I was really a calm place. Really enjoyed the peaceful environment, very friendly staff and the facilities provided.

Super mooi hotel! Heel lief personeel, mooi zwembad. Hele mooie kamer en badkamer. We konden via een weggetje even naar het strand kijken. De golven waren te hoog om in het water te gaan maar wel een zeer mooie plek om te zijn.

Ligt wat afgelegen en maakte de reistijd wat extra lang. Shampoo en douchegel zouden fijn zijn.

This is a very well looked after and quite unique hotel with lots of personal touches and an owner who has very good taste. We loved swimming in the gorgeous pool and listening to the wind through the coconut trees. Wildlife here is a bit limited due to its location between dunes (5 minute walk to the sea) and large coconut plantations but we had a really lovely time on the day trip to the mangroves where we also saw and climbed a Baobab Tree, which was quite magical, and saw lots of birds. We could have also had a trip into Wilpattu National Park. Staff at the hotel are very kind and helpful and super friendly, ensuring that you have a most comfortable stay. The food was also really good (fresh tuna and fish curries) and we loved our fresh coconuts by the pool.

The staff were absolutely exceptional - so warm and kind. Food was out of this world, the best I've had in sri lanka and so reasonable.

Our room was spacious and adequate for what we needed. I think the rooms in the main house are probably more luxurious.

The garden-view cottage is rather basic. The Wi-Fi signal is barely there, the toilet is outside and doesn't flush well, and the cottage door can be locked from the outside with a latch. In the evening, I had to kill a huge cockroach roaming the room; there are two dogs in the yard that followed us everywhere and tried to bite our driver twice. I explained to the owner that, while I understand we are in Sri Lanka, you don't charge €120 (dinner included) for a place like this. It’s a shame, as this was the only location in Sri Lanka that didn't live up to expectations; I really dislike leaving a negative review, but we were not happy with the experience.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast very nice and good prices. Bedrooms are big and clean with excellent air conditioning. Good pool.

We had a driver and was able to access the property along quite narrow, sandy roads. It is not accessible to public transport or other shops/ restaurants etc.

Everything was just perfect! From the warm welcome, the delicious fresh food, the comfortable and spacious rooms, the relaxing swimming pool and the interesting and varied trips.

There was nothing to dislike.

Een prachtige bijzondere locatie. Er wordt alles gedaan om je het naar de zin te maken. Mooie kamers, lekker eten en goede service.

Er was niets waarvan ik dacht: wat jammer. Als ik één ding moet noemen dan was het laatste stuk weg naar het resort dat smal en onverhard is. Dat maakt het wat lastiger voor taxi’s om er te komen. Maar wie maakt je wat? Ik zou weer gaan

Es ist eine besondere Unterkunft, die durch ihre Einzigartigkeit trumpft. Sie befindet sich mitten in den Dünen umgeben von Palmen. Es ist sehr ruhig dort - perfekt zum Entspannen. Das Zimmer war schön eingerichtet, das gesamte Haus ist total schön, das WLAN hat gut funktioniert und das Personal war bemüht. Es gab zwei liebe Hunde, die sehr gepflegt waren und zahm. Sie haben uns täglich zum Sonnenuntergang begleitet. Den kann man sehr gut auf den Dünen beobachten. Wunderschön!

Es gab ein paar Punkte bezüglich Sauberkeit - beispielsweise war der Pool in den Ecken schmutzig und die Wasserhähne waren verkalkt. Zudem war das Abendessen sehr teuer. Es gibt keine Alternativen in der Nähe, da die Lage sehr abgeschieden ist.

