Carolina was a pleasure. She was always helpful and kind. Breakfast was very good, our room and bathroom was large. Everything was clean. The property and views are beautiful.

It’s a very small thing, but a bar of soap would have been convenient for showering, as we did not bring any of our own.

The hotel is beautifully located and offers great views. The building is historical and the rooms are very lovely and spacious with a very big bathroom (there's no bathroom door, however, and the mirrors are placed in such a way that you can see each other using the toilet from the bedroom...) We also had dinner in their own restaurant, which we highly recommend, as it was really tasty. They also make their own house wine, which was lovely, too. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

We'd have appreciated for the reception to be either staffed or available via telephone. There was nobody upon our arrival and we had to wait for about 15 mins and when we wanted to check-out and pay for the minibar, there was nobody either, hence we just left, which is not what we would normally do.

A Quinta é muito bonita e tem um espaço envolvente muito agradável e cuidado. Fomos muito bem acolhidas e sentimo-nos muito confortáveis durante toda a estadia. Uma experiência muito positiva!

Le logement est calme et bien entretenu avec des meubles d époque bien armoise. Le lit très confortable et une salle d eau propre. Dommage toutefois que les parterres du jardin en contrebas de la piscine soit défraîchi pas beaux. Le personnel très ailables et aux petits soins. Le restaurant servit avec beaucoup d'attention du serveur et bien conseillé. Le petits déjeuner servit à table très copieux et excellentv

Seul le jardin en contrebas de la piscine mériterai des arbustes et fleurs pour donner une vue magnifique et un lieux de détente.

Very relaxing place, a mini village inside the city. Pool area very chill and relaxing. Staff extremely heplful and knowledgeable about Viseu and local attractions. Restaurant very high quality with great wine. Calm atmosphere and spacious room.

La quinta es muy bonita, bien ubicada y muy bien atendida por su anfitriona. La habitación superó mis expectativas, el desayuno abundante y delicioso. Es un buen sitio para descansar y comer bien.

L’accueil, particulièrement chaleureux. Les chambres spacieuses, neuves, propres, la literie très confortable, climatisée et le calme. Nous avons dîné dans le restaurant qui se situe en dessous des chambres. Repas exceptionnel avec une mousse au chocolat absolument excellente ! Un petit déjeuner servi à table, très copieux, avec les maracujas du jardin 🤩

Spacious room and very confortable bed. The deco of the Quinta is amazing, we loved the mix of modern with classic interior design. Unfortunately a very short stay as it was a one night sleepover, but definetely worth a second visit with enough time to explore this great place. And thank you for the host for accomodating the late arrival and check-in.

Cama cómoda y grande , habitación agradable y limpia, aparcamiento para coche accesible y próximo al centro,, tiene una bonita sala para tomar tus cosas con vasos ,cubiertos , nevera tés y café de cortesía.

Piscina con mantenimiento insuficiente, hierbas por los bordes y agua algo turbia. Jardines en obras y un poco descuidados.

Jammer dat zwembad nog niet schoon gemaakt was toen we aankwamen. We zwommen tussen stofzuiger door. En we hadden heel graag hier willen eten, maar op dinsdag is restaurant dicht. Jammer!

Excellent location, safe area to walk our dogs & park the car, room was very very nice, I think the only slight downside was breakfast was served downstairs in a very damp / wet restaurant area, almost felt like it had had a water leak or something but the floor was soaking wet.

There were far too many flies whilst we were eating our breakfast unfortunately. It would have been nice if we’d been asked what time we preferred breakfast as there was only us dining. Cleaner walked in the room 2hrs before check out time.

An old building made modern inside for guests comfort. On arrival we drove through a very busy Viseu and wondered what we had let ourselves in for, but one right turn a quiet road led us into the property, it was like an oasis in the middle of nowhere, so quiet and a peaceful haven with plenty of car parking right by the front door. Very good room with plenty of space. Very good restaurant, good food and wine selection, very friendly waiter with good English spoken, he made our evenings very worthwhile. Very good location for touring the area, once you got out of Viseu

Read reviews of the breakfast being expensive for what you get and we really agree. Also breakfast was very late for us so we hand to negotiate an earlier time but still to late for us.

A wonderful place to stay! The garden and pool are beautiful and provide the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Just 9 min drive to Lousa. One of the highlights was the breakfast, lovingly prepared by the 81-year-old owner. Everything was fresh and homemade, including delicious jams, fruit from the garden, and an amazing orange cake that she baked herself. You could truly feel the care and passion that went into every detail. A very warm and charming place with a personal touch that made our stay special. Highly recommended!

