We chose Agro Village for our kite surf vacations and we stayed there for 6 days. We found this place lovely regarding the location as it is located only 5’ away from Kappalady lagoon. The cottage offers rental options on fair prices so transportation does not have to worry you. The food was really tasty as everything comes straight from the nature (papayas, bananas, coconuts, eggs) The stuff was really kind and helpful with everything! The whole resort is located in a palm tree field so you literally live in the nature. As we decided to travel in the main land for the rest of our vacations, our hostess arranged to send us our kite surf equipment straight in the airport the day we had our flight so we were able to visit a lot of places without carrying the board bag with us. We highly recommend this place if you want to feel and taste the authentic Sri Lankan vibes of the nature and the kindness of the people as well as for kitesurfing activities in Kapalady lagoon!( TIP! When you go to Kapallady choose the KITE BUDDIES school instead of others because this place has the best vibes all around Kappalady plus they offer you assistance for only 1500Rs per person (pumping your kite, trimming your bar, launching-landing your kite, rescues if you need it), plus they have a coffee shop if you want to drink your espresso and have something to eat!

De locatie ligt op 10 minuten fietsen van het strand en de lagoon om te kitesurfen. Het zwembad is heerlijk, de kamers zijn prima. Een ruim 2persoonsbed en genoeg kastruimte. De koude douche went ook. Het is echt een locatie om te kiten, beetje bij zwembad in de mooie tuin verblijven.

We lazen reviews over super vriendelijke eigenaar maar die hebben we amper gezien of gesproken. Dat was jammer. De kok was de hele dag aanwezig en heeft ons super geholpen maar door beperkt Engels konden we niet veel vragen of overleggen. De locaties ligt op 15-20 minuten met een tuktuk naar restaurantjes voor ‘s avonds en pick me werkte niet altijd. Diner bij de locatie is prima om te doen zodat je niet weg hoeft.

For the price all what was provided was good.

We really loved our stay in Agro village! The people were so nice and kind and made everything to perfection also for our child and baby. They did special meals every day without spices for the kids and very tasty stuff for us parents. Especially the pool area we loved so much as it is just lovely to swim in such a quiet place under the palm trees 🌴 It is a bit out of town but for us it was just beneficial as therefore it was also really calm and quiet.

Set in a peaceful location and simply decorated, the property was clean and exactly as displayed online. The room was spacious with powerful a/c and lovely private balcony. Great value for money. We loved the free bikes!

A few more creature comforts would have been nice - cushions for pool loungers, decor in rooms etc. it was very difficult to communicate with the staff as only the owner speaks English. A proper coffee machine would really elevate the breakfast experience.

Sehr ruhige Lage inmitten von Feldern. Ein toller und neuer Pool. Kostenlose Fahrräder standen zur Verfügung, um zum Strand zu fahren. Der war ca. 15 Minuten entfernt.

Es gab kein warmes Wasser in der Dusche. Bei den Temperaturen war das aber nicht schlimm.

Le cadre et la tranquillité du resort. La possibilité de pouvoir louer un scooter pour un prix raisonnable. La gentillesse du personnel.

Les environs ne sont pas très touristiques et plutôt recommandés pour les personnes en quête de tranquillité ou pour les passionnés de kite surf. Les repas sur place sont bons mais plus chers que tout ce que nous avons vu en quatre semaines.

Dinner and breakfast were great. Love that there’s free bikes (need them to go and do anything). Very peaceful. Pool looks lovely, though I didn’t use it. Great tree top view from balcony, but lots of ants.

Whilst I did read the other reviews, I was surprised HOW rural it actually was (google maps isn’t great at this either apparently). Also, as per other reviews, would’ve loved a mosquito net around the bed.

The house are really nice designed with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. The terras has a beautiful view on the gardens of the place which are well maintained. They have a nice place were you can relax or have your breakfast or lunch / dinner. The food served was delicious. We did a dolphin spotting trip via the hotel manager and I would really recommend it.

