The location is great and they were very helpful in getting me a taxi for the airport on my departure day.

I cannot recommend this property to stay. I honestly cannot understand how so many people left a 10/10 review describing it as “an oasis of quiet”. - The insulation: there is none. Walls are made of cheap fake-wood panels probably clipped onto one another and therefore you can hear everything from under, above, next to you, from everywhere really. It also applies to the temperature. The room was a furnace upon arriving and it took a good three hours for the A/C to cool the room properly. What other reviews fail to mention is that the property is located right next to a car park spanning several floors so cars and bikes will come and go from the adjacent street. There are also electric pillars (some sort of tiny electrical station) right in front of the property which also makes a buzzing noise from time to time. Plus the stray dogs barking around the property some time at night. The A/C is also loud. Believe me, earplugs will not cut the noise in the least. - The cleaning: I asked for my room to be cleaned the first few nights I was there and then gave up as I felt I was being annoying. The last two nights were spent in an unclean room. No one asked for my key to clean the room and even bothered to go empty the bins. Getting the key back was a challenge as there never was anyone at reception except in the evening. - The smoking area: why on earth would you put a smoking area next to the bathroom? How nice to take a shower and then go through the smoke of cigarettes. - The bathroom: if you happen to be located next to the outdoor bathroom and it rains, take some slippers with you. When the rain stops the floor isn’t wiped and going barefoot on the wet floor will likely result in a fall. I slipped on the floor and nearly feel several times. The no-shoes policy will have to be voided just so that you don’t break your neck. That mostly applies in the off-season. - The staff: the welcome was really really poor. Not a smile, no explanation.

C'est déjà mon troisième passage dans cette guest house. Un havre de paix dans la fourmilière. Une vraie immersion dans la vie traditionnelle thaï. À deux pas de Samsen Road et de ses distraction et du port de Tewet. Une pépite, Je recommande vivement.

Nice location... But the room was more or less windowless and the walls really thin. Its okay, but you can find nicer in the area.

Purtroppo sia la posizione dell’hotel non era comodo per poter passeggiare a piedi dalla città quindi sei costretto a prenotare un taxi per qualsiasi cosa. Inoltre l’aria condizionata dava sul letto quindi la notte era difficile da affrontare perché con l’aria condizionata faceva freddo e senza faceva caldo.

Tavee Guesthouse feels like a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city. The location is fantastic—perfect for exploring all the main sights, and everything is super clean, warm, and comfortable. The hosts are amazing and charming. We actually stayed here again because it really feels like a home away from home. A huge thank you to the wonderful owners for making our stay so special—you guys are truly amazing! We will definitely repeat whenever we visit again. Highly recommended—100%!

Cette guesthouse est vraiment typique. Les chambres sont posées sur un plancher en bois ciré qui craque sous les pas, il y a peu d’isolation phonique, mais on se sent en Asie, loin de la foule du centre. L’emplacement est top car on accède en 5-10mn à peine à l’embarcadère sur le Chao Phraya, qui représente une belle alternative aux « Grab ». Et le meilleur pour la fin, les hôtes sont extrêmement sympathiques et les douches et toilettes communes sont impeccables. Petit-déjeuner possible sur place.

Il fait vraiment chaud la nuit et un simple ventilateur peut ne pas être suffisant pour certains.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet adorable guesthouse, situé au bout d’une allée verte. Les proprios super accommodants nous ont permis de ranger nos sacs avant notre check -in et après notre check-out, ainsi que d’utiliser les douches. Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié le quartier, avec le marché à quelques pas et un quai au bout de la rue.

Nothing had a good stay

L'endroit est reposant quand on revient du centre de Bangkok. Nous y avons passé deux nuits, tout s'est très bien passé.

La chambre est mal insonorisée. Ce n'est pas un problème en soi mais nous sommes mal tombés : une famille très bruyante logeait au-dessus de nous...

Accueil absolument incroyable, personnel très agréable, hyper serviable, locaux très propres, douches spacieuses et propres, des petits endroits pour manger en extérieur, tout était parfait nous avons relouer ici pour la fin de notre séjour au retour à Bangkok ☺️ également proche du centre ville (à 20-30 min en voiture en fonction du trafic ou 1h20 à pied).

I had gotten a cold because of the AC at another hotel so instead I booked a room with fan at Tavee on the 1st floor but that was also a mistake because the temperatures were unbearable. If it’s May or June, I absolutely don’t recommend booking a room without AC. The house is build traditionally I believe, a lot of wood so the heat would go up and stay in the room. It was almost impossible to sleep. I had to go down to sit the reception 2 a day and often take showers to cool down a little. The staff were really sweet and offering cold water on multiple occasions because they knew the struggle 🙏🏿

A savoir: les salles de bain et toilettes sont communes pour l'ensemble des chambres mais on arrive à prendre les douches de bonne heure.

The room was simple, clean, secure. It provided both a fan and air conditioning, which made the experience that much more pleasant. I liked the “no shoes” policy. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate and the staff was both friendly and knowledgeable. There were plenty of food options nearby. I’d definitely recommend this place as a worthy expenditure.

Thank you for our lovely stay! This was the first stay of our backpacking trip - it was a perfect calm oasis to escape the chaos of a busy day in Bangkok! The guesthouse was spotless, staff were lovely & welcoming. They even held our bags for us and let us come back to shower after checking out before getting our night train onwards!

