Killard House

The House is in beautiful surrounding, scenic area with sea vew but a lil far from the town/ village where most of the activities could be happening.

It was not a real geyst house. Coming in the front door you were greeted by family pictures. Not certain of you were in the right place, open the door through the kitchen, see a mess of a kitchen table. Made a call to confirm the place, you were directed to your room with colored linen.

Advertised as having a hot tub, which effected our choice of hotel. False advertising.

Beautiful location near the beach.

Room spotless and very spacious and modern. Had power shower which was excellent. Scenic location Cleaner lovely lady

Did not see host Talked on phone, to the point, not very friendly. Felt like she didnt like me ringing her. Only had key for room and not front door. Told to leave front door unlocked. Felt this was unsafe. Noise from other rooms upstairs was too much. Could hear every sound even on woodem floors. Would not consider staying here again

The room + bathroom are very spacious and spotless clean. Very good bed! Beautiful surroundings, with the beach close by.

The lady of the house has a very strange communication style. Extremely short and not very helpful.

Die Aussicht war super. Wir konnten den Kühlschrank im Flur nutzen. Mikrowelle und Wasserkocher mit Tee und Kaffee waren im Zimmer vorhanden. Wir hatten eine Wirlpoolwanne. Die Terrasse durften wir auch nutzen. Zum Strand waren es nur 200 m.

Schone en ruime kamer. Uitzicht op zee. Loopafstand van strand. Restaurants op 15 minuten fietsen.

Una habitació espaiosa amb un bany, tot net i funcional. La casa està a uns 500 metres de una platja, en un lloc aillat i molt tranquil.

Zero contacte personal, encara que hi eren a casa. Entenem que no tothom ha de ser simpàtic i afable, que és el que ens hem trobat en aquest pais, pero aqui no va haver cap interacció, ni una mínima rebuda, ni un comiat…

Smell of stale cigarettes throughout the house. No curtains on bedroom windows only blinds which let in alot of natural light from 6am. Awake from 6:30am. from continuous movement and noise coming from upstairs. Resulting in us checking out earlier than planned.

Beautiful spot we where down for one night for a funeral..but would love to come back for a longer stay. Lady was lovely that ran the place

No milk in fridge next morning for a cuppa

La chambre est relativement spacieuse et il y avait une vue mer. Possibilité de prendre ses repas dans la chambre (table + micro onde)

L'accueil est déporable et le code indiqué sur l'annonce n'est pas le bon mais l'hote n'a visiblement pas pris la peine de le changer. L'odeur du tabac dans la chambre et la salle de bain est juste insoutenable. Le lit est complètement défoncé. Les serviettes plus qu'usées. La propreté générale laisse à désirer.

Thank you so much for the wonderful room. It was quiet, peaceful, and cozy. I especially loved the ocean view, which is just a short walk away.

There was no breakfast but you could make coffee in the room and there was a microwave and crockery so you could have a hot snack if you wanted which we didn't need, good idea anyway.

Despite the site description there was no jacuzzi. Bed was uncomfortable, linens were old and pillows lumpy. Smelled of cigarettes. Upstairs started banging around just before 7am.

Lovely and warm after a long drive in the rain. A very welcoming house.

Stayed in this house after playing Doonbeg Golf Course. Beautiful spot with walking distance to the beach for a nice sunrise swim the following morning.

Room was a bit small.

Appeared to have a great view as it is up on a hillside, but I was only there at night. Room was spacious with an extra single bed making this a nice option for those travelling with a child.

This is a larger facility so perhaps not the cozy get away often associated with B&B. Getting there involves 5-10 minutes of single lane driving that those not used to small roads may find objectionable.

Location and proximity to the beach.

No running water for most of my two day stay - was left shampooed mid-shower with no water and absolutely no help or support from the owners. I did not meet a single soul while I was there - no physical or formal or informal meeting with the proprietors, which was very odd…..especially with the water being gone and no attempt at apology or recourse for same. While the location is lovely, it is too far away from Doonbeg for a sociable night out. And with non -communicative hosts, it really was not worth the price! I paid €100 per night and with no running water! Especially after my sea swim in nearby White Strand. I would strongly NOT recommend this place to stay.

Just ok. Family room is a good size. Tea/coffee available in the room. Communal fridge in the hall with a drop of milk.

Needs a bit of work. Broken floor tiles in the bathroom. Electric shower doesn't work. Tiles a bit moldy. It's a good bit outside Doonbeg. Easily 30 minutes walk. Not practical after a visit to the local pubs or if the weather was inclement. Dangerous roads to be walking in the dark. No taxi service locally. No help at all from a lady who was resident in the house (not the host, Marguerite) in getting into Doonbeg. Fortunately, a good neighbour gave us a spin in. The moral of the story is, if you're going to have a drink, stay somewhere nearer the town.