Ich habe den Aufenthalt im Agro Village Resort sehr genossen. Es ist unglaublich idyllisch und ruhig gelegen, inmitten von Palmenplantagen und Farmland. Man hört dort nur Vogelgezwitscher. Die Athmosphäre ist entspannend und man kann sich dort eifach erholen. Ein wunderbarer kühler Pool liegt im Schatten der Palmen. Ich war leider nur 3 Nächte dort und wäre gerne länger geblieben. Der Manager und seine Angestellten sind sehr bemüht um das Wohl der Gäste - sehr hilfsbereit und herzlich. Die Anlage liegt etwas abseits, aber es stehen Fahrräder kostenlos zur Verfügung und man könnte auch jederzeit durch das Resort ein Tuktuk bestellen lassen. Der Kappallady Beach ist in 10 Min mit dem Fahrrad zu erreichen. Auf Wunsch werden auch Ausflüge organisiert - ich habe die Delfintour gebucht und habe hunderte von Delfinen gesehen und der Anbieter war seriös.5 Frühstück und Abendessen sind sehr lecker, frisch zubereitet und aus lokalen Produkten gekocht. Danke für die tolle Zeit an Manager Anushka und seine Mitarbeitenden🙏

Très joli resort au calme dans une plantation de cocotiers. grande chambre bien climatisée, tout est propre. Equipe charmante, piscine neuve et d'une propreté irréprochable. Le propriétaire est très investi et fait tout pour que le séjour se passe bien. Il peut vous aider à organiser vos excursions, des.vélos.sont également à disposition. Enfin petit déjeuner formidable et cuisine délicieuse adaptée pour ceux qui ont du mal avec le chili ! en un mot,.pour nous PARFAIT

Staff gentilissimo e disponibilissimo. Stanze molto belle, molto ampie e pulitissime. Piscina grande e pulitissima. Per attività da fare in zona...nella maggior parte dei casi basta chiedere al proprietario quel che volete fare e lui vi aiuta ad organizzare. In generale location molto bella.

Essendo vicino alla laguna ci sono tantissime zanzare, il che limita l'uso del bordo piscina alla sera, quando se ne vanno. La spiaggia è un po' lontana ma il resort mette a disposizione biciclette gratuite con cui raggiungerla facilmente.

Heel fijne locatie waar onwijs goed voor je word gezorgd. Bijzonder mooi om te zien hoe ze alles na de cycloon zo snel opgeknapt hebben. Het is dan ook gewoon goed bereikbaar! Allereerst is er lekker veel schaduw en een mooi zwembad om in af te koelen. Het huisje waar je in verblijft is goed. De badkamer is wel deels buiten en de douche koud, maar dat vonden wij niet zo erg. De waterkoker was weg ivm stroomstoringen, maar als je ernaar vraagt, dan geven ze die meteen mee. Je kan gratis een fiets meenemen en anders ook een scooter huren. We wilden meer weten over de kokosnoot, wat ertoe leidde dat we een kookles van ze kregen en samen curry gingen maken voor het avondeten. Ontbijt en diner waren zeer uitgebreid! Ook maakten ze de dag dat we weggingen als ontbijt onze favoriete roti roll, speciaal omdat we dat zo lekker vinden en kregen zelfs extra mee voor onderweg.

Als je snel wakker bent, neem dan oordoppen mee. Eekhoorntjes en vogels zitten hoorbaar op de daken.

The stay was excellent. I received a warm welcome and was looked after with great care throughout my entire visit. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. The garden is beautiful and the fruits were served freshly picked straight from the tree. Other than that, I felt very comfortable and can wholeheartedly recommend this resort.

The bathroom could use a small upgrade and it would be nice to have toiletries such as soap and shower gel available in the future.

Lovely quiet location surrounded by quiet lanes which were perfect to explore by bike. The staff were very friendly and helpful and cooked wonderfully fragrant food

We liked the room. Comfy beds and a really nice balcony. Don’t miss some nice examples of design carpentry in the bathroom and elsewhere. Great cooking and a very helpful management and staff.

The really rural location may not suit everyone.

