nos llevo al aeropuerto, por un valor bastante bueno considerando que fue casi todo el día, definitivamente la recomiendo, ubicación excepcional.

The stay exceeded expectations. The host and his family were incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout. We were kindly upgraded to a larger room, which was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was fresh and delicious. What really stood out was how smoothly everything was arranged for us—from airport pickup and drop-off to organizing Great Wall tickets. They even drove us to the entrance early in the morning, which made the whole experience effortless. Thank you!

Dad Hotel liegt perfekt um den Mutianyu Abschnitt der Großen Mauer zu besuchen. Die Familie hilft dabei die Eintrittskarten zu erhalten (egal ob man zu Fuß, per Gondel oder sonst die Mauer erkunden mag) und freien Transport hin- und zurück von dem Eingangsbereich. Im Zimmerpreis sind Frühstück und Abendessen inbegriffen und es schmeckt sehr lecker. Unser Zimmer, war sauber, hatte bequemes Bett und warmes Wasser im Bad.

Monsieur Yang Feng Rui a été d’une extrême gentillesse et générosité. Il est venu nous chercher à PEK pour nous accompagner jusqu’à la muraille. Son établissement est très bien situé et au calme. Le café est bon et le petit déjeuner chinois est fait maison. Nous sommes ravis d’avoir pu partager ce moment avec des hôtes serviables et sympathiques. Merci pour cet accueil.

La literie est un peu dure pour nous les occidentaux mais pour une nuit c’est tout à fait faisable.