Het is een prachtig complex. Het ligt afgelegen maar met de tuktuk van het hotel kan je zo naar het dorpje worden gebracht. De kamer was ruim en de badkamer was erg mooi. Het zwembad was goed en in een gezamenlijke ruimte kan je eten maar ook lekker relaxen. Eet vooral lekker mee met het diner, de kok kookt zalig! De wifi was perfect, ook op onze kamer. De eigenaren en de manager zijn erg aardig en zorgen ervoor dat het je aan niets ontbreekt. De dolfijnentour was erg leuk om te doen en wij hebben ook een massage geboekt, ook die was erg goed. Kortom een perfect verblijf

Pobyt v Dune Towers pro nás byl naprosto výjimečným zážitkem a tento hotel můžeme všem s čistým svědomím vřele doporučit. Pokud hledáte místo, kde se snoubí autenticita s profesionalitou, dál už hledat nemusíte. Hned po příjezdu nás obklopilo neuvěřitelně přátelské a domácí prostředí. Majitelé jsou nesmírně milí lidé, kterým se podařilo vytvořit místo, kde se člověk necítí jako anonymní host, ale jako součást rodiny. Celou dobu se o nás příkladně starali a díky jejich přístupu jsme si odvezli ty nejkrásnější vzpomínky. I přes komorní atmosféru si hotel drží vysokou kvalitu služeb. Naprosto nás nadchlo výborné místní jídlo, které bylo vždy čerstvé a připravované výhradně z místních surovin. Velmi oceňujeme také zachování nejvyšších hygienických standardů, což pro nás bylo při výběru ubytování klíčové. Majitelé nám pomohli naprosto se vším – od plánování úžasných výletů až po zajištění spolehlivé dopravy. Co nás ale dojalo nejvíce, byla osobní péče v momentě, kdy jsem se necítil dobře. I když jsem byl jen trochu nachlazený, paní majitelka mi okamžitě darovala vitamíny a připravila speciální místní horký nápoj, který mi velmi pomohl. Taková míra laskavosti se v běžných hotelech nevidí. Děkujeme celému týmu Dune Towers za to, že se o nás tak skvěle starali. Pokud plánujete cestu do této oblasti, tohle je místo, které nesmíte minout!

Vriendelijk personeel en eigenaren, fantastische ligging, dichtbij het strand. Heerlijke verschillende plekjes om te relaxen.. en zelfs voor onze 2 jarige dochter was er een doos met speelgoed, zowel in de eetzaal als bij het zwembad.

Eigenlijk niks. Dit was een plek waar we nog wel langer hadden kunnen blijven.

The owners created a beautiful piece of paradise here. Such a gorgeous place! The pool area and the garden with a numbers of species of trees are really stunning. The local staff is very friendly and polite. We received a very warm welcome by the owners with delicious juice. We enjoyed a good massage by the pool and the food was tasty. The warm shower offered (since the water in our bathroom was cold) on the second day was much appreciated. We had a lovely time relaxing by the pool and eventually got used to the little insects (due to nearby farming). The kids loved the toys and slide. Very sweet dogs live on the premises.

-Some things could have been communicated better; e.g. we would have liked to know in advance that for the cottage, the bathroom is fully outside, including the toilet, and can only be reached by going outside first. Moreover, the shower does not have warm water. I wouldn’t have booked this if I had known in advance. - The ‘bed’ was two mattresses on stone with one pillow per person and thin sheets. Very basic. - Dolphin tour is pricier than offered by other operators and in fact advertised in the activities flyer of the hotel (about USD 50 higher in price), but we enjoyed it a lot! -The food was tasty, but for a vegetarian the offering was a bit disappointing (on the first night they served pasta with some sautéed potatoes as the vegetable dish). -Don’t expect yoga classes on the roof (as advertised on TripAdvisor). - Smoking is allowed in the restaurant which is considered an “outside” place because it has no windows (but is part of the building and has doors and a roof). This meant that, even while we were with young children and still eating, other guests would vape and smoke around us, also during breakfast… The owner offered us to sit ‘inside’ which is the reception area, which was kind but not a solution. They should definitely consider banning smoking in their restaurant. - We expected to be able to pay by card, as stated in their own T&C’s, but were asked to pay by cash. Since the owner wasn’t around, they could offer a bank transfer either. Instead we were asked to take a tuk tuk (at our own costs) to town for an ATM. - The owners live here and are visible but don’t seem to be fully involved in management. Small things like the staff not understanding what we ask for, or putting cold dishes on the table, could be addressed in case of more presence by the owners to keep an eye and train their staff, especially if their (kind and capable!) manager isn’t around either.

