Tulou Fuyulou Changdi Inn

Merveilleux séjour hors du dans ce tulou ancien et somptueux. Stephen, le sympathique propriétaire, parle anglais et est super efficace pour organiser un trip hors des sentiers battus. La nourriture préparée par la maman de Stephen est délicieuse. C’est un véritable plaisir de profiter de la court en rentrant le soir , pour un apéro et un bon repas .

The owner, Stephen, supervises everything personally, from the breakfast to the dinner (both extremely good) and every little need. He organized us the pick-ip from the Xiamen airport and and two days with a private car with driver to visit the area. Staying in a Tulou was a fascinating and unique experience.

The entire experience of staying in a tulou was amazing - such a cool place to spend a couple of days! The location is great too - walking distance from many other tulou, all of which are interesting to visit. The food was fantastic, and the tour that Stephen organised for us was exactly what we wanted

Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, sprach sogar einige Sätze in deutscher Sprache. Kommunikation ansonsten in Englisch möglich. Wir hatten drei Zimmer gebucht, waren eine kleine Reisegesellschaft und alle waren sehr zufrieden. Es gab drei Mahlzeiten am Tag, die Zeiten konnten wir nach unserem Tagesablauf wählen und die Mutter kochte. Wir konnten auswählen was wir essen wollten, ob Tofu, Gemüse, Fleisch ... so wurde das Essen angerichtet und es waren gute und große Mahlzeiten auf mehreren Tellern wie in China üblich. Morgens gab es Kaffee und auch Toast war möglich. Die Zimmer waren einfach, aber sauber und bequem. Der Tulou ist ein altes Gebäude, aber mit einer hervorragenden Atmosphäre ausgestattet. Wir können die Unterkunft nur ausdrücklich empfehlen!

Wonderful experience Stephen, the owner, is very friendly and welcoming. His mom made us dinner that was very good The village was beautiful too, and we had the chance to explore it early in the morning with no crowds

Le patron nous a procuré une voiture avec chauffeur et pendant trois jours on a visité les villages… Accueil chaleureux et gentillesse du patron Bonne cuisine familiale de sa maman C’est une très bonne adresse en plein cœur des villages Hakka

Hôtel très bien situé pour visiter les tulous. Personnel super serviable. Ils nous ont fourni un chauffeur ala journée pour visiter les différents sites d'intérêt pour un prix raisonnable. Nous recommandons vivement !

Gelegen op het platteland maar toch tussen de mensen. Een geweldige locatie maar vooral ook geweldige mensen die ons hielpen met alles. We konden het afhalen en terugbrengen naar Xiamen via Stephen regelen. En zijn ook 2 dagen op stap geweest langs de verschillende Tulou clusters. Echt geweldig geregeld en ‘s avonds kregen we lekker eten ter plekke door de kok (moeder) klaar gemaakt. Ook voor het ontbijt waren er genoeg westerse opties.

Hemos tenido una experiencia muy positiva en el Tulou. Ubicado en el pueblo de Honkeng, está a 10 minutos del tulou más grande y ubicado en una zona tranquila, justo al lado del río. La habitación cuenta con todo lo que necesitas: aire acondicionado, colchón cómodo, dos almohadas, ducha, agua caliente, secador. El desayuno está incluido y es muy completo. El dueño nos ayudó con los traslados y con la ruta para visitar el resto de pueblos y tulous. La comida es casera y deliciosa. Cuentan con lavadora que puedes usar para lavar la ropa, se agradece mucho. El precio de la estancia es un poco más elevado que otras zonas de China pero merece la pena por ser una zona especial e histórica.

The guesthouse was very charming and original. Stephen and his family were very welcoming and the food they prepared us was delicious.

Everything was perfect. From the location to the people living there. Such a peaceful place to recharge from big city life. It reminded me of the italian countryside which I miss a lot. 謝謝大家

If you want to experience a slice of rural life in China this is it. Stay in a charming old world property. The owner Stephen is such a good host and so helpful, organised pickups from the station and also mapped out an itinerary for a day out viewing other villages. His mother cooks great meals some of the best food we had whilst travelling around China. This place was a real highlight of our trip for my daughter and I in China.

