Mr Kim was very happy to help with any questions I had via a Translator app. He also washed and dried a small load of laundry which was a wonderful add on. This happens after the second night stay.

Mister Kim est aux petits soins - conseils, cours d'utilisation de baguettes, petit déjeuner copieux, il nous a déposé à la gare d'autobus pour une sortie, il nous a fait le linge... Nous avons passé un super séjour - merci!

Ein sehr nett eingerichtetes kleines Guesthouse in Hafennähe, kleine Gästeküche, alles liebevoll dekoriert, sehr, sehr sauber. Kostenloser Wäscheservice vom Chef persönlich. Sogar das vergessene T-Shirt hat er uns zugeschickt.

Mr. Kim was really nice. He explained everything, showed us around and made sure we had a comfortable stay even though we were only there for one night. The breakfast was great as well, he even made eggs for us and I loved the idea that everyone who stayed at the guesthouse took a polaroid photo. It is a nice memory 😊

The host was very helpful and gave us lots of information and advice. He even called the ferry company on our behalf. Thanks again.

Mr Kim was a great host and the family room was a comfortable size for 3 adults and 2 children. The location is in a lovely part of old town so it was a charming place to explore.

As much as I really appreciated breakfast, it would have been nice to have some fruit included. The bathroom is quite small and the door didn't seem to be sealed well, so it leaked into the main room at times.

This is a charming place with everything thoughtfully provided. Our host was very generous with his time and dropped us at the bus station on our last morning. Mokpo is definitely worth a visit for it's low key feel and its glimpses of old Korea.

I wasn't sure about how the bedding worked, so perhaps ask if you're not sure either.

The room was very clean and Mr Kim was very hospitable. He put care into preparing the room and making sure we were comfortable throughout the stay. He even drove us to the port the in morning for our ferry to Jeju.

Room was quiet small, however it was relatively inexpensive, so you pay for what you get.

Breakfast was simple: toast with butter and marmalade, fried eggs made on the spot by the guesthouse owner and coffee + juice selection. But the bread was delicious and the eggs were fresh.

Sehr authentisches Guesthouse mit urigem Ambiente. Wir wurden direkt empfangen und haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer war prima und wir haben gut geschlafen. Die Lage ist ruhig und günstig gelegen. Zum Sonnenuntergang haben wir in Richtung Mittelstation der Seilbahn geschaut. Wir konnten unseren Mietwagen direkt vor der Tür parken und bekamen ein gutes Frühstück. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und man kann gut mit ihm kommunizieren. Es war wunderbar.

L’accueil a été excellent. Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié d’avoir du linge propre, le tout pour un service gratuit.

La chambre était très petite. De plus, nous avions réservé 2 lits simples et n’avons eu au final qu’un lit double.

The host was amazing! He tried to help us with anything we asked him. He was really nice and welcoming. This is my second time coming here and it is still as great.

Un accueil professionnel et chaleureux par le maître des lieux qui travaille seul et entretien la Guesthouse avec sérieux…on se sent presque comme à la maison (coin cuisine ,propose de faire votre lessive gracieusement et vous la rend le soir même),deco sympa,lit confortable ,même si la chambre n’est pas très grande tout y est.

Host, Mr Kim is highly motivated to make guests comfortable. He live close by. Old Japanese era built house was totally renovated. All rooms have own bathrooms. There is a large common area for breakfast and hang out. Room was clean. Bathroom is bit small but well designed. Highly recommend.

As the guesthouse is located in an old building, the interiors are very pretty and cozy. Each detail is very curated, and the host is clearly passionate about his work. He was extremely kind as he served me breakfast and even gave me a ride to the ferry terminal in the morning. Had a great stay.

변기 사용할때 비데가 없어 차가웠던점 빼면 없네용.

위치가 아주 좋고 사장님이 매우 친절하심. 그리고 옛날 건축물을 상태 보존하면서 리모델링하신 것 같다. 적산가옥 체험을 할 수 있어서 좋았다.

딱히 없음. 옛날집의 계단이라 좁으니 조심하라고 사장님도 주의말씀 해주시면서 신경써주셨다. 그런데 하루종일 오르내릴 게 아니기 때문에 여행차 묵는 입장에서는 크게 힘들지 않다.

