Se trata de casa de alquiler por habitaciones, no de un hotel. Edificio de caracter historico, para lo bueno y para lo malo.

Це не просто готель — це місце, яке хочеться фотографувати буквально на кожному кроці. Solar de Alarcão став для нас одним із найбільш незвичайних і душевних місць за всю подорож. Сам будинок історичний, зі своєю багатовіковою атмосферою: товсті гранітні стіни, кам’яні дверні прорізи, дерев’яні стелі, старовинні меблі та предмети побуту. При цьому всередині все дуже гарно облаштовано й доглянуто. Старовина тут чудово поєднується з новим і сучасним. Номер комфортний, ванна кімната абсолютно сучасна, все чисте й продумане. Інтер’єри настільки цікаві, що в цьому готелі постійно хочеться щось фотографувати або знімати на відео — кожна кімната, коридор чи маленька деталь має свій характер. Сніданок достатньо добрий: є все необхідне, випічка, хліб, фрукти, йогурти та інші продукти. Особливо приємно снідати не у звичайному безликому ресторані, а в затишній кімнаті старого будинку. Але найбільше мене вразив навіть не сам будинок, а прийом його власників. Вранці господиня зустріла мене так тепло, ніби я була не гостем готелю, а її близькою родичкою. Вона одразу запитала, чи добре ми спали, чи нам було комфортно, чи все сподобалося. Це було настільки щиро й природно, що в мене виникло дивне і дуже приємне відчуття — ніби я не переночувала в готелі, а повернулася додому після багатьох років відсутності. Такого ставлення не створиш дорогими меблями чи кількістю зірок. Саме люди роблять це місце особливим. І ще величезний плюс — розташування: саме серце історичної Guarda, буквально поруч із Sé da Guarda. Виходиш із будинку — і вже знаходишся серед старих вулиць та головних пам’яток міста. Solar de Alarcão — це місце з душею. Якщо колись знову будемо в Guarda, я навіть не шукатиму іншого готелю. Із задоволенням повернуся сюди. ❤️🇵🇹

Small boutique hotel right in heart of old town. Perfect room with new modern bathroom. Staff were excellent and breakfast was plentiful parking on site was just what you needed because it can get a bit crowded.

L emplacement au centre proche de la cathédrale avec facilité de stationnement. La dame de l accueil charmante aimable dévouée qui se plaît en quatre pour vous etre agréable. Les chambres propres confortables. Pas un bruit. Le petit déjeuner copieux et varié avec des confitures maison.

O espaço é rústico e muito acolhedor. Tem um espaço exterior muito bonito com árvores de fruto e várias zonas de estar muito sossegado.

La ubicación, junto a la catedral, es inmejorable. Edificio histórico, hermosísimo y lleno de detalles artísticos y de belleza. Muy tranquilo, no se oye ningún ruido. La atención es personalizada y la dueña es encantadora y muy amable. El desayuno nos pareció muy bueno y completo. Alojamiento muy recomendable.

The apartment was centrally located in Guarda with everything within easy walking distance. A few stairs to negotiate with to get to the door but it is pretty easy climb . Once in , don’t forget to push intercom at top of stairs to summon owners . Rooms are good size and really clean . We didn’t speak Portuguese and owner didn’t speak English but we got by. All the staff were super friendly and patient . Breakfast was a good continental cannot complain. Highly recommend this hotel

La ubicación, y el personal. Sobre todo la señora que nos atendió en el desayuno. El jardín trasero tiene unas vistas estupendas, y es muy acogedor en días de calor, con mucha sombra.

We were met by the host and they accommodated our needs by putting our small cooler in the refrigerator over night. The garden was awesome and the building sits at a high point of Guarda, so the views were great! They even served us the huge breakfast early so we could get on the road. Really well done historic building in great location in Guarda with wonderful services!

Está limpio, la cama es cómoda, está todo nuevo, el desayuno no es un buffet de hotel, pero para un desayuno normal es más que suficiente.

Las escaleras. No tiene ascensor y las escaleras son de piedra y muy altas entre escalón y escalón. Para una persona que no pueda coger peso de maletas o tenga algún problema en las piernas, se hace complicada. A lo mejor lo dice en la web, pero yo no lo vi. Que la dueña le quitara importancia entre risas y nos dijera que subiéramos cada maleta entre "marido y mujer", pujando cada uno por un lado.

