Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Quiet and tucked out of the way off the main roads. Clean and tidy and loved the extra bonus of a washer and dryer in the apartment.
There wasn’t anything bad. The internet was a bit slower than we were used to but we watched a movie on tv and it was a lovely evening to relax in preparation for the next day of traveling.

A bit noisy in the evening from the restaurant. Furnishings were OK but a bit lacking. Overall ambience was not warm. No microwave. Basically comfortable but we wouldn’t stay again. The entrance and view was the parking lot.

Los colchones de ambas camas estaban horribles, tu vimos que dormir en camas separadas para dormir en posiciones más cómodas sin caer en los hoyos de la cama, aún así hemos tenido dolores del cuerpo todos los días.

Reviewed Aug 14, 2026The host was fantastic! When he found out we were making spaghetti, and we were a large group, he went into the restaurant to get another large pot for us. And then he grabbed a large bucket of ice for us so we didn't have to go to the store He literally did everything possible to make sure we had everything we needed for a great family dinner. And it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time! Everything was clean and super cute. And the shower!!! The water was hot and the pressure high... We loved it! We hope to come to Doolin again, and when we do, we will stay here!

Il personale si è dimostrato gentile ed efficiente, rendendo i processi di check-in e check-out veloci e senza intoppi. Inoltre la posizione è strategica, si trova a soli 4 minuti di macchina dall'inizio delle Cliff of Moher.
Unica pecca del soggiorno è stato il letto, che purtroppo non era un granché. Nel complesso, però, è un'ottima soluzione che consiglio!

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026This place is an absolute gem! We stayed in one of the 2-bed apartments, which was spacious and well-equipped. We’re staying for three nights for a nearby family wedding, but I had to post this early. On our first night, we decided to have a quiet evening in and eat at the restaurant. The dining experience was sensational—fine dining featuring local produce, accompanied by wonderful, relaxed yet attentive service from start to finish. (The photos of the food speak for themselves, but I can assure you the taste exceeded the presentation!) The summer salad was genuinely the best salad I’ve ever eaten. I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend a visit to Oar Restaurant & Rooms to anyone in the area.
For what were looking for there wasn't much that we would change.

Stayed during heat wave so no air con but this is not unusual for Irish porosities. It was to leave windows open and blinds down which helped with heat. Walk in shower would have been better than a bath.

Luckily there was a staff member was there when we arrived so we could check in. A little later there wasnt and another couple didnt know what to do. The bed and pillows could be a bit more comfortable.

Kieran, Roxy and staff are so welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. Having a meal in their Oar restaurant is the most wonderful experience, and exceptional value for money. Their food is exquisite, artistically presented, a feast for the eyes and with every bite is a delightful explosion of flavour; a culinary delight. We highly recommend Oar Restaurant and Rooms.
