Its an old Toll House on the Swedish side of the border - a bit complex and like AirBnB, stuff lying here and there. When driving from Helsinki to Kilpisjarvi, its good location to stay overnight - my alternative would be a night train to Kolari - but from here I can start earlier. The landlady is very nice and helpful. They have a sauna, for which I didnt pay extra. The rooms are very nice, got a good nights sleep!

My rooms were upstairs, but had to use toilets downstairs

It is a B&B - at least in my case. I had a double room at the first floor.

Boendet är enkelt såtillvida att det inte finns vatten, toalett eller dusch på rummet. Servicen är mycket vänlig och hjälper gärna till att lösa olika praktiska problem.

Det man saknar är just de moderna bekvämligheterna, men förutsättningarna saknas i byggnaden som är en gammal tullbyggnad.

Lage am Fluss, gleich nach der Grenze, Discounter ca 200 m entfernt

Dusche, Bad, Toilette wird mit den Eigentümern geteilt, Zugang zur Dusche über überfülltes Wäschezimmer, viele angebrauchte Kosmetikutensilien stehen in der Dusche und am Waschbecken.

Leiligheten hadde ikke vindu, var inne i en garasje. Ventiler gikk ut i garasje med mugg på. Dårlig seng

Ingenting!

Värsta mardrömsnatten! Fick sova med alla kläder på plus hade egna filtar men frös ändå. Fuktigt och kallt! Ingen bäddmadrass i sängen. Dörren gick inte att stänga än mindre att låsa, men det behövde man inte enligt ägaren! Fullt med hundskit utanför stugan och en stor sopcontainer utanför dörren och en allmänt ofräsch omgivning. Hade gärna sovit i bilen än betalat 850kr för detta!

La posizione e la disponibilità della proprietaria. La possibilità di fare la sauna , inclusa nel prezzo. Camera davvero ben riscaldata e molto confortevole.

Hinta-laatusuhde kohdillaan! Loistava sänky perhehuoneessa. Menin tunnin liian aikaisin paikalle, kun ajoin Suomen rajalta Ruotsin puolelle. En siinä kohtaa muistanut, että aikavyöhyke muuttui.

Hyggelig betjening

Hinta-laatusuhde on erinomainen. Kodinomaista majoitusta, jossa tunsin olevani odotettu vieras. Huone oli tilavampi kuin oletin.

Wc ja suihku ei ole samassa kerroksessa huoneen kanssa.

Siisti ja viihtyisä. Ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta. Hinta/laatusuhde erinomainen.

Tolle Blockhütte in toller Lage. Motorrad kann vor der Hütte stehen. Supermarkt ist zu Fuß erreichbar. Früstücksbuffet gibt es auf einer nahegelegenen Tankstelle auf der anderen Flußseite.

toilets/bathroom in separate building like restaurant but felt like you were in someone’s house so we didn’t feel comfortable with that at all, was really odd, in the cabin there was a bucket with a water, no clue why.

The staff ("lady of the house") was so friendly, that for it I would definitely give 10+ ! Also the bed was exceptionally comfortable.

The shared bathroom was downstairs and my room was upstairs, so when I needed to visit the bathroom later in the evening or early in the morning, it was quite hard to do quietly (the old stairs were very squeaky).

I had an exceptionally pleasant and peaceful stay at this hotel. After a great first impression traveling north along the Tornio River, I decided to return on my way back south a few days later. The hosts welcomed me late and showed the greatest hospitality. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and hospitable stay!

We visited there while we were heading to Norway with our motorcycles. We stayed in a cabin, it was so clean and comfortable. The host was increasable friendly, she even cooked our food and we talk about the cultural and historical background of the region.

The lapland is known for its mosquitos and we prefer a mosquito killer in the room.

Super hosts. A lot of details and everything in a clean condition. Everything you need for a comfort stay. Kitchen is not accessible by guests but you can ask to boil your eggs or put something in a freezer. Plates, microwave and kettle is provided in the cabin! As well as air conditioner. Sauna was good and relaxing. Shower was good but you should bring your own shampoo. In a cafe you can buy souvenirs and order a breakfast. I fully recommend this place for staying.

Mosquitoes, not a lot can be done here - bring your own creams or sprays since its a Lapland :)

Location. As soon as you crossed the border, you are there. Sauna and very comfortable beds (din’t notice how fast I fall asleep. Very nice host. Big hare jumping around.

Nice location close to the Finland border. Good shower and bathroom. Friendly people

Bed springs are a bit present in the matras in the cabin where we slept. The price was a bit on the high side for what you get. I would have liked it if breakfast was included.

Nice and very cheap bed and breakfast. Very friendly host. I had a room inside the house on the ground floor. Basicly the entire grond floor is available, family is living on the first floor. So privacy is no problem. The location is just a few meters over the border in Sweden.

Free sauna in addition to the homely, comfortable place. Light blocking perfect, many places in North lack those.

Very sweet couple, welcoming and always ready to help (even at 10pm when we locked ourselves outside the cabin)! Beautiful scenery at the swedish/finnish border, nice walks and fishing spots around. Fridge, microwave, boiler, teas in the cabin. That was all we needed for an overnight stay. There even is a sauna! We had a lovely time there, highly recommend!

It was very easy to find it. The house was clean, the garden and the surroundings were beautiful. The landlady was very nice. I only spent one night there, because I am on a motorbike trip, but I definetely recommend it!
