Reviewed Jul 25, 2026The resident cat makes us our stay lovely, she's very sweet, there's a resident dog also. I recommend the place for you if you're looking for a very nice view as the View is spectacular. Room is nice.
The stairs are quite steep but I'm sure u can manage if you're young and healthy, then you will love the place.
And if you book this place, please bring some food for the sweet girl, Tinka is her name 🐈. canned filipino sardines will do. . I was so sad leaving her. We miss her. Bye Tinka.

Reviewed Apr 27, 2026Vi brugte tre nætter ved Evergreen Bayview. Det var fantastisk skønt. Ejeren er sød og hjælpsom. Gør jer selv en tjeneste og sæt jer på den lille terrasse og nyd en øl/sodavand og nyd udsigten udover bugten - især ved solnedgang.
Nemt med booking af scooter til at udforske nærliggende vandfald og strande. Der er lavet et lille parkeringsområde til disse ved vejen. Evergreen Bayview giver fornemmelsen af en lille oase.

A due passi dai locali,intero cottage con una piccola saletta una camera da letto,bagno e una piccola cucina.
All esterno tavolo e sedie sia sul retro che davanti, sdraio e terrazza con tavolo che affaccia sulla baia.
A disposizione anche frigo con le bibite.
Proprietario veramente gentile e disponibile . Prezzi mooolto competitivi. Torneremo sicuramente.
In realtà era tutto perfetto,forse qualcuno potrebbe trovare il bagno molto minimal ma per noi non era un problema.

Walter exceptionally helpful and friendly and sorted out some wine and balloons for my partners birthday. Few mins walk to beach. Quite a climb to bungalow but worth it for the view.

La localisation est idéale : suffisamment éloignée du centre pour profiter d’un calme absolu, tout en restant proche des commodités. La vue est tout simplement à couper le souffle, un vrai plaisir du matin au soir.
L’extérieur est parfaitement entretenu, ce qui rend l’endroit encore plus charmant et reposant. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la gentillesse et la grande serviabilité du propriétaire, toujours disponible et attentionné.
La prestation est cohérente avec le prix proposé : le logement est simple et fonctionnel. Il ne faut pas s’attendre à des équipements dernier cri ou à un confort haut de gamme ; pour cela, il faudra se tourner vers un autre type d’établissement. Ici, on vient surtout pour le cadre, la tranquillité et l’authenticité.
À noter toutefois : le logement n’est pas accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite, l’accès se faisant par une trentaine de marches assez raides.
En résumé, un excellent choix pour ceux qui recherchent le calme, une vue exceptionnelle et un accueil chaleureux.

NOT recommended except the fantastic view! Very basic, horrible stairs, few amenities, too many inconveniences. No flush commode, tiny room and tiniest bathroom, no hot water...the list can go long. No food or meal options despite being away from shops and restaurants. Huge problem with rain, typhoon...etc. Disappointing!

Reviewed Jan 27, 2026The view, the size of the cabins, the breeze, the garden, the owner - all excellent. I didn't use the kitchen, but it would be handy for cooking breakfast and simple meals if staying for a longer time.
Mattress a touch on the thin side for a heavy side sleeper like me. The cabin interior is a bit dated, but that is reflected in the cost.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Sehr schöne Lage am Hügel. Zu Fuss ist man sehr schnell am Strand, wo alle Restaurants sind. Sehr einfach ausgestattet. Das Personal, sowie der Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Dusche ist sehr klein, man duscht quasi auf der Kloschüssel.

Las vistas desde el alojamiento son preciosas. Walter fue atento y muy amable, nos recogió y llevó al alojamiento el primer día y el último nos acercó a la estación de bus. Nos ayudó y nos dio información de la zona. El alojamiento es una casa de 3 plantas, amplio y cuenta con una cocina básica. La zona exterior de jardín está muy bien cuidada y es muy agradable.
El alojamiento está alejado del centro, lo que implica desplazarse unos 15-20 minutos en pendiente para llegar. El camino es algo resbaladizo cuando llueve y vendría bien añadir alguna barandilla. El baño es bastante básico y pequeño y no hay agua caliente. A pesar de haber un aparato de aire acondicionado en la habitación, hay que pagar extra para usarlo, aunque se dispone de ventilador. No ofrecen amenities ni agua como en otros alojamientos. Tuvimos la mala suerte de coincidir con la fiesta del barrio y pusieron música durante toda la noche hasta las 6 de la mañana a un volumen insoportable; Walter nos advirtió sobre ello pero estaba fuera de su control, y nos animó a poner una reclamación al ayuntamiento. Además, hay un hotel al otro lado de la carretera donde ponen música también bastante alta por la noche.