Nos gustó mucho la ubicación frente a la catedral, la posibilidad de aparcar cómodamente, el edificio histórico en el que se sitúa el hotel y la amabilidad de la dueña de la casa, simpatiquísima, un encanto de mujer. El desayuno también estaba bien

Tubimos que reclamar limpieza en el baño, el inodoro estaba completamente sucio, de algún puerco alojado con anterioridad

Ce n'est pas un hôtel, mais une maison noble ancienne en pierre, restaurée et dotée (discrètement) de tout le confort. Quelques chambres seulement. Une dame très chaleureuse vous installe comme des invités. Salle de bains, climatisation, parking dans la cour, table en terrasse ou sous le figuier du petit jardin (où somnolent 2 chats discrets). Petit déjeuner abondant en produits locaux (fromages, confitures, fruits frais...) dans une fraîche salle meublée à l'ancienne, entre 9 h et 10 h 30. Cathédrale à 2 pas, terrasses sans façon, restaurants, un petit centre ville animé. Pour le prix, une expérience rare!

Loger dans un monument historique a ses limites: il faut hisser ses bagages par un superbe escalier de pierre de 10 marches environ, mais on ne le regrette pas. La propriétaire si accueillante parle abondamment en portugais, et comprend l'espagnol, mais on arrive à dialoguer :-)

Me sentí trasladado en el tiempo a principios del siglo pasado, pero con las comodidades de ahora.

Commentaire Booking Très bel établissement, décoré avec beaucoup de charme dans le style typique des maisons traditionnelles. Elena nous a accueillis avec énormément de gentillesse et un sourire radieux, ce qui a immédiatement rendu notre séjour très agréable. La chambre est confortable, climatisée, et dispose d’une salle de bain moderne et toute neuve avec une belle douche. Le petit-déjeuner est varié et délicieux, avec de nombreux gâteaux faits maison, de la charcuterie, des fruits frais et même du yaourt maison. Il est servi à 9h00. L’établissement possède également une très jolie terrasse où il est agréable de se poser, avec une belle vue sur la ville. Petit plus très appréciable, la cathédrale se trouve juste en face ! Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement, non seulement pour sa qualité et son charme, mais surtout pour l’immense gentillesse et l’accueil chaleureux d’Elena. Une très belle rencontre et un excellent séjour !

Nada, pero es necesario tener en cuenta que para entrar en el hotel existen escaleras.

Das Solar de Alarcao hat - bis auf das Alter vielleicht - nichts mit den bekannten Solares in Portugal zu tun. Diese sind historische Gebäude, meist aus dem 17. und 18. Jahrhundert, die einst von den reichsten und angesehensten Familien Portugals erbaut und bewohnt wurden. Jedes dieser einzigartigen Häuser wurde sorgfältig restauriert, um den ursprünglichen Charakter zu bewahren. Dies trifft auf das Solar de Alarcao nur bedingt zu. Zugegeben, seine zentrale Lage hinter der gotischen Kathedrale von Guardia ist toll und man kann das Städtchen gut zu Fuß erkunden. Aber es ist ein Bed & Breakfast in einem alten Herrenhaus, in dem die Dame des Hauses auch privat einen Trakt bewohnt. Google Maps hat es nicht gefunden, wir sind mehrere Mal daran vorbeigefahren, und man erkennt das Solar erst dann, wenn man direkt vor ihm steht. Die Inneneinrichtung voller Antiquitäten hat einen musealen Charakter und es gibt einen kleinen Salon mit TV, der nicht zum Aufhalten einlädt. Zimmer und Bad sind sauber, auch das Frühstück punktet mit wenigen, dafür frischen, lokalen Produkten. Der Frühstücksraum befindet sich in einem mittelalterlich anmutenden, renovierten Raum und ist ebenerdig zugänglich. Öffentliche Gratis-Parkplätze befinden sich gleich außerhalb des Solar-Hofes, zudem gibt es innerhalb des Hofes weitere Parkmöglichkeiten.

Das größte Problem ist der nicht barrierefreie Zugang zum Eingang der Unterkunft. Dieser befindet sich in der ersten Etage des Hauses, die nur über eine steile Steintreppe mit 14 hohen Stufen erreicht werden kann. Mobil eingeschränkte Menschen haben keine Möglichkeit, in den Übernachtungsbereich zu gelangen. Es gibt keinen Aufzug, auch keine Rezeption. Man klingelt und irgendwann öffnet einem die Hausdame, die nur portugiesisch spricht. Die Angaben in der Beschreibung der Unterkunft, dass noch drei weitere Sprachen gesprochen würden, sind falsch. Auch die genannten kostenfreien Pflegeprodukte im Zimmer sind nicht vorhanden, nur Seifenspender am Waschbecken und in der Dusche. Unser Zimmer (Nr. 1) hat ein Fenster zum Garten. Es ist allerdings komplett zugewachsen, so dass es im Raum sehr dunkel und der Garten nur zu erahnen ist. Insgesamt ein eher enttäuschender Aufenthalt.

