Farm Stay Happy Dogs Ranch

Dit was de tweede keer bij Kurt en Lis en het was werkelijk weer fantastisch: prachtige omgeving, super lieve mensen die ons echt super geholpen hebben toen onze auto kapot ging. Lieve dieren, prachtige omgeving. Kurt en Lis: super bedankt voor de fantastische vakantie!

Stayed for one week in the nest (small cabin near the barn) and what an outstanding week it was. My primary goal was birdwatching on the lakes nearby but the actual stay itself ended up being the most pleasant part. There are 3 dogs each with its own character, 2 llamas, sheep and chicken. You can join the farm owner to walk the dogs or to feed the sheep if you want to, or you can just take you rime and relax in the forest cabin with panoramic window, near the small lake with ducks or by roaming nearby forests with roe deers. There is a small town nearby for groceries and couple of places to eat. Owners themselves are charming and very sociable, it was a real pleasure. Overall-highly recommended.

Still close to towns and shops, but it feels remote and peacefull. The owners are very friendly and helpfull.

Świetne miejsce do wypoczynku i odcięcia się od cywilizacji. Super farma ze zwierzetami, sauna i pokojem do wyciszenia. Idealna baza pod wycieczki rowerowe. A przede wszystkim wspaniali gospodarze!

We had the best time in the cabin, with the nature and with the animals. It sure is the most beautiful place to be during fall with all it’s colours and trails. The sauna were so nice and we really felt welcomed by our hosts (and their sweet pets) Thank you again for our lovely days spent here. Worth a stay if you love social and sweet animals🍂

Fantastisk natur, omgivelser, værter og dyr

The owners are super nice people, they gave me a tour around when I arrived. What I most liked is the close contact with the nature, there is a lake, a sauna by the lake, a meditation room, there are many different animals, the dogs come and greet you every time you arrive, when it rains you can hear the relaxing sound of rain, it is simply lovely. The place I stayed had everything I needed, it is spaceous, has a nice and equiped kitchen, big living room, there are many beds so if you are a big group you can for sure stay there.

For me the only not so ideal point is that the appartment was upstairs and the bathroom was downstairs. If you have difficulty of mobility you may need to check their other cabin(s), which I think is fully ground floor.

We kregen bij aankomst een warme ontvangst. We voelden ons meteen heel welkom. De hosts zijn heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Het is een heel mooi domein, uitgestrekt, heel rustig gelegen. Veel leuke plekjes om te zitten en te rusten. Goede ligging.

Wij verbleven in de studio. Dit was een zeer kleine studio, die vlak tegen de stal lag, met een groot raam ertussen zodat je kon binnenkijken in de stal. Een verrassing toen we aankwamen. Op zich vonden wij dit nog wel lollig, maar dit moest duidelijker beschreven zijn bij het boeken. Alles wat je nodig hebt om te overleven was aanwezig in de studio, maar er waren wel wat mankementen. De eerste avond was het warm water van de douche na 2 minuten op. Het bed staat vlak naast het fornuis. De frigo maakt veel lawaai 's nachts dus deze moesten we uittrekken. Ook de afzuiging van de badkamer blijft lang ronken. Ik zou er opnieuw verblijven, maar niet meer in de studio. De huisjes leken me beter in orde.

The house has everything you need, very cozy, big and comfortable. It’s surrounded by forests so we could walk around. The most fascinating part was to walk with dogs and feed animals. Sauna is a big plus! Lis and Lurt are best hosts! Thank you so much! We are definitely will come back.

We really enjoyed staying at the ranch. It's an amazing place in the middle of the nature where you are always sorrounded by animals. The owners have really created a peaceful and enjoyable athomsphere. They were super kind, they cooked delicious dinner on the grill and we also joined them during the morning walks with the dogs in the forest. The quiet room is a great idea to have a calm place to meditate, relax or read just in the middle of the woods. Perfect place if you love nature and peacefullness, really reccomended!

