Reviewed Aug 30, 2026My friends and I loved our study at the husky lodge. We arrived late for check-in due to transit delays, and the owner was very kind to wait up for us. The lodge itself is immaculately clean and felt very new, and is situated in a very quiet, peaceful, and picturesque area nearby the national park. We also got to meet the huskies which was an incredible experience! We’d absolutely be back.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Wat een fantastische ervaring was dit! Het appartement was super nieuw, zeer veel keuken accessoires, leuk ingericht en ruim. Het knuffelen en helpen met de maar liefst 50 husky’s (waarvan 6 puppy’s) was fantastisch. Dit was elke ochtend 9.00 en avond 19.00 en we hebben geen moment overgeslagen. Linda begeleid dit en zij is heel toegankelijk, vriendelijk en geeft leuke 🍽️ -tips in de omgeving. Ook zijn we een ochtend met de puppy’s gaan wandelen (deze extra activiteit kost wel 💶). Hiernaast is de omgeving ook heel erg mooi, mooie watervallen, uitzichten en wandelingen en we zijn nog een middag gaan (family)raften (bij Heidal-rafting).

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Alles: Die Lage, das stilvolle Apartment, Linda, die sich Zeit genommen hat, mir Vieles über das Leben vor Ort mit den Huskeys zu erzählen und erklären! Natürlich die Huskeys selbst (ich durfte beim Futter geben helfen) nebst Mama mit 7 süßen Welpen... Es war für mich ein Eintauchen in eine andere Welt und ein anderes Leben: Ich kann Linda verstehen, dass sie diesen "Arbeitsplatz" mit keinem anderen in der Welt tauschen möchte... Ich werde diesen Aufenthalt nie vergessen und wäre gern länger geblieben( leider war nur 1 Nacht frei) Vielleicht werde ich doch im Winter wiederkommen und an einer Tour mit den tollen sibirischen Huskeys teilnehmen! Danke Linda für einen fantastischen Aufenthalt und interessante Gespräche!

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026Zelden is het beter dan verwacht. Hier klopte alles voor ons. De locatie was perfect met veel leuke activiteiten rondom de locatie. Op de locatie was een trampoline en glijbaan aanwezig naast het vermaak van de honden. De accommodatie was erg schoon en er waren weinig accessoires die in de weg staan. De ruimte was groot genoeg voor ons drieën.
Als enige minpunt zou je het gemis aan gordijnen buiten de slaapkamer kunnen benoemen net als dat je de koffers slecht op de kamers kwijt kan maar daar is ruimte voor in de hal.

Reviewed Jul 14, 2026Leiligheten var romslig og ren. Den var godt utstyrt for matlaging og hadde oppvaskmaskin. Personalet var veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Vi var der midt på sommeren, så det var dessverre for varmt for vogntur med hund. Men vi fikk kose masse med hundene og være med på kveldsfôring. Hundene var veldig snille og kosete.
Vi likte alt som var innenfor vertskapets kontroll. Vi hadde håpet på kjølig vær, men fikk varmt sommervær. Så da ble det ikke vogntur med hund, men det er mange andre muligheter for aktiviteter i området.

Since we all four had heavy suitcases, we found it difficult carrying all our suitcases up a flight of stairs. The bathroom was in the first floor and all other rooms were upstairs.

She explained everything about the dogs in detail and could answer every question. No effort was too much for her. You really feel she puts her heart into her work with the animals. Reviewed Aug 31, 2025DIe Jotunheimen Husky Lodge liegt wunderschön in einer unberührten Landschaft. Das Highlight sind ganz klar die Huskys und auch der Grund warum wir unsere Urlaubsroute geändert haben. Die Unterbringung passt super in die Gegend und innen wirkt alles sehr modern. Bezüglich der Ausstattung ist alles vorhanden und die Betten waren die Besten auf unserer 3 wöchigen Südnorwegenreise. Der Hahn hat mich am Morgen rausgekräht und ich habe es endlich geschafft einen tollen Sonnenaufgang zu Fotografieren. Linda hat uns alles super erklärt. Eine def. Empfehlung von unserer Familie aus. Wir wären länger geblieben, so aber können wir der Lodge zu einer anderen Jahreszeit nochmal ein Besuch abstatten. Vielen Dank.

Reviewed Aug 18, 20251 nacht verbleven en volgens de kinderen veel te kort. Linda is ongelofelijk behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Ze helpt de kinderen op weg met de honden. Iedereen vond de interactie met de honden zeer fijn en het appartement was zeer goed. We hopen nog eens terug te gaan.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2025Fantastisch personeel, die goede tips geven over de omgeving en wat er te doen is en ook veel laten doen met de husky honden (die heel lief zijn). Voeren mag sochtends en savonds en daarna mochten we de grote en ook de puppies knuffelen. Ook het huisje was mooi, schoon en ruim.
Niks eigenlijk, de kinderen (en wij ook) hebben hier genoten.

The location was amazing and the apartment very comfortable - it was bigger than expected and had everything we needed. Loved having breakfast on the deck and meeting the puppies was the highlight of our stay. I wish we had stayed longer.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2025Beautiful location, close to the national park with lots of beautiful hiking trails. Loved the dogs. It was too hot for many activités but we got to feed them and pet them. Our host patiently answered our many questions. The apartments are very comfortable and well equipped with lots of space and the soundproofing worked well. You can cook in the kitchen, but there was also a cafe 3 minutes away with food and a mini supermarket.

It was difficult to pry my son away from the friendly dogs. It's surely a place to come back to! The house felt luxurious and modern, and the staff was great with helping us feel at home. The tour was special and felt like "once- in-a- lifetime," but since April was a bit bad for the ride, we want to return in February to do it over with more favourable conditions!

We enjoyed it very much and the scenery was quite fantastic. Since we loved the dogs we always joined for feeding them breakfast and dinner. Recommend to go food shopping on your way to the lodge and to use the well equipped kitchen for home made dinners :)

When it is feeding time or when they are being prepared for a tour they make noise but that is to be expected of a husky farm and it didn’t bother us. The location was perfect for us, very quiet in the middle of the woods.

It was exactly what we wanted - we weren't rushed, it didn't feel too commercial, and they accommodated for all of us. The lodges were new, clean, and well presented. Had everything we needed. They let us meet all the dogs and my daughter wanted to take them all home with us!

The owner and people working there are very friendly and take their time to explain a lot about the dogs. Also the appartment we rented was newly renovated in a very tasteful way and had everything you need. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

Too bad we could not get breakfast at the accomodation but we knew in advance

Reviewed Aug 20, 2022Well located for hikes, very welcoming host, possibility to learn about the dogs and play with them, overall comfortable cabin.
Would be useful to have some of the basics for the kitchen (salt, pepper, coffee)
