Dakterras met uitzicht op zee, grote kamer die leuk is ingericht, zwembad, duidelijke check-in instructies

Het bed was erg oncomfortabel, matras ligt in een betonnen frame zonder lattenbodem. De wifi was helaas niet overal beschikbaar (bijv. niet op het dakterras). Ondanks dat de accomodatie veel potentie heeft, moeten er echt wel een aantal verbeteringen gedaan worden wil het je geld waard zijn. Je hoort al het geluid vanbuiten en vanuit de andere kamers. Ook zijn er geen gordijnen in de badkamer, waardoor de straatverlichting ‘s nachts je kamer in schijnt. De sensoren van de lichten buiten gingen ‘s nachts verschillende keren aan. De kamer werd niet schoongemaakt tijdens ons verblijf ondanks dat we er 3 nachten verbleven, we hadden 1x een schoonmaak wel gewaardeerd.

The room was very clean with housekeeping most days. Wifi was available. Location was great, walking distance to some local cafes and restaurants. The host was responsive and helpful

There was a small bar fridge, but it was a bit weak. The pool also seemed a bit murky so we didn't feel comfortable using it. The hot tub upstairs was also cold. The outdoor areas in general seemed a bit neglected, but fine enough for a few days.

Die Unterkunft hatte eine super Lage, in einer ruhigen Straße, aber nur einen kurzen Fußweg zur Haupstraße von La Gaulette, wo sich ein tolles Frühstückscafé und viele, großartige Restaurants befinden. Direkt gegenüber der Unterkunft ist ein kleiner Grünstreifen, auf dem wir parken konnten, das war kein Problem, wir haben immer einen Platz bekommen und haben uns keine Sorgen um das Auto gemacht. Der Kontakt zu Mathieu im Vorfeld und der Self-Check in bei der Ankunft hat super funktioniert, wir hatten keine Probleme. Die Unterkunft selbst war super, super schön. Das Zimmer war schön groß, man hatte viel Platz um die Koffer abzustellen. Es gibt einen kleinen Kühlschrank und eine Kaffeemaschine, für die wir im nahegelegenen Supermarkt neue Kapseln gekauft haben. Die Terrasse mit Tisch, Stühlen und Liege war auch super, da konnte man abends sehr gut sitzen. Das Badezimmer ist offen gestaltet, die Wände gehen nicht bis direkt an die Decke hoch, es gibt aber eine Schiebetür. Somit hört man im Zimmer alles was im Bad passiert. Das war für uns aber voll okay. Wie auch schon andere Gäste geschrieben haben, sind die drei Zimmer mit einer Verbindungstür getrennt. Wir hatten das mittlere Zimmer, haben die Nachbarn aber nur ab und zu gehört, da alle respektvoll waren und sich leise im Zimmer, vor allem am Abend/ Nacht, verhalten haben. Ich kann die Unterkunft nur empfehlen und wir werden sicher nochmal wiederkommen!

Absentee manager and having no water for half of our stay as well as a leaking toilet cistern for over 24 hours. The property has good bones but needs a good tidy up.

Zalige dakterras! Bijna altijd zon, fijn om daar tot rust te komen.

Keukentje zit in een donkere hoek en is minder aantrekkelijk om daar te koken. Je hoort de buren heel goed.

Super logement, la vue sur le rooftop est incroyable et les deux piscines sont très appréciées. La chambre est spacieuse

La cuisine en extérieur n’est pas l’idéal notamment en hiver où il peut y avoir beaucoup de pluie , il manque un micro-onde

Notre chambre était communicante et s'était extrêmement déplaisant. La nuit de l'autre côté de la porte était agitée et du coup pour nous très inconfortable, très mauvaise insonorisation

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour, tout était à notre disposition dans la chambre. Séjour effectué avec un enfant de 10ans et elle a adoré. Le propriétaire était très disponible et chaleureux. Environnement très calme et le roftop incroyable ! On reviendra !

Un aménagement parfait des chambres et du roof top réalisé avec goût et volonté de proposer plus qu'une simple chambre si confortable soit elle. Le petit espace piscine est adorable. Merci pour ce lieu très bien pensé.

L'insonorisation et l'intimité entre les chambres. Quand toutes les chambres sont occupées, il manque un peu d'équipement type vaisselle. La table a manger sur le roof top n'a que 4 chaises. Des détails.

Very beautiful property with the most beautiful views of Le Morne Brabant from the terrace. The sunset view from the terrace is something not to miss! My husband and I sat and watched the stars at night. Pool was really nice too and rooms very clean. Wonderful stay!

Maybe one thing can be improved like checking basic amenities like there was no hand wash and also providing extra beach towels as I’m not sure but there was no washing machine around not sure if we missed it.