Wunderschön, in einer Kokosnussplantage gelegen. Zwei kleine nette Häuschen, jeweils eine Wohnung im Erdgeschoss mit Terrasse und eine oben drüber unter dem Dach mit Balkon. Ruhige entspannte Atmosphäre. Schöner Pool. Grossartiger Koch. Sowohl Frühstück wie Dinner waren abwechslungsreich, hervorragende Sri Lanka-Küche. Kostenloser Fahrradverleih (allerdings sind die Räder ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen). Man kann in 10 min zum Meer oder in ca. 2 Std. nach Kalpitiya radeln. Sehr freundlicher, hilfsbereiter Vermieter.

Die Holztüren der Unterkunft waren alt, ließen sich schlecht schließen (der Vermieter plant bereits eine Erneuerung). Die Betten waren bequem, nur quietschten sie bei jeder Bewegung fürchterlich. Haus ist generell recht hellhörig. Wir haben uns trotz allem sehr wohl dort gefühlt und würden wieder kommen.

De eigenaar, die is ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam, hij regelt alles tot in de puntjes. Daarnaast de locatie, het resort heeft een prachtige tuin. Ook ontzettend goed, uitgebreid en lekker ontbijt, het diner was van uitstekende en hoge kwaliteit. Het ligt maar 2KM van het strand en een prachtige lagune af.

Het enige wat ik kan bedenken, dat er geen klamboe om het bed zat. Dat is met de muskieten wel een must daar.

Everything! Anouska has created a very chilled haven here. He’s a great, friendly host who is very helpful. The pool and free bikes are great and the food -wow! By far the best food we had in 16 days in Sri Lanka. Anouska has a wonderful chef! All in all we could happily have stayed much longer here.

Nous avons tout aimé. Le personnel, le responsable très attentionné nous donne plein de supers infos. La chambre est tres charmante et la salle de douche extérieure tellement agréable. La piscine est magnifique et cest un plaisir de sy baigner. Les prix sont un peu élevés pour les repas et bières je trouve mais sinon notre expérience était top. Encore merci

Annuska è un host molto disponibile e attento alle esigenze dei propri ospiti. Un ottimo servizio che offre la struttura è la dotazione gratuita di alcune biciclette per poter girare facilmente nelle zone limitrofe. Pranzo e cena con offerte di menu tipici srilankesi e di ottima qualità! Inoltre la struttura propone e organizza delle attività extra come daulphin watching (noi abbiamo avuto la fortuna di vedere anche due balene)

Tutti i prezzi riportati erano i dollari e non in rupie e più alti rispetto allo standard dello srilanka, soprattutto considerando che la zona non è particolarmente turistica.

Diese Bewertung habe ich verfasst, ohne das der Gastgeber (wie fast alle anderen) darum gebeten hat.

Alles. Het resort is een klein paradijs met een prachtig zwembad, fijne grote kamers en super vriendelijk personeel. Het eten is fantastisch. Je komt hier voor de rust en om te chillen of kiten aan het strand, goed bereikbaar via de gratis fietsen. Wij zijn fan!

We spend one night at the Afro Village resort. Our group had 3 adults and 2 children. We spend one afternoon just idling in the resort. The pool and the garden were very nice for the kids to play around. The owner and staff were very accomodating and made us feel welcome. The breakfast was delicious.

Wir haben hier kurz vor und während eines Zyklons übernachtet und hätten uns keinen besseren Ort in einer solchen Extremsituation wünschen können. Obwohl wir die einzigen Gäste waren und das Gelände überschwemmt wurde, hat das Team alles gegeben. Die Verpflegung war selbst unter diesen Bedingungen hervorragend. Im gesamten Bezirk gab es einen kompletten Strom- und Netzausfall. Dank des Hotelgenerators hatten wir trotzdem immer wieder Strom und frisches Wasser aus dem Tank. Der Hotelchef hat uns aktiv unterstützt, sich ständig über die Lage informiert und nach Wegen gesucht, wie wir sicher aus dem Hochwassergebiet herauskommen. Er fuhr uns schließlich nach Sigiriya und half uns dabei, eine neue Unterkunft zu finden. Abseits der Naturgewalten ist das Hotelareal ein wunderschön versteckter Ort, ruhig, grün und mit echter Dschungel-Atmosphäre. Unter normalen Umständen wäre es ein absoluter Traum. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Zum Frühstück gab es Pancakes, frisches Obst, Eierspeisen nach Wunsch, Würstchen, frischgepressten Saft, Kaffee, Butter , Marmelade. Abends hatten wir Curry mit Reis, verschiedene Salate und Gemüse, Hähnchen, Thunfisch

leider konnten wir die Umgebung, den Strand, den Pool nicht besuchen/nutzen aufgrund des großen Unwetter