We loved everything here in this extraordinary towered hotel with only the sound of waving palms, exotic birds, and the nearby sea. Exceptionally kind staff who go the extra mile- on my birthday carrying a table, flowers food and wine to the roof for a special meal, the owner went out to miraculously locate a birthday cake and some wine. Room and bathroom very spacious with huge windows. The big pool a great bonus, with loungers for good reading, all very quiet. The sea only a 6 minute walk, warm, soft sand and completely deserted. We saw jumping dolphins, and turtles laying eggs nearby. Lovely area to walk on lanes by small farms, villagers very friendly, no tourists seen. Would love to return, it’ll always be with us, one of the best ever.

Nothing to dislike!

Die Location war ganz gut. Man musste nur über eine Düne gehen und man war am Strand. Der Poolbereich war auch ganz nett.

Als wir abends angekommen sind gab es kein warmes Wasser. Der Strand ist super dreckig gewesen.

Personál je veľmi milý a ústretový, snažia sa splniť všetky požiadavky. Nižšie hodnotenie dávam hlavne kvoli polohe - je to koniec sveta.

Miesto je veľmi odľahlé, v okoli nie je nič, žiadna reštaurácia ani obchod. Je to uzavretý rezort. Jedlo bolo veľmi chutne, ale na pomery Srí lanky extrémne predražené, cca 10 USD na osobu - nemáte na výber, iné možnosti stravovania nie sú. Nie je možnosť zapožičať skúter. V kúpeľni nebola tepla voda, čo je sklamanie v tejto cenovej kategórii. Cesta k rezortu vedie cez poľné cesty a farmy, veľmi zlý prístup autom alebo tuktukom.

Charming 15 bed property close to beach with lovely shallow pool, set in attractive garden. We had a room with good view and big comfortable bed. Food is excellent and fairly priced

Poor access as Road very rough. Difficult to get transport leaving you at the mercy of the property! Water pressure poor in upstairs rooms

Wir verbrachten 5 Nächte im Bottle House, welches neu eine AC hat. Diese konnten wir gut brauchen. Die Leute waren freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Zimmer wurde jeden 2. Tag gereinigt, das Essen war lecker (aber verhältnismässig teuer für Sri Lanka), der Strand war fussläufig in 5-10 Min erreichbar (und ja, er ist schmutzig, aber dafür kann das Hotel nichts, blame the world not the hotel and start cleaning yourself. Ausserdem werde der Strand jeweils nach der Windsaison gesäubert). Ein absolutes Plus waren die Hunde, auch die Hundemama mit ihren 2 Welpen.

Viele Mücken, teilweise nicht gutes Wifi (aber irgendwie scheint es nur uns betroffen zu haben, liegt also ev. gar nicht am Hotel). Die Freizeitsachen wie Federball, Bälle, etc. dürften ersetzt werden. Ebenso einige Liegestühle. Aber das sind Details.

Excellent staff, great food, peaceful beach

Het dolfijnen spotten was heel bijzonder, ga vooral met gids Rikas. Voor de rest was het eten heel uitgebreid en lekker. Het zwembad was ook heel mooi en verkoelend. Neem vooral een massage we hadden een super goeie en lieve masseur. Ook de manager was behulpzaam en aardig. Het is een mooie wandeling naar het strand, maar er lag veel aangespoeld plastic dus neem vooral een zak mee om het hotel een beetje te helpen. We waaren ook dol op de honden diggy en samila. We sliepen in de cottage en hadden daar een 4 persoons bed en een buiten douche, super leuk!!

Skvělé místo k pobytu. Majitel byl velmi ochotný — zařídil nám nejen odvoz z letiště, ale i výlet lodí za delfíny, který byl naprosto úžasný a rozhodně stojí za to. Pokoj s klimatizací byl čistý, pohodlný a dobře udržovaný. Bazén se skluzavkou a houpačkovou postelí je ideální na relax, jídlo bylo výborné (včetně nepálivých variant) a internet přes Starlink fungoval bezchybně. Opravdu velmi klidné a příjemné ubytování, které můžu jen doporučit.

