Reviewed Sep 19, 2026We had an indescribably wonderful time there! The location is exceptionally beautiful, right on the beach by the Indian Ocean. We received an extremely warm welcome and were even able to check in early. Elsabe and Dawie run the guesthouse with great passion and a keen eye for detail. The freshly prepared breakfast is a personalised masterpiece. The rooms are very spacious and have everything you could need; and if anything is missing, they take immediate action. In the immediate vicinity, about a 10-minute drive away, you’ll find excellent restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisine. Knysna to the east is a 45-minute drive away, Mossel Bay about an hour, and it’s a good four-hour drive to Cape Town to the west. We would have loved to stay longer. An absolutely fantastic experience.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Was für ein wunderbarer Ort diese Unterkunft ist, ist kaum in Worte zu fassen. Das Zimmer, in dem wir untergebracht waren (Nr. 1) war riesig, wunderschön und äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles was wir brauchten war vor Ort und noch viel mehr. Das Frühstück war qualitativ auf einem sehr hohen Niveau und das Beste, was wir auf unserer 3-Wochen Südafrika Rundreise hatten. Trotz Regen konnten wir Dank der hellen Unterkunft das Meer bewundern und am Strand spazieren. So hat uns das Wetter gar nichts ausgemacht. Elsabe und ihr Mann Dawie sind unbeschreiblich. Wir hatten das Gefühl von ihnen so umsorgt zu werden, als würden wir zur Familie gehören und wir haben total gespürt, mit wie viel Freude die beiden die Unterkunft führen. Wir möchten unbedingt nochmal herkommen und wünschen Elsabe und Dawie nur das Beste! :-)

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Without a doubt, the best place we stayed during our trip. It’s a beautiful guesthouse right on the beach, with a modern, stylish and very bright design. Every space feels spacious and carefully thought out. Our room was wonderful, especially the private terrace and the views over the ocean. But what really makes this place special are the owners. They are incredibly kind and welcoming, and they take the time to explain everything and give you all the information you need to make the most of your stay. And the breakfast… having breakfast in the beautiful dining room overlooking the sea makes you want to stay there forever. Thank you for everything — we absolutely loved our stay and would love to come back!

Очень красивый дорогой современный интерьер, все стильное и новое. В номерах и ванна и душ. Есть все необходимое: фен, утюг, кофе машина и сет для чая и кофе. Очень вкусные завтраки. И очень добрые приветливые хозяева. Рекомендую планировать не менее двух ночей в этом прекрасном отеле, иначе не успеете насладиться невероятными рассветами и закатами и прогулками по пляжу.

We received an exceptionally warm welcome, and the host personally showed us around the entire property. Overall, she was incredibly accommodating and helpful. She assisted us with choosing a restaurant, advised us where we could do our laundry, and even allowed us to stay a little longer the next day. The accommodation is beautifully located, just a few steps away from the beach and the sea. Our room was absolutely beautiful and luxurious. The breakfast left nothing to be desired. We will definitely return and stay for a longer period next time!

Reviewed May 19, 2026الإقامة في بيت الضيافة هذا تحت إدارة اليزابي وزوجها دايفيد تجاوزت كل التوقعات الموقع استثنائي و الاطلالة مميزة جدا على شاطئ وايلدرنس الساحر مباشرة الغرفة واسعة ويتوفر داخلها كل الاحتياجات اللازمة واليزابي تقوم بالرد وتوفير ماتستطيع توفيره وترد على كافة الاستفسارات كانت معنا كضيوف اول بأول خصوصاً اثناء تناول وجبة الإفطار نشكرها بالمناسبة ونشكر جميع طاقم MGM على التفاني بالعمل قطعا زيارة ستتكرر.

Reviewed May 19, 2026Das Gästehaus von Elsabe und Dawie war einfach ein Traum. Die Lage direkt am weitläufigen Strand von Wilderness ist nicht zu übertreffen. Das Gastgeberpaar führt das Guesthouse mit ganz viel Liebe und Hingabe, haben immer ein offenes Ohr und geben gute Tipps für Restaurants und Unternehmungen in der Umgebung. Am Morgen wird ein sehr gutes Frühstück bereitet mit kalten und warmen Speisen. Wir wären sehr gern länger geblieben.