Super entspannt ist es im Agro Village Resort - wenn Ihr noch ein paar ruhige Tage in Sri Lanka haben wollt, ist das der richtige Ort. Der Host war super nett und hat bei allem weitergeholfen. Ich war der einzige Gast und mir war trotzdem nicht langweilig. In der Gegend hat es viele Farmer und es ist sehr wenig touristisch, was mir gut gefiel.

• Emplacement calme, en pleine nature, très bien aménagé. • Piscine très belle et bien entretenue. • Personnel disponible et attentif. • Bonne connexion Wifi.

• Pas d’eau chaude pour la douche. • Dommage qu’on ne puisse pas ouvrir les stores, pour profiter de la lumière extérieure et de la vue. Mais comme l’établissement se prépare pour la haute saison, on espère que toutes les petites imperfections seront réajustées d’ici la (lumière qui clignote, fuite d’eau dans la salle de bain, store qui ne remonte pas).

The resort was so calm and surrounded by beautiful trees, a perfect place to relax your mind. The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They even provided free bicycles that guests could use, which made exploring the area enjoyable. I truly loved the hours I spent at this resort. It’s worth more than the money I paid

Alles ist mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet und selbst gebaut, wir können es wirklich nur von Herzen weiterempfehlen

Man muss sich bewusst sein, dass man etwas Anfahrt hat aber es gibt vor Ort einen Roller, den man sich pro Tag leihen kann und dadurch ist es super easy☺️

Bien que la nourriture soit excellente, les prix sont beaucoup trop élevés pour le Sri lanka, il serait bien d'avoir un menu avec différents prix plutôt qu'un seul prix pour tout...

Die Häuser sind neu, sauber, gepflegt wie auch die gesamte Anlage. Der Service und das Essen waren ebenfalls positiv, alle waren sehr freundlich. Dank Klimaanlage konnte man gut schlafen.

Leider gibt es keine Duschabtrennung, so dass das Wasser sich im Bad verteilt. Es gibt verschiedene Zufahrten, die unterschiedlich gut sind, eine Beschreibung des besten Wegs im Vorfeld wäre hilfreich.

El sitio es idílico si buscas tranquilidad en entorno natural. Muy limpio y con todo lo necesario. Además tienes bicis gratuitas para moverte por los alrededores. Y la posibilidad de alquilar moto a muy buen precio para moverte más lejos. El personal súper amable. Sin duda repetiría. El entorno del recinto precioso.

Al ser un entorno natural tuve alguna visita animal pero eso tiene su encanto. El personal no entendía muy bien el inglés pero al final nos entendíamos.

הצוות לא ממש יודע אנגלית, המיטות לא הכי נוחות ואפשר לשמוע כל תזוזה, העיירה שוממת אז זה רק למי שמגיע לגלוש אבל זה נסיעה לאיזור גלישה (500 רופי בערך בטוקטוק) לא הצלחנו להתחבר לאינטרנט ואין מים חמים בכלל

The property is truly unique in this area and gives jungle vibes. Also the owner (which has been at the resort during our stay) is very caring that you are feeling welcome and making your stay accordingly to your wishes. To name just a few benefits: you can tell when you want to have breakfast. Even in the middle of the night at 5am we asked the owner via whats app if it would be possible to postpone the breakfast to 1pm and it was not a problem at all. Also don’t be shy to ask for room service cleaning or new towels or more toilet paper. They are very happy to provide you with all the necessities, just communicate. The cook is great and the food was beyond, we liked the Rice and Curry and the variation they did just to please us. With that being said, they are trying their very best and we loved our stay there. We stayed there 1 week and did kite surfing at the nearby Kapalady Lagoon at Kite Buddies (10/10 kite school!!)!

