El lugar es de mucha tranquilidad, un oasis luego de Giza. Muchos mangos y agua fresca. Maghrabis es un guest house muy bien cuidado, la amabilidad de su dueño nos ha hecho sentir como en casa. Hasta hemos asistido a un baile de boda, el verdadero pueblo nubio. Las personas han sido muy amenas y serviciales. Nos han cruzado a la ciudad en su propio bote sin importar las veces que lo hemos pedido. Volveria a pasar todas mis vacaciones aqui.

Schoon, goede airco en mooie ligging. Zijn erg flexibel en vriendelijk. Reageren snel op berichten. Zeer rustig gelegen.

De accommodatie is lastig te bereiken. De accommodatie is gelegen aan de westkant van de Nijl en lastig met een auto te bereiken (laatste stukje lopen). In overleg kun je in Aswan aan de oostkant van de Nijl opgehaald of gebracht worden met een eigen boot maar dat moet dan wel ter plekke geregeld worden dus enigszins beperkt als je naar het centrum van Aswan wilt.

Best place i could ever live in here! Big enough room, extra comfy bed, very clean, very quiet! The veranda outside has an amazing Nile view for lazy evenings and dreaming! The spot is located on the West bank, easy to go to the East bank with the small boat and come back. You can also take the tuk tuk and get all around for mini shopping. But the best thing about maghrabi's is the owner! Hosam is an excellent host, very friendly and willing to make things easier for you. Smiley and kind! Of course i will stay here when i come again next year!! Hosam, thank you for everything my friend!!! Health and happiness to you and your family!!

Everything was perfect!

This guesthouse was a serene stay away from the hustle and bustle of Aswan. The staff were lovely and accommodating. Highly recommended for those wanting a peaceful stay on the west bank of Aswan.

Nothing I can think of.

This is a true hidden gem in Aswan! The location is so peaceful and beautiful and accommodation is comfortable and clean. However, the hospitality of Hossam and his brother is what makes this place unforgettable. Their home cooked meals are delicious and reasonably priced and they also offer free boat crossing to the East Bank. Truly, the people in the village are lovely and we wish we could've stayed here longer!

Struttura ben tenuta sulle riva occidentale del Nilo, colazione molto buona e abbondante e mangiare nel giardino interno con il Nilo che scorre a fianco impagabile, noi abbiamo infatti scelto anche di cenarci in quanto cena abbondante, ottima, prezzo onestissimo e in totale tranquillità lontano dalla confusione della città. Hossam sempre disponibile per qualsiasi richiesta ed ad accompagnarci e riprenderci sulla sponda opposta con la propria barca per andare in città. Bello e autentico anche il villaggio Nubiano in cui si trova questa Guest House e le tombe dei nobili molto interessanti da visitare si trovano a poche centinaia di metri, se dovessimo tornare ad Assuan sicuramente riprenoteremo questa struttura.

Nuestra estancia en Maghrabi's Guest House ha sido lo mejor de nuestros 4 días en Aswan. El lugar es un oasis en la orilla oeste del nilo (no te preocupes ellos te cruzan gratis al otro lado si lo necesitas y también te recogen 😉). Los desayunos y las cenas simplemente deliciosas y lo mejor de todo la familia que regenta el hotel son gente maravillosa que ni si quiera aceptan una propina porque su objetivo es hacerte sentir cómodo y parte de la familia (que tras más de 3 semanas recorriendo Egipto ya falta nos hacía 😊) Sin duda un acierto y recomendable 200℅ Ojala mas alojamientos siguieran esta misma filosofía. Por cierto si tienes la oportunidad no dejes de hacer con ellos una excursión de una hora por el nilo para ver las islas, el pueblo nubio y cientos de aves diferentes 😍 Volveremos pronto!