It was incredible experience to live at the farm in a forest, to feed animals and have hiking with dogs and owners. The owners a very welcoming and supportive.

The location and the place were we stayed were perfect for a weekend with friends away from the city. The hosts were helpful and very welcome ☺️

A little tight for a family of six

If you like the natural way with animals and nature around you it’s a perfekt location. The dogs and chickens will greet you in the morning. Keep in mind it’s a farm house with free living farm animals and it’s located directly by the woods so don’t expect a golden bathroom if you know what I mean.

Very nice owners and a lovely place!

It was super cozy! Its simple but that was part of the charm, living peacefully among the animals with minimal stuff. They have allot of different animals that all live together. The 3 Dogs were super friendly and visited us on many occasions, and we loved it! The hosts were extremely friendly and super chill.

There was nothing that we didn’t like but some extra storage spaces could have been useful. Maybe some extra cabinets or shelves on the wall.

This location is extraordinary! We've booked the hut for 4 persons and did not know what to expect. When arriving, lis was already waiting for us. After a small tour around their facility we've entered our little house. Located in the woods with a nice view over the lake. In front a fire place which we used all days for bbq and grilling marshmellows. The house was the only one in that forest and it was very quiet! Really relaxing waking up between the birds and squirrels, or afterwards between the sheep and lamas :-) The relaxing hut is very nice. Big windows with views directly in the opposite national park. Lis and Kurt are very friendly people! They are available and around, but not pushing and giving us place enough to be on our own. It was nice chatting with them... We also went walking with the dogs and Lis in the national park. Very great experience and Lis explained a lot about living in Sweden. Oh yeah, our kids loved the dogs and are still talking about them... Hope to be back soon!

What a nice place to stay! Our little Apartment is next to the sheep and lama stable. We can see each other sleep,eat and do whatever, crazy! The Forest was magical and the lake perfect to chill and have a talk to the ducks ;D. Maybe you have luck and see deers in the morning. If you are a dog lover, go and take a hug from Charlie and play with him and the other dogs. The host is very nice and easy to reach if you want something. You don't need a alarm clock, they have also chickens :D

The shower without a shower cubicle was a bit impractical, because the water didn't drain very well and you couldn't put anything on the floor.

Great and very kind host! Wonderful concept and perfect for reconnecting with yourselves and others! Vary happy dogs and super cute animals around the property! Fantastic lake view and last but not least the meditation room was cherry on top of the cake 🥇

Our experience at the ranch was really good, Kurt and his wife, the dogs, the llama and the sheeps, the ranch, all was fine. We love to make the morning walk with the owners and the dogs, Sam was assigned to my 9 years old daughter, and she was really thrilled. There are plenty of paths around the property, very special place for hiking, the area is famous among the hikers. We were unfortunately not able to use the lake to swimm, we found temperatures not suitable for italians :) The house has a fully functioning kitchen, we used for breakfast and a dinner. The silence, the quiet, the relax room. All was nice! I read someone saying there was animals stench, we didn't smell it.

I have to say something first: We were in a ranch, you have not to expect the cleansiness of a surgical room. Life in the countryside is not like life in the city. So some spiderweb and some dirt in the floor shoud be considered as normal. My wife most of all noticed that, it didn't bothered me. Stairs to go to the upper floor are steep, but not dangerous, old people may find that hard to climb though, Bathroom was not so inviting, but was clean and did the job.

A place cannot be more special. It felt a bit like being in an enchanted forest surrounded by lovely animals and taken care of by fantastic hosts.

The place was stunning and the perfect spot for a calm and cosy weekend away! It was so nice seeing all the animals and the hosts were so sweet and kind!

That I had to leave! I wanted to stay forever. :/ the bedroom curtains were quite thin so it didn't do much to block light out

i went to this awesome ranch maybe the fifth or the sixth time last night. i love the atmosphere Kurt and Lisa have created within the property, really friendly and welcoming plus you have all the cute animals and the amazing scenery. oh and the meditation room is sooo cool, i can say many great things about this place but you gotta visit and experience it yourself.