Exceptional host and price for value! Our host was so welcoming and kind, he helped us taking our luggage to our room and happily shared tips about visiting the area. He offered us some tea and arranged a driver for us to visit the surrounding Tulous. His house is magical, very authentic and full of charm. He even took a photo of us and kindly printed it, and framed it for us so we could have a souvenir. I loved it! I 100% recommend staying at Tulou Fuyulou Changdi Inn if you’re looking for an authentic, comfortable and warm atmosphere for your stay in the Fujian region. Thank you again for everything!

Staying in an authentic tulou with home cooked breakfasts and dinners. Ensuite showers n all amenities provided. Free use of washing machine. Within Tulou Prince scenic area. Arranges transport, guide and bespoke itineraries as needed. Stephen went out of his way to provide with a warm and welcoming stay, meeting our needs over and above expectations. I recommend staying for at least 3 nights and to visit chuxi tulou area - most authentic tulou area with 600 year old tulou in pristine form.

Why no hot air ballooning over the tulous? He he

This was the most amazing place we stayed in China. 144-year-old tulou but with all the mod cons and despite the cold outside we had a warm and comfortable night. The owner, Steve, spoke good English and organised everything for us - from food to touring the surroundings to bus tickets. A perfect stay in a very special part of the world!

I loved the location, the architecture, the authenticity, and the simplicity of this place. I truly felt that I had been in the real ancient China. The food was made by the mother - real Hakka food. And it was good quality, healthy food.

The property is great, but it was quite cold in the morning and evening.

Historical house with comfortable rooms with AC and always hot water. Stephen helped me a lot with the bus connection from Xiamen and organized the driver with a nice car for the best villages in the region. Delicious food!

Steven was amazing- he was so helpful and helped me with lots of different things. I would really have struggled without his English to help. The place is beautiful and you are staying in a piece of history. It is nice to have the family around and to see work behind the scenes on dinner etc. The food was delicious- I'm just sad I couldn't eat more of it!

Squat toilets in shared bathrooms. Be prepared if you find them hard (I have a poorly knee).

Beautiful old traditional building with modern facilities within a historic village with lots of Tulou. Spectacular light shows throughout the village after dark. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Good fresh local food made to order.

Floors were quite dusty. There were tour groups walking around the courtyard while we were having breakfast there, which was a little awkward.

All was perfect. The owner and his family were absolutly helpfull and nice all the time. The house was amazing and the village was the most beautiful village in the area. Also they have a restaurant and prepared delicious food every day. The free breakfast was also good. I can only say that we have a very good stay here and we enjoy every moment. Heartwarming welcome from the host, who helped us plan our whole day out visiting all the villages. The tulou we stayed at was beautiful and the food was amazing.

The location is fantastic - right in the heart of the village. The tulou the guesthouse is in is amazing, and it was a privilege to be able to stay in the Lin family home. My room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The food was also fantastic. Breakfast is included, and you can choose between a 'western' breakfast (bread, jam and Nutella) or a Chinese breakfast (noodles). Or even have both! Italian coffee is also available. The other meals are extra, but I loved the flexibility of the mealtimes (you can pretty much eat when you want), and the food is delicious. The whole Lin family are fantastic hosts.

The bathroom was a little cramped, but given that you are staying in a very old building, it is understandable. Everything worked perfectly!

Heritage building right in the centre of the village. The owner and manager are extremely hospitable and provided helpful guide to the area. It is like going back in time while in the building.

We had an amazing time with Stephen in his truly amazing family house. Everything was perfect, the room was very comfortable, with shower and everything you need. The house is absolutly beautiful , in the middle of the village, surrunding the river. The food was so so so good , we just want to come back to try the rest of the menu! You have two option dor breakfast chinese ( the one we had) and western with nutella ! stephen was very helpful regarding the transportation!
