The venue has so much potential, it is really quiet if one does not mind the dirt road (which was in good condition, even after heavy rain). The bed was comfortable.

I never received instructions as to how to enter the property. When I phoned, the staff member was quite rude, as if I was supposed to know what "the middle one" is. She also did not tell me to go to the residence.I landed up at the resort gate. When I phoned, the same rude attitude told me I am supposed to go to the residence. It is quite confusing. There are NO plug points in the room, except for one on the floor behind a heavy chair. When asking her for a extension to plug in my CPAP, she just pointed and said "it's there". As if a 63 year old guest must move a heavy chair abd crawl on the floor.....There were no bedside lamps (or plugs). The main lights cannot dim, which means blazing overhead lights while reading in bed. There is no place to put a suitcase. When I asked for something to put my suitcase on, she just pointed out the wardrobe and said "in there". No mirror in the bathroom. No toiletteries, except for a suspicious looking watery substance in an unlabeled bottle. What it was, I have no idea. The water was cold in the evening despite running it for about 20 minutes (what a WASTE of water). The water was cold again the next morning, despite running it so long again. When I reported it, she told me the water is warm. In my room it was stone cold. Then a guy was called in, and he did not believe me either. I think I know the difference between hot and cold water on a cold rainy day. The bedroom doors are glass......so the room stays lit when the living area lights are on. I asked, and I was told the lights get switched off. At 2am I was still waiting, so I had to go and search for the light switches myself. The blinds in front of the windows have metal rods at the bottom, which knocks on the frames. It is impossible to sleep! I booked for 2 nights.....I checked out after the first. This place is not worth it if a paying guest is treated like that. I cannot believe that a self-proclaimed upmarket place is run so badly.

It was beautifully decorated and spacious, both the house and the yard. I particularly enjoyed the pool. It is large enough as well as deep enough to enjoy swimming in it. The backyard also has a beautiful view, especially of the sunset. I liked driving past animals. Great property overall and experience.

I would have like for my room to have an en suite. Having to leave my room to shower and use the bathroom was a little bit of an inconvenience, especially because across our room was another booked room so I couldn’t necessarily walk around freely from my room to our designated shower/bathroom. But this was not too much of an issue overall.

The housekeeping ladies were absolutely exceptional. They made our stay so much more comfortable and easy to navigate our whole stay. Absolutely loved them!

That the prices went up for the game drive while we were there already. No communication was given prior to our arrival. That would have made our stay more enjoyable but we missed out of the game drive due to this sudden price change

The staff was so friendly, kind and very helpful. Mavis is the absolute best. It was my 1st time to experience a resort or lodge call you on the day of travel to wish you a safe journey and we didn't arrive on time Mavis called to find out if we are okay only to find we were lost and at the neighboring resort. She called us again and made sure we reached the resort without further issues.

It was serene and very relaxing. Loved taking the game drive and seeing lovely game in their habitat.. too 😍 cute. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming they made our stay very comfortable.

There was'nt ánything we didnt like

The hospitality of Mam'Maggie was great. She handled the room mix-up situation well and we ended up being at ease. The dam view which was the main reason we visited the property, was breathtaking. Seeing Giraffes so up close was also satisfying. We were fortunate enough to go stay at House number 2 due to the room mix-up and there we had peace and quiet.

The room blocking system when booking must be monitored to avoid further confusion for the guests and the hostesses. The house up keep needs to be looked at. There are a few items that where broken, deteriorating and visible water leaks in the presidential unit. A better couch should be considered and the pool was not working even after we reported it to the management who visited the site. We considering coming back with the big family and it would be nice to have all these resolved for a better stay.

The stay was great stuff was helpful easy check-In with no issues. Property was peaceful and quiet just exaclt how it's advertised on the ad.

Some direction on the trail to the house especially when checking in the first time it can get scary in the bushes some direction would help.

I am not sure if there was a confusion, I booked for bed and breakfast, and when I got to the place I made arrangements for dinner , but upon departure I was informed that breakfast was not included in the bookings and I had to pay extra. The experience was very shocking and I am still not sure what happened there. So I will appreciate it if the process can be explained better for any future reference/ visitors upon arrival.

I did not like the place!!!

The staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the two ladies who worked there—they provided excellent service and were the highlight of our stay. However, I felt the property was not accurately represented in the advertised photos. The images showed a beautiful place with well-maintained grounds and stunning views, but the reality was quite different. The grass and yard were not properly maintained, which took away from the overall appearance of the lodge. In addition, the lapa area was far too small to accommodate all the guests. As a result, we often had to stay inside our room while others occupied the common area and enjoyed the view. This was disappointing, as one of the main reasons we chose the lodge was for the outdoor space and scenery shown in the advertisements. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place unless you are visiting as part of a large group and have exclusive use of the facilities. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations.

Everything was exceptional. The resort was beautiful and peaceful and the staff made the stay even better. A special shoutout to Sister Maggy and Mavis for being so friendly and welcoming, and the rest of the staff were just as friendly throughout our stay.

The property has beautiful views, animals, and dam everything was amazing. I really enjoyed my stay. I also want to thank the staff for their good service. They were motivated to learn sign language, and even the garden staff knew some sign language. We were shocked and very interested. It made us feel welcome and comfortable.

The route (dirt road) to get to the house is a bit rough. 4x4 or SUV type vehicle would be optimal

Our booking included a free breakfast but it seems they were ill prepared,were short on ingredients and breakfast was served cold. One of us required a special diet and all they could provide was eggs and toast, no variety in ingredients, preparation or dishes

Mama Magie was the best we loved her she was 100% the only reason I will book again is to see her and Mavis and that lovely place thank you so much guys my wife loved the place

Not as advertised, and several emails before payment was made and departure. 2 x houses advertised, but one is a catered facility, the other a separate house to be rented, which we got. No Braai facilities, No table on verandah, Only 4 x camping chairs for 10 x guests. We were told to take the inside table to the verandah so that we have seating for our 10 x guests. Swimming pool doesn't hold water! Power issues, Had to use a lead from another part of the house. No Hot water while the geyser was off. No water in 4 x other rooms. One kitchen cupboard full of termites. Some ceilings are full of visible damp. Maggy the cleaner tried to assist without any success. A Maintenance guy George came to fill up the swimming pool twice during the weekend. I spoke and emailed Candice via Bookings.com and all photos and correspondence on record. Photos can be supplied when and where necessary. I am so disappointed in this experience as it was my family birthday weekend and will not in future use or trust any information supplied or given by Booking.com. Please see all my emails before booking was confirmed and paid to understand the context of having a Braai facility at the premises. I Reserve my rights herein, especially due to the huge disappointment of my family members who travelled far to join in my celebrations with such disasters that happened around us.

Sharing bathroom and limited options in breakfast there was no option for juice only coffee and tea were options for breakfast

Oh how I loved this place… I booked the presidential suite and I loved everything about it 👌🏽 my favourite room is the huge bathroom ❤️The views from the room were top tier ❤️ The staff oh I loved their hospitality Mavis welcomed us and mama cooked for us so well we really enjoyed their company ❤️❤️

Not much just that I wish there were some nearby activities to do because it gets boring so I would recommend maybe investing in a boat or fishing.