Dormire sul pavimento duro è un po’ scomodo e nel bagno la doccia non è separata però si tratta di case tradizionale bisogna adattarsi

객실의 세면대와 샤워장소가 협소한 것이 유일한 아쉬움

素晴らしい宿でした。広くはありませんが、必要なものは全てありますし、とても清潔です。 そして一番素晴らしいのは、Kimさんがとても親切であることです。あらゆる面で親切にしてくれます。 済州島に行く朝は、早朝に朝食を作ってくれた後、少し離れたSamhak港まで、ご自分の車で私を送ってくれました。 次回は必ず家族全員で再訪したいと思います。

Mr Kim is very kind and drove us to the ferry in the morning (there are 2 ports to take the ferry in Mokpo, his house is near one of of them but the other one is 30 min away walking) Good breakfast Clean and cute room

The host (Mr Kin) could not be more friendly and helpful. Even before I arrived he checked how I was arriving and gave me directions from the ferry port as well as photos to help me find the hotel. The room was exactly as pictured, no surprises, and while it wasnt a big room, it had more than enough amenities and a small kitchen downstairs. The esthetic of the whole place was lovely, with unique decorations on the walls and soft music playing, very relaxing.

1. Het ontbijt was ongelooflijk slecht. Toast en aardbeien jam, jus d orange en bijna koude koffie, die ook nog eens te drinken was. Je moet ook een vaste tijd voor het ontbijt doorgeven. Waarom geen bloktijd. Dat is een stuk prettiger voor de klant 2. De douche was boven de wastafel zodat veel nat werd. 3. De man deed zijn best je te informeren maar met de vertalingen koste het heel veel tijd. Veel informatie kan ook voor aankomst worden medegedeeld.

Very cozy guest house, which is more than 100 years old, but it’s very comfortable and has everything what is needed for a short stay during holidays. The host is super friendly - he came early (at 7 am on Saturday) to prepare breakfast for us, took a Polaroid photo, hang it on the wall next to other guests, gave us 1 photo for the memory and even took us to morning ferry by his car, we sincerely appreciate it. Also location is very good - we came from train station by foot and it’s a very nice neighborhood, we had a pleasant walk after dinner.

Mr Kim was amazing he used the translator to communicate with us & drove us to the ferry without charge. His hospitality knows no bounds!

The host is amazing!! He was so sweet and proactive and even gave us a ride twice because we arrived late and it rained.

Location is perfect those traveling in by train or ferry, great breakfast, very communicative and helpful host. Kim Gab Ryul helped me get where I was going and pointed me to local food. A great host and prime location if traveling through Mokpo.

End of summer there are mosquitos but the host has electric traps in place to help the problem. I was not affected by this.

Querky little guesthouse. Super nice and helpful owner. Close to plenty of places to eat and drink. Just the one night stay prior to getting ferry to JeJu , nice and close to ferry terminal and owner helpfully drove us there as well. Highly recommended.

Mr Kim has to be the nicest host we've ever had. It felt like we were staying with a friend. He was full of helpful suggestions and information, he even did a screenshot so we could just show it to the taxi driver to make sure we got to the place we wanted to go later in the day. He also dropped us off at the ferry terminal in the morning. The guesthouse itself is lovely, beds were comfortable, AC worked well, hot shower, tea and coffee are provided in the communal kitchen, basic toiletries are provided in the room and breakfast was great (eggs, toast, jam, juices and coffee). We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone to book here. If I could give it a higher rating I would! Thanks again Mr Kim!

The host is a very nice and helpful person and reserved a parking space just in front of the guest house for us. The rooms were clean, air conditioned, and the beds comfortable. The location is fine, close to the ferries, restaurants, etc. Very good value for money !

The rooms a quite small (no access on both sides of the double bed and the bathroom is also very small (shower, toilet etc in approx. 1m2). But practicable. It’s a guesthouse, with very reasonable price, so don’t expect a 5 stars suite, but enjoy the typically Korean atmosphere and the host explanations !

il gestore è stato davvero gentilissimo e ha fatto di tutto per comunicare con noi Colazione buona Posizione centrale e non lontana dal porto da cui partono i traghetti per Jeju, la struttura ha offerto il servizio transfer per il porto.

El sitio es encantador. Tiene todo lo que uno necesita. Está cerca del puerto, lo que mas me gusta de Mokpo. El Señor Kim es una bellísima persona, te ayuda y aconseja todo lo que puede. Cuando vuelva a Mokpo, volveré a hospedarme sin duda.

