Her şey muhteşemdi. Burada kalmak istiyorsanız sakın kaçırmayın. Mısırdaki en hızlı internet olabilir. Ayrıca kahvaltı da muhteşemdi. Soğuk demirhindili içeceği içmeti unutmayın. Saif abime de çok teşekkür ediyorum.

It was truly the best accommodation I’ve ever stayed at! The hospitality of Mr. Saif, the hotel owner who genuinely loves Korean guests, was an unforgettable experience. His kindness was a great comfort to a traveler worn out from the long journey across Egypt. I honestly wished I could have stayed for a month or even two. It was such a shame that I could only stay for five days. The other guests at the hotel were all wonderful people as well. Every evening we gathered together and had such enjoyable conversations that I completely lost track of time. If you simply ask Mr. Saif, he will gladly arrange everything for you — whether it’s the Esna Temple, Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo Temple, Abu Simbel, Philae Temple, Kalabsha Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk, the High Dam, the West Bank, or the Botanical Garden. Not to mention, the prices are very reasonable! In my opinion, even Wadi El Sebua would be no problem for him to arrange. You absolutely must try his Nubian-style dinner. It’s truly delicious! And just a five-minute walk from the hotel, there is a restaurant with a stunning view.
다른 이집트 숙소를 가봤다면 여기가 어떤 면에서도 문제가 없다는 것을 당연히 알 겁니다! If you’ve stayed at other accommodations in Egypt, you’ll immediately realize that this place has absolutely no shortcomings in any aspect!
Value for money. Cleanliness. Calm place and neighbourhood. Gentil and hospitable hosts. Very good WIFI. The village inhabitants are very kind and helpful. The village is very safe even after midnight.
Elephantine village isn't the best place to represent Nubia, many village streets are full of dirt and dust. Infrastructure improvements are needed to improve the tourists experience at Elephantine island. The location of the hostel although being surrounded with a very calm neighbourhood, you have to walk for nearly 5 to 7 minutes to reach the hostel from the public ferry dock.
The place offers the real vibe of the Nubian life style and the quietness of the location is very much appreciated. Easy to reach elsewhere in the city. The owner is a super knowledgeable person, with whom you can chat for a long time. He helped us a lot with many things including excursions to nearby places. I strongly recommend this place and hope to go back again in the future when the rooftop is finished :)
100% Saif
Nothing Saif is great

When we got there room was not ready. Pictures depict something totally different than what you see when you get there.
The apartment is on Elephantine Island in Aswan, and the location is a bit difficult to find for first-timers. But the owner of the apartment will meet you at the public ferry and take you to your room. The island is relatively quiet at night and there is not a lot of noise. My leg was scraped, and the owner applied herbal compresses on the wound, which worked.
The room is relatively small and the soundproofing is not good. You can hear the door opening and closing and people talking outside.
Owner Saif is very kind and helpful
Quite difficult to find the exact location, but people in the island were very nice directing us to the property. Be careful not to pay for private boat they can charge high price
Saif is the owner of the guest house, he gave us a lot of information of Aswan. I really like how he explained the structure of Nubian’s house. It’s difficult to find the place by yourself, although it’s just few minutes walk from the pier. It’s better to guide by the staff first. The public ferry costs only 10 LE, and goes from 6am to midnight, be careful for the scammers.
The room is too small for 3 beds, and we don’t have enough space for our belongings.
If you are looking for a place to stay at in Aswan and you are considering Elephantine Island for your stay, then look no further. This place is the place to stay at. The location is great, the accommodations are great, and the host is truly great. He will make sure you feel at home and provide a great conversation. It is a short walk from the ruins and everyone knows the host. He will schedule the ferry for you if need be and will be message away if you need anything. The place was great and comfortable. It is definitely a diamond to find and to stay at.
It may be a little difficult to find, going through the buildings and walking alleys but you will find signs to guide you. It is not that difficult but it can be.
Elephantine Island is a place of simple and peaceful people. The Om-Abdallah guesthouse is close to where the boats arrive. The streets have no names or numbers, but people know the guesthouse. The guesthouse is small, with only six rooms. The owner Saif is a generous and kind person. I have no words to thank him for all the attention he gave me, before and during my stay at the guesthouse; thank you Saif. I ate local food and bought handicrafts from Nubian women, this helps the local economy.
Unfortunately, there is no public policy to serve the Nubian community and the socio-environmental conditions are quite precarious. There is no investment to improve people's living conditions, much less for local tourism.
Mr.Said was very kind and showed great hospitality.