La habitación estaba equipada y lo mejor que tenía para conectarte con Neftix. Baño grande.

Unterkunft sehr sauber und freundlich. Aufmerksamer Service mit Kaffee, Wasserkocher, Mikrowelle und frischer Milch. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge, Richtung Kilkee Cliff und Loop Head Trail oder Richtung Norden, Doolin und Cliffs of Moher.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und geräumig.

Die Heizung einzuschalten, wäre von Vorteil gewesen. Bei den Vermietern war es warm. Wenn man Kaffee zum machen bereitstellt, könnte man vielleicht auch Milch oder Kaffeerahm darzustellen.

Logement confortable dans un environnement calme avec une très jolie vue sur l'océan.

La posizione è di una tranquillità assoluta... a 5 minuti di macchina si areiva nel.paesino dove si trova tutto quello che serve... Dal maeket ai pub/ristoranti non manca niente... La camera era accogliente, calda, pulita e pronta ad accogliere chi come noi prenota un soggiorno alla ricerca di quiete e pace.

It was not a sea view room as advertised. Very difficult to find as google maps sends you to a different address. It was extremely noisy- walls were thin and you can hear other occupants and the dog barking. We never saw the hostess during our stay.

Difficile à trouver et pas ou peu de communication avec la propriétaire, même lorsqu’on en avait besoin. Aucun couvert ou assiette seulement un micro-ondes et bouilloire.

De locatie is fantastisch als je graag in de baai gaat zwemmen. Een 700 m verder kan je te voet naar een prachtig strandje. Ook was de gastheer flexibel toen ik iets vroeger dan verwacht aankwam. De kamer was uitgerust met microgolf en een waterkoker met thee en koffie. Er stond ook een handig tafeltje waar je kan aan eten. Fijne douche.

Ik denk de verwachting ivm de zogezegde kookmogelijkheden. Op mijn kamer stond er een microgolf. Gezien ik met de fiets was kon ik wel nog iets halen om op te warmen. Maar als je verwacht dat je iets meer kunt klaarmaken zou je dat kunnen verkeerd begrijpen. Maar misschien had ik het zelf verkeerd ingevuld, er stond met ‘Kitchenette’. . Ik verwachtte daardoor iets meer. Het is wel handig in dat geval om te weten wat er exact staat, dan kan je er ook zo op instellen. Maar de kamer op zich niets op aan te merken. De matras was voor mij net iets te zacht, maar ook dat is weer iets persoonlijk. Op zich is het bed prima.

Das Zimmer und Bad waren nicht gut gereinigt ( Toilette dreckig, viel alter Staub) ungemütlich teils defektes Interieur, lieblos eingerichtet. Keine Kochmöglichkeit trotz versprochener Küchenzeile, kein Besteck oder Teller, keine Spüle, keine Stühle zum Mini-Esstisch. Haus sehr hellhörig . Keine Garderobe bzw Haken an der Wand , auch nicht im Bad .Keine Einführung/ Willkommenheissen der Gastgeber

Minor things...Woken by an external light, on a sensor, through a thin blind (no curtain)...Self check-in (just an email saying front door open and room upstairs and on left) was disconcerting and, although personally fine, this completely threw a Japanese couple downstairs who didn't understand at all...Communal fridge in entrance hall reminiscent of student digs....And, while generally clean, the property lacked real care (light bulbs, lampshades, few cobwebs etc). Grateful to previous reviewers who warned of no breakfast.

Keinen persönlichen Empfang, keine Infos. Zimmer war ca 15m² statt wie beschrieben 25m², Küchenzeile gibt es keine und Terrasse auch nicht. Ich würde es nicht mehr buchen.

Quiet, peaceful and beautiful scenery

It's a good location with a lovely view and plenty of parking. The room and the bathroom were spacious and clean.

The room was bright in the morning so it needs blackout curtains or blinds. Lots of noise from the floor above, probaly a wooden floor. A carpet or some rugs might help.

Les lits étaient confortables. La vue de la maison est splendide.

Pour 4, nous n’avions que 2 chaises et une cuillère. L’espace est serré, difficile de se mettre autour de la table. Nous avons voulu essayer la baignoire spa mais elle n’avait pas du être utilisée depuis longtemps, beaucoup d’impuretés sont sortis.

Nice property well set up for what we needed. Nice views of the farmland around and the ocean. Good parking.

Overall not much. Couple very small minor repairs needed but really very positive.