Dune Towers was a genuinely pleasant surprise. Communication with the owner was super easy, and he arranged our airport pickup without any hassle, which made the arrival really smooth. We stayed in the Luxury Double Room with A/C, bathroom and terrace, and it was exactly what we needed — clean, comfortable and with a nice relaxed vibe. The pool area quickly became our favourite spot. The slide is fun, and the swing bed by the water is honestly the perfect place to switch off for a while. The nearby beach is usually very quiet, so it often felt like we had it all to ourselves — a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The food was excellent every day, and I really appreciated that the chef was willing to prepare non-spicy dishes on request. And having Starlink internet was a big bonus — being able to watch Netflix in full HD after a long day was perfect. A huge highlight was that the owner also arranged a dolphin tour for us. It was absolutely amazing — we saw loads of dolphins and it’s definitely an experience worth doing.

Honestly, nothing comes to mind — everything worked out really well.

Absolute Alleinlage inmitten der riesigen Dünen Kalpitiyas. Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich, das Abendessen zum Preis von 10$ pro Person sehr lecker und die Portionen großzügig. Wasser gab es jederzeit kostenlos. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und ermöglicht fast jeden Wunsch. Das es mit der Delfin-Tour nichts wurde war nur dem Wettergott anzulasten. Für den Müll aus dem Meer kann das Hotel nichts. Der Pool ist sehr sauber und gut temperiert.

The Place Is very scenic and very agradable! It's perfect to have some peaceful time and walking in the dunes/beach. The sunset from there Is Amazing! The staff Is very attentive and super nice!

J'ai aimé la localisation insolite c'est à dire autour de champs de cocotiers et tout proche des dunes , on se sent seul au monde . L'établissement a un charme fou et est décoré avec beaucoup de gout et de très jolies mosaïques! calme absolu si vous cherchez à etre tranquille . J'ai séjourné dans une des chambres au rez de jardin d'une des tours c'était top . Vous pouvez diner sur place le cuisinier est excellent . Tout le personnel est adorable et efficace .

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Leckeres Essen. Die Unterkunft liegt schön inmitten der Dünen und nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Indischen Ozean entfernt. (Baden war nicht möglich.) Was man wissen sollte: Die Anreise ist mit einem gewöhnlichen Auto nicht ganz einfach, da die Zufahrtsstraße im letzten Teil nicht asphaltiert ist (schlechter Zustand). Pluspunkt der Unterkunft: der herrliche, saubere Pool. Wir haben uns hier wohlgefühlt, danke!

Wij hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf bij Dune Towers. De locatie is prachtig, vlakbij zee. Het eten was super, de kamer brandschoon en de mangrove tour welke wij hadden met Rikas was geweldig. Wij raden het iedereen aan om hier te verblijven bij een bezoek aan Sri Lanka. Ga zo door heren. Jullie krijgen van ons een dikke 10.

Wspaniałe miejsce z cudowną atmosferą, pysznym jedzeniem. Piękny ogród, w którym można było podziwiać różne ptaki. Można zamówić jedzenie - kucharz codziennie pyta na co ma się ochotę. Wszystko jest świeże i przygotowane z wielką dbałością o szczegóły, a obsługa jest przemiła. Mieszkaliśmy w domu z zrobionym z butelek i mieliśmy wszystko co trzeba. Manager chętnie pomaga w organizacji wycieczek, zamówieniu tuk tuka. Hotel jest kameralny, tuż za nim można się wybrać na spacer nad morzem. Dobre miejsce na wypoczynek z dala od wszystkiego. Przy okazji warto wspomnieć, że hotel został wybudowany przez przemiłą parę Czechów, która włożyła w to miejsce mnóstwo serca - czuć to na każdym kroku.

Beautiful small resort for relax in nature, beach and pool + We were amazed by unique building, garden and pool with great rock design! The location provides perfect relaxing atmosphere, just 5 minutes to virgin beach, nature is all around. The meals are delicious and staff were friendly and very helpful, smile ☺️. I highly recommend this hotel.