The host is very nice, and the whole facility is so beautiful! The rooms are new and very clean, and the open air bathroom is especially great!! The garden and the pool are wonderful to relax.

Es un resort preciós. Les cabanes són molt especials, fetes amb molt bon gust i originalitat. Els esmorzars i sopars són boníssims. Proveu les gambes que fan! El propietari, l'Anushka, és molt acollidor i molt agradable. I els treballadors també, molt macos. Res dolent a dir. Si aneu a la zona de Kalpitiya us recomanem molt aquest lloc per estar-s'hi!

Het personeel was erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Het verblijf was hygiënisch, mooi en erg kalm. Het zwembad was ook echt heerlijk.

Er was naast het strand/kiten niet heel veel te beleven, wij vonden dat niet heel erg maar wel iets om van bewust te zijn.

Das Resort hat einen sehr schönen Pool und ist umgeben von Palmen. Mit dem Fahrrad ist es nicht weit zum Ozean. Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr lecker. Auf die extra Wünsche des Kindes wurde sehr freundlich eingegangen.

Tout était parfait, merci Anushka pour le délicieux curry le soir, les crêpes à la coco étaient délicieuses au petit déj ! Et la piscine formidable, grande, et vraiment très agréable ! Allez y, vous serez très bien reçu et le cadre est dépaysant et on prend un bain de nature !!

The place is ideal for relaxing. A beautiful big garden with a swimming pool, a spacious room with a very comfy big bed. The owner is friendly and he does his best to fulfill every wishes of guests.

Anushka was a fantastic host who went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. He organised a safari to Willpathu at a very reasonable price which included a boat ride on the lagoon! Shelton’s cooking was exceptional and we enjoyed two delicious and hearty breakfasts and dinners of local food. The room and bathroom was very clean and comfortable and AC kept us cool in the nights. We also took advantage of the lovely pool and free bicycles to explore the local area. Everything is done to a high standard and quality and I would definitely return to this beautiful part of Sri Lanka.

wonderful stay at Agro Village! Anushka was an amazing host! One thing that isn’t clear when booking is the air con. We booked 2 rooms and one had air con and the other didn’t, the one without had a fan, but was still extremely hot! Lots of mosquitos at the hotel so make sure to take plenty of mosquito repellent. I enjoyed it so much overall though, the bikes that the hotel have to use is a lovely touch. The traditional Sri Lankan food is so reasonably priced and delicious!!! Have recommended this hotel onto others during my travels too! :)

Ik en mijn vriend verbleven 4 nachten in deze accommodatie aan het begin van onze vakantie. We waren de enige op het resort of in ieder geval geen andere gasten gezien. Er is niet veel in de omgeving qua restaurants dus we hebben alle nachten gegeten op het resort. Veel credits voor de chef (zijn naam vergeten), hij heeft geweldig voor ons gekookt en het was het beste Sri Lankaanse eten na 4 weken in Sri Lanka te hebben verbleven. Alles komt uit de omgeving en elke dag was er weer een nieuwe creatie. Fijn dat het zwembad af was en we daar gebruik van konden gaan maken.

Het is wel een beetje afgelegen van alles, en daardoor was 4 nachten toch een beetje lang. Iets meer relax-plekken zou eventueel fijn zijn zoals een hangmat op het terras (stoeltjes zaten niet zo lekker), bedjes bij het zwembad (mogelijk dat deze nog komen nu het zwembad pas net af was). Een koelkast op de kamer was ook top geweest.

The host is super nice and was supportive although we had some last minute changes. The pool is just fantastic! The houses are very cute and we felt totally comfortable.

Really cool tree house rooms on the peninsula. The host and cook is amazing and he makes delicious meals. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom is partially open air which was really cool. The hammocks and tables made it a peaceful haven. The pool was still being made when I went but it will be a really nice addition. I highly recommend this place.

Sehr schön gestaltete Baumhäuser mit offenem Bad. Leckeres Essen und ein lustiger Gastgeber, der für uns alles möglich gemacht hat - besonders die Tour nach Wilpattu mit dem Boot war toll! Highlight war auch der Abend mit dem Gastgeber, anderen Gästen, Musik und ein bisschen Schnaps.

