The house is so beautifully restored and furnished

Amazing converted period home with a brilliant host. The owners have converted this beautiful property so well and the rooms were brilliant. Breakfast was incredible and the pool area was lovely with the honesty bar. Ten min walk to get to the centre pf the little town and some great cafes and bars nearby. 100 percent recommend.

Only thing to bear in mind is at the time of year we visited the pool area doesn’t get much sunshine. So you might be better getting a roof with a sun terrace if you’d like to enjoy it.

Lo reservé para mis padres y les encantó. La habitación y, en general, todo el hotel, muy bien decorado y precioso. El desayuno estaba riquísimo. El personal fue muy atento. Además, hice una petición especial y superaron las expectativas para cumplirla. La piscina no tiene horarios y está limpia.

A qualidade nos detalhes, a arquitectura e o serviço são magníficos e a casa está deslumbrante. O pequeno almoço no salão foi uma experiência em si só, digna de registo fotográfico . O acolhimento foi muito gentil e disponível. A piscina pequena mas muito refrescante.

O sistema de fechadura das portas faz um pouco barulho, no silêncio da noite quando outros hóspedes abrem e fecham, é um pouco mais notório.

Travassos is een geweldig hotel in een prachtig gerestaureerd stadspaleis. De service is top klasse. Het ontbijt geweldig. De kamers fantastisch. Het zwembad en de tuin heel relaxed. De locatie is top voor een bezoek aan Elvas. Kortom, wij raden Travassos van harte aan. Wij hebben geparkeerd bij de stadsmuur. Dat was slechts heel kort lopen en de weg is daar wat breder.

Todo! Es un edificio muy bonito y con mucho encanto, la decoración es preciosa. Las habitaciones son fabulosas, camas y almohadas muy cómodas , el baño estupendo y todo muy amplio. Não afeta meu julgamento sobre a hospedagem, mas não fica em uma zona muito central ou bonita da cidade caso queira deslocar-se à pé. Não afetou nossa estadia. Considerando a pequena área da piscina, seria interessante orientar os hóspedes a não ocuparem sofá e espreguiçadeira ao mesmo tempo, deixando objetos em um enquanto deitam em outro.

Ficámos encantados com a nossa estadia no Travassos. O pequeno-almoço, apesar de simples, é servido com tanta delicadeza e atenção que supera muitos dos chamados “grandes hotéis”. A decoração antiga dá um charme especial à casa bonita, acolhedora e com muito bom gosto. Os quartos são confortáveis e tranquilos, perfeitos para quem procura descanso e sossego. Um lugar com alma, onde se sente o cuidado em cada detalhe.

Had a wonderful stay at Travassos 11. It’s the kind of place where every detail has been thought through to make it the best experience possible. The space is gorgeous, comfortable and peaceful. The back space with the pool is especially great. I received a very kind welcome from the host. Breakfast is very nice. Would stay there again.

O ambiente, o facto de ser um alojamento/museu O facto de ser calmo e a simpatia e disponibilidade absoluta do senhor que nos recebeu. Tivemos direito a visita guiada a todo o alojamento, com explicações da historia da casa e tivemos oportunidade de escolher o quarto.

Tout est bien. Un merveilleux palais et un service irréprochable.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben eine sehr interessante Führung durch das historische Gebäude erhalten. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und liebevoll gestaltet und bietet sehr viel Platz für die Gäste. Wir haben uns hier von Anfang an total wohl gefühlt und würden die Unterkunft daher nur weiterempfehlen.

O pequeno almoço é fantástico e o espaço é muito bem decorado. Aliás todo o Alojamento tem uma decoração e arquitetura espetacular.

Travassos 11 is in a restored palace with a series of common areas that have some quirky touches. The room we stayed in was spartan and spacious with plenty of natural light. The bathroom was ample with a full bathtub, which was much appreciated. Note: the rooms are not original to the palace and the photos do not do this place justice. Everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a set meal served with made to order eggs. There was only one person on staff, but Lisa was very nice and helpful. The location is in a working class area so there are not so many tourists (which might be challenging for some) - it is a (steep) walk uphill to get to restaurants and main sites, but takes only about 15 minutes as the town is not large (again, maybe a challenge for some). This is a nice and memorable place for a short stay in Elvas.