Reviewed May 7, 2026Die Unterkunft ist absolut genial in jeder Beziehung. Elsabe und Dawie sind perfekte Gastgeber! Das ganze Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und nichts wird dem Zufall überlassen. Wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt, dass wir auf der Rückreise nochmals dort übernachtet haben. Die Suite Nummer 7 hat eine riesige Terrasse mit perfekter Möblierung und einer fantastischen Aussicht direkt auf den breiten Sandstrand. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen! Speziell zu erwähnen sind die perfekten Omelettes!!! Es war unsere beste Unterkunft auf der ganzen Reise, obwohl wir überall hochstehende Unterkünfte gebucht haben. They prepared the most delicious breakfasts for us (we couldn’t wait to savour each morning) and their beautifully luxurious guest house is situated on the pristine Wilderness beach, with the most incredible views. Reviewed Apr 13, 2026Die Apartments sind nicht nur perfekt gelegen, sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber, jedes Detail ist voll durchdacht (es gab sogar Bademäntel für unsere 5 und 6 Jahre alten Kinder) und wurde mit Liebe von den Besitzern (die auch dort wohnen und die Unterkünfte managen) ausgesucht/gestaltet. Das Frühstück ist sensationell, das Personal sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und schnell (sobald jemand ein paar Erdbeeren nimmt, werden wieder welche nachbestückt). Insgesamt hat die Unterkunft unsere Erwartungen trotz der guten Bewertungen sogar übertroffen und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Reviewed Apr 12, 2026The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The owners were exceptional & ensured you knew the property so you felt comfortblable coming & going. The view & location was unbeatable even in the rain! Lovely little breakfast set up too where the hosting was on top form. The room was beautiful & very spacious with seating area. The bath was amazing & water was always hot. I loved the honesty box idea for drinks & snacks as it meant you didn't have to constantly pay for everything there & then, you could settle your bill at the end. The entire place was immaculate clean, the cleanest place I have ever stayed. The added Mr & Mrs robes were a lovely touch & I would highly recommend anyone to stay here in future!
Honestly I had to dig deep for something we did not like, however the balcony/terrace is not one hundred percent private - but this did not effect our stay in anyway.

Reviewed Apr 3, 2026Die Unterkunft ist aussergewöhnlich schön und die Gastgeber sind aussergewöhnlich freundlich. Unser Zimmer (room 1 - Deluxe seaview suite) war extrem schön und modern. Überall riesige Fenster auf alle Seiten. Fantastischer Blick auf die Berge und das Meer. Incl. Delfinen. Das Zimmer ist super aufgeteilt in zwei Bereiche mit Bett, Schlafcouch, gemütlichen Sesseln und TV (incl. DSTv). Ausserdem verfügt das Zimmer über einen Kühlschrank, eine Mikrowelle, Safe, Nespresso Maschine, etc. ein besonderes Highlight war das Fröhstück. Persönlich nach Wunsch zubereitete Omeletts waren die besten auf unserer Reise. Dawie und Elsabe waren immer extrem herzliche Gastgeber. Die Lage ist auch genial: Nahe an der N2 und doch direkt am Strand incl. privater Treppe. Fazit: unglaublich schön und nett.

Reviewed Mar 25, 2026Die Lage auf der Düne mit direktem Strandzugang war super!! Wir haben auch Delfine gesehen! Und man kann auch baden ohne Gefahr. Stylisches Haus mit viel Glas, aber gemütlich,man fühlt sich wie zuhause. Elsabe kümmert sich um bestes Wohlbefinden. Sehr leckeres Frühstück!
Pool war leider zu kalt zum Baden.

Der Blick vom Balkon über den weitläufigen Strand von Wilderness hat sofort zum Strandspaziergang aufgefordert. Das Zimmer und Bad waren äußerst geräumig und modern. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Reviewed Mar 18, 2026The location is perfect, the house is very comfortable and light, the breakfast was excellent and top of all was the couple who runs this place, very attent, helpful and friendly. We regretted to leave and could have stayed for a much longer period than the 3 nights we booked.

Reviewed Mar 12, 2026We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful villa right by the sea. The hostess welcomed us so warmly and made us feel at home from the first moment, and the breakfast — especially the fantastic omelette by her husband — was amazing. A truly lovely place in a stunning location.

Reviewed Mar 9, 2026Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Gastgeber bereiten Omelettes mit Zutaten nach Wahl vor. Und auch sonst gibt ein leckeres, nicht überschwängliches aber völlig ausreichendes Frühstück im wohn und essbereich des Hauses mit einem fantastischen Blick auf das Meer.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026There's not much to say about the accommodations other than that they're gorgeous. What makes it so exceptional, however, are the owners and their staff. If we were in the area again, we would definitely return to the MGM Wilderness. Thank you for the two wonderful days.

Reviewed Dec 23, 2025Atemberaubender Ort am tosenden Meer mit einem schier endlosen Sandstrand. Danke an die wirklich sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber. Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht dort, werden den Aufenthalt aber sicher in bester Erinnerung behalten!

Reviewed Dec 22, 2025Excellent location on the beach, the hosts have been super friendly - we enjoyed the breakfast and the Omelettes made by host, fresh fruit - it has been truly perfect, we would have loved to stay longer! There are beach towels, beach bag and sun umbrellas available - nothing more to wish for!
One thing we would have loved would be some bubbles in the fridge downstairs.

Reviewed Dec 19, 2025Outstanding hospitality by our hosts Elsabe and Darwie, iconic place with a beautiful ambiance, had picked lovely details! A delicious breakfast. Room No. 7 has an extralarge terrasse were you can enjoy the sun in privacy the hole day, celebrate a breathtaking sunset and be accompanied by the steady sound of the ocean. 2 nights were to short, a week clealy our next choice!