Nothing, everything was good.
Everything! The place is very nice clean and cozy! And the owner is the kindest person you could ever meet. We shared a lot of time talking and he was explaining a lot about the area, and touristic points, he also helped me with indications in Arabic in a paper. He also invited me a very tasty fruit juice.
All was very good!
We were the only family at the property (because of the season's end) so we had an endless conversation about the history, ancient Egypt, and the Nubian life with Seyfi. Hotel is very clean with A/C, good wifi, and a wide lobby. We felt like a guest in a village house, not a customer of them. Seyfi helped us to find a taxi to go to Luxor and called us every time to be sure we were ok. My kids liked him too much and these nice Nubian people. very happy to see you there, we believe we have a friend there.
This place is in a village and there is no car on that island. So if you have heavy luggage it can be difficult to carry.
Saef's hospitality is unmatched. His kindness alone made it such a great stay; he provides snacks and tea, makes an AMAZING omlette, coordinates transport/tours, and is wonderful to talk to. Outside of that, everything I was looking for accomodation-wise was there: the Wi-Fi was strong, room was comfortable, and shower was hot.
Nothing. I highly recommend staying here.
Visitors can feel true local atmosphere here
After a long stay on bus, carrying luggages from ferry to hotel climbing on sandy slope is not a good experience, while the location is not easy to access.
Saif was a real joy to meet and was a beautiful host; genuinely concerned about my having a positive experience. The room was quite nice, comfortable bed, large mini-fridge,large private bath ( water pressure was a little on soft side, but plenty of hot water). There was a shared kitchen and Saif provided options for breakfasts and dinners at a nominal cost- aromatic and delicious. Large, comfy common area with water and fruits available everyday. Rooms were secure and nights were quiet so sleep was sound and deep. Everything was walkable from house so a very convenient location. Saif is a wonderful host. Ferry runs very consistently and only 10egp to cross.
Elephantine island is a little challenging to navigate due to the many winding and narrow walkways between all the buildings. I'm not great with direction so I kept missing turns, but the locals were always so nice in helping me find my way. It is actually a wonderful village with no cars and no horns and I always felt totally safe. The "inner courtyard" view left a little to be desired.
++location (more peaceful, people are not that pushy and all asking all the time 'onedollar' - more quiet and authentic village ambient) ++friendly reception and owner Saif +hot water +bananas&mandarins healthily available free all the time +working internet
The owner is a very pleasant and helpful person and the guesthouse is comfortable with good WiFi. Free tea/coffee and fruits were provided. The location on Elephantine island was lovely and quiet, compared to the hustle and bustle of the mainland. It is very close to the Aswan museum and the local ferry is easy to use, cheap and available 24/7 (between midnight and 6am there is an extra charge). Would recommend buying food from the main supermarket on the island as the prices are very reasonable compared to the mainland markets.
The water and electricity was cut at different times during our stay, which was a bit difficult but not the owners fault as issues and repairs were going on island wide.
I cannot give enough praise to this property. Nestled in the midst of the island, it provides excellent toilet facilities and an amazing shared lounge space. Toilets are neat and clean and gives more of a five star feel. Saif is an excellent host and my kids simply felt like home. He makes fresh breakfast and food and we loved it be it; fresh juice, egg and cheese with fresh bread or falafels. Saif helps the guests without any greed of making the extra dime. He provided me with train times and actual cost, bus options and also private car. He made our stay comfortable and at ease. I highly recommend this place for the unique and hospitable experience
I can’t think of any negatives about our stay - honest
The host's hospitality and kindness, the neighborhood, and the whole ease in experience.
Thanks to Mr Saif The manger of the house, he is a very respectful person, he is a helpful man, he is charming and trying to help you all the time. the stay was amazing, the room is clean, the beds is comfortable, every thing related to the bathroom and the shower was there, I loved this place, and the next time i will be in Aswan, I will definitely stay with Om abdallah and Mr Saif.
overall clean place
location was hard to reach. we got dropped off to the island by boat and had to walk a kilometer carrying our luggage through narrow alleyways.
No Facilities - no hot water - no transfers - after the boat you have to walk for 5 min in small area hot water is the main problem
No Facilities - no hot water - no transfers - after the boat you have to walk for 5 min in small area hot water is the main problem
Best hotel so far in Egypt! The location in the Nubian village of Elephantine Island is great/calm and the rooms are clean. The highlight is really the owner Saef who is the kindest person we met: he welcomed us with delicious drinks and was so helpful in organizing trips to Abu Simbel and felouca. Highly recommended!