We felt very comfortable during our stay. There is a wonderful café within walking distance for breakfast (Kind Kaffee), and the view from the terrace is absolutely beautiful. Many great experiences and sights can be reached very quickly, and the beaches are simply amazing. Mathieu is a fantastic host — very kind, attentive, and truly caring.

cozy but modern room! We loved the roof terrace for sunsets and felt very happy about the constant support by the host and the room mate during our stay.

One should be aware of the bathroom not having a ceiling, so that there is only visual separation the the bedroom.

Le jaccuzi n'est pas un jacuzzi mais juste un petit bassin, les jets ne fonctionnaient pas.

Fantastische Terrasse mit schöner Aussicht und sie war teils bedeckt was schön Schatten gegeben hat. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Die Gegend ist ziemlich ruhig und es stehen Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Gehdistanz zu diversen Restaurants möglich. Die Klimaanlage ist gut positioniert so dass es nicht direkt ins Bett zieht.

Ddas Bett sehr hart (natürlich ist dies Geschmacksache), die Beleuchtung im Bad war nicht ausreichend. Es hat uns ein Ganzkörperspielgel sowie Kleiderbügel für die Kleidung oder Hacken für die Tücher gefehlt (für 3 Tage war es ok). Deim bereitgestellten Wasser im Krug (im Kühlschrank) bin ich mir nicht so sicher, ob das noch gut war. Leider hatte ich nach dem Aufenthalt einen Darminfekt. Ich will niemanden beschuldigen. Könnte allenfalls auch von einem Restaurant gewesen sein. EInfach aufpassen für künftige Gäste empfehle ich geschlossene Pet-Flaschen. Der Aussenpool im Erdgeschoss war sehr dreckig und die gesamte Unterkunft sehr ringhörig. Das Internet hat nicht einwandfrei funktioniert. Preis-Leistung hat für uns nicht so gepasst.

Tout était parfait, l’entrée autonome. Les lieux très propre et jolie. La terrasse et belle vu en haut du coucher de soleil. Et le petit chat de la résidence qui nous tenais compagnie :D

. Gute Lage im Süden, 15min zum Morne. Kleiner Supermarkt nicht weit sowie diverse Imbisse und Restaurants. Abseits der Hauptstraße gelegen. Toller Sonnenuntergang von der Dachterrasse. Zimmer gut ausgestattet und sauber

Es gibt 3 Zimmer, aneinander gereiht. Leider aller im Zimmer durch eine Verbindungstür verbunden, welche die Zimmer extrem hellhörig macht, man hat wirklich das Gefühl man sei im gleichen Raum. Zum Glück waren beide Bewohner sehr rücksichtsvoll und es war ok. Die Möbel im aussenbereich könnten erneuert werden, sind abgewetzt o kaputt.

Great room and service in an excellent location. Good facilities including pool and well designed areas. Liked Rooftop seating area for sunsets 👍🏼. Comfortable bed. Responsive owner and daily maid service. Lots of local restaurants and shopping nearby. Short drive/cycle to beaches.

Liked the outdoor kitchen idea but needs a bit of care and equipment that’s up to the task. Also needs crockery etc allocated for each room to ensure it’s there when needed.

Tolles, gemütliches Zimmer mit Terrasse zum Pool, tolle Ausstattung und Platz. Die Lage in La Gaulette, einem netten Fischerdorf mit guten Restaurants, war für uns ideal für Ausflüge im Süden und Westen.

Muy buena ubicación,la verdad y el dueño en todo momento muy atento y amable nos contestó y nos envió varios vídeos de cómo acceder a las instalaciones .

Las toallas no se cambian ,no hay toallas de playa ,el Netflix era raro,no puede ver nada ,la caja fuerte tuvimos problemas al abrirla ,simplemente se bloqueó ,mi pareja que es experto la abrió con la llave de la puerta de la habitación. Las cortinas no son 100% black out ,así que por la gente que necesita oscuridad al dormir es complicado.

L'emplacement du logement est proche de toute commodité (supérette, restaurants). Il s'agit d'un quartier très calme et sécuritaire. La vue du roof-top est magnifique, surtout lors du coucher du soleil. La piscine à proximité de la terrasse est un véritable point positif. Nous avons apprécié la réactivité de l'hôte en cas de manquements dans le logement ou de questions de notre part.

Les chambres sont accolées les unes aux autres, et l'isolation n'est pas idéale (on entend les voisins parler ou regarder la télévision). Il manquait des ustensiles de cuisine (bols, assiettes, etc.). Si les 3 chambres sont occupées, et que tout le monde utilise la cuisine extérieure, il peut clairement manquer de la vaisselle.

Nous avons aimé l'emplacement de la maison dans un quartier résidentiel à proximité de la plage Morne. Parking juste en face de la maison .il y aussi à 3 minutes en voiture la possibilité de prendre un petit déjeuner en terrasse chez Franzbrötchen c'est à l'arrière d'un restaurant. Les prix sont très abordables et l'accueil est top.