Przejechaliśmy cały Egipt – od Kairu aż po Abu Simbel – nocując w różnych miejscach: od hoteli z basenami, przez obiekty z obsługą noszącą walizki i odstawiającą samochód na parking. I właśnie dlatego mogę powiedzieć jedno: to miejsce jest absolutnie wyjątkowe. Tego, czego tu doświadczyliśmy, nie da się porównać z żadnym innym noclegiem. To nie jest tylko hotel – to klimat, spokój i energia, którą czuć od pierwszej chwili. Właściciel tworzy atmosferę, jakiej nigdzie indziej nie spotkaliśmy – robi wszystko, żeby goście czuli się dobrze. Dosłownie wszystko. Masz ochotę na konkretne jedzenie? Nie ma problemu. Tadżin z mięsem? Właściciel potrafi popłynąć łódką po składniki na drugi brzeg Nilu i po chwili masz świeży, domowy obiad. Ryba? Przypływają rybacy, wybiera najlepszą i trafia na Twój talerz. Kurczak, coś specjalnego, coś „spoza menu”? Tu nie istnieje coś takiego jak „nie da się”. Najlepszy przykład: moja żona miała ochotę na zupę o 13:00. Obsługa powiedziała, że kucharz będzie dopiero o 17:00. Po chwili pojawił się właściciel – zapytał w czym problem, uśmiechnął się i powiedział: „poczekajcie pół godziny”. I była. Najlepsza zupa, jaką jedliśmy w Egipcie. Do tego okolica – prawdziwa Nubijska miejscowość, bez sztuczności „pod turystę” – prawdziwe życie, autentyczny klimat i zero udawania.. Autentyczna, spokojna, zielona. Można usiąść wśród drzew mango i po prostu… odpocząć. Szczerze? W pewnym momencie ode chciało nam się zwiedzania – woleliśmy zostać na miejscu i chłonąć ten klimat. Pokój w stylu nubijskim – czysty, klimatyczny. Śniadania bardzo dobre. Ceny naprawdę niskie jak na jakość, którą się dostaje. Zorganizował nam też rejs po Nilu – około 5 godzin za 25 USD za dwie osoby. Bez problemu, bez kombinowania. Jeśli ktoś szuka spokoju, autentycznego Egiptu, świetnego jedzenia i miejsca z duszą – to jest dokładnie to.

Beautiful West Bank location in Nubian Aswan. It was peaceful and far from cruise port crowds and noise. The homemade food was excellent and authentic. The hotel provided a boat for easily getting into town.

No room cleaning during our visit, only a couple of packets of some purple gel for toiletries left in the shower, and the TV had only 5 working channels out of 700. The main issue was communication around costs. Note that the hotel is cash-only at checkout and there is no atm nearby.

Great location, far away from the noisy city centre but also right in the middle of a natural, family-friendly neighbourhood, among the fields and the animals! In 10 minutes (and for free!), the hotel staff will drop you off on the East bank, where you can get a taxi. Also, the room exceeded our expectations: not huge, but classy, with a beautiful bathroom and a balcony! Best value we encountered during our 1-month trip in Egypt! This place is good for birdspotting!

Les propriétaires sont d'une gentillesse incroyable ! La chambre était très bien, au calme car sur la rive ouest. Ils proposent une navette pour traverser le Nil en journée gratuitement (et avec un supplément si départ avant 8h pour aller à Abu Simbel). Le petit déjeuner est très copieux, possibilité de dîner le soir sur place (également très copieux !). Ils organisent également des transferts vers l'aéroport, même à minuit.

Very peaceful location on the West Bank, with a large garden where you can relax, eat and look at the Nile and the birds, especially in the later afternoon and early morning. Room and bathroom are large, simple but comfortable, with all you need for a few nights. The selection of dishes for dinner is limited but the food is very good and absolutely inexpensive. We ate there three nights out of three and never felt the need to go somewhere else! The staff is super kind and make you feel really at home without being intrusive in any way.

Being in a village, it is impossible not to be woken up by the call to prayer at around 4am, but one gets used to it while travelling in Egypt

Erg mooie omgeving met schaduwrijke bomen. Heel erg rustig. Het is 6 m. lopen naar de ferry, maar je ophalen en wegbrengen naar en van je verblijf doen ze met een eigen boot. Ze hebben een eigen kok, die Lekker kookt.

Uriges Guesthouse in den Feldern gegenüber von Assuan. Schöner Garten mit großen Mangobäumen. Insgesamt vier Kuppelzimmer im nubischen Stil. Bootstransfer jederzeit verfügbar. Nette Familie, die das betreibt. Schönes Frühstück, gutes Abendessen, auf das man allerdings manchmal extrem lange wartet (1:45 Stunden am ersten Abend): vorbestellen! Flughafentransfer perfekt. Schöne Feluccafahrt organisiert. Barzahlung fürs Essen und Fahrten erforderlich.

Essenskarte wäre gut, und die Wartezeit darauf: siehe oben.

El lugar es lindo y el personal es muy amable, tiene un patio con bastante sombra donde se puede estar para escapar del calor, el desayuno es abundante y sabroso, las camas y habitaciones también eran cómodas

It's a quiet, cosy place with a home stay vibe. You're pretty much on your own. As a solo female traveller I felt very comfortable during my stay at Maghrabi's They also provide a packed breakfast ( even at 3 am! ) and help make travel arrangements. I got a good deal on my shared transfer to Luxor.. If you're looking for a place with a bit of quiet and warm Nubian hospitality, this is your place!