Gracious and welcoming host made me feel comfortable especially after the chaos of Luxor. He walked me to a restaurant on the Nile and sat with me until the food came. Felt genuinely cared for. Room was way above expectations.
Outstanding hospitality. Our host Saif was one of the kindest and most attentive hosts we have met on our travels. The place is quiet, clean and both wifi and AC work well. Highly recommended for anyone who wants some authentic experience and hospitality.
None
The hosts are absolutely wonderful! I was sick during the trip, and the host took extra care for my needs by providing me right type of warm drinks to soothe my throat. I especially enjoyed talking to the host about his background and his time in Nubia. He is genuinely caring, make the stay very pleasant. Rooms were large enough and bathrooms were very clean. The kitchen has equipment to make a quick snack etc.
This is not about the stay but just the location. The house is on an island that doesn't have many facilities like restaurants or stores or for food. The island especially can feel extremely dusty. We had to go the mainland for most things. The roads are not paved so dragging suitcases can be hard. The rooms themselves could have brighter lights to make it more comfortable.
Island accommodation allows you to live in close contact with the locals. It is a very quiet place, but the ferry allows you to easily get to the city
Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is so quiet and calm here with a nice lounge area to sit and have tea or coffee.
This is a lovely small guesthouse on Elephantine Island - it’s a very quiet and traditional area but really lovely. The room was very comfortable, good air con and the staff were lovely. Close to the ferry pier (5 mins) and the main sights on the island. Fantastic value for money.
One thing to be aware of is there aren’t many shops/places to eat on the island but that didn’t bother me!
Fantastic host, and a lovely peaceful location

Saif is the living proof of honesty, goodness, kindness and hospitality. He welcomed us as if we knew each other for a long time. He gave us food, juices, drinks just from its goodness of heart. He made us taste Egyptians food that we would have never discovered by ourself. One of the best host I have ever seen. You can go there without questioning. As for the room, very clean, comfortable. The little street to go there are really cute. Everything was great.
Nothing ! Expect not staying longer.
Excellent host provided lots of advice and referral services
N/a
Everything was great! The brothers who run the place were amazing and provided excellent hospitality. They also set up my tour to Abu-Simbel and airport shuttle at a great price.
I loved everything! the hospitality is the best, saif and mohamed are super kind people, with huge hearts. when i arrived at the guest house i was sick, saif treated me with his natural products, it helped me a lot. Saif was like a father to me during the whole stay. the space reminded me of my grandparents' house, super cozy with a family atmosphere. I felt at home. Best stay in all egypt!
Saif, the owner is an amazing host. He fed us with healthy juices. He is a most respectful person with a gentle soul. The place is a welcome haven after the Aswan heat. We were a big group, the rooms all branch off from the lounge in the centre, so it is a good common room.
Nothing
It's in a very quiet place in an island. Authentic beautiful cozy design. Carpets, books available to read and exchange. The service was very good. They took care of us, gave us welcome drinks (some good juice made of unknown to me fruit), prepared for us coffe and tea (free of charge). There was an AC in the room and also in the commun area. Easy to go to the center of Aswan (by boat across the river), it takes just 5 minutes and you are on the other side of the river.
One day there was a problem with water supply, but that was not fault of the hotel. The whole island had this problem.
Very kind hosts. Peaceful place
Everything went good
Kind and friendly host: Mr Saif. He cooked a homey dinner for us and breakfast, but too much food for us! He was very helpful with our children, offering fruit, anti-mosquito and did our laundry for a fee. Also took us to his friend who has a pet alligator! Wireless Internet works well. We had 2 simple rooms, with perfectly clean and functional bathrooms. It's a few alleys away from the public ferry, max 10min walk with small kiddy legs. Extremely calm. Would definitely recommend. We went to swim at Basma Hotel on 3 afternoons. You can order a meal or drink and stay at the pool! They have changing facilities.
The island is very quiet and I felt secure. The delicious breakfast was sufficient food for the entire day. The staff are helpful and kind. Many people coming from Sudan, as I was, felt at home here.
Water pressure was sometimes an issue, but that is to be expected.
Friendly helpful service, and supplied coffee and mango juice
Extremely hospitable and friendly hosts. Helped us out with booking a Abu Simbel tour at a good price & a taxi to go to Philae temple. Room was everything we needed & it was good to experience life on elephante island which is a more authentic Nubian experience. Thank you!
the traditional deco of the house. walking just less than 5 mins from the ferry marina.
