Es war sehr spannend in einem historischen Umfeld zu übernachten und zu frühstücken. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker zubereitet und die Gastgeber waren außerordentlich gastfreundlich.

I had the Full English breakfast. I should have opted for a smaller breakfast as I couldn't do the full one justice! Superb scrambled eggs. I got a warm welcome and the hosts were very friendly.

The bathroom, although perfectly clean could do with a shelf around the basin as you couldn't put anything in easy reach. Although there is a good shelf on the opposite wall it was too high for the vertically challenged!

Friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms. Freedom to come and go as we pleased.

It is a nice safe and quiet location but very walkable into town. The rooms are super comfortable and the main house a tribute to times gone by in a good way. Good and safe parking. We bought breakfast and that was a treat. The owner and her staff were wonderful. I have now lived in Victorian splendour with all mod cons.

Wir mussten wegen Regenfällen im Krüger Nationalpark unsere Übernachtung im Oak View Manor 3 Tage vorziehen, was überhaupt kein Probelm war. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und durch das Haupthaus geführt welches ein Kleinod ist. Das Frühstück am nächsten morgen wird sehr nach deinen Bedürfnissen serviert und ist hervorragend.

Oak View Manor was the perfect stop to get us on the road out of Johannesburg after a long flight, to break up the drive to KZN. It is such a lovely spot that we were sorry that we didn’t have more time there. Gorgeous property, lovely hosts, delicious breakfast. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time at the Oak Manor. A really charming place, nicely decorated Dina and her husband were incredible, very caring and gave us tons of insights for the rest of our trip Would definitely recommend staying there while coming in South Africa

Dina is friendly and very helpful, my fiancé and I stayed here the night before our wedding. On the day of our wedding Dina allowed us to take a few couple photos in their lovely garden which we really appreciated. Thanks Dina.

Leider waren wir nur für 1 Nacht in dieser bezaubernden Unterkunft. Sollten wir noch einmal in die Richtung kommen, dann buchen wir auf jeden Fall wieder hier. Das Haus ist very british und mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Der Service ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück in dem Ambiente einfach perfekt.

The house was fascinating with so many beautiful artefacts. It was very luxurious and a great experience. Our suite was spacious and fully equipped and comfortable The owners Dina and Gavin were exceptional hosts and couldn't do enough for us. And John made us the most delicious vegan meal and breakfasts. We had a braai one evening and Dina provided everything we needed to cook our food. On top of that the whole stay was amazing value and I can't recommend this place highly enough

My wife and I were doing a South African road trip after arriving in Cape Town. Our flights out were from Johannesburg so we looked for accommodation a decent distance to arrive at the airport in good time. We searched for something under an hour away from airport and found Oak View Manor in Heidelberg. We could not have been happier - what an ideal place with lovely staff as well as the two friendly dogs. Very secure parking and rooms were lovely. The history with this house is amazing and the way the whole place has been decorated with many historical items is truly amazing. Host is super informative and the breakfast we had was just perfect. Plenty shops, restaurants and petrol stations within 5 minutes of accommodation.

We kregen een prachtige kamer. Keuken aan de kamer met ijskast en microgolf. Verschillende plaatsen om buiten te zitten. Mooi onderhouden tuin. Goede wifi. Proper gekuist. Mooie badkamer. Douchen kon in het bad. Douche met warm water. Een fantastisch ontbijt. In het hoofdgebouw is het prachtig. Het lijkt wel een museum. Je voelt je vanaf de eerste moment thuis, welkom en nog een echte gast. Heel vriendelijke eigenaars. De oudere dame die er woont staat altijd voor je klaar. Wat een verblijf, een echte aanrader. Auto kan op een afgesloten parking. Dicht bij enkele restaurants. Bedankt Dina en Werna.

Die Gastgeber waren klasse. Total nett und hilfsbereit.

Beautiful place to stay. Certainly one of, if not the best places to stay in Heidelberg. Ample parking and beautifully appointed old manor house. Very friendly hosts and ample parking

The beds are comfortable The rooms are beautiful and clean There was no water in the area but the hosts made sure we had enough water for both toilet and shower

Breakfast was awesome. The accommodation was great. Beautiful and very clean. The location was excellent. I was about 3 minutes from my destination and 2 minutes from town. Staff was so friendly and welcoming.

We had a very nice stay in a beautiful manor. Everything was fine, the breakfast was superb. The location is excellent when arriving in Johannesburg or leaving from Johannesburg. We went to Oak View on both occasions and will do so the next time.

Noisy neighbours (not the host's fault, but made it difficult to get a good night's sleep). I don't think the dishes are used by many guests as they were dusty and I needed to wash them before I could use it.

We were so warmly welcomed and hosted by Dina and Gavin, even though we arrived unexpectedly early after our flight. The rooms are beautifully furnished and has everything you need. The main house has been lovingly taken care of and boasts an interesting mixture of antiques, art and collectibles. We had drinks in the beautifully maintained garden area and were served a fabulous breakfast the following morning. Our only regret is that we weren’t able to stay longer!

Amazing hosts, lovely property with spotlessly clean rooms, and a delicious breakfast cooked to order. Cannot fault our stay, it was perfect!

What a beautiful B &B in every respect. From the charming heritage style main building to the friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts to the absolutely superb breakfast we were served we highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking with something out of the ordinary combined with good old fashioned service 👍👍👍👍👍
