I arrived earlier than expected and Yvonne was kind to come to the house and allow me access out of time. I really appreciated this. It is simple to park and unload. Room and bathroom were wonderfully clean and welcoming.

This B&B is stunning. Beautiful surroundings. Our room was really lovely with an en-suite. Very clean and very comfortable. Would stay there again.

There was nothing to dislike. Everything about it was wonderful. We had a really lovely stay. The staff were amazing, very helpful & accommodating.

Superb Arts and Crafts property and garden. Friendly and chatty host - a real dream to stay here for a second time.

Room - was charming and spacious. Small box containing tea and coffee sachets. Kettle and nice crockery. Bathroom was immaculate, needed updating. Breakfast - good choice and evidently locally sourced ingredients.

The bed was too soft - personal preference. Surprised that there was a lack of Nespresso machine or alternative herbal tea sachets. Having to step into a high bath for a shower that lacked any power. Why is there a bath and not a walk in power shower?

The B&B grounds was stunning to walk around and even the outdoor pool tempted me for an early swim on the Friday morning before one of the best breakfasts I’ll have this year….. Room so exceptional and had everything you’d need. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again.. 5 ⭐️

Wie schon andere Gäste schrieben: der Wasserdruck ist kaum vorhanden! Das wird beim Duschen, WC(!) etc. zum Problem! Und: Ich haben das schon vor unserer Buchung als Kritik gelesen. Weil eine andere Unterkunft aber wegen Überbuchung storniert wurde, hofften wir, dass das schon nicht so schlimm wird. Es war mehr als nervig. Und das bei dem hohen Preis ... Schade. Weil eigentlich ist es ein guter Ort!

It’s by a fairly busy road but it was quiet at night

The outdoor swimming pool for swimming in the summer was lovely and the garden was beautiful. Nice that you can play tennis with rackets provided. Breakfast was excellent. Electric fan provided in room which made a difference in keeping comfortable due to hot weather.

Bathroom very clean and tidy but shower water strength weak and toilet seat wouldn’t stay up. Minor irritations. Check-in time at 4pm, which was inconvenient for us as we arrived so much earlier, went away, and still came back too early and had to wait a short time for check in.

Beautiful period building, friendly very helpful professional staff, great outdoor swimming pool, close to Dorchester and excellent for cycling (including particularly down to the beach).

One of the very best B and Bs we’ve stayed in. Amanda, the owner and host, is charming and welcoming - clearly enjoying her work with guests. The house is lovely and spotlessly maintained, as are the grounds, which include a tennis court and a pool, and provide lots of room to relax as the house is set amidst several acres of lawns nicely populated by flowering shrubs and established trees. Breakfast was consistently delicious during our stay of five days and included an array of fresh fruit, juices, yogurt, and cereals, as well as cooked dishes made to order. Splendid place - I recommend it entirely without reservation.

The house and gardens are magnificent, the outdoor pool was lovely for a quick dip. Amanda the host was amazing, friendly, polite and happy to go that extra mile.

What did I like? I loved everything! Lovely large room, all facilities worked perfectly, the swimming pool was just at the perfect temperature, the breakfast was A1 (as usual), and Amanda and staff were fantastic!

A perfect 3 night stay. Large, clean, comfortable room. Check in and out very smooth. Breakfast was delicious and we met some lovely couples. Staff very friendly and attentive.

What a beautiful place to stay, the building and gardens are gorgeous with a lovely outdoor warm pool. The rooms were immaculate and very tastefully done with everything you needed. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was top notch! Breakfast is delicious with a great selection of cooked and continental offerings many of which are locally sourced. The staff were so nice and Amanda was such a great host. So much to do nearby and a decent pub a few minutes walk away for an evening meal . There was nothing we could fault, which says a lot! We will definitely be back.

We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived by Amanda. Our room was beautiful. I swam in the pool which was lovely after a tiring day. We enjoyed our breakfast very much. We could order a good range of cooked items. My smoked salmon & scrambled eggs were delicious. Also lovely filtered coffee. I will certainly be recommending Little Court to my friends.

What can we say, "perfect" the setting is most picturesque. Walled garden's with outdoor pool (the main reason we booked), which I used on arrival and both mornings before the excellent breakfast. The House and grounds are stunning. Their is also a very well maintained tennis court in the grounds with rackets and balls for the guests to use if needed. The room was clean, tidy and a good size with comfortable beds. It was a pleasant walk into Dorchester and back if your able, about 45 - 60 mins (with a nice country pub 2/3rds of the way back if you get tired!) Amanda and her staff were very helpful and friendly especially as they were fully booked the weekend we stayed.