This charming Quinta offers spotless rooms and a welcoming atmosphere. Our room had recently received a new bed, and both the generous size and especially the soft mattress were a very pleasant surprise. The bathroom had also been freshly renovated, with a noticeable focus on sustainability that fitted well with the overall character of the property. One of the highlights of the stay was the owner, who took the time during check-in to share the history of the building and explain the ongoing restoration efforts. It was genuinely interesting to hear about the property’s past and the care being invested into preserving it.

The only service-related issue occurred upon arrival. We had confirmed our arrival time approximately 30 minutes beforehand (which was reconfirmed), but when we arrived, nobody answered the doorbell. We also called the provided phone number and tried the QR-code doorbell system, with the later being inactive. After waiting around ten minutes, we were fortunate that other residents arrived and were able to contact the owner using a mobile number they had. Given that we had confirmed our arrival shortly beforehand and attempted all three available contact methods, a smoother arrival process would have been appreciated. The Quinta is located around 1.5 km outside the town centre, only a five-minute drive away but somewhat too far for a comfortable walk (of which we were aware of before booking). Unfortunately, despite the more rural location, the surroundings were not quite as peaceful as we had expected: There are numerous dogs in the neighborhood, some kept in gardens or patios, and various barking could be heard both late in the evening and early in the morning. This is, of course, not something the Quinta itself can control, and the thick walls do a good job of reducing the noise, but guests who are particularly noise-sensitive may find it affects the overall experience. Breakfast is available as an optional extra, but we chose not to try it as the price, even if organic and homemade, appeared noticeably higher than what we found at several breakfast and brunch cafés in Viseu, making local alternatives seem the more attractive option.

What a pleasant surprise in Viseu. Quinta de Marzovelos seamlessly blends historic, rustic charm with upscale comfort. The service is top-notch, the rooms are pristine, We checked in late and unfortunately didn't get to explore the grounds or restaurant.

The room has no charm whatsoever, and the bed is not comfortable. But most importantly, this place has a dog that sleeps outside and barks all night, responding to nearby dogs. This means we could not sleep at all. In addition, the property was getting ready for the high season, but was not ready yet

Een praatje maken met de gasten is ok, maar teveel persoonlijke info is niet nodig. Graag meer aandacht voor de gasten dan voor persoonlijke situatie… Ontbijt om half 10 is laat.

Ein schönes Anwesen am Rande von viseu mit schöner Aussicht. Die Besitzer waren super freundlich und sympathisch. Parkplätze sind vorhanden und sicher. Es gibt eine gemeinschaftliche Küche und Terrasse, einen Garten und Pool. Ein Restaurant ist dort vorhanden. Reservierung notwendig, gehobene Preisklasse. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist mit antiken Möbeln. Die Zimmer sind groß. Es ist sehr ruhig.

Ein einchecken vor 15 Uhr war nicht möglich. Auf den Zimmer gab es keinen Fernseher und Wasserkocher. (Es gab einen Raum zum gemeinsamen Fernsehen und einen Wasserkocher im anderen Hausteil)

На мой вкус расположение отличное: как раз в этом месте заканчиваются городские дома и начинаются поля и фермы. 15 мин пешком (в горку) - и оказываешься в центре города. Музеи, собор, старинные улочки. Если на машине - то до центра 2 минуты. Но с парковкой в центре города всегда непросто, поэтому мы ходили пешком. Просторная бесплатная парковка есть на Cava do Viriato, там, где памятник герою Вириату; там приятное место для прогулок. Рядом с фермой есть электрические зарядки для автомобилей. Чтобы начать заряжать машину, надо позвонить по указанному на стойке телефону и попросить включить зарядку. Ферма очень милая, все чисто, уютно. Было так тихо, что мы думали - мы единственные гости; но на завтрак приходили еще 2 семьи. На ферме отличный ресторан, мы там ужинали. В выходные в обед обычно приезжали большие компании - крестины, etc; но это не мешало, так как днем мы были в городе. Завтрак подают в ресторане (не шведский стол). Стандартно, но качественно: чай, кофе, круассан, булочки. Сыр, ветчина, джем, фрукты - все по несколько сортов. Рекомендую.

Прошу прощения, но следовало бы сделать вентиляцию в туалете, чтобы после душа не проветривать через дверь :)

Good quiet location with comfy beds.

There was no soap in the shower and no loo roll. There was also no socket near to one side of the bed. The host was particularly welciming when we first arrived.

Uma extensa quinta remodelada com quartos muito confortáveis e camas tão macias que parece que dormimos em cima de nuvens. Bonita decoração. Apesar de ter um restaurante por baixo do edifício não ouvimos qualquer tipo de barulhos. Fica muito perto do centro de Viseu. A anfitriã Carolina foi de uma imensa simpatia e esteve sempre pronta a ajudar. Como prometido vamos voltar :-)
