The pictures on the website did not match the premises in which we were accomodated which was across and up the road. The original Fig Tree house shown on the website was locked up and appeared deserted and delapidated.

I honestly dont know. I was grateful that I was able to find this place on short notice. Suggestion: if pets are allowed. Please get blankets for cats to cover your beautiful chairs. Luckily I had two big blankets that I covered the chairs with so that they dont get scratch it.

It was the perfect place for a one-night stay. Everything exceeded our expectations, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

We did not feel welcome or comfortable at our arrival, as Desmond was irritated by receiving us at 20h00! We drove very far and the advertisement time for booking-in is 21h00! Desmond also told us that there is an electric blanket on the bed, but it did not work! It was very cold that night! We requested several times about stuff that stayed behind, with no success! Desmond wasn't available and Ronel only made empty promises! A week later, we are still waiting for her feedback as promised every time! I managed a guesthouse myself and therefore know that this is very poor service! No hospitality at all!

Reviewed Apr 23, 2026The room was just perfect. I was traveling with my 2 kids. We had everything we needed to the night. Little kitchen, clean bathroom. The room had a cosy feel. It was modern but still had a farm house feel.
There was nothing that comes to mind that we didn’t like. If I had to find something it would be that my 8 year old son was not able to reach the soap in the shower but that is really not anything material.

The setup is very comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stopover. We especially loved the bathroom—it’s beautifully done—and the beds were comfortable. The tea and coffee provided were a thoughtful touch. Everything is newly renovated and tastefully decorated. Highly recommended!

This guest house is your typical “dont judge a book by its cover”. The area and exterior walls is not very appealing however once you are through the gates and in your room, the space is lovely.
The location of the guest was slightly confusing. As you reach the street noted in the address, there is 1 sign on the gate with the contact number. You will need to call the contact number in order to be shown to which section of the guest house you will be staying as the guest house itself is split into multiple sections along the road.

There were 1 double bed and single bed in place , yet we had to pay R 250 more for the 3rd person . The room had thousands of tiny ants , Driveway was muddy , my wife could not push the big gate to open ,need remote . Kitchen was ok .