We were a total of 9 people ( including two kids) The staff were friendly, helpful and kind which made us feel secure and at home. They were extremely eager to help us in any way possible.🙂 The pool was fun for all, the garden was well kept. The Sri Lankan cuisine they prepared for us was excellent 👌(mostly they serve Sri Lankan food. Which we didn't mind at all, as we were there to enjoy the Sri Lankan culture and cuisine. 😊)

The access road to the location is very bumpy. I would recommend calling the manager before turning to the access road. (Because one of the roads leading can be a big hassle for low road clearance vehicles.) Some shower heads were not working properly. I told the manager about it. He mentioned, that it'll be fixed asap ( It didn't bother us that much, because I loved taking showers outside 😁) Flies! Due to the farming in the surrounding area, there are a lot of flies! But the staff did everything to exterminate the problem 🙂 They were very concerned about us. I hope they can figure out better solutions to the issue.

We had a wonderful stay at Dune Towers. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they prepared some delicious lunch and dinner for us during our stay. We especially appreciated being allowed to use the facilities for a few extra hours after check-out — a thoughtful gesture that made our experience even better. The building itself is truly unique, with the dune tower design adding a special touch to the atmosphere. Our room was very spacious, spotless, and comfortable. The location is also great — just a short walk from the beach and with a lovely swimming pool on site. While it is a bit remote from other places, we didn’t mind at all. We were happy with the food options provided and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the beach and pool. All in all, a peaceful and memorable getaway. Highly recommended!

Dune Towers will not be everyones cup of tea, but we had a very lovely few days there. It's in a very wild and remote location which we loved. The rooms are in two quite new towers with a deck slung between, and a dining room for when the flies get too overpowering. The food and the service were outstanding. The pool, and its slide were great fun. The nearby beach is sublime and deserted. The Dolphin trip will live in my memory forever- very special. So LOTS to like.

At the time of our stay the flies (presumably from the nearby agriculture) were a serious irritation during the day-time.

In the midst of nature and the staff are so friendly. The boat ride was special and spotting the dolphin pods made it extra special - all arranged by Dune Towers! Massage also on-site which was really good!

There are issues with the flies but I think the owner is doing everything possible to reduce this. Big fans and nets definitely help and no bugs or flies at all in the bedroom.

It was terrific place. I had a marvelous time by the ocean. - Nice and clean rooms; - Friendly and kind staff; - Delicious Sri Lanka (local) cousine; - Breathtaking view and nice garden; - Fantastic swimming pool with bar stools; - Variety of activities and facultative trips; - Everything for fairly low prices. Definitely I will return to this place in the future.

Paradise on earth. Great rooms, great cook, great garden, extraordinary swimming pool, nature all around: plantations, dunes, beach, and the ocean.

The access road. When it rains a lot, a normal car can not get there. Still - it is really really worth to get there somehow!

Really helpful staff, lovely food. Amazing architecture, very comfortable room, everything worked. We walked the 5 km to St Anne’s Shrine, along the beach, Thanseem arranged for a tuk tuk to be there to bring us back for breakfast It is isolated but apart from walking the beach we were very happy to enjoy the beautiful place

The flies are a fact of life but none in the wind on the rooftop and excellent bed nets and A/C. A plugin mosquito repellent may help but we found no mosquitoes The beach is beautiful with traditional fishing in the mornings. You just have to look away from the evidence that humanity loves to through plastic away but the rubbish is only at the top of the beach. The majority is clear sand and sea and you may meet the turtle conservation team who work with the hotel

- Challenging road conditions to get there - Flies, flies, flies and mosquitoes during certain times of the day - Ants everywhere in the outdoor bathroom - Secluded, it takes 45 min by tuktuk to get to Kalpitiya - The beach is unfortunately full with garbage (a rather common Sri Lankan problem however) - Be aware that everything you do in this resort is slightly overpriced - No wifi in bottle room - The saddest rabbit with worst conditions I’ve seen in my life - The manager has an ambivalent attitude towards customer service which made us feel rather unwelcome at times Room for improvement - better closure of the mosquito net upstairs in the bottle house - A sign at the beach indicating where to go - easy to get lost otherwise after long beach walks!

The staff was incredibly helpful and were accomodative to make sure my elderly grandparents felt really comfortable at the property. The beach was simply breathtaking and the property was one of the most unique places I've visited in Sri Lanka.