Ohne eigenen Roller/Tuktuk ist man dort ganz schön abgeschieden und ziemlich ab vom Schuss. Noch ist die Anlage im Entstehen, deshalb wird noch viel gebaut. Wird aber bestimmt schick!

Eine tolle Unterkunft in einer ruhigen und schönen Gegend! Der Garten ist ein Traum! Der Gastgeber ist sehr hilfsbereit und bemüht, dass sich alle Gäste wohl fühlen. Ich kann es empfehlen dort auch Abend zu essen, es war sehr lecker und frisch. Man kann sich die Fahrräder leihen und zu den umliegenden Stränden fahren. Alles in allem ein toller Aufenthalt und nur weiterzuempfehlen!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und vor allem sauber. Wir konnten den neuen Pool testen, welcher ein perfekter Ort für eine Abkühlung ist, da die Unterkunft nicht direkt am Strand liegt. Der Gastgeber Anushka kümmert sich sehr gut um seine Gäste. Man kann verschiedene Aktivitäten über ihn buchen (Wilpattu Nationalpark, Kitesurfen, Dolphin Watching, etc.). Alles in allem ein richtig guter Aufenthalt und absolut zu empfehlen!

Accueil très doux et chaleureux,le propriétaire est adorable,ainsi que tout le personnel.Les cabanes perchées sont pleines de charme et aménagées avec goût.Tout cela au coeur des palmiers et des végétaux de toutes sortes.Un petit paradis a quelques kilomètres de Kalpitiya.Une soirée autour d'un verre et au son de la douce voix et de la guitare se son propriétaire.Les repas sont délicieux.🙏

Anushka und sein Team waren unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Unterkunft liegt paradiesisch im toll angelegten Garten. Wir liebten die Ruhe und die Idylle, keine Touristenströme. Während unseres Aufenthaltes wurde der Pool fertiggestellt, für uns leider zu spät, für zukünftige Gäste ein absolutes Highlight. Kulinarisch wurden wir von Perera super versorgt, das BBQ mit Seafood war ein Traum. Die Delfintour wurde perfekt für uns organisiert... Absolute Empfehlung

Quelques très belles chambres nichées au milieu des plantations. Un hôte (et son équipe) très sympa et accueillant. Superbe plage à quelques kilomètres, facilement accessible en vélo mis à disposition. Une très belle adresse pour un moment dans la région de Kalipitya.

- sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, super lieber Koch, der uns sogar gezeigt hat, wie man typisch sri lankische Gerichte kocht - sehr liebevoll angelegte Anlage - Zimmer ebenfalls sehr nett, aber simpel gestaltet - Außenbadezimmer - alles sehr grün und ordentlich - super leckeres Essen. Unbedingt die Abendessenoption mitnehmen. Es wird täglich frisch gekocht und der Fisch/Shrimps werden täglich frisch besorgt - super lecker - Fahrräder umsonst

Meckern auf sehr hohem Niveau, für uns keine Negativpunkte, aber vielleicht gut zu wissen: - der Weg dorthin ist ein kleines Abenteuer (aber das ist in dieser Region fast überall so und für uns kein Problem) - ca. 3km bis zum Strand, mit den kostenlosen Fahrrädern aber auch kein Problem ist - Mückennetze über den Betten wäre noch ein super Plus Wir können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen

Great service from the owner and it was a nice extra to see that there is a new Pool now! Breakfast and Dinner was amazing! Thanks to the cook!;) They helped us with the taxi and we could use the Bikes to go to the Beach and watch the Sunset! Amazing place to relax! Still a small biulding site around but its not that bad.

Le jardin et le calme des lieux, l’hébergement (literie confortable, double en extérieur…), excellente cuisine et petit déjeuner, Anushka notre hôte était au petit soin et nous a conduit à la plage la plus proche, des vélos à disposition (seulement 3) et possibilité de louer un scooter

L'emplacement dans un endroit très paisible, et à quelques kilomètres de la mer. Le manager, très sympathique, et qui nous a organisé une sortie en mer pour voir les dauphins (on en a vu plein !) et des transports.