The hotel is conveniently located in Mokpo. The rooms are really nice and very clean. The owner is marvelous, such a friendly person! He prepared a nice breakfast every morning. This is a place we will definitely remember!

Mr. Kim was so nice and explained everything very well. He even took little Polaroids to hang up, and one he gave to me as a souvenir. He also gave a fantastic restaurant as a recommendation, and a tour guide pamphlet. Absolutely wonderful vibe. And the guesthouse was also very cute.

Our second stay at Leehakjang was excellent. The basic, clean accommodation is terrific value. Our host does everything possible to assist you

This gusthouse is very clean and comfortable. Our host, Mr. Kim was outstanding. We had to catch the 8:30 am ferry to Jeju Island with our folding bikes. As it was raining heavily in the morning, Mr. Kim very kindly drove us and our bikes to the ferry.

Our rooms was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. A big thank you to Mr. Kim for his warm welcome and attentive service; he truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home.

Our room was well equipped with a small fridge and a good air conditioning unit. Mr. Kim was extremely friendly and helpful, telling us about our room and our stay in general. He recommended a delicious restaurant, which he called the owners to let them know we were coming. I couldn't ask for a nicer host. He went above and beyond. He even drove us to the port for our ferry to Jeju the morning of our departure. Please consider booking a stay at 이학장 guesthouse. You won't be disappointed.

Just keep in mind it's an old building with steep stairs if that affects you, but I have nothing negative to say in general.

The owner is absolutely delightful. He drove us to the Jeju ferry as it wasn't the one nearest to the guesthouse. He even offered to take us to the train station, too. Mr. Kim has been the loveliest host in our six week adventure around Korea. The location is excellent as it is a 15-minute walk to the train station, and we walked up Yudalsan from there.

This is noting to do with Mr. Kim, but we got confused with the Jeju Ferry. We assumed it would leave from the terminal, which is a 5-minute walk from the guest house, but it left from Samhak Terminal. It returned into the International Passenger Terminal, which is the closer Terminal to Leehakjang!! We were very confused, but Mr. Kim's kindness saved the day when he dropped us off at Samhak.

Guest house in a great location. Room very comfy and cosy with additional communal kitchen space. The highlight is the warm and very helpful Mr Kim , the guesthouse owner who very kindly made us an early breakfast and dropped us at the ferry.

Well located to visit Mokpo main sites and cute streets. There is a kitchen you can use if you want to cook (and the owner prepares breakfast there for you). Overall the place is nice and feels home. The owner very nicely offered to drive us to the ferry terminal (the ferry to Jeju sets off from a terminal afar, not from one of the terminals right next to the guesthouse). He is very much into collecting Polaroids of all his guests so be prepared to spend 15 min of your morning for the Polaroid routine :-) (or be prepared to telling him you don't want to do it).

The room but moreover the bathroom were really small. The bathroom felt claustrophobic. The beds are comfortable but it was super hot inside the room and we had no way of regulating the temperature. We realised it too late to be able to ask the owner to cut the heating, as a result we didn't sleep well (we opened the window but then it was loud and also too cold for the person right below the window). The breakfast is included but it was slightly odd as the owner toasted bread for us (even if we didn't want that much bread) and the coffee was really bad (coffee machine with filter but super few spoons of coffee so was super clear and tasted like nothing). Although we appreciate the owner's kindness, we would have preferred to prepare our own breakfast. Also there were no cereals, just bread and "butter" (it's margarine, the same they have in all the guesthouses, not quality butter) and strawberry jam, but there are eggs (a plus VS other guesthouses if you like having a fried egg in the morning, but it wasn't our case that day).

Super helpful host

Mr Lee is incredibly generous, well-organised and kind. He really made our visit special. He made sure we arrived and departed safely and comfortably, and he was always ready to help with anything we needed.

The room is a little small, but for 1 night it really didn't matter. Seeing as the price is not high at all, you really get more than you pay for.

The boss Mr Kim could not have been more helpful. We had made a train booking mistake, and if it wasn't for his research etc. We would have missed our flights to Jeju Island. He also was so helpful in other areas as well, such a as restaurants and sightseeing. The proximity of the guest house to the ferry terminal is only a couple of minutes walk , and we are in our 70's.

What a warm and welcoming stay. Super clean with everything you need. Mr Kim is so helpful and friendly! Would 100% recommend!