It was super quiet when we stayed so we didn’t see any other people - this isn’t necessarily a bad thing (we also visited in low season!) but potentially not ideal for people looking for somwhere super social!

Fantastic. The ‘mom and pop’ of this establishment (and their friends) are really warm and accommodating. They’ll make you feel at home and chill while in crazy Bangkok. BEAUTIFUL establishment, with a mix of indoor/outdoor, natural/modern areas and settings. All the crucial amenities - bathrooms, AC, fridge - are all modern and well kept up. A clean place, with diligent staff. The building is rambling, so you might have a room at the first staircase, or in the back, or along a side corridor - the variety of options and settings is nice. The walls can seem a little thin at times, but since I was in an upper back room it was very quiet and calm most the time. The owners are so sweet. I would see the ‘pop’ out walking around sometimes, and often when I came in he’d be sitting out front and make sure to stop me and give me water bottles (for free) before I went up for the night. The guest house staff were all so gentle and accommodating. I was often stopped to ask if I wanted my room cleaned. When they would do it, they would change my bedding, empty the trash, provide new towels, and tidy everything up like a hotel. And the rooms were lovely. I stayed 16 days and was glad for the homier stay rather than at a hotel. The staff is really the jewel of this establishment – they make everything run so well, and they are so kind and loving. They take care of you in wonderful ways. From breakfast to laundry to fixing something in your room to getting directions - the staff is amazing. When I left after two weeks, they gave me a parting Thailand souvenir - so sweet! Overall, a fantastic stay in Bangkok. This area is in Dusit but close to Phra Nakhon, the famous “Bangkok old town“ (read that as “Khaosan Road area”). So there’s plenty to do just a bike or tuk-tuk ride away. Also, it’s close to the Chao Phraya River, and so I highly recommend crossing the Rama VIII bridge or Ratchathewi Road to check out the cool places along the river and on the other side.

Absolutely incredible. This place is a beautifully peaceful paradise in the middle of vibrant Bangkok. Its very clean and the beds are super comfortable. There is always someone from the hotel, even in the middle of the night, so I felt very safe there. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back to this place.

If you had A/C this place would be perfect.

We loved everything about this place! The smoothies were amazing.

The only issue was we’re light sleepers and our room was next to the kitchen which started work early in the morning.

The coffee was great. The rooms were nice and big. The showers were also very big and comfortable. The courtyard was so cute. Very great and pretty. Very good location. 7/11, a market and a beautiful temple right outside of the hotel.

The coffee was a little above average price (for Thailand) and there were only fans in the room which made it very hot. It may also be because that was the first place we stayed at in Thailand and weren't used to the weather.

Nagyon szép kis kertje van a szállásnak ahol kellemesen lehet reggelizni. A fürdők wc szép tiszták. Az ágy nagy és kényelmes. Van szúnyogháló a szoba ablakain

Vékonyak a falak így ha olyan szomszédod van akkor ez zavaró lehet éjszaka. Nincs sok pakolófelület a szobában. De ez érthető is a hely stílusa miatt. Csak így nehezebb megtalálni a táskában a dolgokat.

We loved our stay here! Best value for money in the whole of bangkok! Tavee guesthouse felt like home, a calm oasis from the chaos of the city.

Stuff is very friendly and the place is really nice, clean and safe. You can even leave luggage in a storage room after you check out and you still want to explore Bangkok. I would book again this place for sure.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, the property was clean and had lots of space to relax.

We didnt book an aircon room so it was a bit hot but that was our mistake!

The staff at TAVEE Guesthouse were wonderful. I stayed there for 3 nights and each day they gave me two bottles of cold water which I really appreciated. The communal bathrooms, common areas and room were all very clean. It's a lovely location with many locals, I felt separated from the chaos of the touristy areas of Bangkok which I liked. Although it does take some time to travel into the city centre (about 15-30 minutes by Grab depending on traffic).

Unfortunately when I arrived, I found that the room I booked (double room with fan) was far too hot and I knew I wasn't going to be able to survive sleeping through the heat. However I did manage to have my room changed to one with A/C and the staff were extremely helpful with assisting me with switching rooms. I wouldn't recommend the fan room, especially when visiting in the very hot season but the A/C room was excellent.

I have stayed at this guesthouse several times over many years, so it holds nostalgia for me.

Communication could be better. I sent messages requesting room on lower floor and messages were not answered. I was not able to secure a room downstairs.

Nous adorons, c'est la 4 ème fois que nous venons, c'est comme en famille. Ultra propre, simple, super petit déjeuner. On aime ce quartier authentique car facile de se déplacer en bateau métro.

Le lieu est très calme, loin de l'effervescence de la ville c'est agréable après une longue journée à arpenter la ville ! Le personnel est très gentil, la guest house est super propre ! La chambre individuelle climatisée est très appréciable et j'ai eu la place d'étaler toutes mes affaires ! Le petit déjeuner est délicieux ! C'est un vrai havre de paix

Si j'ai quelque chose à redire (c'est vraiment du détail) je dirais que le lit était un peu trop sur et les oreillers un peu trop haut, mais j'ai tout de même bien dormi et j'ai pu me remettre rapidement du décalage horaire 😉 Prévoyez de prendre le taxi et le bateau pour vous balader dans BKK, le métro et la ligne BTS sont loin. La chambre donne sur une cour intérieure sombre mais ça ne m'a pas dérangé, je n'y étais que le soir pour dormir :)