Since you have to use the boat to get in or get out, it requires a bit of planning during your tours.

Posizione suggestiva sul Nilo, a pochi passi dalle tombe dei Nobili. Camere semplici e pulite. Nonostante non tutto lo staff parli bene l'inglese, la gentilezza e la disponibilità favoriscono la comunicazione. Colazione buona, possibilità di cenare nella struttura con piatti semplici e genuini. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Notre coup de cœur de notre voyage en Egypte. Petit déjeuner les pieds dans le sable au bord du Nil dans le calme face à l’agitation de la ville. L'hébergement est tres bien, la Wi-Fi excellente. Le personnel au petit soin. Ils nous ont organisé le trajet pour Abu Simbel, sortie en felouque... Nous étions pendant la coupe d'Afrique et avons meme assisté au match dans le petit salon de thé du village, un super souvenir ! Vous pouvez également manger sur place si vous le souhaitez, la nourriture est bonne et typique de la région. Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement. Le petit plus la navette en felouque qui relie l'hôtel à l'autre rive avec son super chauffeur ( tres gentil avec les enfants). Nous profitons de ce commentaire pour remercier toute l'équipe présente pendant notre séjour (mi janvier ) et merci encore pour le crocodile en bois qui plaît beaucoup à notre fils !

I had a wonderful stay at this guest house. It’s such a peaceful place, surrounded by nature, which made it incredibly relaxing. At the same time, it’s very conveniently located with easy access to the city — the perfect balance between tranquility and accessibility. The staff were exceptionally friendly and supportive, always ready to help with anything we needed. They truly made us feel welcome. The breakfast was also very good, fresh, and a great way to start the day. I highly recommend this guest house to anyone looking for a calm and comfortable stay close to the city.

Die wunderschöne ruhige und grüne Lage auf der anderen Seite des Nil. Man wird kostenlos mit dem Boot auf die Stadtseite gebracht. Die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber. Der schön beleuchtete Garten, in dem wir gefrühstückt und zu Abend gegessen haben. Das beste Frühstück das wir in Ägypten bekommen haben!

I like the peaceful environment and the garden by River Nile a lot!! Staff are super friendly. Breakfast and coffee are also quite good. You feel very relaxing when staying here. It’s very good value for money.

I’m so sorry to say that the only downside is the location. It is a bit inconvenient for me as all tour operators asked me to meet up at KFC (East Bank) and to go there from the guesthouse, I would have to go to East Bank by boat and then change to a taxi and vice versa. Of course I can also hire a private boat for the trip and pay 300 EGP. Secondly, I would also appreciate it if the guesthouse could send me instructions as to how to get to their place from the airport. On the map, it looks very straightforward but it’s totally not the case in reality. My taxi driver was very lost when getting close to Maghrabi’s guesthouse and the journey just became so long. In the end, he decided to call the guesthouse for directions and then realised accessing from the west side (last 200 meters) could only be done by a tuktuk. Had I known that, I would have gone to East Bank and then go to the guesthouse by boat.

Amazing location and great atmosphere next to the Nile river. We loved the views of the river every morning and the many places where you can relax. The rooms were cosy and designed in a traditional and authentic Nubian style, outstanding! The Tombs of the Nobles are just a few minutes of walking away. They also offer a free ferry to Aswan city centre!

Quality of the food could be improved, we would have loved to have an Egyptian breakfast instead of a western style breakfast.

Het was een klein familie gasthuis. De gastheer van de accommodatie, Hosan , was geweldig. Hij heeft ons van de westoever naar de oostoever gebracht en opgehaald voor ‘ free’. We kregen ook een verse verwelkom drankje. De accommodatie was aan de Nijl en had een mooi uitzicht over de Nijl( zie de foto’s). Het ontbijt was ook geweldig.

The staff were amazing

Nice and friendly staff, cute room, clean bathroom, and the breakfast is good.

The location is hard to find, and the road to the place was rutted and uneven. I paid 800 pounds for the pick up service the next morning, and they charge me another 800 pounds before I left the place, I understand that there should be a late check out fee since I checked out at 3pm, but I already told the staff about the late check out in the morning and he didn’t take the extra money I offered, I packed all my luggage and left the room key to the place at 3pm, and told one of the staff that I will come back to pick up my luggage at night. Btw most of the staff can barely speak English…When I came back for the luggage, the man on the phone said I need to pay another $15 which is 750 pounds, kept yelling “seven hundred and fifty” on the phone… I mean I am ok with the payment, I even planned to pay more because the staff were so friendly, but for this kind of payment, I’d prefer to be informed in advance, not until last minute, not a very good experience in the end.