The road to get to the property was incredibly treacherous. During the rainy season, it would be virtually impossible to get to unless you have a vehicle with high ground clearance.

We had such a wonderful stay! The rooms are beautifully designed with so much attention to detail. The staff went above and beyond to customize all our activities to exactly what we wanted. The new pool is incredible—surrounded by rocks, with a slide and a waterfall, it felt like a mini paradise. We loved the swim-up bar and enjoyed drinks right in the pool. The food was fresh and delicious, with locally grown vegetables. Can’t wait to come back!

Peaceful hidden gem in the dunes on walking distance from the ocean. We loved the quiet walks on the shore being followed by the two sweet dogs of Dune towers. Keeping us safe. The room is spacious and clean and the staff very friendly, professional and easy to approach. We enjoyed the food and we'll definitely come back to Dune towers again.

A kettle in the room would be nice.

"Amazing Stay at Dune Towers – A Perfect Getaway!" We had such a great time at Dune Towers and I can't recommend it enough! Staff was so welcoming and friendly. The location is stunning – quiet beach. The rooms were super comfortable, clean, and really well-designed, whole resort felt very peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing. The chef made some of the best seafood we’ve ever had, and the staff was always happy to adjust the menu for us. Even they arranged a roof-top dinner, so we were watching sunset into the Indian Ocean. We loved the pool with slide.

We were amazed by unique building and stylish pool with slide. Meals are very delicious and room were cleaned nicely. Staff was friendly and helpful with all the things. I recommend this Hotel and we would like to come back again in future for sure.

Unhygienic and Unprofessional Experience Avoid this hotel at all costs! The chef was involved in unhygienic activities, and the owner has hired untrained staff. Our stay was ruined by the chef's abusive behavior, flirting, and uncleanliness. The gate was closed at check-in, and the guard was rude. A fly in our food was the final straw. Unprofessional staff and poor management make this place not worth the money.

We were amazed by unique building, garden and pool with great rock design! The secluded location provides perfect relaxing atmosphere, just 5 minutes to virgin beach, nature is all around, but still not far town for more amenities. Individual care of the staff is very helpfull. The meals are delicious.

I have nothing to complain about

The resort was very beautifull. Nice main area and pool. It is a little bit isolated and the beach is oke. The food was excellent and the staff were the best.

Outstanding service throughout our stay. Thanseem and his team attended our every request; some had f the friendliest staff you will meet. The chef is incredible and breakfast and dinner were delicious, they have just put in a brand new pool 2 weeks ag which is a great addition and it has a kids slide. Stylish rooms with brilliant decor and good A/C.

The flies can be at times a bit too much so probably not for very small children but I know from speaking to Thanseem they are trying alternative methods to reduce the flies. They do have an area to eat and sit upstairs which is hidden from the flies. By the time you read this they will have probably solved it!

The room was fine and the food OK.

Not a great welcome - the manager was more concerned about the passport etc. formalities than anything else. No water in the room, no wifi information either. We got both in the end, but nobody seemed bothered. The location was disappointing: you have to scramble over high dunes to get a view. Dinner was very expensive by Sri Lankan standards. We had come from a 5-star hotel where we paid only just over half for the equivalent meal.

Beautiful and clean place, Very lovely helpful staff. The owner is very lucky to have them. If it wasn't for the manager I would have left the day I arrived.

Where do I start? The place is a building site, the swimming pool isn't even built yet its just a sandy hole in the ground the so called private beach is a ten minute hike away over sand dunes and totally desolate with nothing but rubbish around. There is no fridge or kettle in the room I had and the nearest town restaurants and ATMs are 5k away. The other problem was that the place would only take cash payments, no credit or debit cards, which means that you are stuck there with nothing to do apart from walking a desolate beach or paying for excursions to spend your days there. With no way of getting a cup of tea, apart from paying for one from the premises. Drinking water had to be got from the reception/Restaurant. Another thing I almost forgot to mention is that the two nights I spent there I didn't have one restful night sleep because the bed mattresses were like sleeping on a stone floor. As I said earlier, if it wasn't for the staff I would have left the day I arrived. I did have another 3 nights booked for later this month, but I've cancelled them. The reviews I read about the place persuaded me to book my stay, I think I would really question the the reviews authenticity.