Het is een wat gedateerde accomodatie. Klassiek ingericht, maar toch enigszins vergane glorie. Ontbijt is ook niet zo van deze tijd, oud en taai brood, geen eitje en geen echte jus d'orange. Wel eigengemaakte confiture Voor Guarda hoef je niet te gaan, niet bijzonder. Heb je snel gezien.

You feel like in a private, very comfortable home. The breakfast is excellent. Parking is easy. It’s perfectly clean. We enjoyed the three nights we stayed here a lot.

Por poner algún punto negativo, mala accesibilidad. Pero eso es normal en una casa de hace dos siglos que aunque haya tenido una buena rehabilitación, es imposible adaptarlo a los estándares de accesibilidad del siglo xxi.

Welcoming and friendly host. The room was clean. The air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was comfortable. The hotel is a beautiful historic building in the city center, with a great location. The breakfast was also nice.

Pension in einem wundervollen Anwesen. Äusserst freundliche Gastgeberin. Liegt ganz oben im Ort direkt neben der großen Kirche. Absolut ruhige Lage. Parkplatz im Hof. Bars und gute kleine Restaurants ganz in der Nähe.

It was a perfect location right next to the Cathedral. Lots of old world charm. The host and staff were very kind and sweet. The breakfast was light but perfect for us. The place is curated with antique, period-appropriate furniture. The bathroom was modern, though. Parking was easy.

It was a bit confusing where the reception area was. Better signage would be helpful. There are some steep stairs up to the entry, so if you have large bags or mobility issues it might be a problem. We were fine with our smaller bags.

Sehr herzlicher Empfang durch die liebenswürdige Gastgeberin. Sie spricht nur portugiesisch, aber irgendwie versteht man sich trorzdem. Die Unterkunft ist ein altes Herrenhaus. Entsprechend möbiliert, man fühlt sich in der Geschichte zurückversetzt. Ein gepflegtet Garten lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Bett war bequem und das Badezimmer top modern. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig. Gratisparkplatz im Innenhof. Top Lage, gleich neben der Kathedrale.

Desayuno muy completo, atención del personal excelente, ubicación inmejorable (detrás de la catedral), aparcamiento en un patio del recinto al aire libre, el hotel es un edificio solariego, antiguo (¿siglo XVII?)- La decoración nos encanto.

Por poner alguna pega, estuvimos en un primer piso pero no había ascensor. y en la habitación solo había un enchufe. No fue importante ni determinante porque estuvimos muy bien.

Want a historic experience and one of comfort? Look no further. The location is beyond perfect right in the heart of the historic district. Step just outside from your beautiful, immaculate, cared for accom, walkable to pasterlerias, tourist office who were indeed so helpful, a photographers delight just meander through the awe inspiring streets and see views to Spain! The hosts were joyful and ever so warm, you can see they focus on quality, and kindness, their restaurant recommendation of Belo Horizonte was Perfection! The building and our room transported us back in time. Their breakfast was perfection, leaving and reentering the building any time was as effortless as check in and check out was. We were thrilled about staying here we loved it, it all amounted to giving us such a taste of history. I felt honoured to have the whole experience. Thank you for having us!

Nothing could be faulted here. If you have anything bad to say about staying at this gem run by such beautiful people, it's time you got a dose of reality and appreciation of perfection.

Gostamos mesmo muito da nossa estadia, fomos recebidos pela Dona Helena que nos deixou completamente à vontade em casa. Um espaço muito bonito, requintado, com muito bom gosto. O quarto era muito bom, com uma namoradeira na casa de banho para manter a recuperação original :) A cama era excelente, muito confortável. Gostamos muito do pequeno almoço, com pão caseiro e requeijão de ovelha, estava tudo uma maravilha. Não há palavras para descrever o carinho da anfitriã que demonstrou sempre em todos os momentos onde houve interação, sempre com vontade em agradar. Um bem haja.

This was in our view five star quality. It was so beautifully finished and so clean. We were so well looked after, too. It is impossible to exaggerate how exceptional Solar De Alarcao is. We highly recommend it. Superb.