It’s a wonderful stay experience at Om Abdallah, the host Saif and his brother are friendly and more than helpful. And the room is clear with peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend to stay here and enjoy the lovely Elephantine island.
Whoa - this was a step back into old world charm of an island without cars, where folks grow their own food and live in a community where everyone takes care of each other - including tourists. The proprietor and host Saif was very friendly and spoke excellent English. His snacks were delicious especially the homemade juice. You will take a ferry that runs at least 5am to 11pm, and walk a few blocks. Saif sent a carrier to help with luggage. My septuagenarian and pre-school age travel companions managed the walk and embarkation fine. The shower was hot with good pressure and spacious. The A/C worked fine. The accommodations are otherwise simple; it's an economical place where Egyptians and tourists stay alike
Elephantine Island is not for everyone - if walking through many narrow passageways after taking a ferry, or life without nightlife is not for you, consider sticking to Aswan on the East Bank of the Nile. The local ferry passengers segregate by gender, and consider it polite for tourists to do the same.
This is a little Nubian house with few rooms (around 6). The room doors open to the main hall and the open plan kitchen. It is located in a little Island that you reach via a public ferry. Make sure you take the ferry that lands you close to the house (The southern "Maadeyya Quebleyya" near Feryal Park not the once close to KFC. At the time of writing this, the cost of the ferry is 5 pounds for non Egyptians and 1 or 2 for Egyptians. The staff are polite and helpful. They offer you fruits, tea and coffee as part of the hospitality. It is clean but don't expect a 5 stars service, beds or linens. I haven't tried breakfast there but there are other options outside and in Aswan itself.
It is inevitable to hear the noise from other guests in the main hall as all doors open to this communal space. You will enjoy the place more if you are not a very light sleeper.
The friendliness and warmth that the owner exudes is truly unique nowadays. The beds are comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, the welcome drink you are served upon arrival and the genuine desire to help will keep us recommending this place to everyone who wants to stay in a "home-like" environment while enjoying their privacy. Thank you, Saif!
Absolutely nothing to complain about.
House style and team there are amazing and friendly please is very clean and cozy
Location not close enough to nile side
Saif is a great man, he is more than a hotel owner. He arranged everything for us like Hurghada Airport transfer to Aswan (it is really difficult to arrange in Egypt), Abu Simbel Temple tour. He made our difficult tour easier. Thank you so much, Saif. You are really great man
Nothing - Hotel is really good as price/performance hotel. Of course you shouldn't wait for 5 star hotel comfort.
Hosts are kind and helpful. You can order food through them and it's great value
Such a lovely days I spent here in this quiet guesthouse, also this small cute island, and kind people welcoming you. Thank you so much for all the helps and good time spending together! They are so welcoming and the time I spent here was unforgettable. I really recommend here if you are looking for beautiful local, slow time, and quiet day. People here are so lovely and you feel like a home. I hope I can come back very soon.
Nothing. Everything is so relaxing here and cozy. The ferry in island starts around 6am, so just in case you have a flight to catch, You can talk to them for taxi booking etc. :)
The location, in a quiet neighborhood of Elephantine Island, was great. Saif is a great person. He answered all my questions well before my arrival. He explained to me how to move in public transportation to go to places. I enjoyed my stay there.
Internet connection was weak.
I recently stayed at the Om-Abdallah hotel and I must say that I had an enjoyable experience. The hotel is located in a great area, just a short walk from the city center and many popular tourist attractions. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff who were happy to assist me with any questions I had. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, which was a great start to my stay. My room was clean, and comfortable. It had all the amenities I needed, including a comfortable bed, air conditioning. The bathroom was also clean and well-maintained with plenty of towels and toiletries. One thing that stood out to me about the hotel was the owner. Saif, was always visible and available, taking the time to personally greet guests, check in on their needs, and ensure that everything was running smoothly. It was clear that the owner had a true passion for hospitality and a deep commitment to making guests feel welcome and valued. It was clear that the owner had a keen eye for quality and a dedication to providing the very best for their guests. Overall, I had a great experience staying at the Om-Abdallah hotel. Also, I was extremely impressed by the owner of this hotel and the level of care and attention they put into every aspect of the guest experience. If you're looking for a truly exceptional stay, I would highly recommend choosing a hotel owned by this individual. You won't be disappointed!
Fantastic opportunity to experience living in a traditional Nubian house. Saif is a wonderful host - very kind and eager to ensure you have a nice stay. He helped us organise some trips and made me a special local remedy when I wasn't feeling good. He is a kind soul, and it was nice to spend time talking with him and learning of his life and experiences. Highly recommend for a different experience than the usual. Good luck to you, Saif!