Les points négatifs sont le manque d'insonorisation entre les chambres qui ont toutes une porte communicante. On entend vraiment tout. Il manque aussi des couverts dans la cuisine. Nous aurions apprécié une bouteille d'eau minérale plutôt qu'une carafe.

Ce logement est une pépite, nous avons pu profiter de la piscine et du magnifique rooftop qui offrait chaque soir une vue imprenable sur le coucher de soleil avec une vue sur l'île au Bénitiers et sur le Morne.

Die Unterkunft ist an sich schön und liegt in La Gaulette, in der Nähe von Le Morne und auch ein super Ausgangspunkt für Aktivitäten (Black River Nationalpark, Chamarel etc.). Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet. Praktisch ist auch die Aufhängung des Mosquitonetz und vor allem der tolle Ausblick von der Dachterasse.

Ingesamt hatten wir uns basierend auf den Bewertungen von dieser Unterkunft und für den Preis etwas mehr erhofft. Vieles wirkt im Vergleich zu den Videos und Bildern schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der Pool ist stylisch, war aber nicht einladend, trüb mit relativ viel Algen und Dreck and der Wasseroberfläche. Im Zimmer waren Lampen kaputt. Gut wären auch robuste Lösungen zum Handtücher aufhängen.

La struttura non è male, ma è decisamente migliorabile. Sì trova in una posizione comoda per raggiungere alcune parti dell’isola veramente belle.

Da migliorare la pulizia della piscina e della vasca idromassaggio esterne. La domenica non ci hanno fatto le pulizie, il gatto di notte azionava la fotocellula e continuava ad accendersi la luce esterna. Ho soggiornato in altre strutture a Mauritius che, allo stesso prezzo, offrivano servizi decisamente migliori. Non ci tornerei.

Le logement est très bien placé. Accès simple avec un parking. La chambre est spacieuse avec accès direct à la terrasse et la piscine. Et le rooftop avec le jacuzzi et la vue sur le Morne.

Notre réfrigérateur fuyait pas mal. Ce qui laissé une flaque dans la chambre et les guirlandes lumineuses et la lumière sur le rooftop qui ne fonctionnaient pas

La communication avec l’hôte avant notre arrivée et pendant notre séjour a toujours été nickel. Les chambres étaient grandes et propres. La terrasse a une vue magnifique sur l’île du bénitier (l’établissement porte bien son nom ;) ). Pour ce qui est des équipements communs avec les 2 autres chambres rien à dire. Pas de problème avec les autres clients. Au top je recommande !!

Mathieu was really polite and nice host, he even let us stay longer then we was supposed to leave/check out by 10AM. Good location, the grocery store is near by just 3 minutes walk from apartment, but you need to rent a car to visit some places around here. Very nice beach near Le Morne, Branant mountain about 5 minutes to drive.

Nice decorated room with terrace directly at the pool. The upstairs terrace with pool and seating area is really nice and has an amazing view. Great communication with the host! I would recommend having a car if you want to go to the beach, as you will have to go to Le Morne (next town).

Kitchen is outside and was not so well equipped (or I didn’t look properly). We were a bit unlucky with the weather.

Great value for money! Lovely room was tastefully decorated, clean and has its own private terrace next to the pool. On top of the building is another terrace with a small pool and amazing views of Le Morne; great for watching sunsets. The owner was quick to respond to our questions and offered tips on what to see and where to eat in the area.

We felt right at home at Mathieu’s We were staying at a resort before and this felt so much better and more personalized. Plus La Gaulette is a lovely town and Mathieu had been a very kind and helpful host. Lastly this is a wonderful part of the island for nature lovers

Property is really ace. Lovely building tucked away on a residential street, easy parking and walking distance to lots of local restaurants, supermarket. Nice pool and rooms are spacious and great. Most of all the host Mathieu is a really great guy and couldn’t have done more for us. Clear instructions, great local tips, flex around check in and out times - just first class. We spent a bunch of time in a big-brand 5* resort before this and honestly now wish we’d stayed only done a couple of nights there max and spent much more time here. Quarter of the price and better overall local experience. Thanks for everything Mat!

The room was a dream, nothing more to ask for. The pool was so pleasant and nice for a first bath in the morning. The view on the terrace provides stunning sunsets. And: Probably the most pleasant and welcoming host you could wish for. It’s a no-brainer! Definitely recommending this one.

Beautiful rooms and common areas such as the pool and rooftop. Lots of space in the room, comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. There are only a few rooms (3 I think?!), so this really gives you a lot of privacy. The view from the rooftop is amazing. Friendly, responsive and helpful host. Great location.

The walls seem to be quite thin. You hear every word (and other noises) from the neighboring room.

Great value rooms for those who want to visit Le Morne. We stayed at la Gaulette and absolutely loved it. It's just 5 minutes by car to the Le Morne Beach. Mathieu was very responsive and let us keep the luggage after the checkout. The rooms are great size, and you're surrounded by banana trees. The rooftop terrace is great for a drink in the evening. Would definitely stay again.
