Hupfmühle Pension

Breakfast was excellent! Our needs and requests were met. The owners went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They were extremely helpful and friendly! We particularly loves the running stream right next to the property and the cog railway line so close, was a train nut like my husband's dream accommodation! If we're ever have the opportunity to visit St Wolfgang again, we will stay at Hupfmühle again. Hupfmühle comes highly recommended from us. Mike & Munebah Derry from South Africa 🇿🇦

There is nothing bad that I can comment on.

Helmut was great. He told us the house is hundreds of years old and his family had had the house for about 100 years now. Very approachable and helpful. Room was comfortable with a small deck to ourselves. He cooked breakfast and had fresh fruit. It was great.

Location was secluded but very easy to get to downtown

The Pension was lovely, and the room spotless and comfortable! The host could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Initially, I was a bit hesitant about the walk down the hill (and back) into the town, but that ended up being one of my favorite parts of the stay. Also, the relaxing view and sounds from the balcony were great.

The hotel is located in very beautiful place, you can admire perfect view on trains and stunning sunsets. The room is cozy and fully equipped, hotel serves delicious breakfast, perfect service. Big thanks to host

Klidné, tiché místo a vlastně kousek od centra. Vše čisté, výborně udržované. Majitel vstřícný a velmi ochotný. Poradí s cílem výletu. Na snídani na terase budeme dlouho vzpomínat. Pokoj je plně vybaven i na případné vaření. Což jsme téměř nevyužili. Bonusem byla soukromá pláž u jezera.

Není co vytknout.

バスセンターから、急な坂道を15分ほどかけて登らねばならず、頻繁に街に出かけることができなかった

Beautiful view 😍 lovely and kind owners. They also offer a nice and affordable breakfast! We had a very pleasant stay!!

The pension even though was too close to center, the guesthouse is located up a fairly steep hill, and it takes about 9min to walk uphill to reach it! So it is a good idea to contact asap the owners and ask them to pick you with their golf cart to bus station schafbergbahn, especially if you have luggage.

Pension magnifique dans les montagnes, dans les hauteurs de Sankt Wolfgang. Appartement spacieux et très calme. Belles randonnées à partir du logement et baignade dans le lac. L hote est très sympathique.

Incroyable Pension en haut de l amontagne, avec vue sur le Lac, et sur une rivière qui coule juste en dessous des balcons. Les chambres sont super bien équipées, tout est calme et reposant, et la vue est magnifique. Les hôtes sont charmants et le petit déjeuner est super bon. Vraiment c'etait incroyable!

Such a great place, one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. The room was clean and freshly renovated. The hotel is located on a hill about 1.5 km from the village centre, which is perfect if you’re looking for peace and quiet, plus you get beautiful views. There’s a small river running right next to the hotel, and the sound of the flowing water makes the whole place even more relaxing. The owners are friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place!

Nothing really. There was a neighbour who smoked on the balcony, which was a little unpleasant, but I noticed the same thing at other places too. It seems that smoking on balconies and terraces is fairly common in Austria.

השהות ב-Hupfmühle Pension הייתה ללא ספק אחת מגולות הכותרת של הטיול שלנו באוסטריה. המיקום פשוט מושלם – בתוך הטבע, לצד פלג מים קסום, במרחק הליכה קצר ממרכז סנט וולפגנג, כך שנהנים גם משקט מוחלט וגם מגישה נוחה לעיירה ולאגם. בחרנו בסטודיו עם הנוף להרים, וכל בוקר הרגשנו כאילו התעוררנו בתוך גלויה. החדר היה מרווח, מעוצב בטוב טעם, נקי ללא דופי ומאובזר בכל מה שצריך. ארוחת הבוקר הייתה מצוינת, מגוונת וטרייה, עם נוף נהדר שהפך כל בוקר לחוויה. אבל מעל הכול – האירוח. הלמוט הוא מארח יוצא דופן: חם, אדיב, נדיב בעצות והמלצות, וגורם לכל אורח להרגיש רצוי ומיוחד. אם אתם מחפשים מקום שקט, רומנטי ואיכותי בלב אזור Wolfgangsee – אל תהססו. אנחנו כבר יודעים שכאשר נחזור לאזור, זה יהיה המקום הראשון שנרצה לחזור אליו.

We loved the venue and the views of the stream. We also loved the comfy bed, the brand new kitchen appliances, clean bathroom. The breakfast on the terrace was also a highlight for us. Couldn't fault it!

