De l'accueil, du service, une sincère générosité, un emplacement où je me suis senti reposé. Je dois dire merci pour la tisane qui m'a remis sur pied. Des personnes vraiment attachantes.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026Tout était parfait et notre hôtesse très attentionnée. La climatisation est positionnée de telle façon qu'on peut la laisser tourner la nuit sans problème. (La chambre est grande. ) Le gros + est cette superbe terrasse avec une vue à 360 degrés sur les montagnes et la ville.

Reviewed May 28, 2026Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft. Das Zimmer war liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Wir hatten einen eigenen Balkon mit Blick auf die Stadt und die Berge. Die gemütliche Dachterrasse konnte von den Gästen ebenfalls genutzt werden. Die Gastgeberin spricht perfekt englisch und französisch. Von ihr haben wir viel über die Region, die Menschen und Traditionen erfahren. Das Frühstück war sehr besonders für uns. Vielen Dank nochmals!

Reviewed May 11, 2026Tafraoute was described to us as being the 'real Morocco' away from other more visited areas. It didn't disappoint and our stay at Maison Tigmi Ozro added to the sense of being somewhere entirely authentic. This was the least expensive accommodation we stayed in and the welcome was every bit as warm, the bed as comfortable and the breakfast as delicious as all of the others. It was the perfect place for exploring the Anti-Atlas and we would have happily stayed for longer. Next time!

Reviewed May 6, 2026Breakfast was very good - only because I am a celiac and can’t eat wheat, for me it was limited. But good service, loved the record player in the breakfast room. Bedroom was very nicely decorated, felt cosy. The host was there to welcome us and gave us a sweet little tea service on the rooftop.
The bed my husband and son shared was comfortable, but my mattress was somehow somewhat lopsided.

Reviewed Mar 14, 2026We absolutely loved our stay here and the photos don't do it justice! We were greeted with Moroccan tea on the beautiful roof terrace. The room was comfortable and clean, electric shutters on the windows and a comfy bed. Very quiet and peaceful at night as away from any traffic noise The location is fantastic with some epic views of the surrounding rocks and easy walking distance to the centre of Tata. Breakfast was typical Moroccan style: pancakes, bread, jams, honey, juice and egg but was the best breakfast we've had in Morocco so far. Would highly recommend staying here and would certainly stay here again.

Bushra was an exceptional host - lending us her best mugs for English tea, advising us if walks and lending us a book and even washing the car after a dust storm.

It was a bit dark in the apartment and there were different levels so steps caused a bit of anxiety. The bathroom facilities are in need of an upgrade but the whole was very good value for money and an enjoyable experience,

Reviewed Feb 9, 2026Die Eigentümerin, Bouchra, hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen, uns ein leckeres Frühstück zubereitet, sich nett mit uns unterhalten und Tipps gegeben, z.B. zum Besuch des nahen Museumshauses ("Maison traditionnelle berbere"). Sie spricht hervorragend Französisch und Englisch. Das Haus ist 3 Minuten zu Fuß vom Stadtzentrum entfernt aber schon etwas abseits und ruhig gelegen. Es war Anfang Januar sehr kalt, die Heizung hat gut funktioniert. Von der Dachterasse prima Rundblick auf Stadt und Berge ringsum, Sonnenaufgang und Sonnenuntergang. Ab März lässt es sich bestimmt auch gut dort frühstücken.
Da es im Januar außergewöhnlich kalt war, war es im Badezimmer ziemlich kühl. Insgesamt gibt es für die 3 Wohnungen vielleicht etwas zu wenig Warmwasser, einen Morgen war es schon alle.

Reviewed Oct 4, 2025Die Besitzerin ist ein Engel, sie hat mich bei einer Autopanne gerettet. Gleich am ersten Tag streikte mein Auto , mitten in den Bergen über eine Stunde von Tafraoute entfernt. Ich habe die Unterkunft angerufen und sie hat mich beruhigt und einen Mechaniker vom Dorf geschickt. Sie ist immer erreichbar und hilfreich, egal um was es geht . Tafraoute ist sicher und wunderschön zu erkunden . Hier ist man bestens aufgehoben. So liebenswert und gastfreundlich! Dankeschön

Reviewed Sep 29, 2025L’hôte était aux Petits soins. Nous avons eu des conseils de sentiers pédestres aux alentours avec les cartes. Le Riad est situé dans un coin tranquille de la ville.
Rien. Evidemment il y a l’odeur du charbon de bois dû à tous les tagines qui s’activent dans la ville. Mais on ferme les fenêtres et tout est ok.

Le logement était parfaitement conforme à la description, très propre et bien entretenu, avec une hygiène irréprochable. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la réactivité et la disponibilité de notre hôte, qui a su répondre rapidement à nos demandes et même satisfaire des besoins supplémentaires. Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent, difficile de faire mieux ! En bonus, quelques petites attentions qui font toute la différence et rendent le séjour encore plus agréable. Nous recommandons vivement et reviendrons avec plaisir !

When you book the room, it says Breakfast 3 euros, but it s very unclear until after the confirmation that it is not included in the overall price. - It's an only cash place. - All the prices on the final are calculated in euros (even the daily tax), but we did not get the daily exchange rate euro/dirham.

Reviewed Dec 4, 2024Tafroute is a hidden gem. Off the tourist track with spectacular scenery. The Riad owner put us in touch with a guide to visit The Granary. The Granary could be unesco listed, it is so special. The family who own the Riad are warm & friendly and very engaging. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They also offer a laundry service. :)