The owner and staff were extremely helpful and warm. Always tried to be as accommodating as possible. Very honest people too. A few times I almost overpaid and each time the owner corrected me. Nubian style room was my favorite during my entire two week trip in Egypt (also been to Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, and Abu Simbel). The dinners I had (Kofta one night, chicken the other) was also my favorite during my trip. And I’ve even to Khufu (ranked 4th best restaurant in the Middle East) and Zooba (ranked 21st best restaurant in the Middle East). I liked my meal at Maghrabi’s more. If I ever come back to Aswan I will definitely book here again.

Quiet. Outside table area is right on the NIle and was great for dinner 2 nights and for drinks. Willingness to pick us up with their boat and helped arrange a ride on a felucca.

Forgot we needed to cross river early to catch tour to Abu Simbel. Fortunately we were able to grab another boat and cross on time.

El lugar es mágico, soñado. Las vistas al río. Se siente paz. El personal excelente, nos ayudó y recomendó en todo momento. Estan a disposición para cruzarte del otro lado del rio si necesitas. El desayuno es abundante y muy rico. Tienen restaurante y la comida es super fresca. Sin duda volveríamos a Maghrabis.

During the three stays I had in Aswan, Maghrabi's Guest house was by far the best experience ever. The place feels like a small paradise, surrounded by mango trees and located directly on the banks of the Nile. I had booked only three nights, but as soon as I arrived, I decided to extend my stay to more than ten days. The surrounding area is a very clean and peaceful environment. The owners are extremely kind, generous, and welcoming. Breakfast is absolutely wonderful. The place also provides a boat that can take you to the other side of the Nile if you want to explore the city, available free of charge from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. They also have a very skilled chef, and having dinner there is an experience you will never regret. The prices are very reasonable as well. I highly recommend trying the fried fish with rice. Special thanks to Mr. Taha, the manager, for his kindness and generosity. I even asked for a boat trip to Kitchener’s Island, and he refused to charge me for it, even though it was supposed to be an extra service that was not originally included. They also arranged an airport transfer for me at a very reasonable price. Many thanks as well to Mr. Hossam and Mr. Sayed for their politeness, kindness, and warm hospitality. This is definitely an experience I will repeat again.

The room lighting needs some improvements, but this was not a major issue for me.

Le site est agréable, la vue sur le Nil est vraiment exceptionnelle. Petit déjeuner au soleil très sympa. La chambre aussi est moderne et agréable. La possibilité d'avoir des repas est très pratique car l'espace est isolé.

Justement, il y a le pour et le contre dans l'isolement du lieu. Je trouve que le service de bateaux qui amène à la rive Est d'Assouan est trop limité (il n'y a qu'un seul lieu de dépose). On devrait avoir la possibilité, au moins une fois le matin et une fois le soir, d'être déposé dans un endroit plus pratique/touristique, car l'endroit ou l'on nous dépose sur la rive Est n'est pas central et n'est pas la meilleure partie d'Assouan. Donc on doit prendre un taxi après pour rejoindre des lieux touristiques.

This place is very relaxing, in the nature. Amazing view, the rooms were very clean, the food was delicious homemade, and they provide vegetarian food. The staff so friendly and helpful, the location incredibly well. I will recommend it to everyone and I will definitely visit it again.

El hotel está a lado del río nilo por lo cual las vistas son impresionantes, el hotel es hermoso ,las habitaciones demasiado acogedoras y con detalles lindos ,todo estaba bastante limpio y bien cuidado. El personal es extremadamente amable ,te ayudan y te hacen sentir como en casa ,el desayuno es delicioso y vasto ,tienen en el menú una especialidad del pescado en el nilo el cual es el mejor platillo qué he probado de ese tipo en Egipto. El dueño y su hermano me ayudaron a gestionar un tour por abu simbel a buen precio y todo organizado perfectamente. Es mi segunda vez viajando por Egipto y hospedarme en este hotel fue la mejor experiencia de mi viaje ,viajando como mujer en 1 mes.

The location opp to Nile and the peace .

The access to the property. We had to carry our luggage at late night as our flight was delayed. No proper road access for big van to go in. Also something more for vegetarian breakfast option would have been better .

Best views from West banks and amazing stay just side of the nile river

Very beautiful and relaxed Nubian guest house right next to the Nile. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, and very responsive online. The room was spacious, clean, and the facilities were very good.
