Pool and pool area lovely and relaxing plus lovely orchards and small garden where they grow their own fruit and vegetables to stroll around with a great view of the river. Fantastic breakfast. About a 5 minute drive or 10 minute walk to a lovely beach area where you can hire out kayaks , paddle boards etc... . Very relaxing.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026If it were possible to put more than 10 points, I would have done so! A new house with large windows and a large balcony with a beautiful view of the valley. The whole building is perfectly decorated. There is an outside territory with pool, garden and sports ground. My 6 y.o. son is characterised this place as a "rich house" :)) And all of the other important things like nice staff, parking and perfect breakfast wth traditional homemade food are presented.

Hele hotel is heel schoon.

Reviewed Jun 25, 2026We loved this place! We had a lovely room, with a view to green hills. The breakfast was really good. The house and the grounds are well-kept, had a lovely swim in the pool. Our hostess, whose name I failed to ask, was the loveliest person, she was very kind and accomodating. We were sorry to have stayed only one night, next time we'd like to spend more time in the Douro Valley, and we'd love to stay here again, for longer.