Reviewed Oct 24, 2025Vue incroyable sur Port Barton, tout se fait facilement à pied depuis la maisonnette. Petite cuisine avec quelques équipements. Petit shop pour acheter des bouteilles d’eau, soda et bières et quelques essentiels dans la propriété.
La climatisation est en option. Pas d’eau ni de café inclus.

Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das WLAN funktioniert nur dürftig, manchmal auch gar nicht. Man hört leider frühmorgens die Motorboote aus der bucht fahren. Es gibt nur kaltes Wasser zum duschen. Im Schlafzimmer wären vorhänge praktisch gewesen um das Zimmer abzudunkeln

Reviewed Jun 10, 2025The amazing view, peaceful , near fishing village where you can buy cheap fresh fish , crabs and squid from the locals. Cooking is allowed with cookwares and utensils also with ref and percolator. Water not a problem. Courteous and helpful caretaker.
Distance to terminal, restos and hopping jump off. Our unit had no aircon on our first night. We transferred to the other unit with aircon (for addtl fee) when the previous guest left. Internet connection was erratic. Very hot when you cook in the kitchen area and the fire alarm goes off everytime. Maybe install an exhaust fan in the kitchen coz the the heat from the aircon exhaust also goes thru the kitchen. Opening the door to the kitchen would let mosquitoes or the feral cats come in.

The small house is very cute but you must expect a rustic experience. The equipment is not good, the mattress is extremely thin and there is no hot water which was not an issue but should be made clearer. The accommodation is quite dusty and though the views are amazing from the property, you cannot see anything from the house.

The owner is very nice and can give you good recommendations.
Wifi never worked, it's something quite important for people who are travelling cause we need to keep up organising our trips and even the signal of my data plan didn't arrive well.

Short walk to the main beach and all of the bars/restaurants but arguably the best view of all the accommodation around. Amazing value for money, I think we paid around £60 for 4 nights! Access to a fridge with beers/water in 24/7 was also a really lovely touch. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone!

Reviewed Oct 26, 2024The breathtaking view of Port barton. It is a romantic and quiet place to stay. Sir Walter the owner gave us superb service. We appreciate the kitchenette since we cook our food. The place is also very clean. The location is very unique you can see a lot of birds wondering and insects haha
It's rainy season so there where a lot of mosquitos but we already expected that. So we are writing for your awareness. Sir Walter even recommended us mosquito repellent.

Reviewed Jun 18, 2024We stayed here for 6 days. The idea of staying on the hillside with a stunning view was better in our heads than in reality. Yes, the garden and sunset view from the hill was lovely. However, it came with a price and robbed us a better Port Barton experience. On our first day, we were welcomed by mosquito bites as we watched the sunset. Even with repellant, they still attacked. I believed we got more bites on our way up to the property. It’s definitely more than 30 steps. We had to stop halfway up and we can see a lot of mosquitoes in the area. It needs some fumigation service. Shower room was not deeply cleaned. A lot of mildew and yellow stains. The last reason that made us checked out early on the 5th day was because of cockroaches. We saw one inside our room on the 2nd day. We bought Baygon spray and sprayed the whole house. On the 4th day, as I opened my luggage, i felt something crawled on my arm. A cockroach. We packed as fast as we could and booked in a better place in town for the same price with hot shower and good internet connection. Sad to see a beautiful property gets ruined due to poor management.
1. The “wifi” is just a small portable device from Globe company that you need to return to the store for someone else to use. For the 6 days that we were there, we were not able to connect and use the wifi. It’s always saying “No internet connection.” The staff said it has some credits/ data but just poor signal. We had to go down to Oasis Restaurant to connect to a wifi and I bought a mobile data from Globe instead via Maya esim and it worked. I was able to gain connection. So the issue is not poor connectivity.
2. Yes, it was completely isolated from the busy town. Literally. No tricycles passing by. The shortest way is to walk through the beach to get to town but not the smartest thing to do especially in the evening. There were no streetlights.
3. One of the reasons we booked here was because several mentioned how accommodating the staff was. That’s not the experience we had. It was hard to find the man as he can only be contacted via a local number which we don’t have. We had to message through Booking and someone else is replying to us.

Stayed in cheaper deluxe double room which unfortunately has inaccurate advertising on booking.com - said it included bath, tea and coffee maker, kitchen facilities (refrigerator), dining area, WiFi etc had none of these just very basic hot room. Small bathroom outside door entry only very poor shower - pressure too low to use. Also have to pay for water refill. Nothing against the owner who was lovely and the room was cheap I just think the description should be changed.