Fomos muito bem recebidos. O edifício foi reabilitado com cuidado e bom gosto. Staff impecável. Área exterior muito agradável. O quarto era excelente, atmosfera muito tranquilizadora, colchão e almofadas fantásticos, portanto duas noites de sono perfeitas. Certamente, um dos melhores alojamentos onde estive, hotéis de 5 estrelas incluídos.

É uma sugestão, e não um ponto negativo, mas seria útil haver uma forma de sombrear as janelas do quarto onde ficamos. As portadas funcionam perfeitamente como blackout, mas, para manter a privacidade no uso da casa de banho e quarto, um rolo ou outro tipo de sombreamento seria bom.

Estuvimos tres noches muy cómodos y confortables. El hotel combina su historia con lo moderno en una simbiosis perfecta, siendo admirable cada estancia del mismo. El personal muy amable sobre todo su gerente Duarte, al cual le agradecemos sus atenciones. El barrio donde se encuentra es un barrio humilde y trabajador donde las personas son muy amables. Hay sitio para aparcar sin ningún tipo de problema. Desayuno bueno y abundante.

Este alojamiento es un viaje en el tiempo. Destacaría sobre todo la amabilidad de Duarte, que es un excelente gerente. Pero por supuesto el palacio es un ejercicio de exquisito gusto de decoración y comodidad. Cualquier comentario se queda corto. Simplemente recomiendo elegir este establecimiento. Cuando vayas a Elvas no te arrepentirás. No voy a subir ninguna foto y recomiendo no hacerlo para llevarse la mayor sorpresa posible, cuando Duarte te abra la puerta al llegar y te reciba, como me pasó a mí,

Außergewöhnlich schöne Villa mit historischen Räumen und Treppenaufgängen mit Marmorarbeiten und historischen portugiesischen Kacheln ausgestattet. Die Räume sind modern, schlicht und äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ein außerordentlich freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Hausmanager empfängt einen und steht zu jeder Auskunft bereit. Morgens wird ein reichhaltiges Frühstück im historischen Frühstücksraum am Tisch serviert. Alles in allem überwältigend schön der Aufenthalt in Travassos.

Simply one of the best hotel/guest houses I have stayed in my life. An incredible historic building interior, peaceful and remote from the bright sunshine outside, decorated like a royal palace, with as many stunning communal living rooms and lounges as there are guest rooms, dressed in incredible textiles and classic armchairs and side tables. Comfortable, richly furnished with antiques and art, it is like stepping back in time with the opulence of a stately home and many quiet, coy spaces to read or relax in a slice of history. The bedrooms are large and freshly decorated with deep comfortable beds and huge pillows, antique cupboards, a spacious bathroom and regular daily cleaning. Duarte and Lisa were amazing hosts. Duarte took time to introduce me to all of the house and make me feel really welcome and both he and Lisa provided a fantastic breakfast each day in their equally impressive dining room, a selection of breads and marmalades, freshly cooked eggs, freshly squeezed Orange juice, taken on antique furniture in front of a roaring fire. I did not try the terrace or the swimming pool due to the time of year, but it is truly a safe, welcoming house where it is relaxing to spend a quiet morning or evening simply enjoying the tranquility of the impressive common areas and furnishings. Outside the house, Elvas is a stunning fortified city, always bathed in sunshine, with friendly locals and steep, sleepy lanes or walks outside the town walls. The castle is a short walk up from the house and it is just far enough from the centre to be quiet but with restaurants a walk away. I was lucky to come in the off season when I rarely saw another person even for several days and felt like I was living in my own historic palace, and slept as well as in any place I have ever stayed.

Preparei-me neste hotel para a preparação para o meu dia de casamento. E a verdade é que não podia ter escolhido melhor sítio para mim. Assim que vi este hotel foi amor à primeira vista. Não podia ter pedido e ter tido melhor sítio para me preparar . O staff foi incrivelmente excepcional sobre tudo. Foi fantástico tudo. Ajudaram-me em tudo e nada era um esforço para eles. Ainda estou sem palavras por conseguir traduzir a minha maior gratidão por vocês ( Catarina e senhora Governanta ao qual não me lembro do nome-desculpe!) Foi tudo tão perfeito, tao mágico e tao lindo e tudo graças ao trabalho e empenho feito como o espaço em si !

Absolutamente nada.

