We loved everything about the house we stayed in in Mechelen.

Die schönste Unterkunft auf unserer 11-tägigen Flandern-Tour. Großer Raum, liebevoll und durchdacht eingerichtet. Ein bißchen Vintage, genau unser Geschmack. Die Küche teilt man sich mit den Gästen der anderen beiden Zimmer. Tolle Lage mitten in der Stadt an einer Gracht. Freundliche Gastgeberin.

Hele fijne plek in hartje Mechelen, met prachtige kamer. Ontbijt om de hoek.

Everything was spotless. Since the moment I arrived at Huis Alfons I felt at home. Mechelen is a beautiful city and the position of the acommodation is also perfect both if one wants to stay in the city center or venture beyond. Nele, the owner, is very kind, friendly and handles her business personally, which is nice to see :) Seeing the sun set so late in June from the beautiful windows of my room, how convenient it was even to reach the capital from Huis Alfons itself, the shared cosy kitchen space... let's just say that it was very hard to leave!

The location was excellent, right on the canal and within walking distance of the sights, restaurants and shops. Communication with our host, Nele, was also very good and she was super charming and helpful on our arrival. The room itself (no 2) was large, stylish and very comfortable.

Prima ondersteuning door de host. Centraal gelegen maar rustig in het centrum met uitzicht op de rivier. Prima bed, alles kwalitatief goed in order. Kamer met erker waar een tafeltje was geplaatst. Dus eten met uitzicht. Komplete keuken ter beschiking

ER zijn meerdere kamers in het huis. Ik had een kamer op de eerste verdieping en heb verder geen enkel geluidsoverlast gehad van mogelijke andere bewoners. Dat kan mogelijk wel gebeuren aangezien de gang langs de kamerdeur loopt.

De locatie van huis alfons is supper. Op korte loopafstand van het centrum met allerlei leuke restaurants en cafe’s

Eigenlijk niets. Wellicht was een schapje in de douche handig geweest. Nu wordt het snel nat. Voor de rest prima appartement

De goede ligging vlakbij het centrum. De kamers waren stijlvol. De mogelijkheid om tegen betaling natuurlijk, dranken te kopen.

Niets alleen was het even lastig om de deur met de app te openen. Maar na even bellen werden we door een zeer vriendelijke dame geholpen.

Schoon ingericht, heel gerieflijk en echt alles voor een fijn, comfortabel verblijf!

The property is in the middle of the city, but just aside from the business of the big streets. The view from the window is very nice, and the beds are comfortable.

Le décor, le cachet, le confort, la grandeur, l'emplacement parfait, la vue, tout!

Superbe appartement très propre. Super bien équipé. Près de la gare de Malines et de son centre ville. Quartier tranquille. Très belle vue sur les canaux. On se sent comme à la maison. Je recommande à tous. Malines est une charmante ville avec beaucoup d'attraits. Une excellente alternative à Bruxelles qui est situé à environ 20 minutes en train.

Rien en particulier. Tout était très bien.

Aanrader! Enorm genoten van ons verblijf: de locatie is super, de kamers zijn mooi ingericht, ruim en schoon, en de eigenaresse is erg vriendelijk. We komen zeker een keertje terug!

Attention to details makes it very home-like

Van alle gemakken voorzien en erg stijlvol en knus ingericht. Bed was top, kortom, zalig verblijf:)

De trap is wel smal , was ff een klim met een grote koffer. Verder was er op straat een hangplek, hopelijk pakt de politie dit gauw op!

Alles was proper en gezellig ingericht.

Location was perfect for me as I travelled by train. It is a 10-12 minutes walk from the train station and on the edge of the city centre. Everything you need is within few steps. The room was very comfortable and pleasant.

The stairs up to the room are bit sharp, I'm tall so I had to watch my head not to get too many hits:) But that's not really a big issue.

De ligging in het centrum van Mechelen, een mooi afgewerkte kamer met een propere badkamer en een goed bed. We hadden alles wat we nodig hadden voor een verblijf in de stad Mechelen.

Ich hatte den Raum 002. Er war ganz toll eingerichtet, das Bett war super bequem (es gab genug Kissen), es gab guten Kaffee und ein tolles Badezimmer. Es liegt nah an gute Frühstückscafés und man ist schnell auf dem Marktplatz und in der Einkaufsstraße. Zum Wohlfühlen.

huis Alfons ligt midden in het centrum van Mechelen, met parkeergarage Lamot op loopafstand. Mooi uitzicht over het water en een heel groot bed. Originele inrichting en goede voorzieningen voor koffie en thee, ruimte in de koelkast en mogelijkheid om zelf ontbijt te verzorgen : de Spar is ook op loopafstand.