It’s a very unusual property in an unusual location. The isolation gave us our own exceptional beach (some days we were the only humans !) . The food is excellent and Thanseem is a fine host. The rooms are big and have a great vibe.

Nothing to dislike - but a few things to think about. Access to the beach requires a certain fitness over the dunes. And because the flies come out more netting is needed at meal times.

The accommodation was so amazing and the best from all of Sri Lanka after one month what we traveled. I have to recommend Dune Towers everyone who want spend a little time alone and far from everything with private beach and amazing staff here.

We were attracted to this hotel because of it's remote location. We enjoyed a lovely long walk along the beach, swimming and exploring the surrounding area. The food here was fantastic and the manager did all he could to make our stay a good one.

The hotel is absolutely remote - in the middle of nowhere! But that makes it very nice. During the night for beautiful stargazing and during daytime for trips to the beach and the surrounding dunes. I have received a free upgrade to a fantastic deluxe room - freshly renovated and clean. The breakfast was also very nice. I would really recommend the Dune Towers for a quiet trip at Puttalam Lagoon.

The beach nearby is very quiet but also extremely dirty. It’s full of plastic bottles and hence not very inviting for a bath or a longer walk.

This was one of the favorite places we stayed on our trip! The setting is absolutely beautiful within the sand dunes and right on the beach. The yard is so beautiful with many plants and trees and the rooms were very comfortable. The owner was beyond amazing and went out of his way to make our stay amazing. He even helped us to order dinner from a restaurant for delivery and reheated the food for us. The breakfast was outstanding. I would recommend this place to anyone and hope we can come back! Thanks again.

The people working here are lovely and it has a good rooftop chill spot.

It includes breakfast but it’s very limited. Not a full Sri Lankan breakfast that you get elsewhere. The single rooms are small and dark. Dinner was good but at $11 a little overpriced.

Excellent location to start a Sri Lanka journey - fairly close to the airport (appr. 3 h), great breakfast and dinner, very nice hosts, nice rooms, beautiful tour to a Mangrove forest, very close to the beach, no people at the beach, very nice waves and perfect water temperature

This is an interesting hotel because of its fancy architecture and design surrounded by sandy dunes in the middle of nowhere. It gives you a sense of serenity and calm. You can enjoy the picturesque sunset from the roof. The food was very good and the staff were very nice. The hotel owners keep their place clean and charming.

Almost all was great. Only because of the farm fields around and the village roads it was a bit hard to reach the hotel by our car. One has to have a high seat car or a jeep. Anyway, the hotel's owners were so nice to drop us back to the place where our driver could meet us.

It is like a castle nestled between the dunes and coconut groves! Probably the best stay I have had in Sri Lanka!! Everything is super clean and the furniture, building and linens are brand new! The location is perfect to get away from it all! I practice daily yoga and meditation and it was wonderful they let me use the panoramic roof terrace to welcome the sunrise!

Everything was PERFECT! Accommodation and the place was gorgeous. The ocean very close to the apartment - 5 minutes walk. The owners and the staff do everything what you ask for (actually you don’t even need to tell it, you can just dream about it😀). And the best is the food. It is simply unbelievably awesome💜

This place is a paradise and we absolutely recommend it to anyone that wants to enjoy some days of relax and peace, surrounded by nature. The owner and the stuff were so careful and kind and they took care of every detail. The room was perfectly clean, spacious and comfortable. They made delicious dinner and breakfast for us (we requested vegan meals and they were prepared even if we said this just on our arrival). Moreover they have a wonderful rooftop where you can enjoy sunrise/sunset and do some yoga. Beaches are exactly beyond the dunes, so you can reach them in some minutes (walking). Last but not least, Lily, their dog was one of the friendliest dog we've ever met! We definitely recommend Dune Towers and for sure we will come back in the future.

The hospitality and the location its calm and quite. Rooms are builded with lovely architecture plan. It will make you amazed to see the structure.