Nothing
It was situated on the elephantine island and was perfect was very peaceful and quiet
Can be a little awkward to get around as it's not on the mainland but there's regular boats to the main land
Great Value for money and kind and helpful staff
friendly warm and well taken care of. Muhammad gives you good advice and doesn’t try to cheat you. i was a woman traveling alone and felt very comfortable. I had a wonderful time
it’s a bit hard to find, but ultimately convenient. o don’t find it remote as long as you done kind a 5 minutes walk and ferry
Saf, my host, was incredible. He shared with me the Nubian culture, and really help to find the best attraction in this area. I felt like In home, part of the family. My best experience in Egypt in 4 weeks. Many thanks Saf for these amazing moments.
Very good value for money Very kind and nice host with a good knowledge of local/nubian culture(also eager to share)
Not really, but if you want to more proxomity to the city center and night life, this is not your best bet. No breakfast offered: was no problem with me, but I saw other guest was demanding it, a miscommunication maybe?
The staff here are very generous and helpful people. The common area is nice to hang out in.
Can hear noise from common area early in the morning.
The place is lovely, clean and spacious. The people are kind and very hospitable. I had fantastic time being there and I would definitely go back and recommend it to everybody. Enjoy the experience
Affordable, very calm and interesting staff, clean, located in a traditional neighborhood, traditional lodging, quiet, fruit and drinks provided.
Charming guesthouse in the middle of Elephantine Island. Owners are very polite and wanting to help with everything they are able to. Nice common area with the kitchen for tea and coffee. Atmosphere is super cozy.
There is not much space in the rooms to pack the things out. The triple rooms are to small to have 3 people in.
Best stay in our two weeks in Egypt! The person is very honest and he doesn't insist on anything. We even forget a jacket in a taxi from Aswan to Luxor and he managed everything to send it to our hotel in Luxor for FREE which is not so common in Egypt! It s a tradionnal house, very peaceful, breakfeast is delicious. If you are looking for a real experience you go for it!
That we couldn't stay longer
Terrific stay. Very, very quiet. Comfortable beds. Big pillows. Hot water. Good WiFi. Only a 5 minute walk to the little ferry, which runs all the time from 6am to 12 midnight. Saif, the host was so kind and welcoming, even walked me to a swimming spot in the Nile when I asked a good place to cool off.
The kindness and helpfulness of Seif and his colleague. The guest house is small but cozy and has everything you need when you arrive after your daily excursions and walking. Both the room and bathroom were tidy and perfectly clean.
Everything was cool in the guest house. The only thing I didn't like was the big amount of garbage and trash there is in Elephantine island.
Breakfast is fine, very healthy halal foods. Sometimes Mr Saif, the owner, cooks traditional Nubian foods. Oranges, bananas and guavas are provided as complementary. I have traveled many countries and dare say Mr Saif is the best. He is very kind and sincere and honest person. Even he invited me to Nubian Restaurant and gave a precious book as a gift. The room is very clean. I strongly recommend Om Abdallah Guest House.
For me, I can't fine any weak points. I fully enjoyed my time there.
I liked everything, it is a nice and clean with friendly staff and it is very well located. The breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend
Nice architecture and kind host
All was good, but remember to tell the visitors to bring flip-flops or sandals to avoid putting in sand from outside with their shoes
The host is the sweetest ever. Will help you with everything you need. From booking Abu Simbel ‘till explaining about Nubian history. Will offer you something to drink whenever you come back from a day exploring, or grab some free fruit to go. Place is super clean, beautiful ceiling and has a reasonable price :)
Everyone was so welcoming und warmhearted. The welcome drinks werde very tasty. The room was clean. The main arena was nice to relax and to meet other travellers.
The location, Elephantine island. Saif, a lovely guy who helped us in many ways organising our stay.
Very nice and helpful staff. High value for the cheap price. Overall very cozy atmosphere.
- the owner is very nice, generous and accomodating - quiet and authentic
- there were no upper sheets on the beds : you sleep with blankets directly on you which is not super hygenic / comfortable. Woud be great to add some. - no pressure at all in our shower
Our stay in Om-Abdallah was very pleasant. It is located on elephantine island, so you need to take a ferry (5EGP per person) to cross. The place is very clean, calm, and comfortable. Saif was very helpful with information and arranging transport to visit different places, he is very kind.