Prachtige plek en heel dicht bij het centrum

Perfekt beliggenhed, roligt og tæt på alt. Dejligt at ligge i badekarret med udsigt. Meget fint og rent, der var alt hvad vi skulle bruge.

Sengen kunne have været blødere, men det er tit en smagssag.

Ruime, nette kamer met uitzicht over rivier de Dijle. Om de hoek van gezelle cafeetjes en winkels zonder er last van te hebben.

Vloer kraakt wel een beetje, maar dat hoort bij het bouwjaar van het huis.

Appartamentino stupendo, (peccato esserci stati una sola notte) dotato di ogni confort, persino le cialde per il caffè. Comodo alla stazione ferroviaria come al centro, dove si possono trovare ristorantini di ogni genere. La città è comodissima da girare a piedi.

Es un alojamiento muy cómodo, con mucho encanto y personalidad. Situado en el centro de Malinas, en una calle muy tranquila con vistas al rio. Hay un parking a dos minutos. La cama es muy cómoda, con ropa de cama y toallas muy buenas. Poder disponer de pequeña cocina compartida y también cafetera y kettle en la habitación para hacer allí mismo tu desayuno resulta muy práctico. Teníamos unas galletas deliciosas de cortesía. Tienen algunos productos a muy buen precio ( vino, cerveza, zumos...) Estaba muy limpio todo, y el baño es bonito y cómodo. Pudimos dejar el equipaje después del check-out para dar otra vuelta por la ciudad. Nos encantó la experiencia

Super schöne Unterkunft! So liebevoll eingerichtet, man fühlt sich direkt wie zu Hause. Nele ist auch eine tolle Gastgeberin, hat sich immer erkundigt, ob wir noch etwas brauchen, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, man hat einen tollen Blick auf den Fluss und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten + schöne Restaurants sind in der Nähe. Super war auch die Küche, die sehr gut ausgestattet ist, die man mitbenutzen konnte. Man kann Mechelen prima zu Fuß entdecken und auch der Bahnhof ist nicht weit, wenn man Tagesausflüge nach Gent, Antwerpen oder Brüssel unternehmen möchte. Absolute Empfehlung!

La cura dei dettagli, la pulizia, la posizione, la gentilezza e disponibilità di Nele hanno reso il soggiorno eccellente. È stato come sentirsi a casa. Non fatevi intimorire dalle ripide scale perché vale veramente la pena soggiornare qui.

Fantastic location, very close to the Fish Market. Very communicative host, easy to find, and enter. Nice fixtures and furnishing. Would return!

Easy access - what you see is what you get

All self-in, self-out. Slightly un personal vibe, but very efficient

I had the room on the top floor and it was absolutely gorgeous! I loved the little details, such as a bag with delicious cookies or the aesthetic decorations. The view was spectacular as the apartment is right next to the river. I also really loved the high ceiling and the bed which is super big and comfy. Probably the cleanest apartment I’ve ever been to. As I arrived at night, I could enter the house via app which was really practical. On the first floor, there is a kitchen which can be used. Big thanks to the owner, Nele, who helped me with everything and who was always available via Whatsapp. I had a wonderful stay.

The hostess was very friendly and, several times, inquired whether everything was in order. (It was.) As the pictures for the property show, the rooms are beautifully furnished. Everything worked perfectly. The central location is great for visiting the city. I highly recommend the place.

Super place to stay if you like privacy and do not want to stay in a hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable, charming, and clean with a lot thought through by the host.

Great appartement which was very clean, comfortable and with a cozy vibe. And also on a great location with everything you need just around the corner (including a parking garage Lamot). Staff is very fast with replying any questions and super friendly in the communication. Superb.

We were in the night from Friday on Saturday in the apartment 00 on the ground floor, so in the night we could hear some voices / cars from outgoing public. But to be fair, that is not something Alfons can do anything about of course. The consequence of wanting to stay in a city center :)

the property is mentionned as a “B&B”, but there is no breakfast served. but it’s really a detail if you don’t mind walking just around the corner to get breakfast (facilities in the B&B present)or eat out. (several supernice places). fyi: steep stair case, if you don’t like stairs and are staying in the upper room… but again: it’s really a detail. you are staying in a old (beautiful) house in a historic setting…

Shower in bath. Tricky getting in and out. Shower not suitable older people. Check in process not so easy/great.