The bed was super uncomfortable and the bathroom and shower was sub par. We felt the photos were misleading. We also didn’t have our bin emptied and we were not allowed to flush toilet paper, this caused many bugs to come into the room and the window nets had holes in them so unfortunately we got bitten a lot by bugs.

It’s a little out of town but a nice walk up a hill. Be prepared for a few tiring steps to the property itself but that’s how you get a good view.

The rooms are fairly basic but have their own kitchen, good balconies to enjoy the view and there’s also a good seating area outside with fantastic views. You will need a torch when walking to the main town at night along the beach.

Reviewed Feb 18, 2024It was away from the town so it was very quiet and has this beautiful view of the bay with stunning sunsets (I wish I could attach more pictures to this feedback). It was great value for money and the staff were amazing. Walter helped arrange lifts to the accommodation and reserve our bus journey out of port Barton. Christian arranged for us to go on a combination boat tour which was superb and even offered us a lift down to the beach in the morning. Everyone was really willing to help us make our stay and experience as good as possible and both spoke very good English. There was a hut on site with drinks that we could purchase and which were kept refrigerated so we didn't have to carry bottles of water back from town. The gardens in the resort are exceptional and overall it was a stunning place to stay. We saw a really cool gecko above our door, and on the walk up to the resort there was a big lizard that we saw for a split second but if we had stayed closer to town we wouldn't have had these encounters so it was great to feel like we were a bit more remote. Do note it is an uphill walk from town (about 15 mins) and some steep steps leading up to the property - this wasn't an issue for us but is worth keeping in mind as the pictures don't really show this. Also there is a shower but this is not heated - it was ok for us as we were very hot so cold water was fine but this might not be ok for everyone!
Free WiFi is available throughout the property but this is actually just one portable WiFi device which is shared between the properties so once you use it, this gets returned to the hut for someone else to use. Some days we didn't get a chance to use it at all and we were not close enough to the other huts to be able to connect when they were using it. There is no AC in the room and in the afternoons the accommodation did get very hot - the fan helped cool it down a bit but not much.

The views over the bay are amazing and because its a little out of the town it is quiet and away from the hustle & bustle. For breakfast go into the restaurant they have in town.

The view from the garden is great, sunrises and sunsets were amazing from the villa. The quality-cost rate is fair as this is quite a cheap place to stay in port Barton. The host is very nice and helpful, he arranged the transport to El Nido for us and the driver he recommended drove safely.
Please do not expect anything fancy - no hot water or AC available and there is no a real shower, you have to shower next to the WC, so everything gets wet. The mattress was really hard and uncomfortable.
The views of the bay were beautiful and the concept of the place is really nice. The host, Walter, was really attentive and helpful with everything.
The sleeping room gets really fresh during the nights. It gets the fresh breeze in the night. That was a great.
The terrace to have a coffee or a beer overlooking the town is a great place.
It can get really hot in the afternoon, as the sun hits directly and there was no breeze, although the fans in the rooms help with that. There were no mosquito nets in the kitchen, so it was not easy to "ventilate" and that area can get very warm.

Reviewed Oct 25, 2023These bungalows definitely have the best location in Port Barton, overlooking the entire bay, yet only a short stroll along the beach into town. The bungalow is very well designed, it stays cool so no need for AC. The kitchen is functional and the living room and bedroom are spacious. Plus there's gardens front and back. The bungalow is functional and very good value. Plus Walter is an excellent host, very kind and thoughtful. There's a small building for supplies, including drinks and the viewing terrace is the perfect place to unwind with a drink. The views are the real selling point though; stunning.
The shower isn't great but there's a large kettle and the bucket and chuck it system. One kettle of water in the bucket and top it up with cold and use the jug to get a much more effective experience than standing under the weak shower.

Beautiful location on the hill overlooking the bay! Close walk to town along the beach. The owner was friendly and super helpful! The property is up on a hill so you have to be able to walk some steep stairs up to the cottages. They were helpful with the luggage and with transport! Beer and water was available for purchase. Lovely sitting area overlooking the bay! Beautifully maintained property. We loved our stay here!
The futon bed downstairs was pretty hard. Probably just fine for kids or younger people with good backs.

Reviewed Mar 30, 2023We stayed 3 people at Walther’s place for 3+2 days. The view is amazing from the cottage. It is a quiet place, clean and there was a small kitchenette to boil water and cook a simple meal. Simple and good. Good value for money.
The wifi was unstable and no running water in the toilets, but it is quite normal for the area.