Veldig spesielt sted som er et fint renovert, eldre hus. Mange, fine detaljer er tatt vare på. Frokosten blir servert ved bordet og det er gode produkter. Du kan bestille mer av alt og også andre ting enn de som kommer først. Hyggelig og serviceorienterte medarbeidere. WiFi er meget raskt og med godt signal. De har en egen "ærlighets-bar" med godt utvalg der en kan forsyne seg å notere forbruket. Vi hadde rommet St. Lucia og det har det største badet vi noen gang har hatt. Rommet er også stort, med gode senger og to stoler å sitte i. Du bør oppgi ankomsttidspunkt slik at de får tatt imot deg. Det er ingen resepsjon der.

Hotellet kommer opp når det søkes etter hoteller med parkering, men det stemmer ikke. Her er det kun gateparkering, men det er sannsynligvis greit å få plass ganske nært (og gratis). For noen kan det være negativt at det ikke er TV på rommene. AC virket ikke, men det hadde vi heller ikke bruk for. Det er litt kronglete å få tak i noen om du har noe du vil spørre om.

El hotel es muy acogedor y decorado con mucho gusto, nos sorprendió ya que no esperábamos alojarnos en un "palacio". Nuestra habitación era muy amplia y cómoda. El personal es muy amable y atento, y preparan un delicioso desayuno casero. Solo estuvimos una noche y nos hubiera gustado estar más tiempo para disfrutar de la piscina, el jardín y del hotel en general.

Diese Exzellente Unterkunft war ein Highlight auf unserer Portugalrundreise. Eine alte Villa, fast schon ein kleines Schloss, lädt zum Verweilen ein. Wir waren einen Tag hier und würden es jederzeit wieder wählen. Das Personal war nicht nur sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit - man hat gespürt, wie sehr sie es selbst genießen in diesem Ambiente zu arbeiten. Die Ausstattung fesselt - man braucht eine Weile um dieses grandiose Flair zu erkunden und alle allgemeinen Räume auf sich wirken zu lassen. Der Pool ist eine gepflegte Ruheoase, die zum Entspannen einlädt. Die Zimmer hell und gepflegt, das Frühstück sehr schmackhaft, regional und reichlich.

Travassos 11 liegt in einem kleinem alten Städtchen welches sich nicht um Tourismus kümmert und darum auch nicht bemüht zu sein scheint. Dies sollte man bei der Buchung einplanen, aber wer in der Nähe ist, Kunst und schöne alte Villen schätzt, der sollte sich nicht von der eventuell eingeschränkten Ortschaft abschrecken lassen. Einen Nachmittag zum Schlendern und Schauen bietet Elvas aber auch. In Elvas selbst hat die Villa eine sehr zentrale und schöne Lage.

Fui muito bom! Espaço maravilhoso, bem recuperado e com uma qualidade fora do normal. Foi uma surpresa fantástica. Recomendo.

Al ser un palacio tiene una decoración muy especial y muchos salones que puedes utilizar. Al lado de la piscina está el salón que puedes servirte agua, café, refrescos y copas.

Que en la zona de la piscina tengas sol hasta las 17h de la tarde. Resto todo bien.

El trato y detalle exquisito. Sin horarios. Puedes desayunar y comer cuando te apetece. Muy cuidado.

Sem dúvida o ponto alto é surpreendente foi a decoração do local, seguido da simpatia do Duarte Dona Cândida e demais funcionários e por fim mas não menos importante o pequeno almoço e a zona da piscina, sempre com toalhas limpas e ambiente agradável de descanso.

De verdade, sabemos que nada é perfeito, porém durante a estádia não deixou nada mesmo a desejar.

Tudo - o serviço extraordinário, a arquitectura, o silêncio, a comida, o espaço, o bom gosto! Tudo superou as expectativas

El hotel es precioso, las camas son muy cómodas.

El desayuno es mejorable, podrían dar más opciones saludables, poca variedad y principalmente dulce. Cuando llegamos la terraza no estaba limpia, tenia unos vasos de los huéspedes anteriores.

Firstly, the customer service was excellent. I really appreciated the help of Duarte in introducing us to the residence and making us feel comfortable. We stayed in the apartment - which was even more than we had expected in its comfort and design. The entire building was beautiful, and we also appreciated the garden, pool and honesty bar. Breakfast was also excellent. Elegant - and great value. Elvas is also also a beautiful town.

La struttura è uno stupendo palazzo di fine 700. Le camere sono ampie e arredate con gusto. Ci sono tante parti comuni che sono rimaste con gli arredi originali. Alcune sale sono stupende. Piscina piccola ma molto bella. Personale discreto e cordiale. Colazione in una sala bellissima. Molto buona. Super consigliato.