Vi havde et dejligt ophold i 4 dage, i et super fint værelse. Værten var meget hjælpsom, hjalp med bagagen hvilket var en god ting med bakkerne. Super morgenmad, vi følte os meget velkomne, et godt udgangspunkt for at besøge Wolfgangsee og omegn. stor anbefaling herfra.

It's a nice family hotel next to the mountain stream surrounded by forest hill. About 15 min. walking downhill to the lake and mountain train station and about 20 min. along nice green path to the town center. Or several minutes by car plus looking for parking. Breakfast is simple and good enough ham,cheese,boiled eggs. When there is no rain it's great to have breakfast at the hill terrace in front of the house. There is no evening kitchen but the fridge with any cold drinks. The family (I can't call them staff) is very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom is kind of open space with the kitchen. The shower with no door or curtain. The frosted glass partition between the toilet and the shower might make you feel uncomfortable.

The breakfast is very nice with local bread, fruits and yogurt, eggs, cheese and ham and all kinds of coffee/drinks available. The vibe of the breakfast is amazing.

I was so happy that we had chosen Hupfmühle as our base for our Austrian adventures. Beautiful location, lovely hosts and breakfast, clean and nicely furbished rooms. And the scenery and the little stream under the balcony. Really cannot ask for anything more. Oh, the cogwheel railway passing through just over our heads, well, that is a big plus one for a railway enthusiast.

Great location, friendly super helpful host who always goes out of his way to help! Clean rooms, close to town, short cut that removes the steep hill is super helpful. Had great nights sleep here for 3 days of our Austria 26 tour. Would come back again in future years and stay again!

This is a really special hotel. It's a hard walk up the hill but we really thought it was worth it every time. Helmut and family are wonderful hosts. The cog railway and the waterfall add to how gorgeous it is here. Could not recommend it more.

Helmut and his mother were wonderful hosts. The newly renovated room was spacious with a great view of the mountain stream that actually flowed under our balcony. Delicious breakfast on the veranda with amazing mountain and lake views. A hidden gem in the midst of nature. We will be back!

It is well maintained, clean and picture perfect place. Location was a plus, very calm near the water stream.

这里是此行最满意的地方。虽然到达住宿的路上是条比较窄的路，需要和相反方向错车。但是注意安全就没有问题。店主做的非常棒，可以将车停到店主家的车位，车位距离住宿有个长坡，店主会用电瓶车把行李拉到门口，并且详细介绍小镇的游玩路线。热情回复问题。室内设施齐全很新，有一面非常大的玻璃，望向风景，一路疲惫尽散，心情舒畅。还有观景阳台。早餐丰盛美味，房东会问每个人的要求。这样的设施和服务，应该多住几天。

Die Lage für "Suchende der Ruhe" ist einmalig und die vorhandene Gastfreundschaft sehr individuell an die Bedürfnisse des Kunden angepasst.

Die wirklich wenigen Dinge (zwei in der Summe), welche uns weniger gefallen haben sind höchst subjektiv und würden das Gesamtbild der Unterkunft nicht in die Beziehung setzen, weswegen diese auch nicht genannt werden müssen und sollten.

Helmut was an amazing host. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is a private beach for swimming. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The location is beautiful. One of the most idyllic places I’ve stayed in Austria. Plenty of hiking out your back door or within a 20 min drive. Highly recommend for couples or friend groups.

If you have mobility issues, there is a bit of a drop down to the location.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel last week. We could not believe the hospitality shown by Helmut and his family. The views were exceptional and the location was perfect. The best holiday we’ve ever had.

Poloha, vstřícný personál, snídaně na terase za ranního slunce, výhled do údolí.

Je potřeba vyjet autem do prudkého kopce, aby se člověk dostal na parkoviště hotelu. Ale to byl problém jenom poprvé, podruhé už v pohodě.

Unsere Unterkunft am Wolfgangsee entpuppte sich als echter Glücksgriff. Die Hupfmühle Pension liegt leicht versteckt zwischen Wald, Felsen und einem kleinen rauschenden Bach

Das Haus, die Zimmer, die Lage, das Frühstück!

Tolles Frühstück (auch für Vegetarier!!) mit Blick auf die Berge und St Wolfgang. Das Zimmer war sehr bequem und hatte einen Balkon mit Blick auf einen kleinen Bach. Die Lage ist top - zu Fuß braucht man etwa 10 Minuten zum See und ins Dorf. Auch der See Zugang war herrlich - es stehen Schirme, Liegen, und Paddle Boards bereit. Sehr zu empfehlen!!!