Great welcome from the host really lovely house and gardens to relax in and rest by the pool, tennis court available and an excellent breakfast. I highly recommend a stay here.A good location for sculpture on the lakes and Bennett's water gardens which was the reason for our stay.We really enjoyed our stay and it was helpful that you can stay here for one night as many places in the area require a two night stay .

Attractive building and site on the road between Dorchester and Charminster. Spacious old style property - we saw deer walking in the grounds from our window. It was good to have a proper large bathroom of our own, which I prefer to the typical cramped en-suite at many hotels and B&Bs. Large comfortable bed. Quiet, relaxing spacious environment was a pleasure after a few days at pub guestrooms and small B&Bs.

The options for walking to somewhere for dinner are limited (though there is the Sun Inn on the road to the south). However, it is an easy drive into Dorchester and you can park for free from 6pm at the Top O Town car park

Zimmer, Frühstück und Bett sehr gut. Gastgeberin sehr freundlich und besorgt um das Wohl ihrer Gäste. Sehr charmantes und liebevoll eingerichtetes Zimmer. Zum Anwesen gehört auch ein sehr großzügiger und gepflegter Garten, sogar mit einem Pool. Bei gutem Wetter eine erfrischende Erholung.

Wie in vielen englischen Unterkünften ist das Thema warmes Wasser und Sanitär etwas unterentwickelt. Warmes Wasser im Bad mit ungefähr 5 Minuten Wartezeit, das Wasser tröpfelt eher als dass es fließt. Bis der WC-Spülkaten wieder gefüllt ist, vergehen ca. 10 Minuten. Aber das gehört wohl zu England dazu.

Breakfast was lovely, staff were friendly, pool was lovely, beds were comfy, gardens were immaculate and house itself was a lovely period property with good parking.

only thing that would be nice would be to have a little better water pressure in the showers. It is expected from a property of this age - but that would have made the whole stay perfect.

Awesome everything! Awesome host (Amanda), awesome brekkie, awesome old house, awesomely comfortable bed, awesome grounds, awesome location!

Hot water takes quite a while to come out of the tap hot...it's not a complaint but something I'm not used to and was the sole non-awesome thing about Little Court.

Beautiful property and gardens in a great location just 10 mins by bike along cycle track to Dorchester. Amanda and the staff are really helpful and welcoming. The pool and tennis court are fabulous.

Despite our having to change our plans more than once, Amanda was nothing less than charming in her welcome. We look forward to going to Little Court again as soon as we can.

Interesting period house. Rare chance to visit a listed courtyard designed house from the early 1900s. Such beautiful tranquil grounds. Such a privilege to find peace there. Plus Amanda - a perfect host. A quiet oasis close to Dorchester. Even deer visiting the garden.

Little Court is a charming place to stay and is quintessentially English, of its time and an antidote to the modern world. The walled garden is beautiful and the extensive wisteria blossoms fragrant in late April/May. The tennis court and pool have wonderful aspects to the garden and house. The breakfast was excellent. Amanda and her staff clearly knew and cared for the property and their customers.

We stayed at Little Court for a wedding in Dorchester/ Charlton Down. It was very convenient and extremely comfortable. Amanda went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed.

Only tiny downside was shower water pressure. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Amanda , the host was very friendly and greeted us upon arrival. She showed us to our rooms and explained about all the other facilities available. The hotel was very welcoming and comfortable. The rooms were spotless and had all the little essentials like shower gel , shampoo , tea and coffee etc. The gardens were very picturesque and the use of a pool and tennis courts in the warmer is an added bonus. Lovely peaceful location and ideal for travelling around to Osmington Mills, Weymouth etc. The breakfast was delicious, cereals and juices plus a choice of cooked food.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Little Court. We were greeted when we arrived personally by the owner. The lounge had a Christmas tree already up. The breakfasts are really exceptional and they certainly have earned their award from the AA

This B&B is excellent there is nothing not to like.

It was ideally situated for my visit. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, overlooking the garden. Breakfast was very good, service efficient. It was a very enjoyable two days, it was easy to come and go in my own time and I found my visit very relaxing.

The water took ages to flow through hot, but in an old house this wasn’t surprising, though it seemed a terrible waste of water.
